On my wrist is the tattoo 11/11/16. I put that there as a representation of the day my life changed forever. I was struck by a red light runner while riding my motorcycle. Although I have no memory of the accident, I was told that she was travelling at over 50 mph and after slitting my motorcycle in two pieces, I was thrown like a rag doll after bouncing off her windshield. My injuries were severe and I am told it is a miracle that I survived the trauma. Since that day, I have undergone over 9 surgeries to include facial reconstruction surgery, surgery to put my foot back together, surgery to my hand, acl and mcl on the left knee, acl/pcl/mcl on the right knee, repair of an avulsion fracture of the right leg, surgery to my jaw, and 2 surgeries on my nose. I also suffered a severe TBI. When my family and I first met Dr. Foglar, my desire was to someday be able to walk again. Dr. Foglar looked at me and said he would do better. He knew I was very much into extreme sports and was an avid fan of soccer, specifically Premier League soccer. After long conversations, he found that I was not only a fan of the game, but I played at a high level for many years and prior to my accident, continued to play in various leagues around my city. While I was hoping to someday walk again, Dr. Foglar's plan was to get me back on the pitch. While I thought he was crazy at first, I trusted him. He made me feel at ease, made me laugh, and clearly showed a deep sincerity in his care and treatment of me. Each visit started with competitive banter back and forth between us regarding the game, and ended with a handshake and a smile. After the first surgery, the beginning of the grueling rehabilitation started and while it was his plan to get me on the pitch, it was my plan to not disappoint him. As soon as I was able to put any weight on my left leg, I was in the gym, rehab facility, pool, and working as hard as I could to prepare my self for the difficult days to come. One leg down, one to go. The right leg required two different surgeries and was a more difficult process. The rehab was something I can't begin to describe. It was a test of courage, desire, and heart. But if Dr. Foglar believed in me, I definitely was going to believe in him. There are many people on this earth who brag, exaggerate, and just basically stretch the truth to make themselves look important or special. Dr. Foglar is clearly not one of those people. He is humble, empathetic, a magician in the operating room, and a man of his word. Not only was I able to return to the pitch, just a few months ago I participated in the Vermont Marathon as part of a relay team. My leg of the relay was a little less than 5 miles. Dr. Foglar has made me believe that miracles are possible. He is a true professional in what he does and is just a wonderful person. My life would not be the same had he not taken me as a patient and did his magic. I was able to walk down the aisle to marry my beautiful wife, have our first dance, and stand with my family in celebration! Thank you Dr. Foglar. Thank you for fulfilling your promise to me. Thank you for caring, not only for me, but for my entire family. The man upstairs put you in our life for a reason, and you did him proud.

Dr. Folgar truely takes his craft seriously, and he absolutely takes his hippocratic oath more seriously than any other doctor I have ever encountered. Dr. Folgar is a meticulous and detailed oriented surgeon, who's name should be imprinted in the hall of fame for the most brilliant doctors in the field of medicine. Dr. Folgar's name should be on everyone's refrigerator, next to all your emergency contact numbers. He is the only one who can help you in a dire crises when you have been injured, and are laying in the emergency room with a morphine IV drip in your arm, from the intense pain. My story began after I was in a freak accident that left me severly injured. None of the other doctors knew how to help me, nor would they try to help me. They said there is only one man, Dr. Folger who they call in a crises like this. Dr. Folger drove to Mountain view, not once, but twice on a Sunday to take care of me, when he doesn't even work in this part of town. He made all the arrangements himself for my surgery, for which I am very grateful. His bedside manner is also incredible because he is a highly caring and compassionate human being, who understands human trauma, pain and suffering. He lets you know that he will fix your broken body, and he lets you know that you are in good hands. He has more experience than any doctor I have ever encountered, and travels the world saving people's lives just to donate his precious time and experience to help our soldiers in need on the battlefield. What more can you ask from a qualified surgeon? His numerous awards, recommendations, certificates, diplomas which are all aligned on his office walls, stand out as decorations of human achievement, that can only be earned by an extraordinary person who's life is dedicated to helping humanity in a very special way. First and foremost Dr. Foglar is an awesome individual and surgeon. I would recommend him and his team to anyone searching for a doctor/surgeon. I injured my knee (ACL & MENISCUS) playing volleyball and skiing last year. After waiting a month from my insurance to approve my surgery, and fortunately found Dr. Foglar name on a short list of Orthopedic Surgeons approved by my insurance. Upon initial research, Dr. Foglar reviews and ratings were the best I could find anywhere! I was able to get a consultation meeting within a week, and surgery within 2 weeks! During my first meeting with Dr. Foglar, I was impressed with his confident demeanor which reassured me about the whole surgery process. He would answer any question regarding the surgery or my knee. From my first call to Advanced Orthopaedics office, to post-surgery questions, I was always given thorough patient care by him and his staff. I am now 2 months post operation and could not be more HAPPY I fell into the hands of Dr. Foglar. My knee feels amazing. I am back to my regular routine. Everything went as planned, and on time. His patient care, bedside manner, and professionalism were outstanding throughout. His office and OR staff were great as well. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and would like to reassure anyone thinking of seeing Dr. Foglar!

It's been two years since my cortisone shot from PA Donelle. She torn something in my knee. When I told her the shot hurt, she told ME it did not. I went home in extreme pain. What was a 30 minute drive seemed like forever. When I arrived home, I could NOT walk into my home. I sat on the bumper of my car in tears. My neighbor offered me his crutches and assisted me into my home. I elevated my swollen knee, and watched my last three toes twitch as if having a spasm. This continued for several days. NO ONE from this office took responsibility for a shot gone wrong. Now, two years later my quality of life has diminished tremendously. I walk with a noticable limp, with a cane or chair. I have seen several doctors and under went physical therapy, both aquatic and land. Nothing has relived the ongoing pain. Recently, I had a second MRI, two years later. It was determined I have a meniscus tear. The same tear from two years ago, that Dr. Dollar or his PA failed to notate and treat. Initially, I thought Dr. Foglar was great. That he would help restore my quality of life. He and his PA ignored my cry for help and looked at my situation with disdain. Needless to say, I am hurt, my health is poor and I live in constant pain

I have been waiting for an appointment to have my surgery. The surgery is through Workers Comp. Now, keep in mind there is a deadline for this type of surgery or the authorization expires. I called to follow up on why not scheduled as its been two weeks. The surgery scheduler was very unprofessional and stated she was on vacation and did not send to get done and keep in mind this is her job to do and not be rude to me because she did not do her job. Very rude and unprofessional told me if I did not like it I can go elsewhere as she was not willing to help. Meantime, my shoulder is not any better, have to resubmit for authorization for this procedure and my income is also on hold due to her negligence. SHE definitely DOES NOT BELONG IN THE MEDICAL FIELD with that attitude. I asked for her manager and she refused to put on line as well. So I will be calling Workers Comp to complain on the her and facility as well as BBB so they are aware the kind of issues we have to face with disgruntled employees. Sounds like that is what she is. Get out of the field Adrianna! I am not even sure if she gave correct name either. She is the SURGERY SCHEDULER.

While visiting family in San Jose toward the end of May I had a serious fall during a beautiful morning walk in a county park. The ER at O'Connor Hospital determined that I had a bad wrist fracture which would require surgery and I was promptly admitted to the hospital. The following morning I met Dr. Christian Foglar, the surgeon who would perform my ORIF surgery, and was very calmed by his manner. He understood that I am a professional flutist and explained that my surgery was a commonly done procedure, nonetheless mentioning that the outcome would depend on the condition of my bones. I appreciated his honesty and was elated to learn after the surgery that all had gone smoothly. Dr. Foglar said he expected I would be able to function normally in about three months and I was indeed able to perform publicly on August 12th. The orthopedic surgeon whom I've been seeing for follow up at Houston's Methodist Hospital commented when he saw my pre- and post-op x-rays that Dr. Foglar had done excellent work. I am very grateful for his expertise.

I don't remember a time my knees didn't have any pain. I was an avid athlete which paid a toll on my knees. It was about 10+ years ago they worsened and started locking up on me. I went and saw Dr, Foglar who did an extensive exam on me, gave me my options and possible treatments with outcomes. I did the conservative route before seeing him. I had an MRI done in which he went over the results thoroughly and told me I needed surgery. I had both of my knees done in 2011. I had no locking of my knees since. All the expectations he told me was true. Although my knees were bad to begin with at least now I am able to be out on the field with my kids. I also want to thank the staff for being courteous and prompt in getting me in to see him. I also want to say Thank you to Dr. Foglar for taking care of me and not giving me false hopes. I have recommended this place to family and friends. If you want honest answers go and see him. He tells you everything and doesn't beat around the bush.

It is very seldom in nowadays to earn praise from patients for the services that were rendered from a physician, but Dr. Christina Foglar has given me immense respect, thankful for the surgery that he performed on my knee injury. Today, is about 30 days after the surgey. I am tremendously pleased with the results as I can walk, and the wounds are nicely healed. In 2001 I tore my bicep.I had a bicep repair and some screws put in. In 2017 I was in a bad car accident which pulled one of my screws causing me a lot of pain. All the doctors that I saw said it was to risky to do surgery and repair my arm and I just had to live with it.I met with dr. Fogler and he said he could remove the broken screw and the bone fragments that the other doctors refused to do. He said it might not be 100% but I would have a great deal of relief. I have a very good relationship with Dr Foglar and I find him to be an honest hard-working doctor that will do his best get you out of pain.I highly recommend him

I met Dr. Foglar in a trauma center hater I was hit by a car while riding a mountain bike. He's a very genuine and kind man. I suffered many injuries as a result of the accident. One of which was a completely severed rotator cuff muscle. The office took care of my disability and helped thru ever step of the process. Dr Foglar is a great surgeon and has a great staff helping him! I highly recommend that anyone who needs orthopedic surgery strongly consider Dr. Foglar and his staff for this important task. I have been a patient for many years. From injuries to a car accident for different parts of my body Dr. Foglar and his whole team have given me the best care. His entire staff from his answering service to the staff in his offices have always been professional, caring about my needs and concerns. The offices in San Jose and Morgan Hill have been very clean and always equipped with a variety of wholesome movies playing in the waiting area , a selection of magazines and refreshing cold water. Dr. Foglar was the only orthopedic surgeon out of 3 I saw who took the time to understand my situation, through exam, discussion, x-rays, and MRIs. The others recommended knee replacement, while Dr. Foglar recommended and then just removed the wires from my knee cap and did some arthroscopic surgery. Three weeks after the surgery and I am jogging and biking like I haven't in years. He has given me my life back.

Dr Foglar is a caring, knowledgable and extremely capable orthopedist. His staff is very friendly and the office is pleasant. I haven't had pain (after many weeks of agony) since I visited his office. I wish I hadn't waited so ling to seek help. I highly recommend him if you need to see an orthopedic doctor. I will definitely recommend him to any friends or family who need an orthopedist.

Dr Foglar and his office staff are the kindest, most compassionate people ever; and the medical care is top-notch. I was displaced from home with a broken ankle; they worked with my barely known insurance plan, offered full support for rehab and recovery and made me comfortable through the entire process of healing. Just the most stellar team one could have for any orthopedic injury.

Dr Foglar amputated my leg and was negligent in his procedure leaving the tibia bone attached to my skin. It still hurts after 2 years and I'll need another amputation to use a prosthetic leg. I only saw him once 3 days ahead of my surgery. I went to his San Jose office 3 times and his staff was not helpful. I warn you to stay away from from Dr Foglar!

I don’t know how anyone can dislike Dr Foglar. I’m a tough customer and he has always been patient, detailed and skilled when seeing him for the past 5 years. He has gotten me help for issues other doctors have missed for YEARS! He is an awesome guy and and amazing doctor. I highly recommend him.

After about 2 years of pain in my hand/thumb I went to see Dr Foglar. After trying therapy and non-surgical options, he did a CMC cable repair of my thumb. The surgery was pretty much pain free (the nerve block helped!). The recovery was about 3 weeks and 3 years later it is still perfect!

Dr. Foglar is my hero. 6 years ago I fell from a tree and broke both wrists to pieces (I was lucky to be alive from the fall). He put them back together and now, 6 years later, they are functioning still as new with no issues. Thank you again Dr. Foglar.

I had a major surgery (7hours). Dr foglar was the person who worked the damaged area. He did an amazing job putting everything back together! I'm glad that he work on me!
