Excellent company. Highly recommend. Mike and his crew from Energy Kingston (EK) did an outstanding job on our home – new windows, small addition, beautiful wood siding, and energy upgrades. It was a big job and they delivered. All the neighbours complement our home renovation and the workmanship. When Mike came to quote the job, he was realistic re: time and cost. It was apparent from the start that Mike was extremely knowledgeable. We never felt like Mike was trying to sell us product or do work we did not need. In our conversations with Mike, he was respectful and explained everything. When it came time to do the job, Mike sent a very competent crew. The crew boss, Kevin, was extremely experienced and had high standards in his work. The crew was on the job for many months, and they were friendly, polite and respectful. Both Kevin and Mike made many excellent design and material suggestions along the way tailored to our taste and budget. We live in a Heritage Conservation District, so we had specific requirements re: design and materials. EK selected good subcontractors (design, masonry, roofing). We would recommend Energy Kingston (EK) to anyone seeking competence and professionalism and value in a contractor. We would be happy to speak to anyone who is interested about our experience. We would hire them again.

My overall experience with Energy Kingston Exteriors to install exterior insulation and siding was excellent. During his initial visit, Mike (the owner) was informative about best practices and materials, accurately assessed my requirements, and returned a timely, detailed, cost-effective quote. In the interim, while awaiting delivery of materials and availability of installers, Mike kept me apprised of where my project was in the queue, and Stephanie (the office manager) responded swiftly to billing and administrative inquiries, and accurately added important information to the job specifications when necessary. One week before starting the job, Kevin (the senior installer) arrived to look at the worksite, advised when he and his crew would arrive and what they planned to do. Once work began, Kevin and his junior installers Cameron and Gage were organized, methodical, efficient, friendly, and respectful. Kevin readily accommodated my daily presence on-site, kept me apprised of progress, and competently fielded every inquiry I had along the way. I appreciate the quality of work and materials applied to this upgrade, and would easily recommend Energy Kingston Exteriors.

I was thoroughly pleased with the work that Energy Kingston did on my home. John even came in on a Saturday to complete the siding, and then hid an internet cable within the trim, when I asked him if there was anything that could be done to hide it. Any questions I had, Kevin was more than happy to answer. My veranda posts look wonderful, and I was so happy with the extra trim, top and bottom, that really finished off the project. I have dealt with Energy Kingston for years from doors, windows, roofing, roof vents, metal flashing, and eavestroughs, and now posts and siding. I thoroughly recommend this company. Provides a quote and Mike was very nice till he got the job. We agreed despite their quote being one of the highest but after starting the work We got a call from his office (Supposedly his wife)stating that the wood was rotten and needs replaced. Mike was not available to talk and did not pick our many calls. The workers changed a few sheets and charged us a full fee of $5000.00 which was the maximum under fine prints. Could not hold off since we were worried of rains and bad weather. Please please please do a favor to yourself. Ask him to estimate for all probables although he had climbed our roof twice and checked everything from inside. Never mentioned of rotten wood once.

We have been a Kingston Energy customer for many years. We continue with the team because of their honest approach to business: we trust their estimates; we have always had professional and courteous installers and most of all we value their customer service. Our most recent experience was today where we had some damage to roof flashing from a windstorm. The Kingston Energy team responded to our call this morning and we had the repairs done today. Very satisfied with the new roof by Energy Kingston Exteriors. It's the second house I've had them replace the roof on and would recommend them to anyone. I actually recommended them to my elderly parents who are also very satisfied with their roof. They managed to squeeze in my roof as it was in quite bad shape. Quoted on a Thursday and had the team here on Monday morning, before 8 to start the job. They worked efficiently, finishing the job in a day, cleaning up as they went, as well as a final clean up and sweep with the magnet for any loose nails.

Our experience with Energy Kingston over a twenty-year period has earned our loyalty and appreciation. Mike and his team of professioanls have installed windows, doors, siding, insulation, tunnel lights, and exhaust fan and most recently converted unusable garage space into an integrated functional energy efficient shop. The workmanship has always been first class, in matching the existing house and in the use of energy efficient technologies and techniques. We are proud of showing the work to anyone looking for a contractor they can trust.

Sorry but they claim they don't install sun tunnels in the summer months. That is insane!! We had many friends who had sun tunnels installed in the summer and in Florida so the policy they claim sounds like they didn't like the rate that we agreed to through Aaben windows which was a fair price. Thank goodness we walked away as we now have a solatube INSTALLED! Nov 2022 - the owner responded with a lie so I removed another star - what I said in my review is the truth and it was the owner himself that said no summer install!

Had all my doors and windows replaced over a decade ago by Energy Kingston. The service was attentive, quality guaranteed and they still look great. When I needed a new roof this year, the best quote for a guaranteed quality installment was by them delivered promptly with the best service. I love my new roof and don't hesitate to recommend them.

Worst contractor in Kingston. Absolute con artist. This guy belongs in jail. I had him fix my window and he charged me $2000. I realized later that this job could have been completed for $400. I had to get the window resealed a month later because he didn’t do it properly. Whatever you do AVOID him at all costs.

We are highly satisfied (so far) with the quality of work done by Energy Kingston. Chris and his crew were extremely hard working and obviously dedicated to doing the best job possible. For this we remain most grateful. We also look forward to having a roof that will never leak. With thanks again to all.

We are very pleased with Energy Kingston's work on our house. Over the years they've done our roof, windows, doors, and soffit and fascia. The staff are very professional and pleasant. Our neighbors all love the work that's been done on the house.

I am throughly pleased with the repair roof service. Mike and Chris were very quick at assessing and explaining the problem and did a great job of the repair. I will be using Energy Kingston in the future for other servcies .

They stated they were very busy and could not give me an estimate for a couple weeks. I called them back after over 3 weeks. They informed me they made a mistake and missed it and it would take another 3 weeks to look at it.

Called to have estimate for siding and windows. The guy made every excuse in the book to not do the job. Will take our business somewhere else. Will never recommend.

Overall the quality of the job was good. They are experienced and completed the work as scheduled. Improvements can be made to post-job clean up and follow up.

Sent specs and drawings. Couldn't get a quote after more than 3 weeks. Hopefully future business is easier to handle.
