This is a cool, historical venue in the unique neighborhood of Forest Hills. Not only does the area look like a quaint European hamlet, the stadium is a throwback to simpler times when it functioned as a tennis stadium for the US Open. Now it’s a lovely outdoor concert stadium, where the open air means great sound, great views, without trapping the sound in at ear crushing levels. All kinds of bands play here and they’ve all sounded great, regardless of style. I’ve seen Tears For Fears, Hall & Oates, Jamiroquai, The Chemical Brothers, Charlotte De Witte, Robert Plant, and Odesza play there, and it was a great venue for each artist. Good food and drinks, never a wait for the bathrooms, and entrance is always smooth. The only thing to keep in mind is that since this stadium is in a residential area, the curfew is strict, so shows are over at 10pm sharp. In rare instances the band will pre-arrange to play past that point but it’s an exception to the rule if so.

Drove 90 minutes from CT to see a concert here and worth it, very nice and well run stadium. Next time I know the train and subway stations are right there, and would do that. No on site parking or street parking but plenty of garages and we made a reservation for valet parking at the Sylvan Windsor garage 5 mins walk away on an app which was awesome, not having to find a space and then wait in a long line of cars to get out after the show. There are lots of options for less, too. Beautiful stadium, easy to get around, plenty of bathrooms and portable toilets which were clean and a sink provided. Because the (beautiful) Forest Hills, Queens residential neighborhood has an agreement with the Forest Hills Stadium to end shows at 10 most of the restaurants close then, too. Don't plan on late night eateries. But lots of places to eat beforehand. And the garages close at 11.

Best outdoor music venue in NY. I live on Long Island, and I've always loved concerts at Jones Beach - but the sound at Jones sucks. When I saw my first concert here in summer 2022, I knew it'd be my new favorite outdoor venue. Great location with train stations within 2-blocks walking distance, easy entry/exit, and great food and drink options. But the sound!!! The sound is incredible, as it was built to host tennis events. Think about how that bowl-like structure amplifies sneaker screeches and ball bounces, and then think of your favorite band playing to you seated anywhere in the stadium. Incredible. I went to 3 shows this summer (2023) and thinking about closing it out with Jungle on Sept 30th, just to savor this venue!

Went for Head in the clouds day 2 and I enjoyed it. It was tiring when I wanted to switch stages, espically with the stairs to enter the stadium. I didn't get to eat because I heard the food was expensive, $20 for a small bowl of food. I did bring a small snack, rice crispy treat but it wasn't allowed in which sucks but I guess. I also didn't get to see what else was around since I wanted to keep my front row seat. When the seats were full, security wouldn't let you in (this was for XG) you can enter floor until the set finished. Leaving the stadium, there were metro north staff ready to check tickets before heading in the station. I lined up at 12pm doors opened at 2pm, took 20 minutes to enter.

Super cool venue in the middle of a neighborhood!! Came here for the first time to see Fred again and I was blown away by my experience. It's an open venue so be prepared. It's best to commute by train if you're coming to this venue. If you plan to drive you can find plenty of parking around the neighborhood but it takes time to find. The train would be the easiest and it's barely a walk to the venue. I didn't know this when I bought tickets but there is a bowl section, which is the upper level. Seats are first come first serve in the bowl section. And then there's the general admission, which is just a big open floor by the stage.

I visited Forest Hill Stadium for the 50th anniversary of HIP HOP . The stadium area was truly not bad or confusing. The signage was easy to read and locate. The bathroom at the front of staduim had multiple attendants therefore it was pretty clean. The entry and exit was easy however throughout the show the sound system kept dropping out and the audience could NOT hear the performers. All of the seating was pretty good even the nose bleed seats weren't bad. The performers look small but were still recognizable thanks to the side moniters. Not a bad place.

The courtyard was awesome, the very vocal (necessary) attendants moving people along was excellent, and their ADA assistants were courteous. Getting to that part of Queens is a breeze for Newark. A one-stop train to Penn Station, then the LIRR to the venue. My teenager and I had a blast, separately, of course (can you imagine being seen with your parent(s) at a Clairo + boygenius concert). I know, I'm not supposed to use emojis anymore! A once in a lifetime concert made even better by a lot of the staff and the EMTs

Spacious arena and friendly staff. Very chill vibe. My friend and I came here for a concert when it was pouring rain and unfortunately, they do have a no umbrella policy, but that did not keep us from having a great time. Bathrooms were not super clean but it was apparent that staff were constantly working hard to keep them as clean as possible. Pro tip: This used to be where they hosted the U.S. Open, just to give you a feel for the stadium vibe. All in all, I would come back to the stadium for a concert.

Truly a venue that goes under the radar unless you’ve actually been; it’s one of my FAVES! Beautiful amphitheater vibe and no matter where you are, you will have a great sound experience. So many food vendors, free water refills (bring empty reusable or unopened plastic), and beverages. I wish they actually had warm beverage options; imagine hot cider! Saw one of my favorite bands here: JUNGLE and many many years ago: disclosure.

My son and I attended a Lord Huron concert at this outdoor venue. I really enjoyed the facility. We had good seats but because of the tennis stadium bones, the view probably wasn't as good as the general admission floor. Oh well, it was a great show on a beautiful night, hard to complain! Getting the train back to the city was fun after the show as well, we took it to Penn Station which is another cool experience to do.

  • Danno

Really good sound and sight lines to the stage, with views from the upper deck also, and no matter where you are in the stadium, you feel like you're at an intimate concert because of the old school design ( they don't make em like this anymore folks, built with the people in mind. Not the money..... Not to mention the convenience of the Subway within walking distance..... Definitely worth it

Love this stadium. Located in the gorgeous, historical Forest Hills, this is both large but somehow intimate venue that’s hosted a range of artists, from the legends like the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Cher to the lesser-known new-comers. Last time I was there I saw a British band, Jungles, and it was fantastic. I don’t dance and I danced. Looking forward to attending more events.

Nice outdoor venue. We were there to see Rock the Bells 50 years of Hip Hop. We have seen several other bands at this venue. All shows are rain or shine. There is no shade at your seats so it can get hot. Lots a vendors that serve food and drinks. The venue is cash less and the food and drink options are expensive. Easy to get to by public transportation.

  • Dan Cea

Great venue to see a concert. There are no bad seats. I've seen a lot of concerts here the past few years and it's always been a great experience. My only complaint is in the upper seats there is no back support. They are all benches. Which for the festivals, has been a bit tough. As they get more and more big names that should consider upgrading.

  • Alexander Grammer

This was my first time at Forest Hills Stadium where I saw Rock the Bells. The space outside the stadium was cool with all of the vendors and activities set up. There were ample restrooms and the views of the stage from anywhere on the floor were good, but I can't speak on the stadium seating. I would definitely check out another show there.

  • Nina Garcia

Wear your most comfortable shoes because you will be walking up a mountain. Dont drink because you will have to walk even further for a hole to urinate in. I mean it. They have portable potties. Other than that the shows have been great. Be careful where you choose your seats-- a huge tower might obstruct your view

DMB Summer Tour 2023 - I‘ve seen DMB quite a few times and this was easily the best venue I’ve been to for a summer concert. Hip surroundings, not a bad seat in the house, and historic venue from the early days of the US Open. If one of your favorite artists has a gig here, you’d be silly not to grab a ticket.

  • Yesenia Santiago-Persad

Great venue for concerts but the top seats are benches so prepare yourself your back may start hurting. Parking is tough because it's permit, residential and meter parking only unless you park in a lot. Drinks and food are pricey. I recommend you eat beforehand.

  • naren dhyani

I like that it is not as huge as msg or the other big venues. Experience is intimate compared to those. The sound system is amazing, and the bowl seats are worth it. It wouldn't degrade your experience at all especially the ones facing the stage directly.

  • John Warren

One of the COOLEST concert venues I’ve ever been to. So cool to be in the open air and see the sunrise behind the stadium. Only complain is I wish they had the sound a little louder - but understandable for being smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood.

  • Nicolas Ramacciato

Went to see Arctic Monkeys in September. Great food and drink options. There isn’t really a bad seat in the entire place. My only gripe is the limited exit staircases if you’re in the seated area, way too many people trying to get down safely.

  • Ham Taylor

Saw Queens of the Stone Age for my first time at Forest Hills Stadium. It's a very cool place to explore. The place is packed with history and just has a really cool vibe to it. There's a ton of different food options and places scattered

  • Ronald Wilson (Bronxvinylfunk, on IG)

Rock the bells was a phenomenal event at the original Tennis Stadium in Forest Hills Queens. My only complaint was a little tiff I almost had with a fellow patron. He asked if him and his lady could sit where I was sitting near the aisle.

  • Jerry LaMadrid

Great venue, but don't drive in!! You won't find parking at or near the stadium. Other than that, it has great sound and even the furthest seats have a great view. All events end at 10pm promptly, so don't expect Springsteen type encores

  • Jixi Fox

Went as a music venue to enjoy the Rock The Bells concert. Has a lot of space and height. Bathrooms are located well. The staff was friendly, just always remember to screenshot your ticket, via they can’t remember your face, as the venue

  • angel jackson

The bleachers are NOT the most comfortable to watch a show. Takes its toll on your back. We saw the Smile and the sound was not that great. We were at the 601 section and the view was not bad.

  • Torea Lanett

This was my first visit to Forest Hills Stadium. I was very impressed with the security, vendors and the event. Enjoyed the Rock the Bells Festival which celebrated 50 years of Hip Hop.

  • Richard Emanuel

This was a hidden gem... secluded inside an affluent private community in Queens. This place was surprisingly good... did Rock the Bells festival and had fun. Parking sucks though

  • Kiera Fox-Turney

Very cool venue. Some bleachers seating, some chair backs, and general admission ok a tennis court. Very fun. Some obstructed view with the lighting poles...manageable!

  • Mayra Cornier

After living in Forest Hills for more than 20 years, I finally went to FH stadium. I had a great time. Friendly vendors and many food options. Prices were as expected.

  • Frank

What an amazing experience and stadium. This was my 1st time and definitely not my last. Just wow. Blown away with everything. Clean compared to many events spaces.

  • Djamel Eddine LDB

I was at cigarette after sex concert, and it was amazing, well organised, a nice crowd and most importantly great quality of sound. Love the band and the place.

  • George K

Great venue, sound was excellent and the staff were lovely. The price to get a drink is absolutely scandalous though - I paid 17.97 for a can of bud light!

  • Vanita Bentley

It was my first time there. I went to the Rock the Bells concert. My only problem is that almost everything in the stadium was closed after the concert.

  • Andy Furkins

Went to see Arctic Monkeys & Fontaines D.C. - Great venue great sound and easy to get to from Midtown Manhattan. It looked good on the dancefloor!

  • Chris P

Amazing venue!!! Even though it’s a stadium it has an intimate feel.. drinks were in the pricey side though … $28 for a vodka redbull …

  • Marla Roseman

Great show, terrific local food options. Easy to find seats. It happened to be a really cool crowd. I know they have special VIP packages

  • Vicky Cianci

What a fantastic place! You won't believe the amazing view you get from any seat. And guess what? The sound quality is top-notch as well!

  • Brian Spaun

We had a great show with the New York Pops on the Jason Mraz tour. Thanks for being a fantastic audience! B.Spaun- tech for Jason Mraz
