Great place for a leisurely stroll with your dog. Lots of room to spread out. Plenty of playgrounds for the kids. A splash pad in the summer, not sure with Covid what they do. Some sports fields around the outside and picnic areas for big and little gatherings. One way slow moving traffic, traffic circle, which can also be used as a jogging loop, local schools can be found doing so on nicer days.
Playground
Several play structures spread out over the park with different themes. If one is full or you don't like the equipment try a different section!
Dog-friendliness
Very popular spot for local residents and dog lovers looking for a relaxing area to go for a walk. Plenty of tree coverage to help keep cool in the summer, variety of areas depending on what you like to do with your dog. Not a fenced area.
Picnic area
Several picnic benches and eating areas are scattered around the park. Either for family gatherings or just relaxing and enjoying the day.

For getting together with family and friends this place is perfect. Specially in the summer time people come here for a quality time and group activities. Kids love this place for a nice playing area equipped with colourful toys and rides. Sufficient parking spots are available. For food serving and preparation there are shades and water taps. In summer time it is very hard to find a spot in here so the availability depends how early you can go there and reserve your desired space for the occasion. All you need to do is keep the area nice and clean after using. It is a shared public place so while using this place just make sure not to harm or disturb others.

The Dundas Driving park is an excellent spot for all kinds of activities. Fields for ball sports, a volleyball court, a pad for skateboarding in summer which becomes an ice rink in the winter, and pavilions for planning get together. Hopefully they will maintain the volleyball court a little better, as of Feb 22 2022 net needs fixing and sand has buried roots that can trip you as well. It also needs more sand because the liner underneath is exposed which can hurt you. If you aren’t into volleyball though the park is perfect

Very large park, with plenty of areas for picnics and play, and 2 beautiful rock gardens. However, this is the second year in a row that this park has had a closed concession stand for the summer. The wooden staircase that connects the park to the neighborhood is often broken and can be dangerous to use at times. The City of Hamilton should do a better job of maintaining the stairs, and should have a local vendor man the concession stand.

Beautiful quiet places, even on a busy Sunday afternoon. Loved the statue, Mom nursing Babe, tucked into a gorgeous rock garden, full of blooms. Loved the "balloon" stones. Kids were climbing on them. Fun!
Playground
Oodles to do! AND a splash pad.
Dog-friendliness
The dogs I saw were leashed and socialized (good with people).
Picnic area
Lots of tables, many empty even at 1:30 in the afternoon. Plenty of shade.

Great place to go for a walk on a paved path and enjoy the scenery while still being in a safe well lit area. Note that there are No Smoking signs posted around the park so it might not be the best place if you are a smoker and plan to spend a long time there. During very nice days and especially holidays it can be extremely crowded with lots of cars driving around. Most days it's calm and beautiful with friendly people around.

What was once a bounteous paradise has since become quite terrible. Numerous changes to the park over the years (the school closure, removal of the soccer/football pieces, addition of a large wading pool) have made it more tailored to young children and senior citizens and less for the overall community. While the scenery is quite nice, the niche of this park makes it hard to recommend to anyone between the ages of 13 and 60.

Beautiful park. It's very big and has a variety of great activities to do. Basketball, tennis, volleyball, baseball courts. Also splash pads with a small pool and 2 playgrounds. We spent the whole day there! Lots of picnic areas as well, BBQ is allowed. It is a very well maintained park. The only drawback was the washrooms, there weren't enough ventilation and they weren't clean.

I very much love this place for young kids. The entire park area is surrounded by a road but it's a slow moving parking spot kindof road. Great way to teach road safety. There are two parks and a lot of shade. There is also a splash pad and wading pool. In the winter they usually turn the paved "arena" into an ice rink. It's a beautiful park.

  • Sienna Joyce

This is a beautiful, well kept park for friends of all ages. Children can play to their hearts' content on the playground while parents relax on the benches. Older kids and young adults will have a great time at the skate park and the splash pad is fun for all ages. The park is a beautiful place for walkers, joggers, and pet owners.

Great park for picnics -- full of old shady trees, nicely spaced tables including some under a pavilion top. lots of kids activities (splash pad, accessible play ground) as well as many sports fields including baseball, lawn bowling, tennis, and lots of room for general recreation! Beautiful, quiet, Lots of close on site parking.

  • Jennifer Hannah

A wonderful place to relax, register for playing tennis, and also has a super place to play for toddlers and those close to ten years of age. It even has dinette kitchens for large social picnics. I am also aware that Tai Chi & dancercize classes take place here. It's dog friendly and you get to see & hear many birds.

  • Evelyn LaMarsh

I have great memories of the Driving Park when I was a kid, and I love bringing my own kids here for them to make memories, too. There are two playground areas. In the summer, there is a splash pad and wading pool. In the winter there is a well maintained sharing rink. The public bathrooms are nice bonus too.

  • Karim Zaky

The place is pretty nice. Didn't know it existed until I had to go probably past by it a few times just never really noticed it. It's good to walk your dog take ur kids to play on the slides. It's green full of trees and walking paths. Cars have paved roads around it that's why the name is driving park.

  • Shari Zimmer

It's such a great place for kids and adults alike! Lots of climbers, swings etc for the kids to play on around the park. We also saw lots of adults come with a friend (or two!) enjoying themselves. Lots to do for all ages. My children grew up in Dundas and have always loved going there ❤

  • Chris D

Great place to go for a skate! Staff was friendly and fantastic ice conditions. If your driving in take the main entrance in as taking Cross St is a bit confusing. Well lit and great atmosphere. Definitely one of our favorite family friendly outdoor rinks! You won't be disappointed.

  • Sharon Gerry

A beautiful park for family to gather. Splash pad wadding pool, picnic tables, play area, beautiful gardens and easy walking for those who just want to feel the joy of being outside. The park is well used, day camps, soccer, yoga, orchestra practice, face yoga, and lawn bowling.

  • gary welisch

Went to this park after wifes friends suggested it as the best place to bring child to wading pool. The pool was pretty small as the main one was turned off. Not enough places to sit either. The next time we went both pools were off. This is when we discovered a better park

  • mandie greck

We love this park! There’s 2 different playgrounds and a huge wading pool and splash pad. I think my favourite part is that there is tons of shady spots to set up a picnic on the grass. Definitely interested in booking a pavilion next year for my little ones birthday.

  • Ruurd Offringa

This is a very nice park. It has plenty of green space, a splash pad and shallow pool, skating area in winter, kitchenettes for group outings, playgrounds, a baseball diamond and tennis courts. We went here for a group outing and really enjoyed the park.

  • Kate M

First time here and the park is clean, spacious and beautiful. Nice place for kids to practice their skating and boarding skills. Splash pad and the playground is great. A lot of parking space and lots of trees to provide shade for a good picnic.

  • Kim Posavad

Wading pool should be open at 11. Since it is for young children, people need to be able to come, have some fun and get kids home for their quiet times. Also an age limit, to many older kids that were splashing and making it hard for little ones.

  • Kimber

Beautiful , clean park. Excellent park to spend the day. Young or old , there is fun to be had by all ! Great place to make family and friend memories at. Always brings me joy to watch the children splash , run and play. And it's free to boot !!

  • Kayla Volpini

Great for little kids. Has 2 playgrounds. A little wading pool. Splash pad. Volley ball. Baseball diamond. Lots of shade for picnics. Nice bathrooms and an ice cream shop :) Oh and lots of Pokemon gyms and stops.. if that is your thing ;)

Great place for both adults and children to visit. Offers two playgrounds, a skating rink in the winter, skate park in the warmer seasons, and a wonderful place to go for a stroll with your dog or loved ones. Also offers baseball courts.

  • R. S.

Beautiful beautiful park. Went there for a baby shower. A friend of mine rented one of thr pavilions and it was great. It was right next to a kids playgrpund and a splash pad. It is a nice splash pad because it has a little kiddie pool.

  • Royce Kim

Very good park, almost always clean, and there is a wading pool for the kids, and there are 2 separate playgrounds, and in the winter they make a ice rink that is well maintained and free to the public. Definitely take your kids there.

  • Noura Soliman

We love this park! Very family friendly. Lots of space for both kids and adults to enjoy the weather. I love that they set up a skating rink in the winter. We live in Hamilton but drive all the way here for some of our family walks.

  • KD the Dragon

Beautiful park with many amenities. The skating rink is a hidden gem here in Hamilton. I've been here with friends and the community takes amazing care of the park. I've been there a couple's of times and always see the parks staff

  • Meaghan Edwards

Lovely park; I've been here for volunteer functions and for walks. Was once used for harness racing; I think it'd be fun if they did have a day where there'd be harness racing taking place here in tribute to its original purpose.

  • Wesley Matthee

If you want to take your kids to a fun and clean playground this is the place to go. They also have tennis courts, basketball hoops, open lawns, a splash pad and a safe place for you to rollerblade in summer or skate in winter.

  • Leah Lott

Visited this park when staying nearby on vacation. My kids loved the wading pool and small splash pad area. Also some shade and a nice playground. The bathrooms were a bit dirty however, especially the family restroom.

  • Erin Hunking

The play facilities are great for younger children. The splash pad and wading pool are great. My daughter who is 7 is starting to lose her interest in some parts of the play structures. It is a nice park for a picnic.

  • Mark Weusten

Very nice place for birthday parties. You can rent a Pavillion that includes electricity and cold water faucet. There is a splash pad and skateboard area. It's quite popular so parking is a tad tight at times.

This is a great park for family outings. It has so much to offer, it is very clean and well laid out and there is more than enough space for everyone to enjoy themselves without falling over each other.

  • yamini

An easy no brainer for a toddler parent. They've got a splash pad and a waddle pool. Of course, I must mention the play areas. That's right, plural. Plenty of space to run around. Very pet friendly too!

  • Nicole Bradley

Love taking my doggo clients here for their afternoon walks. At this time of year the park is fairly quiet, peaceful and well maintained. The pups seem to love all the space for their leashed walks.

  • Scott dePass

I met a friend first a walk at the Dundas Driving Park. I found the park well maintained and hosted a variety of activities as well and a great green space to walk. I will definitely be back!

  • Sarah McKay

Nice place to go for a walk or lunch. I enjoy bringing a book and reading if the weather is nice. It can be a bit busy, but that's not the parks fault... just means it's a good place to be.

  • Laura Huh

We reserved a pavilion to throw a birthday party and it was perfect; clean and well maintained, the playground and splash pad/wading pool were close by while still giving our party space.

  • Adam Carter

The best park around. Skating in the winter, multiple play structures, swings and teeter totters, places to picnic and a large parking lot, right below the escarpment's edge. Wonderful!
