Dutch tombs at One Tree Hill Garden by the side of Kankaria Lake are a testimony to the Dutch presence in Ahmedabad during the 17th and 18th centuries. We all know about Britishers but not about the Dutch. Well, they didn’t rule us but had trading relations with us for cotton, yarn and indigo. We found a Dutch cemetery here in Ahmedabad where they all were buried. This cemetery was built in 1700AD. Surprisingly, it is also a heritage site but not many know about it. The cemetery looks very elegant and we must say we were shocked to see such a gem in heart of the city at Kankaria. Most of us have experienced the massive earthquake in 2001. Not only lives were lost , big buildings were demolished too. The Dutch cemetery’s tombs were also badly ruined. But thanks to AMC and the Archaeological Department this heritage was restored to its past glory again. Such a nice place

This is state protected monument which is located at the bank of kankaria lake and at the end of one tree hill garden also want to add that this are the tombs of people who belongs from Holland/nether land. Tombs are available in various unique shape which is defined the age group and the positions of the person in the community for example the tomb of children's are inside lotus shape. If you are going to visit kankaria lake then must visit this.

This place called dutch cemetery.. Gujarat having 2 dutch cemetery one of in surat second ine in Ahmedabad.this was small not in large size architecture.this site come under archaeology .this place having near ro kankariya lack out side . This place charge free of cost.you can visit any time .this place in between garden and tree so no one can seen far away.this place is less popular so less people visit this place .this place gate is near to kankariya main gate near tickit window gate.

17th century dutch cemetery is situated near football ground and gate no 1 of Kankariya Lake it is in a open public garden one of heritage monument of Word Hermitage city of Ahmedabad but it is not preserved very well and peoples who are sitting thare are not good here I saw so many young guys are taking drugs through cigarette so don't take a risk to go alone there so many drunken peoples are sleeping under the roof of cemetery that's feel very bad to all of us

Visited on 9th Nov 2019, early morning. This cemetery is in a park next to Kankaria Lake. It was open pretty early. Quite clean. Green. Nice vibe to this place. The tombs may not have a lot of ornamentation or decoration but look good in a understated way. Pics attached. Def worth a visit.

I am citizens of ahmedabad and i don't even knew that dutch cementery (kabar) here. Dutch connection with ahmedabad. But with time that place damage and history gone. Even local people not aware about that. Every one should visit one time in morning. Its amazing place. You will get peace.

17th centuary tombs of Dutch and Armenians is an evidence of trade between Gujarat and these two country. It is built in Indo-Saracenic style of architecture. It has not been developed well and very few people in Ahmedabad know about it.

Explore the unexplored. This is a place about which many of us don't know. It's a less popular place in Ahmedabad. But it is a very peaceful and cool place. And there's a park around it. You can go there outside of kankariya gate no.1 .

Tombs of Dutch merchants who travelled to Ahmedabad in 1700. Three different building. A pyramid cenotaph. Aligned to the east west direction. Must go for Architects and architecture enthusiasts.
