My wife and I visited Figaro yesterday evening (Sunday). We saw that the main floor was fully occupied, so we attempted to head upstairs. There was a sign saying "private function upstairs from 11AM to 4PM", but since it was 5PM, we figured that it the upstairs was now open for customer seating. As I made my way to the stairs, the person I would assume to be the manager (a gentleman in a blazer and glasses) told me that the upstairs is "off limits" and that he was bringing down an extra table and chairs. I'm unsure of what the situation was at the cafe, but the manager was acting quite rudely to my wife and I. I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt, and made sure to say "thank you" on several occasions as he brought down the table and chairs, but not once did he acknowledge us or even bother to say "you're welcome". Once we got settled in, we each took a turn to go order our drinks. In both instances, the cashier was pleasant, but again the manager was giving off a rude tone to both of us. When our drinks were ready, he just put the drinks on the counter and walked away without acknowledging us once again. This entire experience was quite shocking, as both of our previous visits to Figaro were pleasant. The reason I'm giving this review 2 stars instead of 1 is because they are the only coffee shop in downtown Oakville that is open past 6PM. If we do return, I'm hoping that our next visit is a different experience from what we went through last night.

As a somewhat regular customer, I’ll average my review score. I won’t make mention on pricing and leave that to other reviewers. My sole concern is the recent decline in service level and quality and I hope this review allows management to focus on getting back to what used to be, what I was used to - a great little corner coffee shop. Over the last handful of visits, the coffee quality has seen great decline, always a lack of coffee, tonight was a warm water Cappuccino with a “hint” of coffee. No time to complain tonight as I had an appointment. Previously, “water” has been an issue in their soup and other times as I’ve stopped in for coffee. Don’t go in this direction, Figaro! If you need that extra .50 -.75 cents per item, add it, but don’t let the food and coffee get watered down - that’s your business. I hope to see an improvement on my next visit or it will be the last.

I came in here today and was going upstairs to place my stuff down prior to ordering, in an otherwise empty establishment. I was interrupted by the person behind the counter and said “I have to order first before going upstairs”. We obliged and ordered 2 drinks and were planning on ordering some food but became disinterested at their very rude, curt, and dismissive attitude towards us. Also, our drinks came in paper cups and he clearly labeled our order as “to go” which I sense is a passive aggressive way to tell us that we shouldn’t stay long. It’s very wasteful to use disposable cups when someone has clearly indicated they are staying in. Their coffee is average at best. Lots of much better coffee shops walking distance away including Tribeca and Pilot Roasters! Nothing like the Ottawa branch which is amazing service and great quality food & drinks.

I’m not one to normally post negative reviews but I have visited Figaro on multiple occasions and have received amazing service and a delightful crafted drink. However, this morning the service was lacking and unfortunately I was not welcomed the same way I have been accustomed too. The lady serving was quite unfriendly and unwelcoming, I was rather disappointed. I still had a great cappuccino but nothing that cannot be found further down the street at Tribecca or Aroma. I would save the trip and head over to another coffee shop down the street where you will be treated with pleasant service. It must be noted this was a one off experience but unfortunately it has left a sour taste in my mouth.

I like to care hop around the GTA and was pretty disappointment with this place. To start, they don't have a ramp so it made it incredibly difficult to access for my friend. I order a coffee and some cookies. The coffee was luke warm and just incredibly weak. It tasted like warm water. I returned it for the dark roast and it was equally weak. The cookies were definitely old. They were rock hard. I was banging them on the table as a joke and they wouldn't even break. Pretty terrible considering Tribeca is down the street, as well as numerous cafes on Kerr that are all excellent. Ambiance is nice- good looking place, but the quality we experienced was terrible and I definitely won't be back.

Best coffee in the town, amazing place, classy, chic, fancy, very unique.. great experience and wonderful european vibes. The customer service is the best i experienced as they take care of many details and the owners are always making sure things are to the customers ultimate satisfaction. The baristas are well trained to craft your drinks to have the best experience. I highly recommend this cafe and they also rent their space for private parties and functions. Great addition to Oakville.

We were excited about this place and the one who may be owner he looked like but didn't cared like, he was unfriendly and big cheat as he put different prices on display food and he charges different from his computer and when we asked he says he will do the changes tomorrow and did even said sorry and not even showed any concern. Nov 24 around 12:30pm. I usually go to pilot coffee across the street but meaning to try Figaro so figured I’ll go here today. Placed an order for a coffee to go, but the male barista put it in a dine in mug. Then proceeds to dump it in take out cup with a smug look on his face as if it was my fault he didn’t read the order correctly. Latte didn’t taste anything like coffee mostly milk because he just topped it off with more milk. Terrible attitude and experience and glad to say I’ll be sticking with pilot coffee going forward

This is a great place to work, socialize and relax. The music is on point, not too distracting but also not too boring…jazz, French, Spanish. The coffee and snacks are great too, and if you’re feeling like a drink, you have that option too. Electrical outlets everywhere means you’re flexible to do just as you please. I come here all the time for many different reasons and you meet all kinds of people. The owner is extremely welcoming and is always available for a great conversation too, and also open to suggestions of how you can make his place more eventful. Come once, and it’ll be your second home.

This café brings friendly and warm ambience every time I visit. The moment I open the door a waves of rich coffee smells and welcoming smiles from their staff engulf me and makes me fell if I’m coming home. Probably the dark colour of the interior helps also in creating this feeling. The price is perfectly match the high qualities of their coffee and bakery items. In general I always enjoy my time there. It’s become my destination every time I go downtown town or to end my walk at the lake alone or with friends who also loved this place. I recently celebrated my friend's birthday at Figaro and invited 25 guests. The main floor was all booked for us with a custom-made buffet filled with delicious refreshments, unlimited coffee, tea and water. Figaro is very different and well organized, its atmosphere is so cozy and relaxing, great music, capable staff, and the owner is just wonderful and he clearly knows his stuff. If you're up for a fresh place with a beautiful vibe then Figaro is a must to visit. It's an excellent place to chill with friends. Highly recommended!

For the services, the female cashier was rude because I requested for a warm water but got the tap water in plastic cups and the dish used to put the cake was full of dust. About the foods and drinks, it's unremarkable with no latte art on the flat white and a little coffee residue in it, which means that the coffee machine was not clean.

What a fabulous find in downtown Oakville! Absolutely fantastic venue with delicious coffee, a great vibe and brilliant staff! The manager Mike is lovely - and has always made time to come and say hello. There is a great selection of snacks - both sweet and savoury, hot and cold. A very clean cafe with plently of seating! I visited this cafe the other day and was extremely disappointed. I felt the staff was unprofessional and unprepared for the service they were meant to provide. They took for ages to prepare my order, and they told me that they won’t give coffee in mugs because they are about to close, closing was 3 hours away. Totally blown away. I had a new (not set up) debit card that kept declining. I told the server I was on a coffee date and I would be greatly appreciative if he could help me since I don't carry cash. Realistically I give it a 4.5 star. The ambiance is great inside; it's perfect for studying or hanging out with a friend. The pastery selection is excellent. I also reccomend the red lentil soup if they still have it because it was lovely. I've had quite a few drinks from here and they're the only reason I would not give this place a 5 star. The drinks have never stood out to me flavour wise but they suffice nonetheless.

Delicious homemade sandwiches and London fogs. The vibe/aesthetic of the café is amazing, and it's big enough that there's usually a table free (but not too big that it feels impersonal). I went to Figaro with my family on a long weekend Sunday. They have the best roasted coffee beans in town. Loved their espresso. Customer service was great. Cold brew is pretty good, for some reason the takeout cup has more than a for here cup. So just ask for a to go cup. Also upstairs is pretty dark, there was no AC running when i came and it was so hot so it was hard to sit and study. I recommend!

What a wonderful and warm place. Extremely friendly, delicious coffee. The gentleman was so kind and treated my daughter to free ice cream. We will be visiting very soon.
