"Really cool place"
Very interesting place. Lots of people playing dominos and chess. Very lively atmosphere and the players take gaming seriously. It was fun to watch them play and hearing the way they talk to each other. Knowing Spanish is a plus as if you don’t, you might think that are mad at each other but it’s just the way the games are played. I even like the way some spectators chimed in with their 2¢. Hahahaha. Reminds me of when I played dominos in the past with friends and family.
Went on a Sunday morning and the older gentlemen were already playing Domino. It's an are with deep roots in Cuban Culture since the 1970's. The entire area was bustling and restaurants already open. Seen a few tourists enjoying the scenery and evidence on the ground that an actual horse was there right before I arrived. I highly recommend visiting the park if you want to experience Little Havana!
Cool place to visit. You can be a member for free if you have a Miami local address and are over 55 years old. As a member, you can check out backgammon and chess sets from the office to play with. While the park is predominantly dominoes players, there are usually 3-4 tables of chess players as well. It is also a great place to practice your Spanish with the "speed talking" locals.
Masters of Dominos. Watch the players carefully. If you are a student of Dominos , you could learn a thing or two. Lovely setting with covered playing areas. Rich in history and tradition. Must see iconic location in the middle of Little Havana. Enjoy the sights and sounds and the ever present aroma of distant food and cigars.
Really cool place. All the golden oldies are smoking and playing dominos. I think the tourists must be such a disturbance and chess. They didn’t seem concerned through but just continued to play their chess and dominoes. Reminds me a bit of places in Greece and Turkey that has the same culture.
Quintessential to a visit to Little Havana. This chilly morning had two tables in full play. We watched for a bit in silence. It was peaceful. Good timing, as upon leaving, a double decker tour bus was unloading with a ton of people right in front of the park!
To truly immerse yourself in the rich Cuban culture that Miami is so famous for, a trip to Domino Park should top the list. Grab some delicious Cuban food nearby then soak in the music, dancing, and hand-rolled cigar smoke that makes Domino park so awesome.
Awesome place to enjoy the day playing Domineos (Chess / Cards). Everyone there has a great attitude and willingness to have a beautiful time. Great time to relax and play the day away. Plus all the surrounding shops and restaurants which away you.
It’s a type of place that you could say you saw it once and that’s all you’re getting from it really not a place that you would go too often unless you’re really looking for a historical family vacation but besides that it’s a one and done for me
A stop to make while passing by Calle 8 / 8 Street in Miami. Old Cubans are always there playing DOMINO simultaneously . And there are a variety of Cuban restaurants with Latin jazz or just across the street an ice cream shop with unique flavors.
Domino Park in Little Havana, located on the iconic Calle 8, is an absolute must-visit in Miami. My recent experience here left me thoroughly impressed. As I dined at Old Havana, which is conveniently right next door, the sight of numerous
The absolute best park in Little Havana if you're looking for authenticity and the spirit of what SW8 used to be like. It's small but quaint. Go there if you want to watch live Cuban domino games and get a feel of the area. However, note
It's one of those things you really only need to see once if you're not a local Cuban. It's just a neat Gathering Place where many local Cubans gather to play chest and dominoes and socialize about politics and such. It's very small, and
Domino Park is full of life (and competition)! Parking looked like it was going to be harder than it was, we ended up parking in a residential area 2 or 3 blocks away and there is paid parking in the middle of the whole place. Watching
Very small but yet very historic domino park. This place is awesome to watch the old timers scream and yell when their partners makes a mistake. It's a members only club and the first requirement is you have to be 55 or older to play.
Nice little park if you want to play dominos, chess, or checkers. Too many tourists loitering around but the players seem to be able to tune them out. I would vote not letting people in unless they are going to play.
A must see in your visit to Little Havana. Iconic park where the locals come to play dominoes, chess, and chatting in all types of accents. Lively and lovely place to appreciate the culture of this area.
My father played dominoes in a league back in the day and he had hundreds of trophies. Watching them play here really brought back a lot of memories. Thank you so much for the conversations and memories.
What a fantastic gem in Little Havana. The park is small but full of people playing dominos! This is a must see if you are visiting the Miami area and want to immerse yourself in the Cuban culture.
Wear your guaya and cubanito hat and be ready to throw some bones or just be a spectator and enjoy the fun. It almost looks like a movie set but is an authentic celebration of the culture.
Little Havana is an interesting place to visit. Domino Park is part of the cultural history here. Not a whole lot to see other than folks playing some dominoes or chess.
Another great meal! Had the sample platter for lunch, great way to try the different foods they offer.

Fun place to walk around. I enjoyed watching the domino and chess play. It was hard to pick where to eat as there were so many choices but the food was great.
Miami FL. South Beach, fun watching domino players at Maximo Gomez park, cute boutique shoe shop, then stopped for delicious lunch at Old's Havava Cuban Bar.
It’s definitely one of those places that needs to be seen when you’re down in Miami. The people come here are very welcoming and really nice to be around.
Little park located in Little Havana filled with locals playing dominos and sipping coffee. Cool place to people watch and enjoy the nice Miami weather.
Love the culture. Love the environment. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Wish I would have stayed in a hotel closer to Calle Ocho. I'll be back.
It was lovely to see people of all creed and colour trying to beat each other. Thinks the law officers likes the friendly atmosphere and feel safe!
I LOVE the culture. The Domino park here in Little Havana was small, but the little strip is awesome with live music and lots of great food.
Playing dominoes is a big piece of the Cuban culture (like others of our Caribbean countries) so this park is a great touch in this area.
Wonderful ambiance!!! A place designed for our seniors, it's great they have places like this, very organized and tidy. Really like it!!!
The greatest intercontinental champion of all time used to frequent this park and destroy all of those who dared to play him at dominos.
It's not just the Park, but the whole Calle 8, so vibrant, so colorful, so full of excitement. This is Little Havana at its best.
Came across this momma chicken with her chicks when I wad making my to the Domino Park. Loved the park and the vibe in the area!
A past time authenticly Latino that's a respectable and competitive sport. These folks are as serious as any fan you could pull.
Go! The old guys and make sure you read the rules. Soooooo funny!!
Restrooms
Not a place to stay or eat. Just to watch.
A very small park but very fun. If you can speak Spanish, you can chat with people there and ask them how to play domino.
Really cute park, fill with a lot of domino and chess players, so cool for taking pictures and feel the Cuban culture.
Small urban park with lots of locals playing dominoes, Sunday is fully pack of players, we stayed around 5-10 minutes.
Is it even a park? It is so tiny. Whatever it is it surely is a must see in Litlle Havana. 100% authenticity.
A must visit to Little Havana. Take the food tour. Empanadas, coffee, Mojito with a Cuban sandwich and more!
It's enjoyable to watch the locals playing dominos!! They are the funniest and interesting people in town!!
Domino Park is an ideal place for walking in the hot summer. My kids and I love it and would recommend it.

It is nice to see a place for culture and history to be managed by the City of Miami.
seeing people play dominos for fun looked very wholesome. they were very competitive
Not much of a park unless you’re into playing dominoes. But there’s a restroom.
Little Havana in Miami. Domino Park was interesting with locals gathered.
