We love going to Dunelm but the last two occasions not so good. We go on a Saturday to have a a look around and then have a cuppa which we really enjoy doing. We went to the cafe an hour before they shut on a Saturday and half the area had been cleaned and we were asked to sit in a much smaller area as the larger area was closed, we then went to buy a cake and cuppa after looking at the ones on display but then got told we couldn’t have the ones in the cabinet as they were ready for the next day - another couple came in after us and again asked for ones out of the cabinet and got told the same thing - really disappointing. Just a suggestion please but if you do hold cakes for the next day then could you not put them in the cabinet until you actually close - such a shame as totally spoilt it for us - never had this before either so hoping just a one off as normally service and cakes are lovely.

I wanted to swap some bedding that I purchased for a different type as I’d bought the wrong pattern (very similar to what I actually needed). It was still in the original packaging and unopened. It was 30 days from when I purchased them and the manager wouldn’t accept an exchange even though the items were still a stock item. I explained I’d been away for a few weeks on holiday and shown her my receipts.. She was the manager and was very very rude and unhelpful… not at all interested that it was only 2 days after the “28day policy”!!! This is not the sort of customer service you would expect from such a big store especially as I showed them my transaction history over the last 12 months with his store being very large.. Customer service is key to retaining customers and this store is not interested in customer service !!! Shop here with caution…

Returned some curtains packed in the original packaging only to be told by Sandra at the till that they had to be exactly packed as they arrived. She subsequently pulled them out of the packaging and re-packed them asking my mum for help whilst we then waited 10 minutes. Sandra then ripped the packaging trying to get the curtains back in and they looked no different to how we packaged them in the first place! Having spoken to customer services about our experience they advised as long as they were packed in the original packaging it was absolutely fine to return and we should not have had the experience we had at the till. Terrible customer service, won’t be ordering anything from this place again!

My first ever time here.needed 2 v neck pillow for my mum and her neighbour. They had been moaning for ages about hard it was to get one. So had a bus pass to use and off I went.via Google maps I must say as not my area. Got the 2 pillow with help from the very friendly staff also helped me find the pillow cases. lovely checkout too.and a smashing lad on the door who was my go between thanks to his headset. The shop looks amazing, very bright and very well stocked from the parts I saw. The choice of pillow is second to none from what I saw. Will be back in a to get a fancy pillow for myself and to have a good look around.

The good : Great choice of quality cutlery, crockery & Kitchenware. Soft furnishings, Duvets and curtains, drapery, even foam for furniture can be bought in store or online and collected. The Bad : our experience is you have to be careful with curtain poles, we have bought new from Dunhelm then discovered they had been used and returned, repackaged and put on the shelves for the unwary shopper. Also their self assembly furniture is not the quality you find at Ikea. We don't buy these any more from them. Some other great products and plenty of choice. Aisles are a bit narrow for the larger trolleys. Forewarned is forearmed!

Staff are rude and obnoxious!! I was asked if i had a collection on immediately walking in, my details were taken and i was told it would be behind the till for me. Quick look around the store, 20 mins later i get to the tills to be told its not there and details are needed again. Two tills are open with a big queue. Every customer that got to the till had issues of some sort, the staff were rude wth them all. The staff are all older ladies with no respect! Speak to people how you would like to be spoken to. If you want nicer service and customer care, go to a different store!!

The store is a good place I have no problem with the store. It is one of the security guards. I know it is their job to look out for people and protect the store, but this one security guard followed me and my family wherever we went and kept staring explicitly at JUST us, I noticed and looked at him but he kept staring at me and my family. Didn’t like that very much and felt very uncomfortable. This happened twice, first when we bought something and second when we came back in another day to do a return. A very unpleasant experience.

Pleasant staff, very helpful, I went for a handle for a bathroom pull switch, I looked in the lighting department, which I thought would be the obvious place, but it wasn't after asking 2 members of staff one young lady showed me where they were in the bathroom department. Made my purchase came home and my husband attached it, unfortunately it fell off, hit the tiled bathroom floor and smashed into hundreds of pieces. Most unfortunate as I thought it was a metal one, it was pottery sprayed to look metalic. Most unfortunate :(

Great for a quick visit or long one. They have a very good selection of products which is also backed up by a website. The bespoke made curtains are excellent. They have a beautiful range of materials, and they will call out to measure up for you. They also do made to measure blinds, and was very impressed with the last ones that I had made.I am a repeat customer to this department and to the store itself general. I have never had an issue with quality. Prices are reasonable too. Highly recommend the store.

  • Allison Cookes

Collected a click& collect order. It was chipped down one side. Staff member said it would come off? It was damaged. She said to swap,it the others were worse. Where has the customer service gone?? She did not care whatsoever? It was damged. At one point she tried to get another of the shelf for me banging it all over, i told her thats how they are chipping?? She still didnt care. Look at CCTV on this one. Just after 11 this morning, seeing is believing!

I went dunelm today and liked a light fight a staff member scanned the product and said there were two a young man went in search for it and came back to say there was nt any available but i could clearly see two but there were on display so i looked around for a different one and asked an other young man about that one he also wrnt to look for it and said there was nt one available why keep them on display if you cant buy them?

I have ordered products from Dunelm numerous times online. The products were easy to find. It was easy to narrow down the choice with relevant filters. The prices were good and placing the order was glitch free. The delivery was on time and i was kept informed throughout the whole delivery process, right down to the expected time of delivery. This is how online shopping should be. Credit where it is due. Stress free experience.

Hmmmmm can't say I'm impressed... don't get me wrong, the products, service and staff are all great.. my gripe is maybe about the system being pushed into giving my email in order to receive digital receipts, but still two weeks later I haven't received one... however have received who knows however many advertising emails... going forward now on , I'm going to have to insist on paper receipts.... or take my custom elsewhere

  • Firu Toddo

Homewares galore. Lots to choose from. Prices are competitive on the whole. Store is miles away from other shops and retail parks. But there's plenty of parking. Can't say it's a great shopping destination. It's a place you'd go to get some stuff you need. Overall feel is a bit rundown and cramped. Some aisles were so small the shopping trolley only just fitted! (and yeah, that's not an exaggeration!)

  • LI FOZE

Called in for a rug and was greeted by a helpful staff member who directed me to the correct area. I was assisted by Steven - who I can not praise enough. He was amazing - very helpful & friendly. Explained sizes to me (I needed a size that unfortunately isn't made) offered an alternative size, showed me it down & then carried to the tills & my car boot for me!! Fantastic customer service.

  • Andrew Batley

I love this place... plenty of selections available and good prices too my wife spoke to a young man yesterday on the phone who looked for her some curtains he found her the past pair he was a tremendous help and put them away for us to pick up last night what a very very helpful man he was don't know his nane but if he sees this review thank you very much

  • Keith Ellwood

Very helpful and friendly staff. So easy to get deliveries organised by lovely staff. Returns no problem. Layout of goods, particularly the carpet section easy to use the carpet hangers. Will use it again for variety and quality of purchases. Needs a European measurement section for bunk bed sheets. Only a small point. Had to go to IKEA for a couple.

  • PAUL E

Upon going to collect my click and collect purchase (a fitted bedsheet). Me and my wife were told rather rudely by the woman there. That we could not walk around the store to buy other items, until I took my purchase back to the car. This upset my wife who is disabled. We will not be visiting or buying anything from this store again. Disgusting.

We were helped by competent staff. My mum was shown the lifts to help her access upstairs. We were shopping for curtains, there were lots of choices. All the curtains were out on display to be seen and touched. We easily matched the two sets of curtains to poles and tie backs. The cafe looked great but we were short on time so will go back

  • Madison Etta James

Lots of choice and great value but the only reason why they don't get five stars is because of the queue. 8-10 people in the queue and the one cashier who was working didn't ask for help, until a customer in the queue asked her to call for more cashiers. They need to put cashiers on during busy times and be more aware of customers.

  • Jane Drake

Very pleased with the service given 10 out of 10 lady on shop floor blonde hair helped me and my mum told use what sizes we need which goes a long way when you don't know what size fits what .store was very clean .Till staff very helpful too, we will shop again first time been there.well worth a visit prices good to

  • Samuel Odekunle

Great customer service. Very helpful staff. Good variety of items for the home ranging from curtains and blinds to kitchen essentials and lighting. The space is a little bit tight to navigate around so it might pose a slight challenge for wheelchair users and prams but overall very nice place to shop for home ware.

  • Riva Heath

Quite good as usual lots of interesting things and inspiration. Not really big enough - should stock larger items like furniture. Usually a bit of a mess / hard to find staff which is understandable during holidays but not the rest of the time. Some good bargains though and I always like the quality here.

  • Simon Barnes

Click and collect only at the moment and letting them know I had arrived in the car park didn't work. I gave them 10 minutes then went into the foyer to ask them for my order. Service was quick and the car park was very quiet! Lots of great furnishings at competitive prices. My second visit in 2 weeks.

  • Marie Carey

Love this store. Everything you need for the home. Bought two new shades for bedside lamps, two huge throws for the suites, several mugs, and a gorgeous koala hot water bottle for my granddaughter. They've even got a cafe and had lunch. You just want to look at everything. They have so many bargains.

  • Lorraine Yang

They're alright. Good for basic household items and furniture. I still prefer IKEA, but I suspect that's to do with aesthetics. Good for curtains, if you aren't sewing them yourselves. I think they used to sell (?) curtain fabric, but I don't find anything but net curtains that are just fabric now.

  • Jan Pridden

Called this morning, went to the cafe ( Pausa ). 3 of us had a bacon sandwich toasted. We’re out all the time, had lots of bacon butties BUT this was the best ever. Loads of bacon, very little fat, perfectly cooked. We’ll be back. Very nice staff too. Can’t praise enough. 10 stars from us.

  • Girisankar Kannan

Good place to buy the house thinks. We nearby went 15 times in last 3 years. Some own brand goods are really good and good value. Car park is also not bad size. Cafe is also nice. We really like the curtains section. The person in the made to measure curtains section is very helpful.

  • Santiago Sexto Cancela

We just moved houses and had to come a few times to this Dunelm, which happens to be close to home. Wide variety of items and good quality, but I would highlight how friendly the staff is, particularly, shout out to Sharon who patiently helped us getting some roller blinds!

  • John Lees

Quite disappointed with Dunelm we have made a few visits here and come out empty handed. We wanted cushions, childrens duvey covers and pictures but the range was very small. We have bought lots from them before but they appear to be cutting their ranges down Disappointed.

  • Arif x

Good quality items for your home at a fairly reasonable price. Furniture, bedding, lighting, kitchen ware, in fact just about anything to do with making your home fabulous. Well worth a visit, and if you're busy like me, online orders can be collected for free.

  • Malcolm Crawford

Gets better every visit. Nice range of stuff They even do made to measure curtains, good lighting department, good range of bedding including unwrapped pillows, so you can properly test their comfort. Great kitchen ware department. And good parking too

  • Steph Knowles

I like Dunelm it's the best for all the things you can buy there very helpful staff great customer service. Huddersfield cafe not great for me no atmosphere not much choice short opening hours compared to shop openings. Well made curtains and bedding

  • Tendai Nondo

I love Dunelm a very good place to visit. It has all sorts of stuff you name it. I always go there for their superb quality bedding and flowers. I love flowers. I would recommend anyone to go and have a look I promise you will come out with something

  • E P

You can buy almost anything for your home there, apart from larger appliances. Well stocked, fairly cheap items, large carpark, staff politeness hit and miss but no major issues. Always happy to return for some bed sheets, sleepers and cookware :-)

  • Lola A

Great quality bedding and towels and cheaper then other places I prefer their sheets over other high street retailers and department stores. Had to go in to return something as I bought the wrong size and they did it straight away. Loads of

  • Katie Edwards-Fox

Got pounced on by a lady as I walked through the door - no idea what she wanted from me as I was on a mission with my baby and didn't want to engage. The store has been moved around, a lot - do its detriment if I'm honest. I went in to look

  • Rachael Bradley

Went to the store and was told by staff the lamp I wanted was out of stock and I couldn't buy the one on display. So I ordered it online (while in he car park), drove home and as soon as I pulled up (25mins later) I got a text saying it was

  • alan kemp

I had been looking for tassel type curtain tiebacks and exhausted all my regular shops. An inspiration. Dunelms. They had so much choice I couldn't decide, well of course I got just what I wanted and they look better now they are up.

  • Temi Ade

The staff were very helpful and there was quite a lot of reasonably priced items to choose from. If it’s a Sunday and you have to use the bus like myself, bear in mind that the bus times are hourly and use that in planning your time.

  • marian šramko

Great place to purchase things though I'd expect slightly more higher price range. No satin products. Pleasent stuff. Easy to get to store. Easy to park good for average stuff. Anything too specific might be harder to get. …

  • Julian Lemass

The staff are really helpful, there are some great bargains hiding on the end of ailes and the cafe is modern clean and had a small but delicious range of cakes and sandwiches. I even found a vegan brownie and vegan sandwich.

  • Jerry Lindsay

Very pleasant, large premises with a huge range of bedding, throws and all things household. Great prices without always nodding to the most poor quality option. Easy parking and easy to drive to. Well worth a visit.

  • Mr Malik

Sale on today, so the store is really busy 50% off. Great choice of bedding, curtains, blinds, household decorations. Great customer service Free Car Park. Also have click and collect, which is really handy.

  • Julie Moss

Very helpful, friendly and honest staff who went above and beyond in trying to contact me to let me know that I’d lost my purse outside of the store. I can’t thank them enough!

  • James Mckenzie
