Really lovely historic cemetery with a breathtakingly gorgeous little chapel that’s well over 100 years old. Happened to run into a couple of the gentleman who tend the cemetery and they were incredibly friendly and were kind enough to explain a little bit of the history of the grounds and chapel. Their website and instagram are also very well maintained, it seems like everyone involved has a lot of passion and love for this place and it truly shows.

Elmwood hasn't been respected for decades. 3 decades ago, I bid to mow the place but the endowment account wasn't keeping up with the times, so I pulled my bid. It's sad, because some of Kansas City's most noteworthy people have been buried there.

Absolutely beautiful and the grand monuments are amazing. Kudos to those who are working to maintain the property - it is a huge task. Miss the solitary, gentle deer that used to freely roam the grounds.

Very majestic and peaceful Cemetery with many beautiful old statues and monuments. Takes time to go through because there is so much to see. Gorgeous place.

This is the cemetery where Ella the deer was murdered.. Guess its not a great place for a deer to live after all..

Me and 6 other try are best to keep elm wood mowed and clean it takes 2 days to mow and 3 to weed eat

I have an aunt buried in that cemetery and a grandfather and grandmother buried there
