Seriously, the worst Embassy I've been to. Here's why : 1. Service only open on MONDAY AND THURSDAY, until 12.00PM. 2. Only accepting USD Cash, and they have to be extra perfect. No folding. 3. People have to wait outside in the pedestrian, no chairs provided. Imagine coming when it's rainy, or in the hottest day. 4. You're not allowed to bring your belongings inside, and no extra box/locker provided. You end up putting them all in the security office, before the entrance gate. 5. There's only ONE receptionist handling literally EVERYTHING. From the visa applications to pick-up service. This makes every single process to SLOW DOWN! 6. Email or Call will WILL NOT WORK! They won't reply your email, or even when you call, they'll put you on a 'Fake Hold' and drop the calls. Try calling back, they won't answer! The best thing they can do is to ASK YOU to come and check directly at the embassy, like everyone lives in Jakarta and have so much time to visit the Embassy for multiple times. 7. If you're applying for Tourist Visa, expecting it to be extra SLOW. It's been almost 3 months for me, and NO! NO update! My suggestion would be: 1. Come early, and do not expect it to be easy 2. Be extra patient with the process. As much as I love Egypt and have high expectations to explore the country, this overall process, has turned me down to make a comeback if the visa process is still as stupid as this one alone. So much of disappointment!

Dont travel to egypt . This empessy have no respect . You will west your money and time . Turky or japan or malaysia , dubai more better. And much more fun , 2 month for wait my passports and they not even care about time .. never happend like this before.. all empessy will respect and process fast only this empessy will not .. i dont know why people travel to this country . Do not west your money and dont go to egypt . Google about problems in egypt and you will know what i mean.. indonesian government should and mast process same way as they do .. no entery to indonesia for egypt people unless they process and get a visa to enter indonesia .. but now they enter indoneia without visa and we indonesian need visa to enter with this bad empessy. Dont go egypt and report to ministry of foreign authorities in indoneisa to stop Egyptian people to enter indonesia without visa. Dont go egypt . Make your reseach about this country and you will thank me later

Unbelievably rude. I thought it will be different the 2nd time I got through the call. The receptionist on the phone was exceptionally unfriendly. She was rather sound in a rush as if its not part of her job to provode me some insight. It cost nothing to be nice and be a little patient. Last time the receptionist hung up on me before I even get to ask my question. I hope that the staffs will better in person. Will update further Update: went there earlier 2021 multiple times, the security officer and the native are quite friendly. No parking lot, be sure to drive early to get some parking space. The lady up front are slightly better in person. Overall experience was chaotic. Business hour rather short (±2 hours, once a week) thus resulted in long line line, everytime I visited. Note to anyone who is first timer, be sure you have clean + fresh pressed dollar, unless you want to wait only to be told that you can't use a little wrinkled dollar.

Thank you consul & the friendly ambassadors of Egypt. You guys are very nice & have great hospitality! Better & much friendlier than the embassy of Egypt in Malaysia. I am very happy that they were very supportive of me & my Egyptian husband with the crazy amount of paperwork we had to do for the marriage. Their service was very fast as well, we are able to get the 'letter of no impediment to marriage' in 24 hours. Best to come here at 9:30am to avoid queues. Special thanks to the consul (Not sure of his name) & Mr. Mahmud. This place only opens Monday to Thursday from 9:30am to 11am I like their Egyptian-Indonesian deco inside. I attached visa information below as well, hopefully it would help other people who are in need of visa (like myself who struggles) to Egypt next time

Here is where I met Mr. Adel, a staff of the office. A warm charming guy from Alexandria. This place is more likely to be called a house of embassy. It doesn't have any parking place. There is only one security guard in the entrance. And what I mean by entrance is a small door. I came there for escorting my lecture Dr. Shaihk Husainiy for a meeting. As the normal embassy, they work for administration and consulting for Egyptian in Indonesia. Inside of the building I am so pleased to have some tastes of Egyptian decorations with statues, relics, and a collection of stamps from Egypt. The conditions sometimes can be a bit hectic inside due to the visitors who came with some difficulties to solve.

It's quite straightforward but be prepared to wait for about an hour no matter when you come. Even if you come before they open you'll still have to wait for them to open. Both trips so far have been about an hour. Inside there is quite a few mosquitos so don't wear dark clothes. Your USD bank notes must be pristine, not even folded. Don't bring a backpack because you'll have to leave it outside. There is a guard outside and a vestibule to put it but there is noone looking after them -- someone could just walk out with it.

Kecewa sekali sama pelayanannya, seperti dibuat tidak jelas terus. Hampir 3 bulan menunggu Visa. Dokumen sudah lengkap sekali, entah apalagi yg diminta nanti. Bener2 sedih, niat baik & urusan jadi tertunda semuanya gara2 Visa blm selesai padahal dokumen sudah lengkap & details. Selalu blg akan telp, tapi saya tunggu2 tidak ada kejelasan. Di email pun tidak ada jawaban. Benar2 bingung hrs complain kemana lg. Semoga ke depannya bisa lebih baik lg pelayanannya & tidak mempersulit seperti ini ya

Was trying to sort out a certificate of no impedement with my wife, they not only took 8 hours to do one document asking us to come the day after for a short job when my embassy took 15 minutes, they wouldn't accept our 'folded money' even though it was fine. What the heck Egypt! Work harder please instead of drinking tea all the time and needing everyone to see 1 visitor... Thankfully all is done and never have to deal with your no security 1 polisi on his phone embassy again.

Sangat susah dihubungi, telfon tersambung tapi sangat jarang mendapat jawaban panggilan. Kondisi saya tidak di jakarta, jadi susah untuk mendapatkan informasi. Ditambah lagi proses mengambil waktu dalam waktu 1 bulan, lalu bagaimana yang sedang terburu” untuk pergi ke mesir? Jika orang mesir bisa dapat visa on arrival ke Indonesia. Kenapa susah sekali untuk org Indonesia mendapat tourist visa kesana? Or at least give e visa. Please upgrade about the service. Tq

Datang jam 8 pagi, sudah ada beberapa orang yang menunggu di depan gerbang antre. Entah kenapa sampai jam 9:40 belum juga dibuka. Saran bagi yang ingin berurusan ke sini datang lebih awal. Update. Saya datang sore Senin (8/11) dari jam 15 sampai jam 16 belum dibuka. Banyak yang ngeluh urusan di sini. Dipintu tertulis, jam 15:00-16:00 untuk pengambalian, sampai jam 16:20 belum ada tanda2 akan dibuka pintu.

Yang mau ngurus VISA Entry, apa pun itu alasan nya ; karena Pelajar, Traveling, Training, dll, diharapkan datang pagi hari SEBELUM JAM 9 PAGI karena pengurusan dan pengambilan Visa hanya 1 jam, yaitu jam 09.00 - 10.00 PAGI SAJA.... Oh iya jangan lupa persiapakan Dollar ya, kalau pelajar 20 $ biayanya... Ga nerima rupiah, jangan sampe balik lagi gara2 ga ada dollar, persiapkan...

I dont understand why Indonesian need to go to this country, maybe they dont even need tourist to boost country's revenue. The prosess is too slow and manual, IDK whether the consular who make it slow or the visa officer up front. Anyway spare more than 1 month to make visa. Come to think of it, better make schengen visa than egypt visa. Not systematic at all

Waste of time and money, so slow to process anything and give fake promises. They don't respond to any calls and give wrong dates, I really regret visiting this embassy. But actually I met a good officer and he was so helpful and he told me he will leave soon so even the best employee will not be there.

So sad. Mostly the staff was good, but the approval process taking forever to wait. The approval still not come until the departure day. Don't go there except you're an egypt student or you gonna break your heart.

been waiting for my visa for 2 months and still no updates, embassy could not be contacted at all. super slow, irresponsible and irresponsive. the staffs here gives egypt a bad name. such a disgrace

Walaupun informasi lokasi pengajuan visa tidak jelas tanda pengarahnya, namun pelayanan staff sangat ramah. Dan sayangnya untuk pengajuan visa hanya dari jam 9-10 pagi. Jangan sampai terlambat ya!

Dengan hadirnya Kedutaan Besar Republik Arab Mesir di Jakarta Indonesia, urusan legalisasi dokumen (aplikasi visa, atestasi dokumen, informasi bisnis) dan lainnya menjadi sangat mudah.

kedutaan terburuk utk pelayanan visa. sudah menunggu 2 bulan lebih tidak ada info apa2, telepon dan email pun tidak ada yg merespons sama sekali. tiket pesawat hangus. shame on you!

Niat baik untuk mencari ilmu dipatahkan dengan proses yang lama. Bayar visa 62 dolar tapi lama. Jangan sampai kemuliaan Mesir tercoreng karena kedutaan ini yang lama.

No one can speak English and Bahasa Indonesia. Also, no social distancing for Covid-19 in there (People sit side by side with no distance at all).

Menunggu antrian dgn berdiri,kursi yg tersedia hanya 2 sedangkan yg mengajukan selalu ramai..untuk jadwal penerimaan juga hanya di hari Senin..

Good services, but only on Monday and Thursday. Especially for non Jakarta's resident to remember it, unless you'll need xtra time/day to stay.

Only open 9 to 10Am monday to friday. Bring US Dollar if you want to apply visa or you need to notarize document(legalisir)
