The staff are generally great, I've happily used the framing service they offer a few times in the past and I bought an etching there that I love... but, one time I brought a pastel drawing to be framed and one particular member of staff rudely interrupted having overheard my conversation with another member of staff. She insisted chemical fixing of the drawing was obligatory after I'd said I wanted it to remain unfixed. Then she proceeded to impugn the professionalism of the framers they work with (because they were all men, and so would not take care of the drawing) and boast about her own trustworthiness. She then dabbed at the drawing with her fingertip twice, to what end I don't know - perhaps to convince herself it was unfixed. Finally she tossed a piece of glossy backed paper on to the table instructing her colleague to use it to protect the drawing. The original protective paper the artist had used was not glossy, more a tracing paper finish. When I came back for the drawing a few days later I removed the glossy paper to find that it had attracted a lot of black pigment off the drawing; pure spots of black, whereas the original paper had attracted only a light dusting. This member of staff marred what should have been a pleasant experience, and marred my enjoyment of a piece of art for which I have paid £380. I think she perhaps came in to work that day hungover and it was my misfortune to encounter her.

Asked for a quote but clearly made the mistake of mentioning that I have used another framer (who mainly works for museums and private collectors) - but, that I was keen to try a local service in that I needed work with a piece of art that was ‘less valuable’ (I assume this was the bit that caused offence). I also proposed that I would bring them - at the same time - a number of paintings to work with over and above the photography mounting work.. Got a response where Linda Levy - the manager - clearly didn’t like the idea that anyone used other framing services - she simply explained that they didn’t want my business at all (note that my request to them was friendly and genuine). Amazing... Wish them and their clients all the best of luck.. Perhaps more a gift shop pedalling framed prints and so forth than a passionate and skilled framer; I guess I will never know.

I highly recommend For Arts Sake in Ealing. It’s my “go to” shop for framing my posters. The quality of the framework is always excellent. The staff also provide very good customer service. There’s no pressurising sales pitch involved. They let you take your time and have full knowledge for helping you choose the correct frame. It’s always a pleasure being their customer.

I had 2 pictures framed here and had a great experience. Didn’t catch the name of the shop assistant but he helped me choose the frames and made very good recommendations on style and colour. Lots of frame options. Also showed me the pictures before I went away with them on collection. Very polite shop assistants too!

Great place. Went in for help getting a frame and they were fantastic. took the time and gave me decent options. Didn't just try to sell me the most expensive frame which was really appreciated.

Excellent Print-framing service, great advice and not as expensive as I first feared. Great value for money & I was able to return to get matching mounts & frames for two more eBay prints.

Great local art gallery. They represent some excellent artists too. Occasionally they host openings that you can be invited to if you sign up or buy stuff. Also great cards and art books!

Be sure to find unusual art in this place. Looks small on the outside but go in and find a wide expanse of art and some photography. Staff very happy to engage on explaining art exhibited

Very helpful and not pushy. Took time to allow consideration and great suggestions. Didn't try and pursade me to the priciest options either. Would use again.
