This bilingual school is a gem in the rough, one of Ottawa's best kept secrets. Dominican University College specializes and offers courses in only Philosophy and Theology. Class sizes are small, meaning the students receive much attention and guidance from experienced professors. This university encourages students to think independently and intelligently, in a way that is quite unique in comparison to other universities today.

I got my Master's in Philosophy there, and it was great, all schools of thought are taught there, analytic, continental, and thomist. I thought that because I was already old (~50), had read widely for decades before attending, and already had my own magnum opus planned out before attending, I found that this program was definitely a stimulant for further development.

My favorite place to spend time in the entire city. Great community of people to talk to and every class I have taken has been very enjoyable. Cannot recommend this school any higher.

A hidden gem in Ottawa's academic sphere. A close-knit community of students, professors and colleagues, coming back each semester feels like coming home.
