Stumbled upon this neighborhood gem. Came by this Nice quaint and cozy coffee shop near by the old wonder bread bakery around 5 pm.. all the other nearby coffee places had already closed for the day. I am so glad that my friends and I decided to take a chance and make the stop over. It was just a short 10 minute walk from the old wonder-bread factory. The coffee here was so delicious. The filing station also had a good selection of pastries available. We tried the Apple cider fancier. It was moist and very flavorful. For a drink we had a hot vanilla macchiato. The taste was sweet and aromatic. The beans that were used are just so flavorful. Another member of our party got an iced cold brew. The coffee was smooth and strong. The black iced tea was sweetened perfectly and had a good taste. The last thing that we got was a juice that was freshly squeezed on site. It was an apple, spinach, ginger blend. It tasted very fresh and sweet. The flavors are blended very well and tasted great. The girls that were working there were very friendly and made great suggestions. I would definitely come back again.

Nice sized coffee shop, conveniently located in the Beacon Hill / Union Hill area. The staff members were all very friendly and great service! Tasty espresso drink options and fantastic fresh juices along with Ibis bakery to-go food items and baked goods are available! Speaking of Ibis baked goods, they have kouign-amanns available. If you don't know what they are, they are one of the best French pastry invented. Definitely try them with your latte!

The lobby closes at 3pm, understandable, so we had go in the drive thru so wasn’t able to experience the “atmosphere “ of a coffee shop. There are prices on the menu but then u get to the window and they have a list of their specialty drinks and foods/snacks that didn’t have prices. I paid $12 for a small pumpkin pie latte and a cold/room temp pop tart that I know would’ve been cheaper elsewhere. I didn’t receive a receipt to know exactly what I was charged so I’ll imagine that I left a $3 tip for great customer service, but not great tasting coffee or food. Definitely won’t be returning.

*I spilled my coffee* The coffee here is strong and pure. As coffee should be. Not much more to say about that really. The sandwich though... Amazing. I had The Cadillac (brioche bun + scrambled farm egg + duroc ham + cheddar + sriracha mayo) with added avocado. I couldn't believe how well all the flavors went together. Just a real treat that was unexpected. The mouth feel was so much more than I expected as well. I'm a texture person, and the mix of the bun with the inside ingredients was so satisfying. It's filling, but you can tell you aren't eating junk food. I highly suggest you try the Cadillac, get a macchiato, and water. I think you'll enjoy it. Provecho!

The coffee is waaaaayyy over priced and not great... at all. On street parking, I liked the location and the building was a neat concept (coffee garage). Customer service needs improvement. I bought the honeysuckle latte- had zero notes of anything but latte, an iced carmel latte- meh, an 8oz hot chocolate (filled only 3/4 of the cup so more like 6oz plus foam) and a chicken bacon kale wrap.... I swear it was just kale. So another place to cross off this check out list, but won't return.

Great atmosphere! Lots of natural light & cute plants. - Serves Messenger coffee. - Espresso machine: La Marzocco Linea Classic. - Food options: Bakery items (including gluten friendly options) and a full menu which looks ideal for brunch. - Pet friendly; there’s a dog park out front. - Seating: Efficient seating indoors; although the building is small the seating didn’t feel crowded. There’s lots of outdoor seating too.

I always heard good things about this place, and finally tired it just yesterday - wow, I wish I’d come here sooner! Great atmosphere. Very welcoming and chill. Fantastic, speedy service. Spot-on coffee. I ordered a traditional espresso macchiato, and it was made perfectly. And absolutely delicious food. I had a smoked turkey breast sandwich with red onions and avocados on a hearty multi-grain bread. My mouth is watering, just thinking about it again. Overall, a very very good experience. Will definitely be returning soon.

I was welcomed the moment I walked in the door, and my order was prepared very quickly. I love the atmosphere the cafe gives. Overall a fantastic experience and I will come again the next time I'm in the city.

Stopped by for a quick cup of coffee on our way out of town. I ended up grabbing a second coffee for the road and a coffee cup. Highly recommend this coffee shop! I had to edit my review because I came back again! Lol Six months later and this adorable spot still stands out. Love this place! They got me fueled up for my road trip back to Austin.

I thought this would be a cute coffee place to go to on the regular since its so close to me but its definitely not a place you'd want to come to on your lunch break. I ordered a small iced latte, it cost $8 (which doesn't match their pricing) and took over 15 mins to get my drink. I could understand if there was a line or something but hardly anyone was there. Also, the baristas were talking and laughing the whole time while I was waiting by the bar. Huge disappointment

Decent little coffee house where a fulling station once stood. I'm not from the area, but I believe it's in the Union Hill neighborhood. Young couples with and without kids and dogs are hanging here. The menu boasts eclectic light fare. I had the cranberry walnut toast with almond butter, drizzled with honey. My friends had a bagel, and chicken salad croissant, no complaints. My Ethiopian pour over was delicious! Im only giving 4 stars because they were 86 overnight oats, which was why i really wanted to go.

I've been coming here for a couple of years as I live close by. Okay coffee, however it is a very nifty location/space. A former auto/filling station it has a very open/airy feel to it. On a clear day it is very bright. Also there is a nice patio, with a well kept lawn. Development in area is amazing - smart move for the owners of this establishment. Food selection is good and staff, while there has been some quirky ones (I know, its a coffee shop) is for the most part, very nice.

What a great little coffee shop! I love the ambience of the old filling station building; inside, it's open, airy and very welcoming. The staff is awesome--they'll guide you through the menu, brew and/or modify any drink on the menu, and do it all with a smile. The drinks are delicious, and there's lots of good eats as well. I've held a couple of meetings here and it's now my go-to relaxed meeting spot in Midtown!

  • Kimberly Henderson

Met a business contact here for a midday cup of ☕. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my associate. I placed an order for a small macchiato. My associate arrived 15 minutes later, placed her order, and received her drink in 2 minutes. I had to inquire with the cashier about my drink. She didn't even remember what I had ordered or that it had not been prepared. I was very disappointed and this was my first visit.

  • The Kansas City Foodie

Dope little spot! Coffee was delicious. Staff was very friendly. High ceilings, lots of light and most importantly lots of plugs around each table! The tables were actually stable and quite large, which is a novelty in the KCMO coffee shop market. Definitely will be one of my go to spots for editing videos! Reach out if guys are interested in content or a branding video

I freakin LOVE it here. My go-to spot for a healthy breakfast/lunch and my absolutely favorite spot for a morning or midday pick me up before work. I highly recommend trying their Everyday Bowl if you’re hungry, and the espresso shake is awesome if you want something sweet with a little caffeine.

The raw juice was great and the quinoa bowl was one of the tastiest I've had. I wish it was bigger for the price though. I'm not a big eater (small female) and was still hungry at the end. They could use a bigger bowl and just add more quinoa since it's not as expensive as the toppings. Building was cute and I'd come here again. I might have a snack before though.

This is a delightful little cafe in Midtown. The staff was a bit overwhelmed but it was about brunch time on Sunday morning. I definitely plan on going back and trying out some of their more elaborate offerings. A gentleman in front of me had an "Everyday bowl" which looked positively amazing, fruit, spiced quinoa and peanut butter.

  • Jerry Oldie

Stopped in again this weeked. Had a GREAT chocolate and cinamon cupcake. With coffee, of course. This is the place to to spend a lazy afternoon. A beautiful afternoon, a great cup of coffee, and a bicycle ride. What could be better? Quite a let, of course. But you have to settle for what you can do. Stop in, you will like it.

  • Una Selmanovic

Visited today and had such an amazing experience here. Not only did I find out they carried my new favorite tea (Hugo Tea), but the barista was so nice! She even took the time to answer questions on how to brew this special tea and gave me a refill from the extra left over too. Definitely recommend this place!! More

Can’t think of any other place that makes a better mocha than The Filling Station. They use the amazing Shatto chocolate milk and it I tastes really good hot or cold. I recommend getting it cold with no ice, especially if you have sensitive teeth and that prevents your drink from getting watered down!

  • Kaitlyn Iliff

Delicious morning bowls here! Loved what they added to them and the service was friendly, quick and fantastic. I had a lovely tea here, my boyfriend had coffee. Honestly I suggest this location. You won't regret stopping. The environment is fun too and there is a decent amount of spots to sit.

I had the best service this morning! The employees were super friendly and helpful. My latte and avocado toast were absolutely delicious. Really turned my whole day around. I've always enjoyed the Filling Station, but this experience definitely meant I would love to go back.

  • Philip Hooser

I used to be here a lot and it's still good. Local roast, good pastries, nice outdoor seating. Bouncey surfaces inside make it really loud when it's busy. They used to have incredibly tasty quiche, but now it's sandwiches and specials. Still good, just... a little grim.

  • Joshua Ehl

Absolutely love this shop. It feels like I am in a genuine coffee shop in a city. Outside is a great view in all directions and inside the industrial feel is great. The staff were kind and insightful to a drink I wanted to try but only heard of and they nailed it!!

This place is so cute and in the cutest area!! We had one of their juices and it was super tasty and fresh. Also has a very nice patio. I think there are better places for studying, but this place is perfect for hanging with friends or coming by yourself!

Last time I was here, it was a cloudy grey sort of day. I got tea and a delicious gingerbread pastry, and while I enjoyed them, a Bon Iver song came on overhead. I can't imagine a more wonderful experience. It's the simple things :) More

This place is very cute on the inside. Outside patio seating for the nice weather. Plenty of options for breakfast like sandwiches, eggs bacon and oatmeals. I had the coldbrew that I liked and my friend liked the oatmilk for the latte.
