Worst emergency experience! The ER nurses at the admission on November 13 in the morning was very rude and ignorant. My daughter got her neck injuries. Her sister is an OR nurse working at the operation room sent her Foothill ER because my daughter’s injuries were severe. My daughter was suffering from severe pains and almost fainted out. She could not even breath with a badly swallen throat and severe migraine. She could not turn to the right or left her neck. She could not bend neither. She was alone because our family all worked on Sunday. My husband was waiting outside the hospital over 6 hours because he was an senior with heart problems. So one of the desk person put my daughter on wheelchair. She got maximum Advils and Tylenols. However, she still had severe pains at her neck and head. She had to hold her neck with her injured and teared shoulders and arms over 1 hour and 20 min by herself. She asked to help to put anything to put around her neck while she was waiting for the doctor. The two nurses were so rude and mean. One of them commended her to hold her neck with her injured elbows and shoulders another over 3 hours after holding 1 hour 20 min. My daughter asked them it would not be possible to keep holding her neck another a few hours with her sore elbows which she even mentioned when she has admitted to the same nurse. My daughter asked any cervical collar. The nurse said it could not be given. Keep holding my daughter’s neck with her arms another a few hours. She refused to help at all and called the security. The security came and saw that the two nurses did not help at all. The other nurse was so mean and there would be nothing to help. She said that collar only allowed to people who have trauma. These nurses do not even have common training nor sense. Because my daughter said it would not be possible to hold her neck another a few hours with her teared shoulders while the security was watching. That nurse offered a piece of warm blanket. My daughter said she would need more layer of the blankets to put support her neck. She refused. She was so rude and mean. My daughter was so desperate to get help. She had gotten her cortisol shots and PRP both shoulders and gone to waveshocks last year and this year. Finally the security stepped in. He said she was trying to do to my daughter which was not far from true. So my daughter said to them we all knows that they were not doing their best. All of sudden there was silence because it was so true. Finally that nurse gave her another blanket for her neck. With the two layers of blankets, my daughter could finally support her neck while eating 2 hours and half at the waiting area 1 and another 3 hours and half at the waiting area 2. Why did they not offer layers of blankets to support her neck at the beginning rather than making this trauma at ER? Why they made my daughter fight for two blankets for her injured neck? My daughter never experience this mean and rude ER at Rockyview last 20 years not none of our family members. Rockyview has much professional ER nurses even from the admission. Our family trusts Rockyview ER. We never want to go back to Foothills ER. The ER admission at the first area and the 2nd area the admission lady who arranging the bed order for the patient in the afternoon was very ignorant. Both were terrible experience. My daughter had to wait 6 hours to see a doctor holding the two blankets to support her neck without eating any food or getting any help. On the contrary, according to my daughter’s experience, all the volunteers were professionally trained and helpful. They were much better trained than ER admission nurses and the 2nd area admission lady. FootHill ER is disgraceful to the reputations of the entire Foothills Hospital.

I've reached out to their mental health services. I've had a really good experience and a really bad experience. The staff who are capable of supporting someone through distress are so amazing. But the staff members who aren't capable are horrible, yet they are trusted by the hospital. A while ago I went to the emergency department in hope of accessing mental health support. When I first talked to a nurse I was a little uncomfortable, but she was very kind and accommodating and eventually got me in contact with the emergency psychiatrist while I was there. The psychiatrist was excellent, and got me the exact kind of support I needed. I'm in the psychiatric adult services (PAS) program, and man the people helping me are amazing. This experience was perfect, but I've also had the complete opposite kind of support from Foothills. More recently when I went into emergency I had a terrible experience. The first guy I talked to was pretty intimidating and didn't show any compassion, but I didn't feel entitled to it so it didn't bother me too much. When I was brought in to talk to a nurse I told her what I was experiencing even more openly than the first time. I was anticipating the same kind of support that I received the first time because the problems I was facing were no different. They recognized that my distress was urgent the first time I came here, but this time it wasn't even recognized as distress. The nurse rudely invalidated me. She told me that "there are people with REAL problems here." She blamed social media for the problems I was facing. She told me that my distress was my fault for not having healthy coping skills. Then she sent me home. Later that night I was brought back half dead in an ambulance. I can understand that some people aren't able to understand these issues, but I can't understand why someone would go out of their way to pin their shame onto someone. Its even more confusing to me that they'd give that person so much power in handling people seeking a last resort. One bad worker doesn't mean they're all bad workers, but there is great possibility of harm when dealing with a patient's mental health. The inconsistency can be dangerous, and trust is hard to rebuild. I hope the hospital can recognize how much responsibility their individual workers are capable of handling rather putting a nurse to use where she is useless. Still 3 stars cause my therapist and psychiatrist are awesome.

Went to emergency this morning due to numbness and tingling in my right arm. After over 5 hours a doctor saw me, wait time is what I expected as I realize there are more urgent medical needs. The doctor that saw me didn’t even listen to my concerns. Had a response in his head before even coming to the bedside. Mentioned X-rays wouldn’t show degeneration. I said ok but when I had an MRI done there was nothing showing there for degeneration, only in my L4, L5 and S1. He responded with a well x-rays won’t show it. I said I didn’t say x-ray and he shrugged. He recommended Naproxen as an anti inflammatory, which I told him I’ve been on for a month and it doesn’t do anything. Went to his computer and said oh you had a prescription for it filled 2 days ago. My last prescription for it was not two days ago, but May 16th and I don’t have any left. I said it wasn’t 2 days ago and he said ok maybe 4. Being that it’s June 7th that’s clearly more than 4 days ago. So I’m supposed to take an anti inflammatory that I don’t have, that I tried explaining hasn’t helped with the neck pain anyways but that seemed to be irrelevant. Numbness and tingling have only been happening last 2 days and at times I can’t even hold a pen. Pain is constant and makes sleep difficult. But evidently it’s just a flared up muscle, which brings me back to the degeneration comments. If it was just a flared up muscle why mention degeneration? I have tried massage, was given various stretches and have tried soaking in a hot tub to help. Nothing has given me relief. The doctor Matthew (didn’t remember his last name as it was a more unique last name) didn’t listen to me and basically wrote me off before he even spoke to me. Made the waiting to be seen for over 5 hours be for nothing. Been debating what I can do now as who knows what he’s written in my chart.

After a nightmare month of throat infections, pain, and antibiotics - our last trip to the family doc had him take one look and send us to Foothills ER because he had identified a tonsil abscess. After being treated like an overbearing mother for trying to communicate for my kid in triage (said kid isnt 18 yet, and her throat was SORE - so speaking was not fun) - we waited 4 hours to see a doc who basically dismissed us. He 'couldn't even get a good look' in her throat - blamed my kid for having her tongue in the way - didn't try to look a second time - said strep swabs aren't very accurate but that this met criteria for strep, then sent us away with morphine syrup and antibiotics (hello - can't swallow!), but told us to come back if she couldn't open her mouth. She actually COULDN'T open her mouth wide enough for him to press her tongue down and see her throat...not that he tried to look more than once! We filled the prescriptions and tried the syrup/antibiotics...but ended up at Urgent Care in my town the NEXT NIGHT where they actually listened to what we were saying and consulted with the Children's Hospital - where she was subsequently transferred via ambulance -- where tests were run and treatment performed. 15 CCs pulled from that tonsil...15!!!

Once again November 2023, for another patient in the community Foothills put an elderly persons in unsafe circumstances after a discharge after zero medical care and no discharge plan as reported as is in my recorded phone saved in my records for review on consistent medical negligent activities, as is commonknowledge among patients and community members. In this case today nurses agree the issues are concerning and should be heard while doctors ignore problems, as discussed phone recorded. Doctors and other staff also remain uninterested and unconcerned in what could be life or death circumstances. Foothills for the 8th time have me some more poop in my hands today after less than 24hr admissions after saving his life from the noose using my full strength to hold his body weight while waiting 15mins for emergency services to arrive, and then nothingness to follow as usual when it comes to helping my child with mental health problems problems. Never ever ever have they been of helpful service at this facility either. Never ever ever trust AHS to do any good for anyone mental health in the community and that is now expert opinion...

The nurse Catherine (wears glasses) (unit 44) serving my brother was rude. My brother was in pain and needed pain killers so he called a nurse. She comes in and asks him what he needs. I answer very politely for him and say “painkillers”. She responds with a “honey he can speak for himself”. It was very unnecessary of her to be speaking this way. And it was my first time visiting a patient at this hospital and I’d understand if we kept bugging her or asking for her things but it was literally the first time I spoke to her. She comes in again to the room and one of my other family members asked if she could tell us where the microwave is in the hospital so we can heat up food for our brother. Completely ignores before he finishes his sentence and barges out. Don’t really trust nurses with this attitude to be serving my brother. Although the second nurse Eva, I believe was very sweet! She brought us chairs to sit as soon as she noticed us standing. And she seemed super caring towards her patients.

I went at 2:00 AM after having a severe episode of vomiting for 4 days getting to the point I was vomiting blood, I waited 4 hours still dry heaving every 2-3 minutes continuously. My partner went up to the nurse desk numerous times asking for help because I’d become severely dehydrated, the night staff were too busy playing games with each other and laughing cracking jokes, anyone who asked for help was met with snobby comments and horrible attitude. There were maybe 8 people in the ER waiting room the entire night…no one moved including people with severe physical injuries. My partner made the decision to drive me to AIRDRIE URGENT CARE, I was immediately put on an IV and given meds and had a diagnosis within a few hours, the staff in Airdrie were not happy with the treatment I received at foothills and stated they’ve been getting lots of people from foothills for the same problem. Hopefully you’ll never need to go to the hospital in the middle of the night, but if you do….DONT GO TO FMC ER.

I was here for a ridiculous amount of time waiting to see a doctor. Not their fault, they’re just understaffed. A 2 hour wait time quickly turned into a 23 hour visit. Nurse Dani was incredibly kind and did everything she could for her patients to keep them comfortable while waiting, all the staff apologized over and over for the wait. I know it’s not their fault, but it was nice of them to acknowledge that everyone had been waiting a while. The system is very broken, but the staff here do their best. I was in the initial waiting room for 9 hours, saw many people turn around and go home including a lady with a broken/fractured wrist. The triage area couldn’t give her anything for her pain and she couldn’t stand sitting there for that long with no treatment so she left. I hope that there is some improvement to this situation soon because honestly it was scary. That being said, the staff are amazing and try their best. Thank you nurse Dani!

I've been here for about four days now and I can honestly say it's been as positive an experience as it could be. All the nurses, porters, attendings and food services people are lovely hardworking people that do their best to ensure you're comfortable. The apheresis/neouro people are friendly, professional and kind. Considering I'm stuck here for at least two weeks it means a lot to know that my stay will be as comfortable, safe and low-stress as it can be. HOWEVER. Something really needs to be done about the service elevator situation. On a busy day porters and patients are jammed back to back with beds and wheelchairs outside elevator doors. I have seen it take 15-20 minutes for elevators to become available so porters can transport patients to the higher floors. I am very lucky non of my exams have been emergencies. I cannot imagine how bad this elevator system could get in an emergency.

I’m shocked that some of the nurses that work here actually work with patients. Most of them are extremely condescending and impatient which is very ironic….. My boyfriend went in for severe back pain and excessive blood in his urine. There was a male nurse, I think his name was Jamie, telling my boyfriend to stop pretending to faint as it’s not gonna get him in faster. We waited over 6 hours and got nothing done. We’ll we got tired of how poorly they treated my boyfriend and we went to rockyview instead. They took him in right away as an urgent patient and they found a huge mass and needs an emergency surgery. They got him in INSTANTLY and we’re very surprised that foothills didn’t take his pain seriously. Foothills would rather have people die on their watch then actually believe what their patients say. Quite disgusting if you ask me.

My sister was diagnosed with State 4 Ovarian Cancer and after 3 chemo treatments had to go in for surgery to try and get as much of the cancer removed as possible. It was a major surgery and she was in the hospital 5 days on 4th floor, Unit 42. The entire family was in awe and so disappointed in the lack of empathy and care my sister received. They consistently forgot to give her meds, she had to call them and remind them she hadn't had her meds. A group of nurses would talk and laugh outside her door late in the evening, 11:30pm, when she, and other patients, were trying to rest and sleep. I was there one afternoon when she asked a nurse for her meds, nurse told her she would be right back but after 15 minutes I went looking for her to be told she had gone for lunch and didn't let anyone else know my sister needed her meds??

Thank you , thank you, thank you for all of you that took care of me during my almost a week staying at Unit 41A room 426, from the day I was accepted to the day I left the hospital. You were all kind, respectful, professional, knowledgeable and ready to help me with every single demand I had during my staying and I couldn't go through this process without your help. I don't want to name all of you here because I want you all to feel included in this review, from the persons that cleaned my room to the person that answered my calls, especially all the nurses and aides that were attending me non stop every time I had an issue. You were all smiling under your masks (I could see your eyes smiling too!) and the professionalism was unparalleled. Thank you all!! May life give you back what you have given me, doubled!!

On Sunday night I was experiencing symptoms of a stroke. My husband took me to Sundre, then I was sent my ambulance to Foothills. When I arrived there was 2 doctors and 2 nurses waiting for me. Within 10 minutes I was in a CT scan. Within another 10 I was administered TPA. After that I was checked every 30 minutes. The care I received from Sundre through to my time in Foothills was absolutely exceptional. Throughout the experience my husband and I would compliment and thank the staff and some of them almost seemed surprised we were expressing how grateful we were. People tend to only give negative feedback, these are people that deserve to be told they are doing a great job. They work long hours and make sacrifices with their families the least we can do as patients is give them a simple thank you.

I had a major neck surgery done. June 6th. I was in recovery by like 5pm that day and then discharged less than 24 hours later. 1. I swear the staff were soo overworked. They were all incredibly friendly though 2. I shared a room with 3 other people and bathroom with an additional 4 other people (that kinda sucked). It was hard to navigate my IV machine in between other people's stuff to get to the bathroom. 3. I assumed I would have been admitted longer. I'm from Medicine Hat and I didn't think I would have been let go that early since just after having a baby I spent 3 days in the hospital. 4. The Surgeon Dr. Hart was amazing. He's knowledgeable and friendly. Just sucked I didn't get a chance to speak with him before leaving the city. In all honestly it wasn't bad.

Went to ER tonight at midnight..Got checked in and was told that there was quite a wait but to come back to triage if things worsen/changed. After 2am I was feeling worse so I went back to trage.saw a different nurse. When I explained why I was there and that I was feeling worse, she said "well you've only been here a couple hours". I replied "I was told to come back up if I was feeling worse, so I'm letting you know I'm feeling worse". She then said "well you've only been here a couple hours, you can wait for a few more". I'm pretty sure that's not how the health care in a 1st world country is supposed to work. If nurses don't want to deal with the public they are in the wrong profession.

  • Riley Locke

I had my first birth at Foothills and every single nurse that we came in contact with was compassionate, caring, patient and just made the overall experience incredibly smooth. Due to COVID we also had a private room from which we could see the mountains (pretty cool). I went in on Sunday for some concerns with my second pregnancy and both Larissa and Courtney were fantastic to deal with. I was in and out in less than a half hour, and wasn't made to feel like an inconvenience. Instead they were both reassuring and kind. I would recommend this hospital to anyone looking to give birth and/ or receive maternal care as each time I've gone in, I've had nothing but positive experiences.

On Friday July 14,23, I took my mom to FMC Emergency, beside waiting frim 8pm to 5 am July15, not seeing doctors eventually, there was a male unit clerk in green scrub, between 2-5 am july 15 in ER he was so rude and nervous, I asked him about our wait time, after 8 hours, he shouted me and called me HEY in the middle of the hallway with a loud voice saying that I am accusing him, and he is working night shift!!!!!! This your job you don’t like it, you are not patient with a sick one, quit! You are not a nurse or doctor you don’t have to work in hospital, if you are tired of working night shifts. you can’t talk to patients like this… I will complain to their manager as well

  • Maha Yacoub

The staff in foothills are amazing!! Last week I saw their unconditional care with my dad. Starting with the emergency nurses and doctors who did an amazing job, continued by having the amazing doctor Scheafer as our doctor and consultant, and all the staff of Unit 36, nurses, assistances, receptionist, transporters, lunch deliverers and cleaning staff, all the people behind the scenes providing us all our needs so kindly…..They were all cheerful, helpful knowledgeable and so professional. You feel like they really know you and care about you. You are all doing a fantastic job and we really appreciate all you do. People like you are make life better.

Care and attention has been very good on all my visits and stays. The problem I find at this location has more to do with the engineering on buildings for visiting people and patients. It starts with a very confusing parking lot that has more arrows with out clear directions. Then it goes to the inside, as soon as you walk in they have a ground and a main floor. My care in the facility has been very good as I said earlier but trying to navigate for follow up care in various parts of the location can be frustrating. Compared to say the South Campus Hospital that is easy to navigate this should be an embarrassment to its engineers.

  • Chris David

This is a excellent hospital. I had to come here recently under really bizarre circumstances. The staff are amazing. They care for you. The amount of care, and compassion I received under false accusations were beyond amazing. From the Police there, Security, Peace Officers, Nurses, Doctor, and phycologist team. I feel really bad my family made false accusations and wasted tax payers dollars.. But i also think. Everyone should have a mental assessment at some point. The staff need more recognition! I wish i could do way more. But this a great start. Foothills hospital is 10/10.

My spouse and I were blown away by the level of care we received during the unexpected early arrival of our baby boy. We dealt with so many different people, it would be difficult to name them all. We we scared, unsure, and well out of our element as we have only just arrived in the are. The doctors and nurses were nothing short of amazing, talking us through everything and safely bringing our little bundle into the world. I can never thank them all enough for taking such good care of our little family, but I will forever be grateful to them for all they did for us.

  • Tara Pugh

The staff here are amazing!! Yes, it can be busy. Yes, the wait is long. But, just know this - while I was there, at least 3 nurses volunteered to extend their shifts by an extra 12 hours to help the waiting patients. Doctors have a massive case load, and even volunteers deal with patients complaining about wait times constantly, with a smile. All the staff I spoke to were respectful and helpful - whether they were in triage, behind a desk or leaving their shift at the end of the day. You are all doing a fantastic job and I, for one, really appreciate all you do ❤️

  • Tyler McDonald

Worst hospital in Calgary. Staff do not care for patients. They do the bare minimum. 3/4 of the time nurses joke and laugh in the hallways instead of caring to the patients. Caught nurses, and interm doctors in neumours lies. They do not look up patients medical history before treating the patient. While I was looking after my family member the patient beside her fell and smacked his head. My family member pushed the emergency button and no nurse came for 10 minutes to help him. If it was busy I understand but it wasn't busy. Canada health care system is broken

  • jm Lyn

Thank you to everyone who helped and look after my Aunt Dolores Sorem from Feb01-24. After the brain surgery all surgeons and specialists who did their best to revived her life from this tragic. Nurses and aide done there part. Thank you for all your support, kindness and patience looking after her. We’re all looking forward for her fast recovery back home Philippines!!! Special thanks to Michael RN on duty today for doing his best, thank you for treating us with disrespect, rudeness and no kindness at all!!! Hope not see you anymore!!!

  • Jacob Scott

This hospital is not the most beautiful aesthetically speaking and is badly in need of a modernization. However the staff at this institution from the doctors, nurses, physical therapists, social workers, to the cleaning staff, are second to none. They are some of the nicest, most understanding individuals that make the very scary and complicated healthcare experience one that is easier to navigate. I feel very fortunate to have this hospital in my own city and have constantly impressed at the level of care offered in at this hospital.

  • 1254 Liza

What an awful experience. I went in for a procedure in radiology. I live in hospitals. I have a disability so it's relatively normal for me. But I've never come across a more in-human group of people. They used a instrument on me that was way too large for my anatomy. When I tried to explain my disability would make the procedure more difficult, I was not acknowledged. They caused me way more pain then necessary. The assembly line type fashion was completely unnecessary. In and out with no real authentic kindness.

  • Desiree Barnard

I had my first surgery at the foothills hospital today and it went super smooth. The front desk staff, the doctors, nurses resident and medical students and the surgeon were all super kind and calming. From the Day and Recovery Surgery unit, This is definitely a place I would feel comfortable being sent to again and can’t say that for other hospitals and staff I’ve deal with in the past. Thank you to all the AHS staff and volunteers for all your hard work, long hours and kindness that you remain to show.

  • Adi

I had my first baby delivered here. The staff in the pre and post delivery unit was great. They were kind and patient. The pre delivery room was very well equipped. Post delivery room not so much , but nurses were great and brought me stuff that I needed. yes, the hospital is a bit old and lacks a few amenities. But health care was good. The cafeteria wasn't too bad either. It has a decent selection of items ranging from healthy to fatty :D and from vegetarian foods to non vegetarian.

Foothills Medical Centre is located in City of Calgary in Alberta, and is one of the most famous health centres, and leading teaching and research hospitals in Canada. As a part of University of Calgary Medical Centre, it covers over 2 millions people in Alberta and surrounding provinces with over 1,100 beds and advanced health care equipment and cutting edge technologies! Excellent service with amazing physicians, nurses, technicians, and service staff! Thank you for saving lives!

  • PRISCILLAR Ncube

Went in for “minor” surgery and had to spend overnight. Staff was great! Procedure and healing part, not so great, it didn’t feel minor at all, however, the following morning it was great to see that they have incorporated different cultures when preparing meals. I was served with porridge (corn meal) which is what the sick prefer for breakfast in Southern Africa as it’s easy on the stomach! Great job Foothills. Thank you being diverse and inclusive in your menu.

  • nafisseh soknaee

Emergency nurses are so ignorant. They don’t have a bit of respect or sympathy for in pain patients. no humanity, no respect and no responsibility. I almost lost my dad. My dad, with heart disease, was sitting on the floor sweating in pain and the nurse was telling him in a harsh voice not to sit on the floor. He was in such a terrible pain that he couldn’t move or talk and the nurse is worried about the rules without any single help!!!!!! Terrible

  • Ashleigh Storey

my mom recently had open heart surgery here and is currently staying here recovering and I have to say the nurses she has had have all been absolutely amazing. I went in to visit her and I didn't eat anything at all and ended up fainting and the nurses were amazing and jumped in to action and helped me and checked me over and gave me some water and juice and cookies to help me regain my strength. The cardiac unit here is absolutely amazing.

  • Sunny Wellington

Our family has had multiple visits here. Two kidney transplants, 3 week stay in the cardio unit, dialysis, emergency injury care etc. If you are visiting for consecutive days get a parking pass - it will be cheaper. Great cafeterias, cafe, art, pharmacy... For the most part the care has been excellent. The facility is much cleaner than others I have been in! Neat to see the helicopter come in on the landing pad.

  • Eli Giroux

Foothills Medical Centre is great. But there isn't much security. Anyone could walk into the hospital and go to any floor with the elevator. Though there is a security check in at wards like labor and delivery and postpartum. I went there with my mom as a birth partner. The switch from the labor to postpartum is depressing as postpartum only has shared rooms and barely any windows.

  • Devashish Shirolkar

Was moved here from Lougheed ER after having a heart attack last Thursday. Doctors and nurses in cardiac ICU are the best in the world and helped me recover - gave me medication and kept me alive when I was in a critical situation. I will be forever grateful to the medical attention provided by Dr Peters and the brilliant cardiac unit they have at this hospital :)

  • Katie Hays

I've been here 3 times over my pregnancy for pregnancy complications. A couple nurses here were amazing and made my experience better, two nurses I remember was Omana and Ruth who were great. Food was pretty good, other then the odd meal. But you could always ask for a snack and they would bring you something. Over all I had a good experience!

  • just 1 life

I love coming here for all my emergency stuff.. TheDoctors are older, smarter, seriously cares about your well being, &over all health problems issue"" ** never mine, what the paper say,___ how do you feel sir?** the environment is much better, not like peterlouge ER, Peter is full of india, India are very rude people. And noisy family calls..

  • Cailynn Kenny

Emergency and Cafe staff are very rude. I get that its a stressful environment and I was here very early, but please don’t work at a hospital if you are just going to yell at your patients. Attitude from all staff anytime I said anything and nurses standing around gossiping. Also add an hour onto whatever wait time is listed on AHS.

  • Mikey D

The staff are great, service from staff and doctors is wonderful, truly professional. Not impressed with my experience running the gauntlet of hospital policy and protocol. It discourages visitation, parking is $4.50/hr. I always take cash for the meter because sometimes the card reader doesn't read ANY of my cards. Hop this helps.

  • Lone 5tarr

Never liked hospitals, I don’t think anyone does. But my cancer has been removed twice there so far, what a thankless job, takes only the strong willed to be able to work that environment. Thank you Dr. Kelly and his team and all the staff there for your tireless survice. I am truly thankful to still be here because of them.

  • Daniela Muñoz

The truth is that the service was extremely late, we arrived at 11am and I left at 8:30pm because my stepfather had severe abdominal pain and they still did nothing. The nurses and a Doctor chatting with each other, looking at their Fb and buying clothes online while all of us patients were still waiting to be seen

Okay, coming from the Psych Ward, my experience was the best out of all the hospitals I have stayed in. Nurses are nice, attentive, and genuinely caring. The food, lol surprisingly is better than most hospital food. I'm writing this from the PLC ward and I wish I was at foothills lol. Thanks.

Best hospital in the calgary. Staffs and doctors are very cooperative, helpful and caring. I have personal experience with Lindsay Burnett, she is very good and very caring, she helps me with my recovery. She is awesome and best. Also Dr. Gabriel and Dr. Brown are best the doctors.

Our father was in palliative care on unit 36, Medical. All the staff and Doctors were exceptional. They were skilled, knowledgeable, compassionate and just simply wonderful. We are so thankful for each and everyone who cared for our father and made us feel valued and supported.

This hospital is the best hospital that I have been to in years. Everyone is so nice and very helpful. They took care of all my medical needs in a timely manner. A big shout out to Leo Hugs . You ever get lost track him down on the ground floor he is AMAZING !!!

  • Rhonda Shannon

I went into the Chapel to do a private prayer. Since when is a Chapel a lunchroom for hospital staff. Not only could I not do my prayer without an audience, but one was humming away and playing on her phone. I got up and left due to the lunchroom atmosphere.

Went to Emerge with a swelling finger. Staff were kind and helpful. I was provided a solution and relief quickly, the nurse was kind and firm handed, the Dr had a lovely manner and solid advice. **They are still wearing masks, bring your own for comfort **

Honestly, I don't know where to start. I got airlifted to this hospital for a neck surgery, and I got the best of care here. The ground and the air ambulance guys were amazing, the nurses genuinely took care of me before the surgery despite

I landed in hospital October 27th and there wasn't a bed for me so I ended up in the ER for three days until a bed came open for me in Rockyview. Worst experience ever - cold food always, cranky nurses, dirty, people screaming/yelling day

Went to this hospital because I have been exposed to second hand smoke almost constantly for a week. Waited for 6 hours. Initially 2 hours and then 4 hours. I was still having severe chest pain and cough, sore throat and burning sensation

  • Paris Paquette

Came in on a Saturday night...the wait in the waiting room was truly horrible. At one point the screen said it would be 6.5 hours before a patient could see a doctor. This is no fault of the staff, and they kept an eye on your vitals and

My wife was in the hospital with a rare disease that caused inflammation of the blood vessels in her brain. I can't believe how well she was taken care of. EVERYONE was caring. Not only with my wife but with all the patients. Even the

I was here months ago after my girlfriend sustained a potentially serious back injury. After a long wait time she was inducted, but I wasn't allowed to stay with her. The empty chair next to her bed was supposedly enough to keep her

I had my baby delivered here and my experience was great. All the staff were excellent, the level of care was amazing. Thank you very much to all the caring staff at Foothills. I highly recommend this hospital and maternity ward.

  • Enakshi Samanta

I delivered my 1st baby this Friday after my water broke at 2 am that day. Nurses are really helpful as well as the Doctors. The building is a little old. I got a private room for delivery and a shared room for postpartum.

  • Krista Boyd

We recently have been at Foothills for our pregnancy and delivery of our little boy. I can't thank the staff, nurses and Doctors enough. It has been an exhausting, scary and stressful time and they gave us 5 star care.

  • Alex Tonal

I spent 5 hours sitting in ER with no luck. Don’t waste your time there. You’d rather go there dying, otherwise they not gonna check you. Staff was friendly though, which still didn’t make any difference with an injury.

  • Cathy Wang

I’m very grateful for the doctors and nurses on the Labour and Delivery floor. Their knowledge, attention and kindness really shaped my experience as a first time mom. I’m grateful to have such a great team of people.

  • Sara Maisonet

I am deeply thankful for the neurology and radiation staff taking such good care of my mom through the last few months. You've made a stressful time much easier to handle with your kindness and professionalism:)

  • Tom Bradley

I was a patient on the third floor My waiting time was aliitle long but I was comfortable The staff and everybody looked after me 100 percent I can’t thank them enough A special thanks to the EMT team

  • Bev Bergman

I had surgery here at the end of October 2023, everyone from the minute I checked in were absolutely wonderful. Awfully nice people work there, made me feel so comfortable and at ease.

  • Anna Leonard

Came to the ER with a pretty severe injury. It’s been 10 hours without treatment. The staff has been talking to each other more than doing their jobs. Extremely upset and disappointed.

  • Alex S

We were really positively impressed with baby delivery unit and personal. Great performance, friendly staff and high level of professionalism.

  • Alanna Cline

My wife and I went in for a surgery. The whole staff from start to finish were wonderful. Hope you all at foothills keep up the good work!

  • Shassy Bones

This is the best hospital besides Peter Lougheed. It's slow but the staff are well organized it may take longer but it's worth it.

  • ChuangSi

Foothills Medical Centre saved my life. Special thanks to the ER team, Dr. Ingram & his team, and Unit 46 in Special Services.

  • John Cramer

Loved it! As much as you can love a trip to the hospital I mean, unparalleled courtesy and professionalism from staff.
