I was in your shop yesterday with my daughter & I felt extremely uncomfortable & upset as I felt I was being watched the whole time I was there. I didn't realise there was a time limit in your shop. Everything i turned around that guy seamus was standing there staring at us. At one stage, he came into the aisle we were in . I should have said something then.We were at the crisp section & then he sent a member of his staff over who stood right beside us. You should never feel uncomfortable shopping. Maybe tell him to chill out a bit. I spent a bit of my hard earned money there. Whether i'll be back is another thing... just be aware people you are being watched. GRAINNE

The bottle neck in the middle aisle is bad as ever. Two gangs of students blocked a whole aisle, oblivious to the existence of others outside their selfish bubble. I bought three items but got 3€ less change than I was owed. It happens so frequently that you wonder. . Of course I didn't realise until I'd left but didn't want the hassle of asking an incredulous manager to refund me. Make sure you ask for a receipt. I bought a cake here, with a half price sticker covering the best before date. I was horrified to find that it had gone off A MONTH AGO! The cheek and disregard for customers health!

Not the cheapest convenient store around... the prices are usually a good bit above average including the price of there own brand stuff. The shop it's self is very small and not much room to walk around. It has a deli which does nice dinners but is kind of expensive compared to other places. It also has a subway, an off licence and a decent selection of freshly baked breads and such. Be aware that although there's free parking, there are very few spaces and the small road between the parking spaces is very narrow so you would be better off parking somewhere else.

This store is horribly cramped and queues are a nightmare, especially when they extend down the narrow aisles. I'm not a big guy by any means, yet I stil struggle to get past some people in certain aisles. The store space is clearly not being optimised. The deli is high-quality. Food, at least their own brand, doesn't seem to be overpriced compared to some shops like Supervalu Ballymun. The price tags are accurate and always there. Shelves are organised well. Ultimately, the spacing REALLY needs to be sorted out for this shop to be considered 'good.' Please, fix.

Great shop but why has the butcher counter shrunk so much since the renovations!? It's like a little pick n' counter now. The deli is huge and along with the large Subway counter it appears you are forgetting to cater for those who make their own home-cooked family meals. I prefer shopping at the butcher counter as I can buy as much as I need for my family along with less packaging. Not to mention the tiny section for fresh fish display.

I am a Eurospar regular and do most shopping there. The staff are authentically courteous and easy to deal with, which is a positive reflection on the manager, Seamus. Last month, Eurospar opened an Insomnia coffee shop next door, allowing customers an opportunity to break for a quick coffee and bump. This has made Eurospar more attractive. Again, the Insomnia shop is staffed by friendly and hard working staff.

  • niall smith

Queuing system is shockingly bad, every step you take, you risk falling over boxes of stock that have been abandoned by a staff member who is preoccupied with tales of their own woe or the latest episode of gogglebox to any random regular that passes and it's a case of pot luck whether you leave with all your goodies actually in date!!!

  • CHRIS J

Has a monopoly due to location. Be mindful of best before dates and always get a receipt as prices advertised are like a lucky dip. Handy shop if you need something quickly but feel sorry for the older demograph that shop there as they are being robbed blind!!! Probably the most expensive shop pound for pound I've been in.

  • Lau Lopez

EXCELLENT STAFF, VERY KIND, HELPFUL AND LOVELY, SPECIALLY THE ARGENTINIAN GUY WHO HAS GONE :'( THERE ARE A LOT OF GOOD OFFERS AND PRICES. THE COFFEES ARE AMAZING AND THE ATENTION IS PERFECT. THE OFF LICENSE HAS A VERY BIG RANGE OF WINES WITH GOOD PRICES. THE SHOP IS ALWAYS VERY CLEAN. I WILL COME BACK FOR SURE.

  • aobh walker

absolutely lovely staff, got help finding out where the Brennans bread was. communication was fabulous, got straight to the point, didnt try to sell me anything extra. prices are unreal, got a pack of extra cool breeze chewing gum for only 80c. will definitely be coming back for a chit chat with the till staff

  • Stevie D

No problems for me personally with staff or products or even the food on hot and cold counters. My issue was how dirty the floor was and is during this pandemic and also the dirat of there shelving units, this is not a review after one visit I have been here everyday for 2 weeks now working around the corner.

  • Laurance Meade

Very large Eurospar with a bit if anything and everything you might need. From stationary like envelopes and post its to a Subway food chain, if you're stuck for something its great. The prices are the downside but again, if you need something in an emergency this place should have it.

Eurospar is my local grocery supermarket. The staff are young, efficient and friendly with a visible team spirit with many living locally. I was impressed by the managements generosity of spirit in taking on the Centra staff after that shop closed - including the indispensable Karl!

  • Vineet Jain

Looks small from the outside, but you get everything for your daily needs. Situated right across the road from front gate of DCU Glasnevin campus. Crowded - mornings + evenings Liquor - available Deli - available ATM - available Bill pay - available Insomnia coffee - available

  • Eithne Moran

The shop is very handy for the local community. However, I find overall cleanliness of the shop to be very poor. The tills are a mess with the delivery details (phone numbers etc ) of customers in public view. Prices of item are not always correctly displayed or not present.

  • John Darcy

Really over priced, on average 30 - 40 cent extra on most items. They up the prices because its a captured audience. Unfortunately it's not only the students they are ripping off, it's the majority elderly population living close by and its their only local shop. …

  • Ger Leonard

Some staff are rude and seem to belittle customers, not just my experience I noticed same staff do same with other customers. Prices on lot of items higher than other shops mainly now that the Centra that was 2 doors away has now closed after Eurospar bought it out...

  • Mícheál Ó Maol Domhnaigh

Well stocked medium sized supermarket open late. Can be expensive for certain items. Chain coffeeshop and sub shop in store. Major plus for this reviewer is that they provide free paper grocery bags at checkout. Watch out for the dreaded 'grocer's apostrophe'.

  • Bella Donna

They have so much to choose from. The also have a subway. At the back of the shop they have a carvery at lunch time, that is really great value. And delicious. Breakfast rolls. Food is cooked fresh plus they also have a butchers where you can get fresh meats.

  • Breandán Ó Móráin

I like the range of items available but two gripes - the centre aisle is very narrow and you have to really be careful of best before dates. If you look you will definitely find items past their best before dates. Particularly dairy. Be careful out there!

  • Liz Tallon

They are revamping at the moment... a wee bit clustered around checkout area... I'm sure when its completed it will be fine... I purchased a filled roll for lunch and it was very tasty.... I must say the staff were very pleasant and polite....

  • eunan harten

Shocking prices on some items, two "large"(they weren't that large) sausage rolls were left back when I saw they were 5.78 When I said it to the lad at the till he said "I won't tell you how much a breakfast roll is" I didn't ask. …

  • tony b

The shop has just had a revamp, it looks AMAZING! So spacious, clean and a massive variety of food to choose from, from fresh fruits and vegetables as you walk in the door to a new Subway . Then further down a fully stocked Deli and

  • Niamh O'Sullivan

A lot of everything is ridiculously overpriced and either beyond or close to use by dates. Also the short man with the glasses and Seamus seem unnaturally obsessed with stalking customers. It is creepy. Avoid at all possible.

  • Papa Smurf

Friendly staff, decent range of products. Sometimes there are discounts on products about expire soon, 4x cheap and still taste fresh. My go to market place. Hardly ever wait to pay; efficient staff. Great opening hours too

  • Tara Nelson

Great shop but deli works are not good. Rolls and wraps are not made correctly and when you ask for more sauce they roll their eyes at you. I will not be going back. This is not the first time either, happens every week.

  • colette murphy

Really friendly staff and the owner always says hello, it's in the process of being renovated, like what they are doing with it. They do a great cooked chickens and have a good deli section... there's a subway in it too,

  • Paddy Rogan

One door in and out of here block with flower stand and Easter eggs nearly half hour in queue give or take 40 people in shop madness no organisation at all people coming out of shop as I was going in saying don't do it

  • Gerard Leonard

Expensive on lots of items. Round of prices in their favour eg if shopping came to 16.96 they charge 17, if 22.97 its 23 and so on. Do that for even 50% of customers everyday small fortune for them every week

  • paul coffey

Ten ppl in this shop makes it feel jam packed probably because he utilizes every inch of space making the isles feel narrow making you claustrophobic, not surprisingly the owner is a cranky ignorant b...ox

  • James Treanor

It's a corner shop. Not much else to say. If you have any idea about management or shop layouts, then I'd give it a miss. The till area is just chaos, so if you're in a hurry, don't use this shop.

  • Noeleen Lacey

It was excellent as usual, the butcher is so nice he cuts the nicest pork chops on the bone and beautiful lamb, I have to give 100 percent, can never wait to go back. Highly recommend .

  • Darren Bennett

Has to be one of the most expensive shops in the area. Avoid if you can as there is other options local. Couldn't believe the pricing compared to other shops for the same products

  • John Finnan

For Spar, prices are average, which means higher than most places. The Insomnia cafe inside is very good, seating places available, several teas and coffees - good selection.

  • john woods

Well stocked, expensive...but too often special offers aren't rung through at the till. You have to ask for the receipt and check it. Fed up with this repeated rip-off

  • Monica Johnstone

Well stocked and run family supermarket. A great local amenity. Cooked joints of meats always available as are hot vegetables. The parking outside a double bonus.

  • aa oneill

Seamus should have balaclava with the prices he's charging, taking advantage of the old folks in the area,1.49 2 litre of milk July now 2.39,shame on the seamus

  • Tony mcmanus

Just got a breakfast roll absolutely ridiculous €7.30 and the bacon and sausage was as hard a timber first time and last time a disgrace with prices like that

  • Kellianne mc c

Decent shop. A few good deals, has a subway a coffee counter a little sit in area. Deli down the back and a butchers counter. Staff always cheery and friendly

  • York

Expensive to the point of exploitation, no real deals or offers compared to other Spars nearby, walk to a slightly further away shop for a better experience.

  • Brian M

A great spar, lovely clean shop floor, very friendly floor staff and a supreme deli with very friendly staff. One of the best Spar outlets on the Northside.

  • Paul Halpin

Extortionate prices, staff are not friendly. The area needs more competition as this store is taking advantage of the monopoly they have in the area.

  • Megan

Nice mart with lots of selection and deals, they even have a subway inside. Long queue though only one register open with almost 10 people in line

  • Gediminas Buika

Only popped in to withdraw some cash, so have no opinion about the shop really. The ATM is never out of order though, so that alone is a big plus.

  • Janko Brmalj

Very nice shop.Every time I don't have time to make home made food go for roast meals in shop. And ill keep doing it that way as food is tasty...

  • RODRIGUES LUEMBA

The shop is spacious and clean inside and outside they have a security system at the entrance to avoid vandalism. Friendly staff in the shop.

  • THEOS29

Pretty good. It has Subway and everything looks great. The service is good, the staff are really nice. It's just too expensive for students.

  • Brenda Earle

I love this shop, staff are friendly and hardworking, the owner is dynamite. Five stars. Corrected it but it hasn't updated yet. Five stars.

  • Louise Mc Kane

Lovely and friendly staff. On my last visit there was limited stock available, but I am not put off by this as it was just after Christmas.

  • Seán Macken

Very helpful and friendly staff. Stocks most things you could ever need. Occasionally the meat at butchers counter looks overly mature.

  • Joe o' brien

  • David Thorp

  • Imelda Lyons

Very pleasant staff. Narrow isles with shelves often being stocked during busy periods. Fruit and vegetables very poor quality.

  • Seán F.

Bit more expensive than other supermarkets. Deli isn't great but the €5 Subway footlong and drink student deal can't be beaten

  • Aditya Vadagave
