This review is about Dr. Dahche's practice and his front office staff, as opposed to his ability to treat, which I am not making a comment on. My wife is a Type 1 Diabetic and her disability often throws us curve balls in life. It takes a toll. Today, she was stricken with a blinding migraine headache, complete with bouts of uncontrollable vomiting. She has not been able to leave the bed. I was forced to call and cancel/ reschedule the appointment and Dr. Dahche's staff said my wife would need a doctor's note. Otherwise we would be charged $50 for a same day cancellation. I said my wife could not leave the bed to make a call to cancel the appointment (let alone go somewhere to run a fool's errand [left the last part out]). So here is my comment, in a day where Doctors are complaining that sick notes create a burden on medical system and staff, you have here a person who structurally sets up their practice to double down on this sub-optimal behaviour. They would no doubt protest that the practice of fining patients for undocumented illnesses is necessary to avoid unnecessary cancellations, in exactly the same vein as employers who make excuses about lost productivity. In the end, everyone loses because of practices like those employed at Dr. Dahche's office. So my wife loses a day of work, my kids lose out on a day of mom, we have to reschedule the appointment, and we get to pay $50 on top of all of our insane medical expenses (can you believe CHEO health insurance doesn't cover Diabetic pump and CGM?)

Dr Dache is a fantastic and extremely intelligent MD whom I have been seeing for my allergies for years. He is completely thorough and explains things well… and if you for what ever reason do not understand him, he explains in a different way. I had out of control allergies when I moved to Ottawa, ON. They are now in complete control, and I am now getting allergy shots to see if we can rid my allergies permanently:):) I cannot refer Dr Dache to enough people. BTW, I am thinking that he did his specialty training at Harvard University in the US. He is very humble. Anyhow, in addition to my allergies, I was having some uncontrolled allergy induced asthma symptoms too.. all after moving to Ottawa. He referred me to a really good respiratory MD to care for my asthma. He maintained contact with that MD in order to make sure they were treating me simultaneously so that my allergy induced asthma was put into a nice controlled situation. I no longer need the the care for my asthma .. not for years. I do keep following up with Dr Dache to maintain/keep my allergy controlled. If you are looking for a fantastic and competent MD to help you manage your allergies, no matter what your age, I highly recommend Dr Dache. You will be in the best of hands. Don’t expect the high glossy office, there is a simple and clean office/clinic, yet you will receive fantastic care which is what we all want. Thank you Dr Dache

Due to my symptoms, I was referred to Dr. Dahche by my GP. Within one day of the referral, I received a call from Dr. Dahche's office which was a pleasant surprise as referrals usually take months to happen ✓. A few days before my appointment, I received a courtesy call from Dr. Dahche's admin, which was appreciated ✓. When I visited the office, Dr. Dahche was courteous and knowledgeable and took the time to listen and to ask questions to get to the bottom of my symptoms✓. Dr. Dahche referred me to a specialist, who's office called me the next day for an appointment. Judging by how quick the specialist called me, Dr. Dahche was action oriented by quickly making the referral ✓. Overall, Dr. Dahche and his admin were courteous, attentive and very pleasant✓. For all the above checkmarks, I highly recommend Dr. Dahche.

As part of the Canadian Armed Forces, we were able to move our prescription from another province to another province with no issue. Today, we called the clinic and spoke with one lady who refused to give us her name and told us that we cannot transfer our Allergies prescription to their clinic. We explained the whole situation and told her that we have done this in the past several times but she refused to listen to us or even ask someone from her clinic for assistance. Very disappointed. We do not recommend this clinic to anyone. Very poor service.

Dr. Dahche is simply a great Doctor ! He is also a very kind person who gives you all the necessary time that you need to understand your condition. He prescribed a treatment to my daughter, which has been much more effective than all the other allergists' treatments that she has been given before, and in less time. He is always available for questions and follow-up. At last but not, his assistant is also a very gentle lady and very helpful. I wish them all the best !

Due to my seasonal allergies, I was referred to Dr. Dahche. I’m seeing him from almost year and a half. And my allergies are not that bad now. He’s knowledgeable and gives best treatment. His assistant, Luba, is welcoming and kind all the time. Highly recommended!

Excellent asthma and allergy specialist physician! Dr Dahche helped recommend me medication to help control my asthma and not rely on my blue ventolin inhaler which I was using daily. His medication advice was very helpful and effective! Highly recommended!
