My husband is really in need for new diabetes shoes. He got diabetes shoes before when the Podiatrist came to the house. Since COVID started no Podiatrist could come to the house. I took him to see Dr. Bradly Herbst at Podiatrist Association of Florida. With the prescription I drove him to this place call Feet First Shoes, far from home on Phillips Highway. Appointment was on January 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM and I had not heard anything from Feet First Shoes since. In April I called to find out and Feet First Shoes said: We sent 3 pages to Mayo Clinic but only received 1 page back. I said: Why didn’t you tell me about this? Right away I called Mayo Clinic and a lady told me that she only received 1 page. I called both places back and forth tried to get things done. My husband got a message from his doctor on the patient portal stating that he signed the papers already. He is so nice. Today April 12, 2022 my husband had an appointment with his Dr. and he told us to call the shoes place if they received all the paperwork. I called Feet First Shoes and left a message. Got a call back and the man said your husband cannot get diabetes shoes because he wasn’t treated for diabetes and he only saw Steven Perez who’s only a nurse practitioner from endocrinology department. I told him that my husband had diabetes for over 40 years and he has been seeing by diabetes doctors and nurse practitioners too over the years. A few months ago he even got Dexcom G6. So now my husband cannot get his diabetes shoes from Medicare that he is entitled to. What a waste of time and energy for all these months. Not everyone is healthy and has so much time to waste and add to that so much aggravation in dealing with this situation. This could be very simple if everyone is doing his or her job right from the start. I would never recommend Feet First Shoes to anyone!

I just left this store. The lady here, I didn't catch her name, was awesome! I walked in, explained to her the problems I have with my feet, and what I was looking for. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so it is in all my joints including my ankles, knees, and hips that greatly affect how I walk. It forces me to walk on the sides of my feet, rolling my ankles. She knew right away what shoes I needed and explained why my feet were forcing me to walk the way I was. She even discussed other options like custom inserts. She also found me a pair that was velcro because of the RA it is hard to tie my shoes in the morning (RA is worse in the morning due to not moving when sleeping, causing major stiffness that takes hours to slightly ease up). As soon as she took my measurements and put the first pair on I felt a major difference in quality. For the first time in months my feet felt "Happy"! I will say the price did scare me a little bit, as i usually buy the cheap tennis shoes at Walmart (because I am cheap, which with my condition I shouldn't have been doing that in the first place). I should have gone to this store when I was first diagnosed! But when every step is painful going to this store and finding shoes that give you relief it is worth it no question. I will definitely be back if I need another pair or if I want to do custom inserts like she suggested!

Wade and staff are fabulous. He took care of my father-in-laws footware for years before he passed away. My sister-in-law use to drive from South Carolina for shoes that were comfortable for her. My husband has purchased many pairs of inserts and won't get them anywhere else. I work for an acupuncturist and we have a client with a lot of hip pain because one leg is shorter than the other. After several visits to a chiropractor he purchased inserts which did not help. I suggested he go talk to Wade at Feet First. BOY WAS HE GLAD HE DID. Wade showed him a pair of shoes he said we're very comfortable. And he made a lift for his short leg for his shoe. Not only did he get new shoes, he bought a lift for his new shoes, one for the shoes he wears daily and one for his slippers he wears in the evening. Bye bye hip pain. I also purchase shoes from Feet First I swear were made just for my feet. I never have to "break in" new shoes. They are comfortable from the first time I put them on. If you are on your feet all day, you want your feet happy. If you're feet aren't happy you are not happy is what my mothef-in-law use to say. I highly recommend Feet First for anyone needing quality shoes, inserts of lifts for comfortable footware.

One of the best things I ever did for my body! Just turned 50, spent most of my professional life on my feet as a restaurant and hospitality professional and for the last decade in the carpentry and construction field. I walked in this store today with the intention of purchasing a good pair of shoes or a insert to help with my fallen arches. I spoke briefly with a woman and she directed me to a man who had just walked into the room. He asked me , "How can I help you?". I began my reply with, "My feet hurt so bad", which was only my intro. He quipped as he clasped his hands together, "go to a doctor." I said "Thank you." , turned quickly, and ran out the door. What a JERK. The place was absolutely empty. Now, I know why. Don't waste your time or money on rude, lazy people. Thanks for nothing, literally.

Been with Wade for 12 years. He is a very nice man, very patient and great at his work. In fact, this last year I had some troubles with my feet and the orthotics "not being comfortable". He would not give up on me and kept trying things to make me more comfortable. I found out a few weeks ago that I had developed a neuroma and that was why I had the problems I had. In fact the foot doctor looked at my orthotics Wade made for me and said they were perfect! In fact, she knew Wade and recommended him highly! When I need another pair of orthotics, I will be vising him again!

I wanted to purchase diabetic shoes from this store as they seem to have a broader selection than what is available from my podiatrist. In order to be reimbursed by Medicare there is a form which has to be completed by an endocrinologist. I advised the owner Wade to simply fax the form to my endocrinologist's office and they would complete the form. He was very uncooperative and told me that he would be unable to help me. I was extremely put off by his attitude and will order the shoes from my podiatrist instead.

I have been a customer of Feet First Shoes for over 15 years. I can't begin to tell you how many shoes and sneakers I have purchased over the years. I have experienced excellent service from Wade and the staff. They go above and beyond in trying to find shoes that will fit my 6x wide feet. I now have swelling in both feet and am wearing compression wraps to boot. Wide isn't the word for the size of my feet. Wade was able to get shoes that fit and I am so appreciative to be able to wear shoes again.

My podiatrist recommended that I visit this store… after meeting with the staff, I can see why his other patients have been impressed…I met with Wade, who is such a professional…he recommended a shoe that would help with my problems…and than made some custom inserts to make that shoe all the more effective… I also interacted with Andrew…who also is impressive…both specialists…as well as the other staff members…Cheryl and Paige…are client-centered, friendly, and knowledgeable….

I needed some custom insoles. I did not know what to expect when I booked my initial appointment. I thought I was going to go in and get some dreadful looking shoes, and it is what it is type of thing. However, I was pleasantly suprised! The shoes are stylish, the staff is the definition of awesome, my feet feel great, what more could you want?! They have a really nice selection of shoes, the insoles feel wonderful, I will not hesitate to return when I am ready for more!

They certainly did not put their best foot forward… The lady working there is very pretentious. Apparently it’s by appointment only, which is not stated anywhere on their website. We didn’t need to be fitted or need any special attention. We already knew what we wanted and just needed for someone to get us the correct size and we would have made a purchase and been on our way.

Feet First Shoes are awesome the staff are Great. I am a African American Disabled Veterans I been getting my shoes for about 4 years. I had bones surgery over 35 years ago in Germany on both feet. It has been hard when it comes to shoes. It's time for new shoes i can't wait to see everyone. I live in Gville now and the staff has helped me beyond measure.

I have been a customer of Wade's for going on 5 years. My experience with them gets better every year. My doctor referred me to get custom orthotics to relieve foot, ankle, hip and back pain. What a difference a knowledgeable person like Wade can make. Feet First treats me like a family member and I truly appreciate it. See you next January or February!

Wade and his staff have been exceptional in their assistance with my hard to fit feet. I have several foot issues, and Wade has been very patient when I have come in with questions. He has also done a great job making my orthotics and ordering shoes for me for the past 5 years. Podiatrists in the area also highly recommend Wade's expertise.

Came to this store about one year ago with severe pain in my feet due to 30 degree pronation of my left foot. Since receiving my custom fit orthotics and gaining the best advice on how to address my feet happy to say that I am about 100% PAIN FREE more than a year later.
