I visited the Kennedy location this morning to purchase a heater and the 36 x 20 rugs advertised in their flyer. I was able to pick up the heater but could not find the rug. At the front cash, I asked the cashier if they any of the rugs advertised and she said for me to ask someone in the store. I asked her if she could find someone to bring one of the items to me and if they did not have any I would like to order one. It took approximately 10 minutes for someone to bring up the item. When she rang it up it was at the wrong price ($29.99 rather than $22.99). Another person came up and corrected the product and about 5 minutes later the product was still scanning at $29.99. After another 5-10 minutes and calling back the same person that handled the first transaction she was able to ring it up at $22.99. By this time there was about four people in line even with a customer who left her items and walked out of the store. I paid for the items and said to the both of them "Are you guys going out of business" the cashier and other person with her said No. I then said your behaviour is like you are going out of business. When you read the Google review and reviews on Red Flag Deals you see the pattern. Don't think that you are above going out of business because Future Shop, Target, possibly Best Buy and many others have gone belly up. Walmart and Amazons rule the e-commerce market. Take care of your customers and remember you sell a lot of refurbished and people would be willing to purchase new for a little more and without the HASSLE.

Do not purchase any smart phones from this location. I purchased a cell phone Sony Xperia X performance for $199.00 I also purchased $60.00 of extra warrant total cost: $300.00. So I sat on my phone and dropped it cracked the LED and screen. So I went to the store and speak with the staff and asked if the phone can be fixed and I will pay for the costs and parts. The staff said not sure if we have parts to fix this phone. So I requested that he check and he said the phone will be sent to our head office. I decided not to drop it off then. I went home and researched parts for this phone on eBay. I found lots of parts on ebay. So I decided to bring the phone in for repair. The next day they called me and said we don't have parts for this phone and we can't fix it. They also prepared a list of repair shops for me to take the phone. I told him parts are available on eBay. I will pay for it. He said no I should come pick up the phone in a rude manner. I also asked him if he can speak with a manager he said no speak with head office. FACTORY DIRECT SELLS OLD PHONES AND WILL ENCOURAGE YOU TO BUY EXTRA WARRANTY BUT THEY REFUSE TO FIX OUT OF WARRANTY REPAIRS BECAUSE OF PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. THIS IS A LIE...I REGRET BUYING THIS PHONE. If it was a warrant issue they would find the parts...so SAD...I have no phone...lost $300.00 sucked up by a big corporation...

Please Do yourself a Huge favour and DO NOT BUY any TVs here as they are replaced panels from used tvs. I was kind of aware of this and I still bought the TV anyways because of the "extended" Warrantee which is a BIG scam if you ask me " Pay an extra 10% sir and if your tv model is out of date or breaks we will replace it same day" If only that was true... spent over 1300 $ and all they could tell me is bring back the TV and we will inspect it and send it off to repairs... but it will take some time to get you a new one... NO TV?!? in the meantime in my TV room?? are you guys nuts?? why did i pay for warrantee biggest waste of money. They will do anything to make you buy the warrantee STAY AWAY FROM BIG PRODUCTS HERE! smaller items like everyday use is fine I guess. CHange up the way you guys do business. Another thing thats the biggest CON is their Membership program thats hilarious. If you decide you want to return for whatever reason and you have this "membership" you cannot get your money back unless t's defective. Its a nice way of getting your email and do not trust them with anything especially with my personal information (email, phone number) for all we know they collect these types of information to sell to other companies... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! - TVs are much cheaper brand new now a days anyways.

This store and their merchandise has gone down hill. I purchased an air conditioner and it not only didn’t work the electrical was hanging out of the unit extremely dangerous. Upon returning it I was told they only offer store credit. I went on to purchase a different brand and model that I had to wait two weeks for. After installing the second unit it broke within a month and a half, stopped cooling and ruined my wall due to water leaking. When I went back to return the second one I was pretty much told I was lying, he plugged it in and said look it cools, regardless of the photo I have showing the damage to my wall. I said how about u keep it on over night and will see... obviously that didn’t fly. They then said I would have to warranty it. It’s the middle of summer and I’ve already installed two. I was treated like a liar, when who would really want to keep installing air conditioners. Eventually after close to an hour they agreed to give me a useless store credit as I obviously refuse to purchase another unit from them. With the credit I decided to purchase a RC wave rider unit for my nephews birthday. And of course he was super disappointed when it also doesn’t work. Moral of the story DONT BUY ANYTHING from this crooked unprofessional store. They no longer have any type of quality control.

Great low prices that easily compare and most likely beat a lot of retailers, and I found the staff both friendly and helpful when I needed assistance in choosing the right product for my needs. Make sure you check out the TV section! Bought a new 55" Roku TV last summer from Wallymart and I saw the same TV i bought at Factory Direct (actually it was the 65" version so it was the same Roku TV I bought just BIGGER!) for almost $100 cheaper! I was a little put out when i saw this, I won't lie, lol. At that time, I hadn't heard of this place or I would have came here to compare prices at the very least, lol. I only recently discovered Factory Direct after a good friend told me about it after my daughter broke my Sony headphones and I was searching around for a new pair that didn't cost a month's salary lol. Anyway, if you're shopping around and comparing prices for electronics l, an A/C for this summer, or just toys/games for the kids, make sure you check this place out before spending elsewhere...good chance you will find something cheaper here. They also have a weekly flyer that you can grab in-store which contains some great deals and promotions. Make sure you grab one from the checkout counter as you're leaving! Cheers!!

The customer service here is absolutely stellar. Purchased an LG OLED TV two days ago Tuesday and noticed a rather obtrusive cluster of dead pixels last night. Picked up a new one today, only to bring it home to unfortunately find similar issues with the new set. I called back an explained, they allowed me to bring on my laptop to output an image of my choice to make sure that yet another new set would actually be satisfactory. Long story short the new set looks great and while it still has a few dead pixels, I think it is under what LG considers an "acceptable" amount and they are all in unobtrusive places that are not overly noticable or offensive to the eye. I cannot stress enough how patient, accommodating, understanding, and friendly the staff was. If it weren't for them I'm sure I would be very upset right now. Because of this experience I may not buy another refurbished TV (from anywhere), but I will certainly be making a point to drive out to this location whenever I need something from Factory Direct!

We've been regular customers at this branch for years now but have never experienced such rudeness like we did the night before. We stood waiting for someone to come and help for over 25 mins. We used the monitor on their counter to search for the product we had seen online. Have done this numerous times as suggested by the staff before to find exactly what we were looking for. Finally this very loud male staff (heard him communicating with another customer) came over and rudely addressed us. He said he didn't have time for us and that we can wait and turned the monitor towards himself and said that this wasn't our home and that it wasn't personal property. We did say that we were searching for a product. Nope. He seemed very smug. (You have cameras to verify FD). We left and got what we wanted from Canada Computers not too far away with far more polite staff for sure. Please get your staff enrolled in Customer Service Ettiquettes Updates. I know we won't be coming back to this branch for sure.

Unethical people runs the place who would give u the worst possible customer experience. I had a refund given in a card against which wanted to make some purchase. I e's told that they have stopped taking the card due to change of IT system or whatever and to come back after a week. I went back and Every time I was asked to come back later. After a while I got adamant and demanded that they have to resolve it on that day anyhow as it's not my issue and I can't come back again. The store supervisor kept me waiting for hrs (perhaps thought I would get fed up and go away) and when I didn't, very reluctantly came in and punched way the keys in his the terminal and settled it. I and my wife had to fight with him very hard to get this done. I was fully convinced that he could have done it right away on the very first day. All this for only 40$ refund, imagine if they owed me more money. Indian management at its worst. Stay away from this place.

I just want to say thank you first. I broke my T.V. and desperately needed a new one for my room, I saw the excellent deal online for the 43" Roku, RCA 4k for $199.99 and placed an order on my credit card instantly. I found out immediately after that the T.V. was going to be shipped to me, I realized that I had screwed up and that I was specifically trying to avoid waiting. I quickly called my credit card company and explained the situation and asked them to cancel the payment and that I intended on just going into the store and was told that it was basically out of their hands. I contacted Factory Direct and explained the situation, I was transferred to someone in accounts receivable who helped cancel the payment and get my money back to me within 24 hours! I was then able to have another T.V. (same brand/deal) put aside for me. After all I was able to get my T.V. immediately. Thank you!

I am giving a one star rating until I get this resolved. Story time: I have a one year extended warranty on my I Phone 7 that I purchased from here for 600$. The phone charger block doesn't work so I have to use the block from my old but still using phone charger because this one doesn't want to work. This phone for what ever reason after calling Bell, apple help on the website everything it still doesn't ring or make calls at all. The speaker works but making calls itself is like pulling teeth on a old person with no teeth at all impossible. The phone calls won't go through but if I use my old phone its perfectly fine. Good waste of money until I get them to replace it. Best thing is there is no refunds at this place so choose wisely when you buy anything.

This is a great store for several reasons- it is always well stocked with a huge variety of items and if they don't have what you are coming for, they order it and call you once your item arrives. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, you can have it replaced or get store credit. But what other Factory Direct stores do not have is the staff here. ALL of them are not only very knowledgeable about the products they sell but extremely kind and helpful and it starts with their manager Ackila,I think, who gathered very good young people here and assured good supply and variety of goods. I keep coming and buying all my stuff from here for years and recommend it to everyone to at least visit it.

Factory Direct sells mostly refurbished electronics as well as some houseware items and furniture. If you get on their emailing list you can get some decent coupons on certain things. That said, buyer beware. While prices on most things will be tough to beat, remember that a lot of the electronics are refurbished. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, in fact it could be argued that some refurbished products go through more rigorous testing then brand new items. But there's just really no way to know. So when buying from Factory Direct, it's always a bit of a gamble. Had good experiences with buying memory and computer peripherals. Not so much with televisions and mobile phones. Good luck!

Great merchandise but horrible customer service and quality assurance. My husband and I bought a 55" RCA 4K TV for less than $500.00 during Christmas time which is such a steal but it is certified refurbished as most of their items are and they packaged the wrong TV legs. We realized when we got home to set up everything and when I called to inform the store they were clueless and anything but apologetic. They didn't offer a solution or a guarantee that they have the right TV legs for our TV. Shipping takes too long even when shipped to the store and overall as much as I am happy with the actual TV itself I will never ever shop here again.

You get what you pay for. I bought a very affordable refurbished iPhone from factorydirect.ca. Despite their website stating that their refurbished products work "the same as brand new ones", it is not the case. I contacted Factory Direct before the end of the 3-month guarantee period to tell them that my phone kept shutting down. They refused to refund me but accepted to fix the phone. They changed the battery. Now, the battery drains extremely fast. It's impossible to get through the day even with minimal use. The phone is also slow. This is my fifth iPhone and I never experienced those problems with my other iPhones before.

Lots of discounted refurbished items with limited warranties but many items I had an interest in were not marked with a price. Finally, I chose a half dozen items, went to the cash by the exit door. After waiting some 3-5 minutes, no one came to process my order. No bell to ring for service - and I didn't want to shout. The most important part of any business is to "GET THE MONEY" hello!!! I want to give you money and no one wants it. This is a big store - and yet it seems the penny hasn't dropped. So I dropped everything by the cash register and left. My money stayed in my pocket. Including the undropped penny!

This store is absolutely horrible. I purchase a tablet and within two months it shot out. I brought it back they will helpful enough to provide me with another tablet. Great right. Until I got home and charged the tablet. It still had a previous owners information and photos on the tablet (ILLEGAL) and it also is worse than the one I returned. Doesn't hold a wifi signal and won't even allow me to access Google Play Store. When I was handed the "new" tablet I was informed that my warranty was now invalid. They think so. This will be fixed or I will be contacting better business bureau.

Wasn't impressed with this particular store. They had the wrong prices listed on the shelf for the item I wanted. Sign said 7.99 when I got to the check out it was 19.99$ . The store clerk came back with me and said " Lady can't you read that's not for that item" . I told him that the price is in large print but the item is not. Besides where is the price for this item. It's not on this shelf at all. He then said I can't give it to you for that price and told me it would be 19.99. . I left the store without the item and a bad feeling for their store. No apology or anything!!!.

It all started with a laptop which I thought I got for a bargain. It didn't work and I went to return it only to receive store credit and not monetary refund. Since then I've bought many items from there. Items are a hit and miss. Some things like vacuum cleaner and humidifier work well. Some things like GPS have had to be returned. Service is okay. My only concern is that store credit is provided for 1 year only. That means if you return an item, they don't refund your money and instead give you store credit which needs to be spent within a year or you lose your money.

(2023 Update. Factory direct and Affirm stole my money lol. I got a notification from my bank that they went in and took my money. Didn't order anything. Had to go to the bank and change my card.) Wow. What a dump. The workers there are so rude. They put you on hold to avoid you so you can hang up. They always sound depressed. You pretty much answer your own questions and you feel they're ready to get off the phone with you. Wow. Extremely horrible service. If you guys can go to another location, I advise it. 0 srars but I was forced to give them one.

Great Location, Amazing prices, definitely the place to go if you need a refurbished tv, laptop, or cellphone, and while you are there walk around the store as they have so much more it's almost like an adventure. you can find everything from yoga mats to back braces, shapewear to air fryers, kid's toys to Bluetooth speakers always different stuff available every time I visit, a great place to shop can even purchase an extended warranty if need be definite must check out if your in the area. 10/10

This a liquidation store and I find it rather helpful.... I have gone there a few time and each time I was very pleased with the out come .... u can find almost anything in this store for a good price and they do have a return policy as well and u can pay for extra warranty on a electronic.... I have bought a blu-Ray player that lasted 3 years until I had to replace it just the other day and factory director was where I came to purchase another one for the same great price and the same great value

I had the pleasure of dealing with Deanna at this Factory Direct location and what a wonderful shopping experience. This employee couldn't have been more helpful, knowledgeable or pleasant. Now that I know that I'm not going to be stuck with a $1000 store credit, but am able to receive a refund for a defective big ticket item purchased at Factory Direct, I won't hesitate to do my future electronics shopping at Factory Direct, and the Scarborough location will be my first choice!

Been to every factory direct in Ontario and this is my second choice. Rarely do people ever write unbiased reviews on google+ so I'll take a shot. The store is small but packed with everything from high speed blenders to GPS devices and some clothing. The service is what you would expect from minimum wage employees, not ignorant but not overachieving either. Items catalogued online are usually accurate to what's in the store. Its definitely worth checking out.

They are very friendly and approachable from the day we walked-in to the store even up to the second day we came back to return a stuff we purchased. In most cases people ask so many questions in returning stuff, but when we told them we want to replace what we bought, they immediately assisted us and made sure we were taken cared of. Very cheap things. Had a problem with an air conditioner that was bought 3 weeks later. They wouldn't even look at me because the warranty was only good for 15 days. Ridiculous practise, how you possible know if something works right in that short of time. I would of been better to buy myself something else, would of enjoyed it more. So if you buy anything don't do a big investment, just in case. Also NO REFUNDS. Just credit note.

terrible service. bought a camera but gave me wrong charger. went on vacation but couldnt take any picture. went back to them to get the right charger but they said, they will call me to let me know if they can find the right charger and never called me back. went back to the store and they just gave me a store credit for the camera. TERRIBLE!!!!! customer service! Manager and employees need training on how to speak to customers. Why are you requiring my address when im picking up an order? Make it make sense! If I was delivering the order I'd understand, but if I'm picking it up, all that should be required is my confirmation email and ANY form of I.d, its ALREADY PAID FOR. So why make it an issue to give me my purchase.

They sell stolen phones. And broken items. They sold a phone to my sister that keeps getting locked out. And when we contacted Apple. They informed us this happens to phone that have been stolen. There should be no reason a phone has activation locks, especially if it’s not stolen. And your response shows us the level of professionalism you guys carry.

I wouldn't really recommend this place. At first, it really looks like a good bargain, but after a while, you'll realize you've wasted your money. You can buy the items of better quality somewhere else at either cheaper or same price. Sad thing is, if you want to return the product, for example, its defective, you'll only get store credit, not refund.

I purchased a Gravity Multicooker from Factory Direct Scarborough location. It cost $59 approx. It only worked for 3 months. The store refuses to return my money or exchange it. I read reviews and many have the same problem. They obvious sell junk. Dont waste your money! Buy from someone who actually cares about customers . Dont buy their junk!

I wouldn't name the person but the staff I dealt with today, rude is an understatement. The guy appeared so disengaged, like literally he 'hates' his customer facing job! If the management doesn't know who I am talking about or haven't noticed it themselves yet, they must soon identify. He certainly is costing you business. I wouldn't return!

Went here to buy a "new" cell phone. At least that's what the flyer said. Not new; certified refurbished. No manual, no SIM extraction tool, no charger.... Who certified it? The guy trying to dump it on me? Why use a SIM extraction tool when you can use a staple to extract the SIM tray. But hey, they did want to charge the same price.

Love this Factory Direct smile local Factory Direct great friendly people who are helpful it's usually pretty busy. They have a pretty big store so they got a nice selection of goods. I've been getting really good Bluetooth speakers from this place ever since I found out about it. Electronics is where it's at with this Factory Direct.

The employees don't know what they're selling. Went here for a refurbished desktop computer. I specifically asked that it have wireless capabilities. They sold me one that does not. So I'm out $200 and have a computer that I don't know what to do with. Be careful what you are buying from here as the employees have no clue.

I would not recommend any purchase from here. Your best solution is to go to Best Buy, Canada Computers, Staples depending on which one is closest. See in store if the item is there, then go online while in store for price match. Factory Direct doesn't adhere to good consumer practices. You take a huge risk shopping there.

Don't buy a big or small appliance or any computer accessory without checking here first. Air conditioners, TVs, cables, you name it, it's here and it's cheaper than anywhere. Store is clean and bright and if you're friendly to the staff you'll get the same treatment in return.

Terrible customer service and the guy who came out to deliver the goods was acting like he was doing me a favor. He didn’t realize that I actually paid for the items and wasn’t asking it for free. I would highly recommend that each employee go through a customer service training program on how to treat customers.

You can always find a few good buys in Factory Direct. It's one of those first stop places when looking for electronics, new and refurbished items. They also have a good selection of household items that worth checking out from air conditioners, fans, televisions, pet items, candy and little nick knacks...etc.

Not very much selection unless your looking for a big screen tv... Then half the store seems dedicated to them. The staff seemed to not know how to redeem their own store credit card We had from a prior purchase... Also did not seem to be available while I had to flag someone down to come meet us at the cash.

Love the customer service here. Staff at the store were friendly, helped me get the large product into my car. When I got home one of the wheels on the unit was broken. Reached out to online customer service and they sent me a replacement to my home in less than 24 hours. Referb. air conditioner works great.

Bad return policy. Only exchanges and store credit within 10 days which suggests a lack of confidence in the quality and longevity of the products that they sell. Prices are a bit more reasonable on some items than you would probably find in big box stores but the quality is more inferior at Factory Direct.

Do not buy any electronics from these stores. I bought one hair and beard grooming kits. Just after one single use, it stopped working. Factory direct has no return policy. Don't tempted by the less price. You will get garbage. Better buy from renowned store and good brand. The brand was wahl.

If I could give this review no stars I would. I would not recommend this store to anyone. Please save your money and time and go elsewhere. The manager is terrible, he is extremely disrespectful and was far from helpful. I will definitely be looking into contacting the better business bureau.

Bought a cell ph and a BT speaker. Very good products at very reasonable prices. The extended warranty offered is a good value for peace of mind on refurbished items. Re: A Personal Experience My sales representative was very patient :-). Professional and knowledgable . Highly recommended.

I would give the place about 4 stars, but giving 2 stars due to the rude customer service manager who thinks people are getting a deal so should not ask questions and just take whatever they are selling without a return policy. Prices are ok, but you can find better prices on Kijiji.

They sell second hand things at very costly price. Went to buy macbook but it was way more expensive then market value. They had mackbook air 2015 whose marked value is $390 but they are selling at $850 more than double. Moreover it was slow. I had very bad experience with them.

Bought a refurb TV here for a great deal. When i showed up to pick it up, the employees suggested i test it on site. They opened it up for me, plugged it in, we verified it looked good and then they packaged it back up AND helped me load it in my van, it was a great experience.

Of course their online inventory is much better. The staff are plain clothed and it is difficult to know who to ask for help. Some products are offered at regular price under the guise of a sale! It is much better to shop online as store inventory is minimal

They sell cheap rejected inventory that no other store would sell. Yes the prices are good but you get what you pay for. Staff is Not at all friendly. They treat you like a auto factory assembly where they spend only a few minutes before they disappear.
