The Vanderbilt Stadium is a classic old school style structure seating around 40,000 plus fans. It may be the smallest football stadium in the SEC Conference. It’s fairly easy to purchase season tickets (like my wife and I’ve done for the last several years) and get prime locations between the 35 yard lines. The age of the stadium shows in key areas including the very small and outdated restrooms. The customer service/usher team members are always attentive and friendly. The video scoreboard has been upgraded in the last two-three years — a huge improvement over the older one. Watching a game live here vs on tv allows you to witness the significant emphasis that Vanderbilt places on academics, major gifts, and other sports with multiple short presentations during time-outs — focused on these special groups. Optional cushioned stadium seats are available to rent as you enter the gates. Vanderbilt like many other large public venues had improved public safety by restricting non-see-through bags and their respective sizes. Vanderbilt Medical Center provides on site first aid / first responders from the mobile/Lifeflight team.

If I could give this venue zero stars I would. Went to the Beyonce concert and only 2 of the 4 gates were open per the CSC event staff. The was no one directing patrons and we waited in line for 1.25 hours. It was totally unacceptable amd staff wad just standing around when we entered the stadium. Icing on the cake for approx 40k people only 2 employees were scanning tickets. When you expect that many people at your venue you need to prepare. We missed the entire intro and we were early. I have been to larger concerts and the wait was tremendously less. I still never attend an event at vanderbilt again sure to the preadmission experience and I wouldn't advise anyone else too. Horrible horrible horrible. Pic below is where we waited over an hour to get inside.

Visited for the OTRII concert. Don't bring a purse. According to SEC and NFL nothing larger than a 5x7 wallet or clear purse is allowed. Persons with medical issues are considered on an individual bases. Seats are bleacher like, you sit on a number. Seats have no back, personal space is non existent. People DO NOT sit during the performance so don't expect to sit. Finally, traffic out of the parking garage was well organized but still takes 30 ish minutes to get into open traffic.

  • Steve Davis

Attended graduation ceremony. Plenty of seating available. Stadium Seats were comfortable, though very close together as with most stadiums. Graduating class was on field level. Almost 2/3's of field covered with chairs. Traffic was not real bad. More details should have been given for available parking. Made it okay to stadium. Several roads were closed for construction and commencement. Concourse was well identified for seating locations and restrooms.

I say this as respectfully as I can: I know the people that work there are doing the very best they can. However, it is quite clear that Vanderbilt enjoys taking the cash from the SEC, but they have no desire to put any money into this stadium. This place is among the worst of all the facilities in the conference, and I've been to most all of them. The people there are super nice, but I feel for them that they have to work at such a substandard facility.

Had my very first vandy experience this past week at the Vandy Football game and it was a blast. The stadium was nice (seats aren't the best but you can move around seats- we ended up at the top so we could stand up without getting in the way of others). Prices for concession stands are the typical prices. Bathrooms have enough stall space and parking is easy around the stadium.

  • Tom Sheets

Great game day setting, a fun and immersive experience that is quite different from larger venues. Concession lines were not optimal for quickly moving people through, but the prices and selection were quite reasonable and cheaper than in other venues. Enjoyable experience all around. Noted and liked recognition of student and faculty achievements during the game.

What a cluster for visiting fans! We were instructed to go beside the baseball field to get into the stadium. Interesting that that route was closed for 15 minutes while the team and band and parents and recruits and countless others walked directly into the stadium. That prevented countless fans from getting into their seats for kickoff. Do better Vandy!

  • Silena Scott

At this particular event they had older security unable to manage the crowd. With it being dark and the row numbers having low visibility patrons were unable to locate their seats causing issues for at least the first 45 mins of the concert. The seating is fine and the concert was amazing. They just need more equipped personnel next time.

  • Lewis DeCarlo

Vanderbilt should not be in the SEC. Stadium experience I have ever experienced in any stadium, not just in the SEC. And not just because it was under construction. There were more of the visiting fans there than their own. Bathrooms were overrun. If you went to buy a coke, you missed an entire quarter of the game. Never again!!

  • Dennis Langley

Don’t waste your time visiting until they get the construction done. Our visiting experience was terrible. They could have engineered a better way to get from one side of the stadium to the other without going ten blocks around the world. Poor excuse for a SEC school to be that pathetic. It just doesn’t mean more at Vandy.

  • Yancy Lovelace

This stadium has potential, but is still pretty dumpy. Sound system was high school level at best. The announcer and the music was horrible. Also needs more food options. My vegan mother (ugh I know annoying) was not satisfied. The seats are fine, plenty of legroom, but ugh still I wanna speak to your manager. ‍♀️ …

  • Bryce Caster

The stadium is fine and it's a great way to see SEC football in an intimate environment. That said, there are certainly ways they can improve the experience. The biggest problem is that there are not enough food options and restrooms. Perhaps, they can bring in food trucks and portable toilets near one of the gates.

  • Jonathan Segal

Terrible Venue, disorganized and definitely could not handle the Jay-Z and Beyoncé concert. Security was a disaster, you couldn’t walk anywhere. Took forever to get in. People standing in the isles so you had to fight to get back to your seat. You could tell that nobody had properly thought this through.

  • Steve Engle

Had a great experience at a Vanderbilt football game. Lots of fun. Food and drinks are priced super high but that's true of every stadium in America. Parking was easy and close. I sat in Section K which was in the end zone but it was just fine for viewing and close to restrooms, concessions, etc.

  • Teresa Silverman

Ugh! I've been to several games at Vandy's stadium and my visit for UGA/Vandy on Saturday was the worst. Despite other pathways, we were sent to wind through the gym. Hopefully, their construction will be finished soon as it puts a damper on live games and makes you just want to stay home.

  • Charles Pascual

We've been attending games here - as the visiting team - for over 30 years. It's the smallest stadium in the SEC but it's a nice, on-campus stadium nonetheless. Being small, the sight-lines are all good. There are several on-campus paid parking garages within an easy walk to the ballpark.

  • Daniel

This stadium needs to be remodelled. I know you don't want to invest in it because your team hasn't made it to a bowl game until this season. But your bathrooms are nasty.... NASTY. We went during the Florida game. Sea of blue and orange, as it should be! GO GATORS!!!

  • JK Hunter

Attended the On The Run II Tour, #OTRII The Carters, Jay-Z and Beyonce...we're FANTASTIC FABULOUS and EXTREMELY ENTERTAINING!!! The venue is dated, benches are below 2018 standards and the steep walk up gave me Asthmatic issues. Time to tear it down and start over.

  • Kris Chadwick

Embarrassing venue. Crowd control is a joke: I have no idea why there are so many random objects in the way as people are trying to make their way to seats, concessions, restrooms, etc. Hoping the construction updates they are making result in a better experience.

  • Travis Rice

This stadium was apparently designed by someone who did not know the dimensions of a football field. You can't see the sides of the endzones on whichever side you are sitting on. This has nothing to do with the construction. Also the Nachos were not very good.

  • Katrina Freemon

I had so much fun...the venue was perfect. #CARTERS #ONRII Great show...wonderful location. No purses in the stadium ladies...I wish I would have none. Clear bags were ok...I think they should list that on the ticket sale site. Other thank that...not bad.

  • Stephanie Merrimon

Went for the Vandy /Gator game..I'm a Gators fan so the game wasn't a win for us but the Stadium is very nice..awesome staff..and prices are high..but what would one expect..3 Pretzels and 3 waters was $47.00 but it is what it is. We had a blast

  • Melanie Dugan, Real Estate Agent

This was our first time to visit the stadium. We were in town to watch a game. We were able to park close to the stadium which was nice. The best thing was how friendly and welcoming the event staff were. It was a fun atmosphere and great game!

  • mikegunter

The SEC should demand upgrades to this place. It's not only a poor stadium but very unsafe! We were on the visitor side and there are no ramps to go up if you are sitting on the higher rows. We were on row 59 and there were still another 15

  • ang g

First time at a large stadium. Seating is very tight so buy an extra ticket if you can for more room. Views of game seems to be good from all seating spots. Food and drink prices are slightly high but cheaper than expected. Read the bag

  • Cathy Hales

It is great to be close to field but stadium is dated. No place to sit out of sun except toilets. Could use TVs in concourses and restrooms. Hand rails would make it a lot safer. Food choices high in calories. Game day managers should

  • Adam Dodson

Elevator not working. Staff didn't have key. Food was good. Bar was good. Weather was bad. Team played well. Cleanliness was good. Security was not really seen. Covid precautions were absent. Social distancing and mask were absent.

  • Jim DeRonck

You can sit wherever you want because nobody goes!!! Kidding aside, it is nice to have plenty of room and short concession lines. Good variety of food and drink. Place could use a little fix up, but overall a good experience

  • Eric Sizemore

This stadium does not hold a lot of people compared to other SEC schools. However, you are much closer to the players and the field. A really nice experience I recommend everyone do with their favorite College team.

  • Beverly boggess

This is a fairly small football stadium however, the experience is big! So much spirit and fun. Staff is courteous and friendly. Food is great especially in comparison to other stadium food. Amazing experience!

  • Lucille Finger Muhammad

Seat were extremely to close. Very uncomfortable. School charges for programs. Every other college gave them away for free. Do not offer handicapped parking for visitors. Need improving on accommodations.

  • Michael Ingram

Construction made for a more challenging entrance and exit. The picture of the basketball court was from the labyrinthine entrance. I am sure it will be awesome when they get the work finished someday.

  • Jen Coleman

Compared to the Uni of South Carolina......it was mediocre at best. Slim concessions and construction made it difficult to maneuver. They also allowed fans to stand at the rails, blocking views -

  • Damyon Fikes

I had a great time at the Auburn vs Vanderbilt game and I'm sure the stadium will be awesome when construction is complete. It was confusing trying to find the correct entrance in the stadium.

  • Peter Stein

Horrible place to see a game during construction. We parked next to stadium and had to walk a .ile to get to seats. Fhey should have atte.pted different venue for football games.

  • andrew cazana

Vanderbilt never ceases to make sporting events feel like high school. Construction during the season is ridiculous. Entering the stadium via tunnel felt like a huge fire hazard.

  • Michael Dean

They were not ready for max capacity. Bathrooms are horrific and, food vendors are awful here. This place needs upgrades or it will continue being the laughing stock in the SEC.

  • Jim Hunt

It's a little tough to get around this year due to the construction. But, it was still a good atmosphere. The food was good, but more choices would be appreciated.

  • Lisa

This stadium felt like a High School stadium. There is one small video board and very few lights. Clearly, the SEC money does NOT go to the Football program.

  • amy lynne

It was ok, not terrible by any means, when you use to UK stadium you tend to look at everything as you dont realize how different stadiums are.so different

  • Jeremy Cowan

Love my home team THE DORES!!! If u want to watch good football come to our stadium, kick back, drink a cold beer, and enjoy some SEC football...

  • J. Jackson

This stadium is solid. No real bad seats. Be carefully the stairs are large so be careful going up. Wish the vending was better set up.

  • Damon Reynolds

Great stadium to watch some games. There are no bad seats !! The staff does a good job getting all the guests in the stadium. …

  • peter covino

This stadium is definitely in need of an upgrade. But it is centrally located on campus near residential neighborhood

  • Sam Winters

Bathroom and concession line waits haven't changed in my 50 years of coming here. Still a great place to see a game.

  • Shaun Travis

It's OK. It was under construction while we watched the football game so it was a pain to get in and out.

  • Eldon Fields

Watched the Florida versus Vanderbilt game. Stadium is older but a good venue for an SEC football game.

  • Angela G

My son is 14 and it is 1 of his top 5 colleges for baseball. It was awesome taking him to see it....

  • david white

I understand this stadium is going through renovation but after my first visit,I wasn't impressed .

  • Mathew Carter

Under a lot of construction. Not fan friendly. Considerable amount of walking to get to your seats.

  • Erin Davis

Smaller stadium so it's easy to get in and out. It's fun and all of the seats are good.

  • twdport0413

Easy access. Easy layout. Accessible for everyone. Not a bad bench in the stadium.

  • Hope Greer

My husband, Michael Humphrey, got a few pics (before construction of new stadium.

  • John Bierdeman

Every seat is a great view. Perfect stadium. There for the Vandy - Gator game.

  • Daniel Farrell (Sr)

Great stadium, although under expansion/construction. Nice seats everywhere.

  • Mike Neely

If we could just hire Urban Meyer we might have some fans in the stadium.

  • Tim Clapper

About time for a remodel..maybe yall finally have a winning season..lol

  • Beth Slusher

Super hot day but had a blast watchimg Vanderbilt win. Go Vandy!!!!

  • Jonathan Howard

Not as impressive as Neyland Stadium but it’s still an SEC stadium

  • Lonnie Cross

I’m a Vols fan but this campus and their facilities are fantastic.

  • Jeff

Nice Venue; all good seats. However the bathroom lines need work.

  • Dan Cox

even during construction stadium is clean and staff friendly.

  • derek bryant

Beautiful stadium. Staff was very helpful and genuinely nice

The smallest stadium in the SEC is cool in its own right.
