This place was super cute and had great reviews. I really wanted to love this place. We accidentally picked the room that had the detached bathroom, but that was totally our fault. it probably would have been fine had the robes not been comically small and made for a size 0 to 4 sized person. At first glance the place looks super clean. I was super excited about the makeup wipe container, but when I opened it it was dirty on the inside. Things were also dirty in the bathroom when you actually moved items like the hair dryer, so it seemed like no one cleaned underneath things or in cabinets. There was no water pressure at all in the bathroom. I've lived in Victorians before and there are shower heads you buy that can force water pressure. All of this probably would have been fine and easily overlooked, except I had one major complaint that could be easily fixed. They could put privacy curtains on the windows above the doors that look out into the common area. This is for a couple of reasons. First it feels more private like someone can't just stare into my room while I'm sleeping. A phone on a selfie stick could easily view and record into every room upstairs. The second is that they leave the lights on all night in the rooms that aren't being used and they shine directly into your room. not to mention if someone gets up in the middle of the night and turns on a light in the common area, it wakes you up as it shines directly into your room. the other big complaint was the incredibly bright illumination from the air conditioner that could not be adjusted or turned off in any way. The room was incredibly bright all night and I could not sleep at all. The sheets were really nice and felt great, but the bed was still uncomfortable, made even more uncomfortable by the lack of perceived privacy and the light shining into the room. I personally prefer a personal touch and like to meet with somebody when I arrive so that I feel more taken care of. My partner liked that we were not greeted, that you let yourself in your room, and take care of everything yourself because he doesn't really enjoy interacting with people. When we came in I was so tired. I didn't want to deal with signing up for breakfast, plus I was meeting a friend for a late breakfast the next day. I wasn't aware that we needed to sign up for breakfast the night before. However, my boyfriend was aware and didn't communicate well with me, so that was on us. Therefore, I cannot speak to the food. We never saw an employee the whole time we were there, though I did see a couple other guests.

What was supposed to have been a lovely stay for our 32nd wedding anniversary ended abruptly as a stunning disappointment before it even started when we arrived and realized how NOT private our Uinta suite was. When we called to book the stay, we were given a choice between an upstairs room (where there are 4 rooms) and a downstairs room (where there are 2 rooms). Not knowing that "downstairs" actually meant the main floor--right off the common area, we chose the downstairs room because we thought it would give us a little more privacy than the upstairs room. The double doors in the Uinta suite have a narrow space between them, which didn't feel very private because you can see out into the common area (and a determined creeper could conceivably have peered into our room). In addition, we could hear almost every word spoken by guests in the common area right outside our doors. One of the windows next to the bed has no covering for the bottom 18 inches of the window, which means that anyone who wants to look in can see everything through the window. That's not private, and guests should not need to place a pillow in front of the window to preserve their privacy! Bottom line: we did not feel comfortable staying in this room, and no other rooms were available. So, we walked out and left, not even being able to enjoy our stay. Even if we had remained in the room overnight, it's doubtful we would have slept much because of our privacy concerns. When we told the innkeeper that the privacy factor was a problem for us and that we would not be staying the night after all, she tried to empathize and say that she understood and was very sorry. However, then she wished us a wonderful evening and a happy anniversary. Seriously?!? From our perspective, that comment felt sardonic and reflected an insensitive lack of true understanding for our disappointment. We felt like the room had been misrepresented (downstairs with one other guest suite and nothing else versus main floor next to dining and sitting areas). In the end, we flushed our money down the toilet because what we thought we were getting was not, in fact, the reality. If I were you, I would not waste money on Ellerbeck Bed and Breakfast.

We had a very nice stay here! Nice rooms that were comfortable, had enough modern upgrades while keeping the historical nature. Beds were very comfortable. You are provided a key to lock your room while you are away. There were a few other guests, but we did not hear much of anyone else besides walking up the stairs and doors closing. Quiet neighborhood, close to a lot of things. About 10 minute walk to many dining options. The breakfast was amazing, very delicious and a few different options. Also some options to snack on throughout the day like fruit and cookies. Self check in was super easy. The innkeeper is available by text if you need anything. Fair amount of parking spots behind the house, but also plenty of free parking on the street. Overall, it was like staying at an Airbnb with the service of a hotel. Highly recommend!

Beautiful historic home in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. Four stars for the location, the historical nature of the house, the friendliness of the staff, and the cleanliness. Good stuff: 1. Beautiful house. 2. Friendly staff. 3. Great location. 4 Pretty quiet neighborhood. 5. Clean. There are a few issues travelers should be aware of. 1. If you need an early breakfast, good luck. Only one spot on the signup for the 7:30 breakfast—that’s the earliest. Other rooms have to sign up for different times—one room per line. They did, however, make us 2 yogurt parfaits to go, which was so very kind. And the parfaits were very good. The breakfast menu looked like it could have been a 5-star breakfast. 2. The bed was not very comfortable, and the room was so light during the night. I was awake most of the night. I just couldn’t give 5 stars for the poor sleep experience. But heavy sleepers might not have any issues with that. 3. We watched a movie. Someone in another room, I presume, was using a remote that was messing with our TV. We weren’t touching our remote, when we would see a curser moving around on our TV, changing channels. I had to continually fight for control of the tv to continue watching our movie, haha. Not sure if that’s a fixable issue, but it was strange, for sure. Docking one star was for the poor night of sleep. If it weren’t for that, I’d go back and try to sample that breakfast!

What a charming, adorable Bed and Breakfast!!! We stayed at The Ellerbeck Inn July 2 and July 3 and the outside temperature was in the mid 90's. The inn (and our room) were quite cool and pleasant to sleep in (We are from Georgia and VERY accustomed to central air conditioning...). The photos on the website are 100% accurate- no false advertising here! As people checked out, we could see all of the rooms- each one unique and equally nostalgic! We stayed in the Deseret Suite which was VERY spacious and the bed was quite comfortable. Unexpectedly, the room was serviced!!!! We found neighborhood restaurants in walking distance so we never had to drive to dinner. The inn provides a free parking spot to each guest (and there is ample street parking) but we enjoy walking through neighborhoods to get a better sense of the community. The neighborhoods were quaint and very safe to be in at night. Let's talk about breakfast... DELICIOUS!!!!! And plentiful. I don't know WHO left a review saying the portions were small... perhaps an NFL linebacker... the portions were VERY generous and not one did did either my husband or I eat all of our food. The cottage cakes were definitely our favorite and the avocado toast was probably second. Also, cookies, muffins, tea, and water are available as you check in or return from a day exploring. I know I ate 3 salted choc chip cookies and they were fantastic!!! DEFINITELY would stay here again!!

  • Nick Thomas

Our stay at Ellerbeck was incredible! I barely know where to start because there are so many fantastic parts. First off, the service was so personal and incredible. It was like what you think about when you think of "the good ole days." Kara took such good care of us. I had a very special night planned and not only did she help with anything I needed but she just seemed genuinely excited for us. I felt so taken care of and comfortable. It was incredible. The room was also amazing. The bed was supremely comfortable, amazing pillows and linens. There were so many cool little historic things to check out in there. My favorite part was how cool the lock on our door was. It's like this old skeleton key with a super mechanical feeling lock. So cool. Next up, the food, it was TO DIE FOR. I am a pretty big breakfast/brunch fan and have hit all the fancy places around town and this place is absolutely on par with those. I really did not expect it to be this good. I will absolutely be back for breakfast. Also, they just have snacks around, cookies and muffins and I believe I saw a fruit bowl too. The aesthetic and decor of the place is just absolutely gorgeous as well. The little area where you get to eat your breakfast is just so beautiful as is the foyer. I had an absolutely wonderful time and I can't wait to go back.

Where do I begin! This place is perfect in every way…location, ambiance, service, comfort and charm. The breakfast each morning was to die for….I am gluten-free and never felt like I missed out on anything. Our eggs were cooked to order (perfectly) each morning and the cottage cakes that were prepared one of the mornings were my personal favorite! The room was appointed for our comfort with a perfect place for us to eat our breakfast together each morning as we planned our day in the Salt Lake City area. We visited Park City, Antelope Island, Family History Museum and even took in a free summer concert in Draper…and never had to venture more than 45 minutes from the B&B! My review wouldn’t be complete without a mention about the innkeepers, Tyler & Kara Leigh, they are the most hardworking couple who you never see throughout your stay but you know they are there caring for your every need and keeping the mansion and grounds looking fabulous! Kara Leigh, in particular, made sure throughout our stay that we had everything we needed (or wanted). The fact that this place is a great value was a plus for it was worth far more than the cost per night. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting the Salt Lake City area. It’s an experience you will remember long after you return home!

This is a beautiful B&B with wonderful staff. The Inn Keeper was gracious and we felt at home. The rooms are large and comfortable. There are multiple rooms, each decorated differently. The beds are quite comfortable and plenty of space to sit and enjoy quiet time in one's room. The sitting areas (downstairs and upstairs) are welcoming with books and comfortable chairs for reading.
Walkability
While there are a few hills to maneuver, the house is located quite close to downtown and restaurants. The location in the avenues translates to quiet mornings and evenings.
Noteworthy details
The house is authentically decorated and is located in a charming part of town. Lots of history here for those that love pioneer journeys.

I absolutely loved staying here, and I would not hesitate to stay again! I wanted to celebrate my birthday in a fun way, so I went up to Salt Lake City for a long weekend. I stayed in the Sunstone Suite, and it was so nice having my own balcony! My only very minor complaint was the A/C was loud, and even with it set low, I woke up pretty hot through the nights. But it was just such a sweet space I didn’t care. Victoriya was so kind and helpful, and she even gave me a recommendation for my birthday dinner as well as activities. Such a sweet person! And I only got to interact with Stephanie one day, but she was also sweet. I looooved breakfast every morning. Like 10/10 recommend that even if you don’t stay at Ellerbeck, eat at their cafe. So very delicious. there were also baked goods, fruit, and water out for grabs during the days and nights. I truly loved being there, and I would recommend everyone stay there to experience how lovely it is!

The innkeepers, owner, and staff were all delightful. I stayed at the Ellerbeck two nights on Halloween weekend for a business trip. The meals were absolutely delicious, it is located in a residential area and very hilly, away from the stores and busy streets - great for getting out for a walk. But also easy driving distance to restaurants, sights, the airport, and to get up to the mountains. I loved the original stained glass, the decor was perfect for the space, and the bed was modern and very comfortable. The shower was small and is the only (very minor) complaint I can offer. It is across the street from a college student (possibly fraternity??) home. The Halloween partying didn't bother me but could have for others. The sound machine provided in the room drowned out the noise and I didn't have any trouble sleeping. They are currently offering self-check-in, so please note if you need to be on a lower level as there isn't readily available support for bringing heavy bags upstairs. Overall, fantastic B&B and I highly recommend it.

  • Samuel Cohen-Tanugi

Really charming B&B, absolutely loved the decor, the location, and the amenities (bed, sheets, towels, etc.) The food was also delicious. We were disappointed by the customer service at breakfast: felt really quite rushed. We had an extra person join to sit down at the table (did not order any extra food) prior to taking us to the airport, and we were told that: "it was unfair to other guests because they also had reservations for breakfast." We ate in 15 minutes. We were also charged for an extra breakfast even though the room is for 2 people and we expected that breakfast for two would be included. So, in summary, would absolutely recommend as a charming and well maintained B&B - wouldn't be surprised if it's the best place of its kind in SLC. However, was disappointed in the hostess' customer service who mad us feel unwelcome and imposing right before we checked out, which left a bit of a sour taste.

We had a wonderful experience at the Ellerbeck Mansion! We stayed there for the first night of our honeymoon and the room was beautiful. The innkeepers made sure everything was perfect for our stay and even offered some packages to help our stay be more romantic. My husband and I highly recommend their lovebirds package for anyone who is celebrating with their significant other or are simply wanting a romantic surprise. Food was served on time and looked just as perfect as the pictures and even more delicious! The area is quiet and pretty and is in walking distance of downtown Salt Lake City, just make sure to wear good walking shoes as the avenues are built on high slopes and hills. We truly felt like we’d woken up in the 1800s and look forward to returning one day!

This Bed and Breakfast takes its label seriously. The beds are sumptuously comfortable and the breakfasts are way beyond what you would expect at any restaurant. If you are looking to be in an authentic Victorian mansion for your B&B stay, this is the place for you. The hotel manager is super friendly and very helpful; we became fast friends. If you are visiting from afar we recommend The Avenues neighborhood. It gives you a feel of being a local, but specifically the Ellerbeck is wonderful. The only downside is because of its authenticity, it is a bit chilly if you have a room on the first floor when the temperatures outside drop below freezing. To be fair, the manager quickly remedied the situation with a portable heater. And because of the comfy bedding we were never cold at night. We highly recommend the Ellerbeck for a romantic weekend or a week of skiing in the SLC area which is what we did.

  • Stephen Smith

This bed and breakfast is locating in a stunning late 1800s mansion. There are only 6 rooms and all have an en suite bath except one. The owners have taken care to respect the glorious architecture, including original floors, fireplaces and stunning stained glass in the main stairway. It was very clean and quiet, as well as being in an excellent location close to restaurants, theaters and museums in downtown Salt Lake City. The breakfast was delicious and features unusual takes on favorites like French toast and biscuits and gravy. If you’d like to enjoy the food without having to stay the night, they have a perfectly charming cafe located in the carriage house that is open for brunch Fri-Sun from 9-2. We will definitely be returning!

This bed and breakfast was so fun to stay at. The charm and ambience of the place was amazing, and the breakfast was delicious! And that's saying a lot for me (I love breakfast foods). I took my husband here for Valentine's weekend and it was great. We had great communication leading up to check-in, and the place was very clean! I only give it 4 stars because the Apple remote needed charging, the TV needed a software update (took over an hour) and we ended up just watching everything on our phone before going to bed. I would have just recommended they make sure all those things are good to go before guests stay! The bed in the Wasatch room was super creaky, so if we just moved a little in the middle of the night (we're both fairly active sleepers), it woke us up. Otherwise, it was amazing. We definitely plan on coming back; we would just want to try a different room next time!

  • Kelli Bradshaw

Our stay in Ellerbeck’s Wasatch room was delightful. The Innkeeper, Victoriya, was warm and welcoming, and made the checkin process quick and easy. We appreciated the historical details with the exceptionally comfortable modern bed with high end linens. The breakfast was delicious and we can’t wait to return and try other menu items. Update, one year later: We had the pleasure of staying at Ellerbeck again, and were again delighted with the clean and comfortable room (this time the Deseret Suite) and the delicious breakfast (avocado toast and cottage cakes). Thank you all of the Ellerbeck Innkeepers! Can’t wait for our next stay!

The most magical stay. This place is special. From the cozy sitting room to the library upstairs brimmming with dimmed lamps and comfy furniture. You’ll be greeted by the warmest innkeeper who will show you to your room and be there for every need. Our bed was sink in soft and comfy. Wait until morning when you get to eat a scrumptious breakfast. Highly recommend the French toast which came with buttery melt in your mouth eggs, your choice of meat and fruit. I could go on but you’ve got to experience it for yourself. It’s like a warm hug of a place to stay. Thank you Ellerbeck!

We had a very good stay here. The Hostess was excellent and so was the food. This is a bed and breakfast in a very old historic house. It's been maintained well and it's close to downtown Salt Lake City. One of the rooms has a bathroom next door and we got that room which was not ideal. The last night we were there a party was going on till about 2 am and it was very loud and kind of ruined the whole experience. Parking can also be a challenge if you're in a pickup or SUV. Overall we enjoyed it though.

We had a great time! The bed was incredibly comfortable, bathroom was clean, shower had great pressure and the breakfast was great! We felt supported and well cared for. The only note we have is that our room had a lot of light bleed, so the room was not dark at night. My husband had a hard time sleeping because of this. The light was coming from outside streetlights, the air conditioner display, and the glass window above the room door. There isn’t much they could do, except maybe put a small curtain above the door to prevent hallway light and we put a washcloth over the air conditioner display to block some of the light. Again we had a beautiful stay, but wanted to let people know about the light - because it was unexpected to us!

Staying at Ellerbeck was a dream. The mansion’s historic charm was beautifully preserved, while still bringing in the aspects of modernity travelers crave — soft linens, fluffy towels, hot showers and luxurious bath products. My partner and I stayed on a cross-country roadtrip, and it was, by far, the best experience we’ve had. After staying at hotels and motels for the five days prior, waking up at Ellerbeck felt magical. Everything about our stay in the Sunstone Room was perfectly attuned to our needs as guests. Thank you to Vika, the innkeeper, for a delicious breakfast and excellent service. (We recommend the shakshouka and avocado toast.) Guests with Celiac should note it for the kitchen, and the staff will take care of you. Highly recommend.

Stayed here recently on a one night stop off on the way to Zion. What a wonderful place to stay. The hospitality of the inn keeper was excellent, really welcoming and friendly. The room was beautiful, lots of extra touches and very comfortable. The cakes and drinks a welcome addition in the lobby area too. Breakfast was outstanding one of the best of our trip, the Johnny cakes just delicious. We were able to leave our car on check out to explore SLC then came back when we were ready to set off. Wonderful place in an ideal location to reach downtown. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we get to come back.

Wow! This place is magical, the Pictures do not do it Justice. We had a chance to see ALL the rooms - and they’re are gorgeous in person. The design is so thoughtful & charming - and we stay in incredible places around the world. Beds, Breakfast & staff 5***** Read the unusual history of the home, it will amaze you. The homes original 1800s FEMALE owner, Henrietta, looks exactly like the lovely - current manager/host - Victoriya! It’s as if she reincarnated to host you in her Victorian home. Crazy. The house carry’s a very feminine-power vibe along with comfort, style and tasteful nods to the Victorian era & local history. book this place.

Our stay felt so magical! The house itself is just beautiful, the rooms are all so unique and filled with character. We stayed in the Sunstone room and it had the cutest balcony not to mention the most comfortable bed. Everything was clean the staff were wonderful and the breakfast was fantastic I recommend the biscuits and gravy! The location is great you are super close to downtown but out of the way still that it’s not crazy busy. 10 out of 10 I would definitely stay here again!

Ellerbeck Bed & Breakfast was a fantastic place to stay. The B&B is located in a really nice area of SLC and the Innkeeper was delightful. Parking was easy for us, as was check-in. Our room, the Sunstone Suite, had outdoor seating on the second floor balcony, which was welcome while we enjoyed our morning coffee before we went down for breakfast. Breakfast was hearty and delicious (the bacon was the best I've ever had!). Bring an eye mask to wear at night if you're used to a pitch black room at night, as there is ambient city light.

We had a wonderful stay at Ellerbeck! The property was very clean and well kept. We stayed in the Wasatch Suite, which was absolutely beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. There was a bit of noise from the road, but they thoughtfully had a white noise machine in the room for guests to use. Loved this place so much! We happened to plan our stay during an epic snowstorm & it was magical. The whole city was blanketed in frosting. Really beautiful! With the place being fully booked, we thought we'd hear other guests but that wasn't a problem at all. We enjoyed the creaky floors, old door knobs, antique furniture, & wonderful old books. Dina and I love staying at old, historic hotels and B&B’s. The Ellerbeck B&B was easily one of the very best we’ve ever been in. Everything was amazing about it right down to the antique Edison phonograph downstairs that actually works! Best breakfast ever as well. The Bison gravy over cornbread was my favorite item on the menu and I wish I had some now! Add eggs, bacon and coffee and wow, just wow! You cannot go wrong staying at the Ellerbeck, I guarantee it.

We love the nostalgic ambiance of the mansion and the timelessness of the decor! Kara, our chef and server, was very friendly and gracious. We chatted pleasantly with her while enjoying a delicious breakfast. We've been here once before, during the Coronapocolypse and will come here again in the future. The only issue is that the space heater for the room had been misplaced and it was a little cool. An extra blanket worked great.

Ellerbeck Mansion was my best guest experience, anywhere, ever. Their team has simply perfected hospitality, and they made me feel right at home. My room was beautifully decorated, clean, and so cozy. Extra points for a lovely, welcoming staff from the barista at the cafe to the innkeeper Victoriya. If you are needing a cozy, inviting, and luxurious spot during your time in Salt Lake City, this is it! Best wishes Ellerbeck staff, hope to see you again one day!

Incredibly magical, charming, and perfect! This was our first stay at Ellerbeck Bed & Breakfast, and we are already looking forward to our next visit! The room was great, and we enjoyed every detail (and the bed was so comfy - bonus!) Breakfast was absolutely delicious - thank you Victoryia! We also enjoyed chatting around the fireplace before and after breakfast. Also noted that Victoryia was wonderful in answering all of my emails before we even arrived. 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent location, beautiful bedroom with soft linens. Instructions and directions were very clear. Sign up for breakfast as soon as you enter the front door. Trust me, you will not be disappointed in the amazing breakfast! I stayed in the Sunstone suite with a private bathroom. I would definitely recommend this to my family who often visits other family members in Salt Lake City. There are two bedrooms on the main living level to avoid the stairs. A great experience.

Just beautiful! I just got in from Cali and felt so relaxed coming in. I stayed in the Deseret room. Very spacious! It's walking distance (or scooter if you dare) to the Capitol and Temple. Much to do and explore. It's a perfect middle ground to start your trip. Kara delivered breakfast this morning and I about fell over. Beautifully presented on a stainless silver tray and the food was outstanding. Considering it's a historic mansion the room was very comfortable with all the amenities you would want. You get

My first stay at Ellerbeck, and it was absolutely wonderful! The building is elegant and beautiful, the decor is intriguing and nostalgic. For a moment you feel like you’re transported to a different time, absolutely peaceful and tranquil. Then, the breakfast was delicious; the cottage cakes were fantastic! The staff is extremely friendly. I can’t say enough good things about my experience. I highly recommend the Ellerbeck bed-and-breakfast as a unique place to stay in Salt Lake City, and I’ll be back for sure!

  • Julie Hagen

Great place to stay and I'd definitely go back! Friendly staff, great breakfasts, and delicious home-baked chocolate chip cookies provided daily! The B&B was a little further away from amenities than anticipated and required a 15+ minute walk or drive but was situated on a quiet street. The breakfasts were beautiful, although I do wish one of the choices was more basic like a country scramble or breakfast sandwich. All in all, I enjoyed my stay tremendously!

Excellent place to stay at! My husband and I stayed here for his birthday is the Uinta suite and it was above and beyond! The staff is so friendly and amazing. The breakfast is fantastic! The details of the mansion are spectacular and so beautiful. The rooms are so clean and the mattress is so comfy. I would definitely recommend staying here. You don’t get this type of service at a hotel. Definitely an experience of a life time!!!

Oh my goodness! We stayed the night to kick off my birthday week, and instantly fell in love. We stayed in the Uinta suite, and it was beautiful. We added on a love bird package, and the attention to detail was so appreciated. The staff is so kind, and the hotel is unique and stunning. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. The perfect start to our day! We will 100% be back. Thank you so much to the innkeepers!!

Really enjoyed our stay here! We arrived late and we’re able to park in their parking lot and use the keypad to get in no problem. The room had so many fun touches! We stayed in the Uintah room. The breakfast alone was worth the stay!! It was a short walk from some gorgeous views of the capitol, a cathedral, and a grocery store/pharmacy/liquor store and a short drive from university of Utah, temple square, and downtown. Highly recommend checking this place out for a cozy and fun experience.

  • Ethan Thomas

What a beautiful, welcoming and comfortable spot! We were so pleased with our stay here in the Zion room. The bedding was superb, far nicer than any typical chain hotel would ever want to be. Wifi had excellent speed. The mansion itself had so much character and was exceptionally well done. Breakfast was delicious and gone very quickly, portions were perfect. The coffee... just the right amount of boldness without setting off heart palpitations, again perfect. We will definitely be back.

I couldn't have asked for a better stay at Ellerbeck. The room was larger than I expected, with very clean sheets. The surrounding area was walkable and safe with the option of getting to Downtown Salt Lake in less than 10 minutes by car. More importantly, the awesome innkeeper Victoriya was incredible. The small touches throughout my stay from the welcome messages, to the cookies in the foyer and her kindness/hospitality made the stay feel extra special for me. Thank you again!

  • Hope Barretto-Squire

Our one night stay at Ellerbeck was great! The house was charming, the staff was friendly without being overbearing. Breakfast was delicious. The beds were comfortable and the room (including attached full bathroom) was well stocked. The only issue was the temperature, it got pretty cold at night. We loved our stay, would stay again, and would recommend to others!

I had a lovely one-night stay here. The bed was very comfortable, the room was well appointed, and the breakfast was delicious. And I can’t stop thinking about the chocolate chip cookies available at all times in the foyer. Plus, you can’t beat the details and character of an older home. The neighborhood was nice to walk around in, including to a nearby tasty restaurant.

We were in SLC for a Christmas program that was late getting over so we decided to stay the night at Ellerbeck. The host was amazing - she greeted us at the door and made sure from that point that we were taken care of. Love the old house - it is so well preserved and takes you back to that time period. The Breakfast was amazing, so many good choices to select from on the menu. Quiet neighborhood . We will be back - thanks for stay and hospitality.

Our stay at the Ellerbeck bed & breakfast was wonderful. The rooms were elegant and cozy. Great mattress with soft cotton sheets. The inn keepers were warm and welcoming. They let us check in early and gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations. The morning breakfast was absolutely delicious. I’d highly recommend this Inn if you’re traveling to Salt Lake City.

Enjoyed our stay! Room was cozy and comfortable. A lighter weight blanket would have been nice but the bed was very comfortable. Love the patio area out back. The cafe was busy. This is a unique place to stay. We chose it for that reason. Not your run of the mill hotel. It has quirks like any old structure. The service was fabulous. The breakfast was gourmet style. Very impressed. The location is good, but a bit noisy with traffic. Nothing you can do about that. We were in the deseret suite with our own bathroom. Bed and bedding were comfortable. Thank you!

My husband and I recently stayed in the Uinta Suite. We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was cozy and clean. When we first arrived we grabbed hot chocolate and croissants which were offered from the dining space. The mansion is lovely and decorated to time period. The wooden floors and chandelier were original. I marveled at the hinges on our Butler Pantry bathroom door. The breakfast was amazingly delicious! Thank you Ellerbeck!

Amazing place with amazing staff and owners. I took my mom for her birthday and she loved the atmosphere and we enjoyed our stay so much. I booked an afternoon tea for myself and several friends. It was LOVELY. The Carriage House at Ellerbeck is darling and the staff made us feel so welcome and fancy. They had set up the most gorgeous spread of pastries and subtle decor. We brought some of our own decorations too which was nice. The tea and the sandwiches were very good and beautifully presented. It was SUCH a lovely afternoon and I would recommend to anyone!

What an amazing place! Not only was the service fantastic, but the room was extremely cozy, clean, warm, and comfortable. Such a perfect escape during these cold months. This was also the best breakfast I have ever had, absolutely delicious! Definitely will be coming back as soon as possible and recommending to all of my friends. The innkeeper was extremely kind and inviting. And the history of the building is amazing!

The inn-keeper was lovely and helpful, breakfast was delicious, and our room was perfect.
