After having being left with a bit of a shabby plaster job, already being quite sceptical. We decided to hire a painter decorator to try and see what could be done, Levi contacted us through my builder, whilst giving the quote, he confidently explained that this was not the worst plaster job he had seen and he was confident he could get it looking to a decent standard, we agreed on a price and he started the next week. When Levi and his partner, Emma arrived to start the work, the vibe was good and myself, and my husband seemed very confident we would be left with a good paint job and a good experience from start to finish. A few days into the job, Levi started complaining about how bad the walls were how much sanding he has to do and how much prep work needs to be done, this we feel was quite obvious when he came to quote the work and take the job, we were very fair to Levi we didn’t breathe down his neck, we didn’t ask him where he was going every time he left the house and we paid every time he asked for a bit of cash, once the job was completed, there were a few things we were very unhappy with..before Levi and his partner started the job. I explained to them I did not want any paint sprayed on my kitchen or countertops, they advised me as painter decorators they make sure all surfaces would be covered before they spray, sadly this was not the case, my black matt kitchen cupboards to this day have still got spray paint on, my quartz worktop had to be cleaned professionally due to the overspray and bits of filler, my utility room floor has also had to be professionally cleaned as he obviously didn’t cover the tiles before spraying of course leaving a lot of overspray on the floor, my black bifold doors also had to be professionally cleaned due to the amount of overspray on the frame. Once the job in the house was completed, we noticed a few imperfections which he said he would come back to complete, he did come back promptly to begin with to correct what had gone wrong however, noticing a few more things we contacted him again to arrange a date for him to come back, on one occasion when I sat in waiting for him, he did not turn up, nor did he have the courtesy to just send a message to say he was not going to make it. I had text him, i had called him a number of times and still no response until very late in the evening of that day. He finally came back then said he would come back again to sand down and paint a big patch of filler that he had missed whilst doing the paint originally, this, however, was back in June, he phoned the day before and said he had Covid, so I asked him to contact me once he was over it and I am still waiting. As a person Levi is a decent guy, he gives the charm, the confidence and everything you would expect to find in a painter decorator, but once he starts the job, it’s a completely different story,we paid over £4000 in total to get the house looking in some sort of decent state, but are having to correct some of his work, or get it re done..During the original paint job there was a lot of “just call me back if this needs patching up” “call me back if that needs patching up, I’ll be happy to do it” “ I understand when you’re moving things in the walls get scuffed etc I’ll be happy to come back to sort it out, don’t worry about it” yet when he came back to redo woodwork etc that he originally said he would come back and do we had to re pay for the job to be done all over again. Once again, we did not dispute the price, nor did we argue. We just paid him what he needed to be paid and let him get on with it. Sorry Levi, but we won’t be recommending you to anyone. We feel you’ve taken the piss out of us because we paid you what you asked for without arguing and probably were too nice to you, despite you asking me if i was a drug dealer and if thats why we were paying with cash. Your communication needs a lot of work and as customers we were left disappointed with your attitude towards the end and definitely the communication or shall I say lack of.

Have used Levi and Four Oaks for quite a few jobs now and have always been happy with the work carried out. Most recent job was to mist coat and paint a full loft conversion, hall, stairs and landing as well as prepping and painting a large bedroom. All was arranged easily, quote agreed quickly, advice was given by Levi about the best way to do things and he knows his trade well. He sourced the paint and it was excellent quality. As with every job Levi has done for us, the work was completed to a really high standard, on schedule and on budget. Any costs that may vary are discussed prior to starting work so no misunderstandings can occur during the job. We were going on holiday for a week so left our keys with Levi to allow him and the team to come and go as they needed to, never an issue with trust as Levi has always been very reliable. The period we were away for was when temperatures in the UK we’re hitting 38° but to ensure the job was finished when we got home, Levi and the team worked in the early hours to make use of the lower temperatures. Arrived back, all work completed to as high a standard as we’ve come to expect from Levi. Is the Levi the cheapest? I wouldn’t know, I don’t ask anybody else because I know his work is excellent, he’s a great bloke who is great to deal with and the price I’ve always paid him has been great value for the job done. Would highly recommend without hesitation.

Appauling! Called on the 1st February to arrange for the stairs and landing to be painted. Agreed on either the 11th or 12th February at 8am in the morning and would let me know nearer the time which day. When it got to the evening of the 10th having not heard I messaged to say which day would it be? I received a response on the 11th to say it will be tomorrow morning I.e the 12th. I prepped all the area and got up ready for 8am. I realised they had not even asked for my address so sent a message, I got no response. It is now 2pm and I still have heard nothing having now sent another message. If you do not intend on doing a job tell me and I would have organised for someone else nearly two weeks ago, I have new carpet arriving Tuesday and now it is too short notice to get the decorating done before that. I do all my own decorating normally but the ceiling on the stairs is too high to reach for myself. Wasted my time I find it incredibly rude. Do not use these wasters!

We had Levi and his partner paint 3 separate areas of our house today, one of which was our living room wall which is 2 stories high. Levi and his partner did an excellent job with not only the quality of paint work, but also matching our desired colour. There were 2 walls which required sanding down and prepping for paint, which were also complete to a high quality. Also, we initially booked in for late 2023, but due to personal reasons we had to push back to Jan 2024, to which Levi was more than accommodating with! Thank you both!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Highly recommended and will only be using Four Oaks Painting and Decorating in the future. (I've already booked in with them again!) Professional, polite and completed quality work throughout. Good communication and nothing was too much hassle. I am in love with my new living space and am so excited to add the homely bits now! We had Levi and the team in to decorate our kitchen dinner and one bedroom. We couldn't be happier with the end result and couldn't recommend them more, always on time fantastic finish friendly and always tidy. The house through up some surprises along the way but nothing was to much trouble to make sure the job was just how we wanted it. Next time we need any decorating doing I'll be calling them!
