Sigh, I don’t think I’ve posted a bad review before. However, when I left your store and went elsewhere, I realised that customer service is literally EVERYTHING in retail. I came to your store twice this morning, on both occasions, I had to stand there staring at staff while they finished their conversations. The first young girl was quite sweet and helpful. The second one, had such a poor attitude. I don’t know much about mattresses, hence why I was there. I had forgotten what the first sales person had told me so questioned what the difference between the two was to the second. The second one, proceeded to ask the first young girl “Did you show her the mattresses?”. I intervened and stated she had but I’d forgotten as I left the store and shopped around at surrounding stores and then returned. The sales lady’s tone and attitude during the short interaction made me feel totally dismissed and the way she asked her coworker, especially, the “did you show HER..” could have been communicated much more professionally and politely. Her body language made me feel as if I was a chore and she seemed totally miserable in her job. I wonder why your sales representative couldn’t respond to my question about the difference with “sure, let me show you” or “so this mattress has x and y and the other has a and b”. I appreciate that your staff members were busy, though, standing at the register looking at me like I’m the dumbest person to walk the earth. I had the full intention of purchasing 2 mattresses, a bed frame, tv unit and I also needed a couch. I said something along the lines of “I will skip on them, as your customer service is poor and I find you quite rude”. Your sales member did apologise and said at that point that she would have taken me to either mattress to explain the differences if I hadn’t been shown prior. Her attitude quickly changed again when I responded with my defence of “I’ve seen heaps of mattresses and I’ve forgotten, and the fact I stood there waiting for you to greet me and help me is an additional factor that has lost me as a customer” (or something like that, I was civil). The response I received from the sales lady was “okay, thank you” with eyes rolling. As I turned to leave, the sales person has proceeded to ask the manager within ear shot “do you think I was rude?”. Although I couldn’t see or hear the managers response, I feel that conversation could have taken place once I’d left the store. I did ask who was the manager at that point and was told by the same sales lady by a pointed finger “her”, referring to the lady standing beside her. Your manager didn’t even look up or try and resolve the conflict. She had less care about anything other than whatever she was doing on the computer. If that’s management, no wonder your staff are portraying a complete lack of interest in customers and I’m not surprised that your sales people made me feel as if I was a total waste of oxygen. Please see my other reviews, I have never posted a poor review. I am far from a drama Queen and I don’t let too much upset me usually. Today was horrid, and it sucks because I’m on a budget and returned to the store wanting to purchase furniture. I work hard for my money, and I can’t comprehend how I am expected to purchase products when one staff and then the manager (initial staff member, Asian girl, was lovely enough and the 2 stars are for you sister!) are so unwelcoming, abrupt, dismissive and generally rude. Maybe you had a bad morning, or are going through a hard time. I apologise if I added to that. Please don’t take it out on customers, we don’t deserve that. I know it’s hard to pretend to be cheerful, engaging, kind and helpful when you’re in a bad mood, but that’s all that customers care about. If you don’t like your job, find somewhere else to work, the world is your oyster. Sorry for the essay x

2 out of 2 purchased had issue, and the staff was unbelievablely rude. My first purchase was a desk which felt like it had been repackaged. I know minor scuff marks here and there are 'expected' so I let it slide.. Then I purchased a bed frame. As I was building it I noticed the headboard had a chip in the front top right corner. It was on the side that was visible and it was about a 20 cent coin in size. You could see the chipboard and the trimming had been deformed as if the bed frame had been incorrectly stored with all the weight on one corner. I was pretty upset about the bed, but it was already in place so I figured I would go down and ask for some store credit as I still had more furniture to purchase and didn't really mind giving Fantastic Furniture another chance. I went in with some photos and showed one of the staff. He agreed with me about how the bed was most likely stored incorrectly to cause such damage to the product. Unbelievablely he told me that I could easily fix it by going to Bunnings and buying some putty and black paint. I swear, the way he said it.. it was almost like he was insinuating that I was too lazy to do it and that I had just come in to complain. I told him that whether I could repair it myself or not wasn't the issue, the issue was that they sold me a damage product which he agreed had been mishandled. Never expected to hear something like that from a staff member. I explained to him that I had more furniture to buy (Tv stand, coffee table, rug and couch). I asked whether they could reimburse me atleast a 3rd of the cost ($250 bed, so $85). I felt it was fair considering it is the largest part of the bed and the damage is not in a discreet location. He refused and told me he can give me $50 or instead they would replace it, which would take up to 3 weeks. - I would have to wait 3 weeks. - They would have to source and pay for a new bed head. - They would have to pay their staff to disassemble my bed at my house and fit the new bed head. - I would have to waste my day on this problem. All so they could 'save' $35. What an absolute waste of everyone's time and resources. The cost of the new bed head and the wages of their staff that had to spend time delivering and installing the bed head would have easily set them back much more than $85. I declined, took the $50 and took the rest of my business elsewhere.

#Don't expect any good deal or discount even if you spend hand and arm$$$$$$!!. # don't expect good customer service as the stff are bit rude or (i don't care person). #be prepaid for an angry delivery boy if you just keep him wait for 5 mins or less!!!!!!. # if you bought some thing from the showroom as last sh**t piece make sure to tell them to take it away!!! Other way will stay in the showroom until the delivery day even if its weeeeeks later!!. ,,,,,,,,worst experience ever at this store From the begganing of the trade till the delivery day!. Went with my wife to buy nearly whole lots furniture but nothing flash and the price not really attract you to buy as they don't apply any good discount to convince ... any way ended up buying sofas ..coffee table,, dining tables and 6 chairs.2 mats and 2 extra chairs they were as last 2 piece display at the shop ,,, Honestly was hard time of dealing and nearly the stff wanna tell you to get f** out when i asked for discount .. Only thing its make this purchase happened cause my partner like the sofas and thats what she was looking for!!!!!!. 2 week later or bit more went back to the store to pay the rest of money!!, the 2 chairs that's i bought they were at same place not even move an inch !!!. I asked same guy (SALES MAN)why my second hand chairs still at showroom he said don't worry and he make call to some other planet in galaxy to take them off from shop(((seriously SALES MAN))). ,,,,and end of the lord of the king story is delivery guy who have to call me 1 hour before the delivery time as (SALES MAN) TOLD ME .. I GOT NO CALL.. And been staying at home half day waiting for call till 4.30 pm couldnt handle my tummy went to pb station wchs literally 3 mins away and i have call from the delivery boy i told him 5 mins .. when i arrived start yelling at me!!!!!!!!.. and asking me to start take boxes inside ...,oh make me laugh from out side but nearly volcano is rumbling inside my brain..... relax and count lto 10. (Just bad!!!sooo bad).

I called up during lock down and asking if they had that item in Stock. They said yes only 3 2 in the back 1 out the front. They said I can pick it up after lockdown. So I straight away ordered it online to pick it up when lockdown ends. When I finally was able to pick it up they only had 1 left which was on the floor which had scratch’s on it. So they sold the other 2 which one of them was mine ! I was not happy and I got told they were going to get me another one from the country stores and they said they would call me when it’s in. No call to tell me that they got it transferred from a local store. So I had to drive all the way to hoppers crossing to see if they could get me one. That store said that I had to cancel the other one to get this one. But then they said that they just transferred one to Thomastown this morning. Then what are the odds that store called me and said they have it in. I was not happy I had to travel yesterday to say I had to wait another week and I wasn’t happy I had to travel back and forward. I should of got it for free. They messed up hard. The next day no call to and tell me that they got it sent or transferred bad !

"If i could give no stars, i would" I purchased a desk from fantastic furniture Thomastown. Halfway within assembling the item it was found to have a incorrect hole for a bolt to be inserted and with a crack in the leggings of the desk. Store was contacted and they suggested to bring the item in "so it can be assessed" then determine what to do - Either wait another 1-3 weeks for a new desk or resize the hole which no time frame was given or suggested to have the floor stock - I decided on the 3rd option. When returning the item i was shown the floor stock desk by a rude staff member who was determined to cut me off while talking, stated rude comments such as " i'll look forward to seeing my name in the review" - sadly this was a incompetent staff member i had to deal with. With no further action taking place to rein-burst me for my wasted time and also floor stock that was damaged - i suggested to speak to the manger with the same outcome. I asked for my money back which will take a further "TWO WEEKS" to process. The "mangers" name was Ryan, who did not MANAGE the situation correctly. Would not shop here again - PLEASE AVOID.

The place is an absolute joke. I ordered a couch and two shelves online, have been waiting almost 11 weeks for my order, when I contacted about the items they explained that just the couch base was missing from the Melbourne depot and I would be contacted in a day or two to have it delivered, that it was safe to get rid of my old couch as our new one would arrive in the next few days and despite myself paying for delivery I could pick up the shelves (which I refused and said they need to be delivered with the couch) C when I made contact again in a few days (as I was not contacted) I was told that my items were ALL in Sydney and not Melbourne. I was then told that I would be contacted again, I wasn’t. So I called and within 3 hours of me demanding a partial refund my items all mysteriously arrived in Melbourne, I finally set up a day to have them delivered. The delivery was confirmed, only for the items to not turn up. When making contact I was told my delivery was cancelled and that the couch was not there according to the driver speaking with the representative. MY ORDER STILL HASN’T ARRIVED.

Very bad experience. I bought a sofa, and that was not assembled at the delivery. I have never seen that the sofa is delivered un-assembled. Secondly, when i called them, they said that they bought it from somewhere and is delivered as same. So why should you buy from Fantastic F, I should have bought from ebay with less price and they would have delivered me as same as Fantastic F delivered me. And the sales girl whom i spoke to - over the phone, she told me that she is going to send somebody to assemble it, but nobody came. I would never buy anything from Fantastic Furniture, and would recon you to please make sure not to give them more than $50 for ordering the furniture, they would never let you see it before it is delivered at your home and you can do nothing about it. I even when to the store, they didn't show me my sofa till they dump at my place. Please try to avoid them, very bad service and attitude once i partially paid when I ordered.

I agree with the other comments. Terrible customer service at Thomastown store. At least 10 small storage cabinets exactly the same on display. Asked if I could have one not in the box. I'll mention there was no assembly required. Told no you cant have one of those, they are our display stock. Ok, so can I buy one and leave the box here? Told ...no you cant. Asked why not? Answer...because then everyone will want to do it. Needless to say I left without purchasing. Shame on that lady who didnt care less. Perhaps you could have simply opened another box and put that one on display! Lost an 80.00 sale for the sake of taking a small box out to the skip bin. Plus the possible discount they will likely have to put on the floor stock later. I sincerely hope my message doesnt give everyone out there the idea to ask if you can leave a small empty box in store. Happy to shop elsewhere!

brought a couch, took 3 weeks to be made. after 3 months a 1 inch tear develops on the cushion, I return the cushion and was told a 3 week repair ??? my couch took 3 weeks to be made! that 3 weeks turned into 6 and was told could have be possibly 8 weeks. I spewed and the useless manager kept telling me she would ring me back and never did. I was the one who had ot keep on her. I got sick of it and rang head office and managed to be connected to the regional manager which he got things rolling and gave me affirmative answers and got my cushion back before the 8 week mark only because I think I put the pressure on the regional manager. If i knew all of this I would have taken it to the tailor in the mall just to stitch up the 1 inch. Would I go back to another fantastic furniture NEVER! ..is the manager of thomastown usless YES!!!

After a couple of years of not visiting this shop, i have changed my review from 5 to 1 star. Yesterday was a complete opposite of what I've experienced in the past in terms of customer service. There were 3 store assistants in the middle of the store at the counter all talking amongst themselves and did not even acknowledge me, even when I was walking within a couple of metres of them, they just kept talking. After about 15 minutes of looking around to see what I wanted, I went up to the guy there and asked for 3 different items, all of them were out of stock but still on display. I can understand 1 item being out of stock, but 3? Anyway, that'll be the last time I go there. Generally I'll give everything a second chance, but not if I don't even get welcomed or asked if I need help.

I recently visited this store - Thomastown twice to buy 2 x console and 1 x bedside and I must say I am very happy with the purchase. The staff is very friendly and soft spoken. They addressed to my needs and also advised me on few items which I wanted to buy. About the furniture items, I am very happy with the consoles and bedside. They were so easy to assemble and the quality of the furniture is great. The staff at the despatch dept is also very helpful and they ensure that the items are loaded very carefully. 5/5 stars to the customer service and yes will return to this store to buy more items during the boxing day sale.

I know it’s tough finding staff who want to work across all industries. But honestly at least find staff who LOOK like they are doing something. We went in. Ignored. And approached a desk where 3 sales people were just standing. In conversation. We wanted to look at options for a couch and we were met with “I don’t know, I’m not sure, let me check”. We stood around waiting whilst these 3 went back to chatting. Do yourself a favour. If you want to buy something from FF, go see Preston. They have been incredible at their willingness to help and their knowledge. Thomastown could definitely take note.

The in-store experience was okay. But the delivery team was terrible. Got a text to advise the day of delivery and the delivery window, the driver will call when he’s half an hour away. It’s way past the delivery window and driver never called so I ended up calling the customer service team and the staff there don’t seem to care as they already have your money. Been waiting around all day for the driver to call and not sure at this stage where the drivers at or if he’s still coming at all. If your gonna be running late at least call the customer to let them know what’s going on!

'I wish we could rate them with no star but no such option is provided' Probably the worse furniture shop in Melbourne when it comes to customer service. First they got the package completely wrong despite multiple confirmation over the phone. Had to pay extra to get the right package which took further 2 weeks to arrive. The communication around delivery was unclear and they are happy to argue with you over the technicalities all day along. Strongly advise people to avoid this store and shop else where because that's what we would be doing from here onwards.

Prices are very affordable but the customer service is very poor. Very slow service. We were in an empty store walking around for half an hour and no one offered to help. There were 3 assistants, two were occupied with looking into furniture boxes which I assume were for themselves as they were trying lightbulb’s in the mirror. Once we asked for help it felt as though we were inconveniencing the sales assistant. Spent 15 minutes at the counter waiting to make payment. Overall a very poor experience.

Very disappointed with the service. My items came faulty. Cleary the delivery men weren't careful when loading and unloading. Wasnt given a option for replacement. Cause the thought it was repairable photos prove that no chance that is repairable. Asked for a full refund yet they still took the delivery fee and i wasnt paid the full amount. Poor services and again disappointed with the outcome. I've left this matter to Ombudsman and Consumer Affairs. You can deal with them now.

BOXING DAY DEAL !!! I purchased a sofa set and coffee table as a deal on boxing day. I’ve been told by their manager that it’ll take nearly 4 weeks to deliver to you but that was their deceptive response. I had to wait nearly two months to get it delivered to my place and I had to call them every week to get an update. Not as smooth as I thought. Package came slightly damaged too. Definitely this is a modern day scam to keep people’s money and giving them vague information.

I went to shop with high expectations for daughter bedroom furniture and office desk and few other things. Worst mistake I did as store couldn't source it till 6 weeks after promised dates . Never called to tell that stock has arrived and after mulpitle calls, was told i can cancel and get the refund on the remaining items rudely over the phone. What a disgrace on the name of furniture store. Better go to preston store or shop around other decent stores.will never be back

I was waiting a month for my table to arrive, when I finally got it I went to set it up and had no tools or the pieces and no instructions. I called and spoke to someone who said they sent them out express postage and have been waiting 2 amd a half weeks. I numerous times only to be told that it is coming shortly. I had enough spoke to a woman called Raza and asked of she wpupd track it and have not wven been emailed about where it is. Terrible customer service.

We ordered 2 bedheads, told it was going to be ready in about 4-6 weeks, never got any phone calls, we called numerous times, ended up waiting about 3 months before we were told anything. Turns out the bedhead we ordered was discontinued, the day we ordered it. You'd think we would still get it? NO! They put our order in the day after we ordered, and didn't call us for 3 months to tell us it was discontinued. Thanks, give us our bedheads!!!

If I could give a zero I would, furniture coming tomorrow don't know when though AS I WAS NEVER INFORMED OF A DELIVERY WINDOW despite them saying they will call me back nothing, even the chat option got no response so I now can't take my kids to school because they could come in that time frame 7am to 6pm 11 hours waiting when there windows times are 3 hours what a bloody joke Fantastic furniture definitely has fantastic service

Terrible customer service!! If I could give a zero I would!! We came to the store yesterday to spend a lot of money. We wanted a sofa bed and potentially two dining tables. However the staff were too busy on their personal phones and sitting in the arm chairs to even acknowledge us. We were right by the service desk and not even a ‘hello’. Disgusting and poor service. We won’t be back and will happily spend our money elsewhere.

I bought a tivoli sofa 6 months back and in this time it's fabric started to peel and one seat is getting low, when contacted fantastic furniture thomastown with pictures they said it is not covered in warranty.Such a low grade furniture and warranty is just on book that's it.Will never recommend anyone to waste their hard earned money.utterly disappointing experience.never never,ever again.I wasted my money please you don't.

Nice showroom but customer service was non existent. Wanted to purchase 6 chairs which they confirmed they had in stock ready to go. I asked if I could I could see one of the boxes to work out if they would all fit in the car and was told no. Had to walk out as I didn’t want to purchase it and then realise it wouldn’t fit and probably have them give me a hard time refunding it on the spot based on their attitude.

Always a good experience to purchase from this place, never get any discounts though.. good luck with that. Furniture is always good quality, however floor stock is usually damaged in some way shape or form. In all the times ive been here i've never been approached by a staff member.. always had to search for help myself, but when i find a staff member i'm always happy and all my enquiries are answered.

This store will provide you with a comedy of errors, having paid for delivery - their system had it as not paid. Three delivery dates later I would finally get the couch through no error of my own - simply delivery staff not showing up at all. Staff are generally not helpful at all, always redirecting to live chat even though I bought the furniture from their store. Comedy of errors, incompetent staff.

Customer service was good initially but then when I confirmed to buy a work table and glass dining table which was on hot price, the main staff was too impolite. She said that they cannot guarantee that the glass would not break, plus they cannot say if it would reach on time. She wasn't sure about anything and it sounded like we were getting things for free. The preston office staff is good.

Ordered and paid for in full multiple items for delivery. Seemed fine at the time. Got told they can deliver on the day we wanted and that they would hold the stock for us etc etc. To find out a day before they were meant to be delivered they are discontinued and there is no stock. Are you kidding. Now we have no furniture and will never purchase here again. Don’t trust their delivery system.

I ordered a sofa in the store today, but the service person was very rude and indifferent. When I was shopping, the power source was vacuuming the floor with a vacuum cleaner, as if I was rushing to get off work. The customer service awareness was very poor. I just checked the information of my order, and found that the staff even wrote my name and address wrong, it's really bad.

This place is a joke 0 stars. Please don't buy anything from this company. It has been 4 months since they deliver the wrong product. They won't deliver right product at all and they won't give my money back. Apparently, they have this policy to hold the money till they pick up which they won't. Been so miserable because of their careless service.

Truly fantastic furniture shown in this store. I could not say anything better. I have seen products with good value, in this establishment, and I was not disappointed at all buying from here. Albeit, I would definitely be more pleased if they could display a higher variety of products to buy here, but the vibe was overall, good.

My wife an I bought a bed Friday and it was delivered Sunday but $85.00 delivery fee for three small boxes as the were not that large was a blatant rip off talk about making money not happy. Only thirteen kilometres and the truck had around thirty deliveries I know the delivery company is not a charity but geez that's good going.

in November I ordered a hutch desk and they said it will be delivered in 2-3 weeks it will be ready so somewhat in December but it is now January and I haven’t gotten it yet and whenever I call customer service they just say they don’t know when it will be ready, I was wondering if I can even get my money back at this point?

Mattress was nothing like what we sampled in store and despite being unused the store refused to refund the price. Refund policy is deceptive and did not take into account that the product we received was not the product we believed we were purchasing. Staff were rude and disintrested and we will NEVER shop here again.

Excellent service. Great range of furniture and homewares etc most of which are at very reasonable prices in my opinion. All products well displayed and the store is set up nicely with enough room to easily move about. Had exactly what I wanted and needed in stock which was packaged well. Ample parking available.

Good selection. Even though I was happy with my selection, I am now very unhappy with the service and information I have been given re my order. 4-6 weeks has turned into approx 11 weeks. Not good enough. My furniture is apparently ready but is not to be delivered for another week and a half. Fantastic!!! No.

I have always been customer of FF. Between all the stores that I have ever been, Thomastown, VIC store's customer service was the worst one I have ever experienced. Staff didn't really tried to help or explain about the products. Really disappointed. I am in doubt if I will be shopping from FF again. :(

Called the Thomo store at 4.30 in hope that they had bed slats I could purchase, spoke to a very helpful lady who took the broken one I had brought with me to the guys out the back. Within 5 minutes a guy walked out with about 10 of them and at no charge. You actually made my day guys, thank you

The picture of what I saw online is totally different from what was delivered. Looks dishonest. Product was sugar-coated online. Also paid over 50dollars delivery fee for 3km distance thinking I can't use my car to carry product because of what I saw online. Not recommended

Very Helpful staff, ended up getting 3 bedroom sets, living room and 10 seater dinning table. Had everything in stock except the table. Wait time little long but acceptable for us. Will definitely be back soon to grab a few more items.

There were only 2 customers in the store with 3 staffs. I stood there for 30mins waiting for someone to help me while looking at them to give hints. I don't know if they're "too busy" doing something else or just didn't seem to care.

The customer service was very poor!! The staff were very dismissive and weren't friendly. I usually go to fantastic furniture at northland homemaker and it's great there. Thought i'd try one closer to home but was very disappointed.

Service is minimal, just like the cheap furniture they sell. It’s like taking a budget airline - expect budget services. Staff is not least bit interested in engaging and explaining. The furniture is fine though.
