I phoned this doctor 3 months ago, got 2 appointments, I was told it would be 3 months to see this gentleman. I agreed to the wait. I phoned this week to make sure we were still on. The times were fine and the date, however, they told me it was NOT with the doctor we wanted as he was booked way out, I can't believe this is how they treat patients here in Florida. They just don't care, plain and simple. Makes one wonder about the reviews I've read, about the caring and understanding they received. Very sad way to treat those who claim they are accepting new patients..

Dr. Velazquez is very professional. He opens my mind on a very positive note. Very compassionate. When I first suspected having breast cancer he acted immediately and scheduled me for a lot of follow ups. In deed I was diagnosed with breast cancer. 1 year and half later, I am doing good and declared NED. I will never forget that day when i have my initial appointment with him. Dr. Velazquez has a very relatable and trust inspiring personality. He always shows concern and compassion without judgement. He recommended a diet to help me lose some weight and had before and after pics of himself to show that it can work. The staff is extremely polite and responsive. I am VERY happy with my experiences there every time I have an appt. The Labcorp personnel are also very good at their jobs... and I hate needles.. .

Dr. Velasquez has been my PCP for now 3yrs. He has not changed. I so appreciate how he listen's to both my spoken and unspoken words. How he communicates is clear, precise and educational. St. Vincent’s primary care is good.They have you preregister so you don’t have to do a lot of paperwork at the office. Not a long wait time to be seen and although they spend adequate time with you, they try to get you in and out quickly. Dr. Velazquez listens to your concerns & makes sure he has covered them all and makes sure your questions are answered. Pleased with my care there.

He speak fluid Spanish and I speak both languages but when your first language is Spanish is a blessing to find someone that understands you . Very patient and very professional.

Dr.Velazquez pays attention to what the patient says and directly addresses every concern. He encourages his patients to be actively involved with their own care and treatment. He recomends based on his medical training and experience but the final decision is the patient's. I like that I can feel that I am in control of my care and wellness.
