It's a very tough time for deliveries right now due to COVID, however, when I ordered 2 items from them, it was ordered on the 26th of May. For 1 item, i only just received it at the start of August. I'm still waiting on another item - which they have told me that they would deliver for free because of the lengthy delivery time. I was satisfied with that, however, I was really disappointed in their customer service. When I the called the first time to follow up on the larger item being delivered, I did not get a definite time frame for when the order was going to arrive. So I then sent an inquiry email through their website hoping for a different outcome - which worked better than calling in! Once i got an update of the delivery time and date, I was then advised that they had to do contactless delivery and due to COVID laws, I understood why they had to do contactless delivery, however, I was told by the phone operator that they could organise for a 3rd party to deliver it inside my house. The day then came for the furniture to be delivered and it was not delivered inside my house. I was instead left to push the furniture inside my house on my own. Damaging not only my entrance way but the furniture itself. I called back on that same day to complain and tell them that there was clearly some sort of miscommunication because I was told that it was going to be delivered inside my house. The only thing the operator could tell me that she was unsure what happened. I felt like my concern was overlooked, not just once but every time I called in. I would have been fine with contactless delivery as i would have been able to organize additional help on the delivery day but do not tell me something that you cannot honor. It's unclear on whether their delivery system is to blame or if its the lack of training that they provide for their customer service staff- but its probably both aspects. I would highly suggest they at least give their customers some sort of email updating customers of when they'll get their furniture/ how long it would take. Especially during this time - when everybody is aware of the current climate with COVID, at least reassure us that our purchases are being dealt with. I was left with a terrible customer service experience and it is such a shame because the furniture itself is of good quality but the phone staff (probably in their head office) are just very difficult to communicate with. When I went into the Nunawading branch, the Manager and staff actually cared but I don't understand why Fantastic Furniture would have a separate team handling the calls when the call should just be diverted to the location of where you ordered your furniture from in the first place.

How dare you want to spend money in this store!!!!! Walked into the store and had absolutely 0 customer service. After sitting for 30 minutes, we got approached with such bland help. We phoned another store to assist and answer our questions over the phone. After a shocking experience, we paid for a table and chairs and left. Once we got to the warehouse, we were laughed at and 2 customers around us had to measure our car and the table to help us fit it in. The snarky worker said 'are we looking at the same table' - I had to ask him to cut the sass and just put the table in the car area so we can try fit it. With the table not working, we were laughed at and not offered any help. We went back around and inside the store to refund and replace as we understand it wasn't meant to be. Back in store, we were refunded the incorrect amount which we found out once we were in the back warehouse for the second time. As the delivery guy was opening the door, he had to hold back his laugh that we were at the door. Unsure what's funny about picking up products that we have purchased? Going around AGAIN to the shop, we were refunded for the second time, the correct amount. After 3 store visits, 2 refunds, 2 warehouse visits, useless help, snarky comments and being laughed at, we have chairs and a table.

Bought a 6 seater table for click and collect that said in stock and ready in 60 minutes. After 6 days, no contact from the store so I emailed them about the order. No response. Rang Nunawading store 5 times and no one picked up the phone (18/02). The day after (19/02) went to the store and was told it was not in stock, and there were 7 people waiting on the same product. Absolutely no communication prior to that. I understand when something is not in stock, but why should I chase that up in person? And why take my money online saying it is in stock? No compensation was given. How about delivering it from your Moorabbin store where it is in stock? If this review deters even one person from the store, it will be worth it. What’s the opposite of ‘fantastic’? Update 1/3/21: Nick and his ‘review’ team requested more info a week ago, and foolishly I played along. A week later and nothing has changed, just me wasting more time explaining the situation over email. It appears it was a token response for all the review readers without any resolution or substance. Maybe another week will finally bring an end to the mystery of what went wrong with my order? Perhaps a stronger magnifying glass is needed?

I have recently bought from Fantastic Furniture a Havana dining table, Skylar double bed, Haymen dresser and bedside drawer. Unfortunately, we had problems with three out of these four items. The dining table and double bed has missing parts that we had to come back to the store to take, one of the slats of the bed went broken after about one month of use, and one knob of bedside drawer doesn't seem to fit very well (see attached, we didn't bother to contact Fantastic furniture but dealt with it using some cardboard :P). BUT, and this is a big but, all these problems were compensated by the wonderful consumer services we received. Both the online shopping and store staff helped us warmly and efficiently, the missing and replacement parts were ready for us to pick up at lightning speed. Also, sometimes there are display items on sale at very good price at the store, which also save you the trouble of assembling them, so it is not a bad idea to visit the store anyway. If you plan to load the furniture in your car, the loading area (as well as plenty of parking spaces) are accessible from Moncrief Road.

The staff at Fantastic furniture were super helpful and were able to answer any questions I had. The biggest let down was wait time on pick up. I do understand in the climate of Covid-19 that items take time to be processed however when I purchased my 1 item in July I was told 2-4 weeks. It then came to week 5 and I called regarding my item. I was told it will be another 2-3 weeks due to delays. I think okay, I understand delays. It then reaches week 8 and I call to ask for an update and get told by staff they have no idea when my item would be ready. This was made worse that when I ordered I was told that this item had plenty of stock in the warehouse. Overall this was a less than good experience, I would shop here again only because the staff I dealt with were great. The main issue was that there was no timeline at all. I am now able to collect my item however I believe the behind the scenes process needs to be a alot better

Very unhelpful staff member, his name was Nameet T. We went over and asked for help with the mirrors and he couldn't of looked less impressed to be helping us. We were greeted with a flat "What do you want" and he looked almost offended when I asked to bring one of the mirrors down so I could have a look. I was trying to make a decision between two different types and the whole time he stood there looking like I was wasting his time and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I now don't feel happy with my decision as I felt rushed and pushed into buying this mirror. This was a really unpleasant experience and I warn anyone to think twice before going to this Fantastic Furniture location. I hope this is seen so Nameet can be taught not only good customer service but just being a decent human being.

Went there because a page on their blog featured a perfect design-it-yourself wardrobe. The first staff member I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about and argued with me about it being on the website. He fetched the manager who said that wardrobe was discontinued. She was excellent but it all took a very long time. In the end I went to Ikea and got what I needed there. I suggested that Freedom keep their website up-to-date but was met with "it's the blog". A marketing blog on your own website. Take it down or plaster it with No Longer Available. There was one wardrobe of the type I wanted on the floor. It was partly dismantled as it was going to someone who'd bought the floor stock. The manager said the line had been very popular. Seems odd to discontinue something so successful

I had bought furniture from a fantastic store and paid them to have it delivered. However, the delivery guys badly damaged my home, they tried forcing the lounge through the doorway and ripped the door off the hinges causing permanent damage, I have been left with no door as the door has been ripped from its hinges and an open home, I rang the store and they said there’s nothing the store can do for me , but didn’t offer to come out and fix it and they didn’t offer to organise someone to fix the damage done by the delivery guys. This purchase from the store has been an absolute nightmare..it has been a month since the damage and fantastic refuse to give any assistance or help , I ended paying myself to get the door repaired.. huge disappointment..

I never bother with reviews but wow... From start to finish truly terrible service. The sales person didn't include all items on my invoice, somehow it took an hour for them to fix it and have my goods brought out. Then the warehouse staff just dumped the three boxes at their back door and decided to watch me struggle to put them in my car while they carried on with a personal conversation. Each box was two metes long and was approx 30kgs, so not the easiest shape to get into a sedan on your own There is so many furnitures in Nunawading, I should have gone elsewhere Edit: Changed to 1 star After getting home and unboxing, I have found that the screws and bolts to put everything together are missing!! Total waste of time

Have ordered a couch 3 - 4 months ago with a 8 week ETA. Every time a call for and update another 3 - 4 weeks is added. Called up about 5 weeks now for an update, they said it’s in transit and will be at your door in a week. Called up the next week and they said it’s actually 2 - 4 weeks away. I have now called again and it’s another 3 - 4 weeks away. This is very poor service and not sure why they say 8 - 10 weeks when they can’t honour that. Even in store no help was offered we weren’t even acknowledged to be in the store had to go up to someone to get some help. Will patiently wait for said couch but will sadly not be shopping here again. If I could 0 star this I would.

Ordered chairs 9 weeks ago, website advised delivery would take 4-6 weeks prior to payment. After 8 weeks, chairs arrived damaged. Asked for replacement and store manager, Nameet, confirmed over the phone it would take 2 weeks. A week later I get a phone call from the store asking if I wanted a replacement or refund and asked if the chairs had been returned (they were picked up the week prior)... She then said it was going to take 8-10 weeks so I've requested a refund. If I could give this store a rating of 0 I would. This was the second order I had issues with from this store. Really awful service, staff are dishonest and are clueless.

We were only looking around with intent to purchase in the future. Despite there being no sale to be had, the gentleman ensured to spend time with us and give plenty of info on the sofa we had our eye on. He also went to the trouble to print out a comprehensive information sheet so we could go home and measure up the intended space for the sofa. The sheet also had the measurements for the boxes the couch will come in to ensure we prepared to transport it without issue. Excellent customer service. "James H" is the name on the suspended sale receipt, so please pass on our thanks. We will be back when we're ready to purchase.

Store person said that we can choose a delivery date and time and when my product came after 6 weeks they said they will only deliver at 6am to 8am,even though I mentioned that I live 67kms away from my new home and I won't be able to reach such an early time, they refused to accommodate and give a sane delivery time. Their website shows delivery policy as we can choose a delivery date and time but when it comes to fulfilling that promise Fantastic furniture does not honour it.misleading and false information provided to customers on their website. Will never buy anything from them. Very unprofessional

Absolutely disgusted with the service Coles advertising give mix one price on the Internet another price install rude I don’t recommend the store at all when we walked into the store and paste them they started smoking and talking and get it on the phone pretending that they are busy they didn’t know what to do Helen and James was so rude they made us come all the way down50 minute drive we spoke to him over the phone confirmed it once we got there they refused to get us install if I can give a zero star awards

A friend and I went to buy A few items for her new retirement unit. She was very happy with the selection she made. The delivery is well organised. And always the bonus when you get a lovely polite young sales person who's happy to talk to 2 old women waffling about 'will it fit issues". All was organised and the service was excellent. I don't know the man's name who helped us but but his dog's named Rocho and Rocho is 13 yrs and he takes Rocho for a walk each morning Rocho has a good Dad

Was told they will only deliver to my front door and not assist to bring the furniture inside my home. so hired a furniture removalist to help me move the furniture inside.. only to find out AFTER it had been delivered to my door step that it had been double booked and they had booked an external courier through fantastic furniture for the things to be bought inside my home. Really poor communication and disorganised when trying to sort delivery. considering you pay an extra delivery fee..

I was at Amart Furniture. All their staffs were friendly and kept asking if they could help. But when we came to Fantastic Furniture, we were treated so badly. When we were asking which counter we could make payment, this was the reply "Do you see anywhere else to pay?". Extremely rude counter staff. I hope the owner or manager can see this review and understand how this will affect reputation of Fantastic Furniture. Obviously I know where to go for furniture shopping in the future.

Called to book furniture delivered to my house. Friendly staff to organise parts at other place being collected to the same location before delivery. Got text to select a delivery date from three options. Very nice one. Before the delivery date, got text to inform a time frame of the delivery. On the delivery date, the delivery men texted me before coming to the site. Furniture put to the room I wanted. Signed the form. That’s it. Very friendly staff in store and delivery team.

0 stars would be appropriate. They can't / haven't supplied the products ordered Jan 2022. I've been waiting 15 weeks for 3 items. They can't provide a timeframe when they will be available. They won't deliver the part of the order that is available. They can't say how long the delivery will be when they are in stock. They say they don't have control over the warehouse/ supplier. They can't do a refund over the phone. They won't ring you or keep you informed.

Purchased an arm chair for $400 plus $80 delivery. Arm chair arrives and is faulty. Chair collected and repaired (if I wanted it replaced would've been a 4-6wk wait) then asked if I can come collect arm chair from store once repaired? !!? Here's an idea, how about you fix my chair and refund my $80 delivery for the inconvenience and delay!!!?? Will not shop here again and glad we didn't get our sofa from here and waste any more money with these idiots!

worst shopping experience ever, store staff were helpful but when come to delivery, they only do one point drop off, meaning they will leave everything in the front of your property and leave you with a big mess. I only find this out at the delivery, the driver were very rude and come in with their mud shoes leave marks on carpet and floor. paid over 10k worth of item and their customer service were shocking! never shop there again.

Fantastic lil store and prices Popped in for just a mattress for a spare bed so didn't want anything too pricey, was talked through the best options for my needs. The store has a good relaxed atmosphere where you don't feel the staff are jumping on you to make a sale but they are around when you need them. Loading bay was alil chaos, would be better if people actually knew how to park & be more considerate of others.

Reasonable prices, only complaint, could not pay over the phone, not their policy. My daughter ordered a bed and wanted to pay whilst making the phone order. I was picking up the item later that day and had to use my cr cd to pay. It would have been easier if the store allowed my daughter to pay and I simply picked up the item. Otherwise quality of goods and prices were reasonable, if not good.

I ordered a dining set and was informed the table itself had a week wait.. 2 months later I still only had the chairs. I had to chase them up on this the whole time as they never called when they said they would. Then because I’m stuck with this theme i wanted to order matching book shelves put the order in they emailed me the wrong order. Don’t recommend, don’t get trapped like I feel.

Excellent service. I get attended to almost immediately. I had some problems assembling the furniture a few days later and the staff there helped me with it. Furniture looks nice and is not expensive. Delivery service available. Assembly service is available through two external vendors they outsource. They also offer assembling service but you need to get your own delivery service.

I had a horrible experience & won’t be back. Our desk had a missing piece and it happened to be the last one in stock. When I called, it was suggested to me that I go to bunnings and buy a piece of wood and then drill the holes to replicate the missing piece. They did eventually replace the desk but the fact that the woman on the phone suggested that is mind blowing.

Friendly staff, but when I ordered a couch online to pick up 6 days later, I was told upon arrival that they didn't have any in stock. Why didn't someone check to see if the couch was in stock BEFORE I came to collect it? Pretty disappointed. *STILL waiting on a refund. It's been well over a week now. I never received my couch and they still have my money..

Never coming back here for anything. I waited 2 months for a wardrobe. I called and asked when it was coming and they said it would be in by next week. It wasn't in the next week... I waited another 2 weeks for it and as they told me it's ready they said I had to wait the following week for it to be delivered. Absolute utter bullshit - I'm not impressed

Just wanted to leave a review, specifically to mention James and the excellent customer service he offered. He was knowledgeable, friendly, understanding and most importantly the perfect middle ground between completely passive & overly pushy. Unfortunately, the couch we liked was sold while we were there, but we were grateful for his help nonetheless.

Had an awesome shopping experience here today, all thanks to James, who went out of his way to help me find replacement parts for my sons bunk bed which I'd lost whilst moving house. He was incredibly friendly, polite and professional which is the reason for me having such at positive experience. Thanks James! Your the man. 10/10 for awesomeness :)

Delivery service is awful and really annoying. We bought a dinning table, coffee table and sofa from them and they said they will be delivered one week later, but now after 3 weeks and 3 times delivery we still haven’t received all items. Every time they miss one thing(we got table without legs ). I’ll never buy anything from them.

Came in and said I had a click and collect, provided the order number and the staff member was extremely rude. She said “that means nothing”, just terrible customer service. Also I got an email at 12.44 saying my item was ready to collect, I come in store and nothing was ready either. The items are fine just the service was terrible.

Really impressed with the outstanding service and fast delivery. I ordered online and received a phone call the following day to book in for my delivery time. Which was fantastic too btw. They gave me a two hour window and rang to confirm the following morning. Our product was amazing and very good quality. Thanks fantastic team:)

Would give zero stars if possible. Ordered book shelf with 1 week delivery time. 3 months and numerous phone calls later, I decided to go to shop and get money back. No explanation why I didn't get it yet, no decent apology, no anything. Here is your money back and see ya. Will never buy from this shop again

Went in to see a display cabinet. They didn't have the one I was after. When I queried dimensions of shelves they agreed you couldn't have shelves bigger than the cabinet and when I asked if they could ring someone to clarify told no and told I could see one at the dandenong store that was on display.

Tallboy was missing a piece, was told a replacement would be delivered to me. A week later no one's been in contact and upon contacting them I couldn't get a clear answer as to when it would arrive. I ended up organising a replacement myself with another store. Wouldn't bother with them again.

We've shopped at Fantastic Furniture for many years, and always found suitable items required for our needs. We were looking for a small cabinet for a stereo system, and unfortunately there wasn't a suitable size in the very good range on the floor. ( Previous satisfied customer. )

In store 10-15mins and not served. A few customers in the shop but not busy. Some products my partner was interested in. After closer inspection of the drawers, dining table and chairs poor quality. One salesperson just walked straight past us, extremely strong cigarette smell.

I wish I could rate 0, we ordered dinning chairs on 7th of june, the ETA on 7th of june was 8-10 week, but even after 5.5 months I am still waiting for chairs, l am continuously calling their store and they keep on chaging dates for delivery. Worst experience ever.

Good selection and staff was very helpful. Prices are good as well as the quality of the furniture. Bought multiple items and always instructions vere included and easy to read also the bolts grouped in bags and labeled. I rate Fantastic Furniture better than IKEA.

Very poor service. We visited on a Saturday, there were a lot of customers but only 3 staff members. Had to wait more than 15 min just to talk to a staff member but still she said she is busy. We left the store and bought our furniture from another store.

We recently bought $1700 worth of furnitures. And as expected we have a lot of big boxes to dispose but would be nice if they can help you dispose some of the boxes. Staff are only helpful during point of sale. After sale, terrible! Will not buy again.

Decent range and helpful staff. We came to purchase/pickup a storage unit that we saw online. Seeing a display model in the store was easy. Organising to pick one up from the loading bay was easy. The staff are knowledgeable about their products.

The recliner chair I had delivered was the wrong colour. The drawers I bought were delivered as 3 flat packs. I had to assemble them myself. There was no mention of this on the website. It took me 4 hours per pack to assemble Not happy Jan! …

The store has some nice things for good prices too. The recliners are very comfortable, and the tv units are good too. Our glass dining table is ok, the chairs that came with it were horrible, very unsteady and 2 have already broken the legs.

Usual furniture shop, nothing fancy. We struggled to get attention of the staff (we couldn't find any) but once I got their attention, staff were lovely and very helpful. Product wise, I got what i paid for, so happy with it.

Purchased 6 chairs $100 ea and one of them was faulty I been waiting nearly a month and they still have not swapped it - they keep saying they investigating Very disappointed

If the product is not available shouldn't be on display. Customer rep team should have known it. There should be only one delivery charge not sub delivery charges.

Great furniture shop for mid range priced items. Stock at the moment is limited with long wait up to 18 weeks on some goods, chairs in particular.
