We were in Charlotte last minute for a family emergency. They were SO kind, and made space for us despite being fully booked. This really is a little "oasis" in an urban setting. I think the back part of the park is for long term and is pretty, with lots of trees and grass, concrete pads and full hookups. There are some long term/ mobile homes, but mostly RVs and 5th Wheels. Everything was tidy. The front area is a gravel lot (closer to the road), and I'd guess it's for short term. (?) They described the RV park as "urban camping" in the city, and that description is accurate! This park is all about location. If you need to be near downtown, this is the place to be. We used it as a base location for sleeping at night, and it was perfect for that. We slept soundly each night, felt safe, and the staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. We will absolutely come back and stay here again if the need arises. One note, we were in a 40ft RV, towing a truck, and had trouble making the first turn into the park (on the right side as you face the car dealership in front of the park), due to a large tree. The second turn in (on the left of the car dealership as you face it) looks like it will be a better choice for big rigs, and we used it to leave the park without any trouble. Next time we might also try to unhook our tow vehicle before we get there (e.g. at a rest stop) to help with entering the park. (Though once you're in the park, there's plenty of room to unhook.) Thanks again to Elmore RV Park! You were a lifesaver for us, and made our emergency stay in Charlotte so much easier.

Came to Charlotte in Aug 2018 because of my job. Need a place to park my rv for about 6 months ended up staying 3 years. The camp ground doesn’t have a laundry facility but there is a laundry mat up the road. Yes it’s inconvenient but the price to stay here is fantastic. You have the option to pay by the week or the month. The people that own the rv park are phenomenal. Can’t say enough about how nice they are. It’s quite here and no one bothers anyone. The location is convenient to uptown Charlotte, the airport and a Walmart. They have lawn service with is great. If you’re looking for a typical campground with fire rings, a lake, laundry facilities and picnic tables this isn’t the place for you. If your looking for a place you will need to stay overnight while traveling, place where you need to stay due to work, or just a place you need to have set up while your traveling between places to work this is definitely the place for you. I really can’t say how amazing they are. I would definitely stay here again. I could leave for a week and never have to worry about my camper. Come check them out! You will be glad you did. I know I am

We stayed here with our 5th wheel for 4 days over Christmas 2018. Short term stays are put onto a gravel parking lot at the entrance so this isn't really a campground. (no amenities, no picnic table, no fire ring) We selected this location because it was the closest RV park to downtown Charlotte. Upon reflection we should have selected a campground close to 495 bc we would have had just as easy access to all parts of Charlotte (via 495) and probably more ambience. Power and water supply were adequate, WiFi was very poor to non existent. The area was clean and concealed from the main road however we did not feel comfortable with the security of the area. (Busy road, Sketchy neighborhood) Every day we heard the train and police and ambulance sirens going by which didn't bother us but some people might not like it. The gravel lot was also pretty tight and if it had been full, it would have been a real challenge to back in.

Called to book a stay while in the area, and they don’t allow children?? Do they allow elderly? What about adults with Down syndrome? Vets? People of multi-ethnic background? What about men who drink and abuse people? Are they banned from your campground as well? That’s pretty messed up. I could understand if this was a 55+ retirement community, but it’s a campground. And no, I’m not posting to boost my local guide status as tackily stated to another reviewer. This is discrimination and it’s disgusting. The federal Fair Housing Act (FHA) (42 U.S. Code §§ 3601-3619 and 3631) states the only exceptions would be if this campground has a senior housing exemption or health/safety concern and nothing on their website validates either case. This is the epitome of a federal violation of familial status discrimination, and if a family wanted to pursue it, I’d imagine they’d have significant grounds to do so.

We were in route from Georgia to Virginia when the transmission in my truck went out in Charlotte NC. After getting the truck towed, we needed a place for our 5th wheel to be towed so we had a place to stay while waiting for truck repairs. I tried four campgrounds, two never answered, one said I can't stay without a truck, but Elmore RV Park said they will help me out. During a rain storm they walked me to my full hook-up site and made sure I was okay. I can tell it's really not a site for a big rig like mine, but they did it anyway, to help me out. I cannot express how grateful I am for their assistance and accommodations. Thank you, thank you!

Visited RV park while in town for job interview. Park was pleasantly quiet even as it is situated in the heart of Charlotte. Grounds were clean and well maintained. Convenient to downtown and the university area. Park owner very helpful in lining up an after hours check in (10:00 pm) and even gave me an excellent recommendation on a restaurant (Cabo Fish Taco) in the art district of NoDa about 4-5 minutes away. Wi-Fi (included) worked perfectly and came in handy during my 3 night stay. I am actually looking at staying there as we relocate for the next 2 months until we are able to locate a home. Several tenants made me feel welcomed.

  • Family Reyes

The park may not be an ideal destination for families with children, according to Claudio Reyes' review on RV Market Reviews. Reyes suggests that the park does not have a family-friendly atmosphere and discourages families with children from visiting. However, it is important to note that this is only one individual's experience and perspective. Conducting further research, such as reading reviews from other sources or contacting the park directly, may provide a more comprehensive understanding of their policies towards families with children. This park is perfect for adults.

Okay, this is not a resort and my five stars would not indicate that the park is a luxury park. It only offers 30 amps, the water pressure is low and the sewer connection is not threaded. The price is not a bargain, but is reasonable for a site close to downtown. The sites are level and crushed rock. Even though it is practically on a busy street, being set back a little really seems to reduce the traffic noise. The wifi is blazing fast. Most of all the owners really go out of the way to get you settled in and tend to your needs. For those reasons I give 5 stars.

Great place If you are temporarily camping and coming in late at night, when you FIRST enter the park there is a gravel parking lot on the right . Camp there . It comes up quick. Do a pre-walk and don't be a goober and just drive in the place. Its a great place to stay. TWC Cable is easy to get and works great. Its an oasis , which is hard to believe when you see the surrounding area. The rates are great , good water pressure and the power is a true 50 amps. The staff is super friendly and Debbie is easy on the eyes , another plus.

We stayed here for 9 nights only because we needed to be in Charlotte and this place was the most convenient. Almost all the sites had permanent or long term residents. For those passing through, you will likely get placed on the gravel lot at the front of the park. We were parked under a tree so that was nice. Park is right off a busy street with lots of noise. I never felt unsafe but chose to stay somewhere else the one night my dogs were not with me. The owner was very nice when I checked in. No bath or laundry facilities.

  • Laurel Carlson

Okay to pull into to just sleep. RVs are really packed in tight. Not much more than enough room to open doors. They said they had hot showers. On the bathroom building there's a sign "unattended shower at own risk". Unattended is a grievous understatement!! Hadn't been touched by a cleaning person for at least 5 years! Toilets were filthy and rusty. Floors filthy and half covered with leaves. Out of curiosity I turned on the shower and it ran liquid rust for a minute before I just shut it off.

We had a great experience! .Mike and his wife were very professional and friendly. We are traveling from Maine to Ga and wanted a an easy affordable place right off rt 85 and we got it. The property is a well maintained little slice of country heaven in the middle of a slightly rugged city area :) I had a nice peaceful walk through the property where many people reside in their RVs. . I would definitely stay again. Thank you!

This park is geared towards long term tenants but will accommodate short and medium term renters as well. Short term rentals are in a gravel lot at the front of the park. The amenities there are no-frills but everything you need at a reasonable price. Despite being in a commercial area of town, the park is very safe and has mature landscaping. Very convenient to downtown, NoDa, and the University area. I love it here!

  • Thomas Berry

Great place to stay!! Very nice sites with ample parking. Very quiet and an exceptional staff. Clean grounds and they were very helpful when I had an issue with my RV, infact Keenan was even nice enough to loan me some tools so I could resolve my issue. Everyone from the owners/ manager to the other residents were very Friendly. Stayed here for 2 months and was Very Pleased with the experience!!

  • Ronald Turner

I have been there 4 times and have always been very nice. They have always been able to accommodate me whether I was short term or long term. It is kept up very well. The gravel area is for short term. The long term has concrete pads and are under the trees. Has electric , water and sewer along with wifi. It's a very short from Uptown and not that far from the speedway. It is nice and quiet.

  • Joshua Benner

Well maintained area with pleasant staff. It is dated and seems out of place only because its been there longer than whats in the surrounding area. It's a quiet and safe place to stay with your camper/RV...some of which seem permanent. Its not a family style campground/RV park but its great if you are passing through or staying in town for an event (like the races we went to) 5 stars

  • Jean Edwards

We needed a place to stay with our travel trailer while visiting relatives. Although the area for transients is small, the gravel lot was level with full hookups, clean and safe. The area was very conveniently located to the interstate. The host was friendly and helpful. Campers must have their own bathroom facilities. No public bathhouse, which rules out a long term visit for me.

  • Alex Cooley

I just stayed here for a month an a half and loved it very clean quiet park very responsive when you need to talk with someone always very friendly to talk with and great people its also a very safe park we left our camper and truck there for 4 days unattended and nothing was touched witch is very impressive for being in almost the heart of Charlotte

  • Alli Prokop

It is what it is. Great price for full hookups in the city. We stayed for a weekend and enjoyed it. Easy location to drive or Uber around the city. Keep in mind it’s an urban environment, but we felt safe and it was quiet since it is tucked back from the road. Best of all the guy who runs it is friendly and accommodating. …

  • PABLO GUTIERREZ

We stayed for the weekend. Very friendly staff, very affordable, all hook-ups, plus internet! Close to restaurants and stores. One small disappointment, in the website it advertised pull thru sites, we have no trouble backing up, but we look for pull thru sites because rig and truck are over 50 ft. (Travel trailer pull behind).

  • Beck Elan

We needed a safe place to park while visiting doctors in Charlotte. Elmore is no frills but that is all we needed...hookups and off the road. It was actually quite quiet. Friendly hosts. Just be aware the office is in the Phil Jackson building that fronts the road. The entrance with a trailer is tight...but aok. Thanks!!

  • Katrina Pearl

Travel nurse, stayed at Elmore Rv for 6 months. Pleasant understanding staff. Staff will go out of the way to help. I felt completely safe there, being the biggest plus. 12 minutes from downtown. 10 minutes from NODA. Thanks Elmore for making my stay so great.

  • Heather Pennypacker

Not what we expected from the pictures on their website. Looked nothing like the pictures. It is a run down trailer park with a small gravel lot for rv's to hook up. We didn't feel safe in that area and didn't stay, we found a different rv park to go to.

  • Where RV now

Great location close to the city. Owner was very nice and communicative! Not the fanciest RV park but great for what we needed and the price. Would definitely stay again! No communal bathrooms or fitness center and other amenities.

  • Tiffany Stone

we was considering staying at this park but after reading the rules on the website I clearly see my family won't be accepted here too much controlling to many rules and I get it you don't like kids or families wow …

  • Wallace Anderson

Was in town for Panthers preseason game against the Steelers. Was convenient to the stadium and downtown area. $7 Uber ride and we were good to go. WiFi was a bonus. Rate was $32/nt which is good for urban camping.

  • OZZY ONTIVEROS

Nice people that are very busy running their businesses. The park is nice and it's quiet plus it's very close to down town. The spot we got is a little cramped and not very well laid out but we've seen worse.

  • Duane Cress

Nice quiet short term or long term RV park within city limits of Charlotte North Carolina. Very clean well-kept park. Owners are very professional and nice. Can’t imagine living anywhere else in Charlotte.

  • Babs Tickner

I called to inquire about a reservation and was told briefly they won't have anything until after the first of the year, then I was abruptly hung up on! WOW. Guess we won't be calling them again. RUDE!!!!

  • Michael Law

Great place to stay over night or long term. Owners very friendly. Very quite especially in the back area. Only thing missing for and why only 4 star is laundry room. I will come back here every time.

  • Shawn Crist

Stayed here for 5 nights for the ACC Tournament. Perfect spot for accessing downtown Charlotte while staying in an RV. Staff was very helpful in navigating transportation options around Charlotte.

  • Steven M

Have been here several months while working on a construction job. Quiet, centrally located, close to all shopping and important destinations. Good neighbors and good people running the park.

  • moe schechtman

Great place if you need to be in the city of Charlotte for a concert and take a cab to the venue. It is in an older mobile home park. That being said, it's clean and safe.

  • Meagan McHowell

Wanted to do a monthly rental but they don’t allow kids, which is discrimination to families. That’s not right at all.they lost my business before they even got it.

  • Jason Cook

Great little place off the road and the staff and neighbors were very nice. I hated leaving but work has been else where. I would go back anytime. GREAT PEOPLE.

  • Joey West

It was run down bugs every where and it’s so tight you can’t even park would not recommend we stayed for 10 mins and left cause it was so. Rundown and horrible

  • Tasha Ball

Super sweet and friendly staff. The location is amazing to everything downtown. If I go back to Charlotte I will stay here again.

  • Michael Phillips

Still there for work, a little pricey for no amenities but not too bad. Cable is available through Spectrum, I'd stay there again

  • Debra Blosser

Lived there for three years. Friendly owners. Properties maintained by landscapers weekly. Lots of friendly neighbors.

Awesome park and close to everything! Quiet and safe and the staff are all wonderful. Dog loved it too!

  • Marian Hodge

Very quiet despite location in charlotte. The owners are very nice and the price is unbeatable!

  • Shirley Malone

Always stay here when we are in town. Convenient and quite. Friendly and helpful owners.

  • Timothy Shaw

It is a tucked away trailer park for low income residents. Not a place for vacationing.

  • Alan Cox

A nice no frills park, close to Walmart,Sam's, restaurants, shopping and auto repair.

  • Dennis Brown

Seems to be kept very well, and owners seem like real nice people easy to talk to
