Negligent. Residential construction crews allowed to break local laws and EPA guidelines for months on end. Construction crews spewing obscenities while you're still in bed half asleep; crews working any day of the week and any hour of the day they please. Involve the Ombudsman and the council won't listen to them either. Escalate it to the CEO and you get no response. - - - - - EDIT - SIX MONTHS IN, and I'm being told that the situation is being "addressed" and that it is "an ongoing investigation". No transprancy. An anachronistic council. My "cooperation and assistance" are "appreciated". Only I'm not trying to help the council! You can spend hours across months filling in detailed logs, taking and submitting "evidence", signing statements with the understanding that false evidence risks a charge of purgery - - and if the builder says it never happened the Council just leaves it. The EPA is explicit on its website that noise pollution is damaging to mental health. That's *why* it lists ordinary working hours for residential construction. This council has no clue about their responsibilities to protect against noise pollution and harm to mental health. It's all just a game to them - an "investigation" that they play with. - - - - - EDIT - NINE MONTHS IN, and the Council has closed their enquiry and within 2 days I have jarring noise at 7:15am on a Saturday morning. Not to mention the ongoing obscenity of the sort I can't write in a google review. This council has no efficacy in their actions -- but I don't think they *want* to get anything done. Seriously, they want to do nothing about environmental pollution!! And too bad if you don't have top-notch recording equipment - you won't be able to provide the "evidence" this council *says* they need. These are discriminatory processes - and even the CEO doesn't care when told that their processes are discriminatory. The Council's whole goal is to ensure they need take no action. - - - - EDIT - ELEVEN MONTHS IN, and there's welders angle grinding and hammering metal outside of EPA hours on two scuccessive Saturdays, one Saturday at 7:45am. And the Council says fill in more paperwork and record the noise. Because they don't know what angle-grinders sound like, presumably. And how many logs do they need? It doesn't really matter how many, since they have no intention of doing anything about it anyway. There's just nothing good to say about these people, sitting in their offices while construction crews do whatever they please. - - - - EDIT - this has been going OVER EIGHTEEN MONTHS - and here's what the council has achieved: now there's an excavator out there on the construction site on a Sunday morning, along with some sort of tool for bore-ing that makes a noise like dull jack hammer. Well done council. You've acheived nothing. Sheer negligence. Utterly, utterly reprehensible. I can't possibly express how poor this council's actions are.

The parking officer of the Frankston city council are very ambitious these days. On Saturday, August 26, 2017 I parked my vehicle at the Dan Murphy public car park not realising that not one but both parking machines were out of action. But this didn't stop the Frankston city council parking officer from taking advantage of the situation. It's disappointing to know that even the council will take advantage of their own residence and customers, knowing full well that both parking ticket machines were out of action.Fortunately Care park have come to the realisation and have decided to reimburse my $79 opportunity fine. This is message to the Frankston parking officer, if you want people to respect you I guess you need to start with stop taking advantage of asituation where you knew both parking ticket machines were not operating but you still decided to hand out fines.I hope you have a very nice Christmas. The Frankston city council are extremely high in the cost of rates I don't know why the rates are so expensive compare to the services offered in return I think it's time we need to change the strategy of the Frankston council What idiot in the Frankston council decided not to have a annual hard rubbish collection I see so much rubbish dumped within the Frankston area I think it’s time to sack the Frankston council CEO and place someone with a degree in common sense.

Not even answering phones today, refused to do anything about a noisy vehicle and a tipper truck idling for 15 minutes 5 - 6 days a week at 5am. Told to fill a Nuisance Log for 2 weeks. However for 6 years this has happened but nobody there cares. I am 75 years old and do not want to to hear that in every room of my house. Very cruel they did not help me one iota. They refused to help me, and made many mistakes for years due to verifying their own rules and permits on tip trucks parking on private properties. There was no permit issues. Told me the car was not modified, it is too loud 65 Db in all of my house from 5am 6 days a week. Promised callbacks, they never happened. and more. Also they doctor reports in favor of the perpetrator, EPA stated soil dumping in street drains I have photo's but FCC doctored my report again.

Disgusting thieves working at this council. Months ago, A council woman approached my front door and knocked for about 5-10mins straight for an issue she wanted to raise with us then sees my dog inside, looks him up and finds out he is unregistered (I didn’t even know you had to register your dog) so she sent fines, court order and they stuck to this for months like maniacs to the point where 2 council women and 2 police officers showed up with a warrant at my new address today to take my dog! We are collecting him from a pound and paying $400 plus registration in order for him to be released to us! What a criminal organisation this council is. They are criminal. So they have to right to take my dog that I paid for to sell him off or put down just because of $61 registration??! how cruel

I got a very unnecessary no standing zone parking ticket back in December and the sign was no where to be seen and was more then 20 meters away where my ute was parked. Wasn't in anyone's way, I park neatly, and not blocking any driveways. $165 originally but went up to nearly $200 overdue because I payed it through fines vic and somehow it still went through with the obligation number. They need to improve their system and be more specific next time on where to pay. Only good thing here I can say is they have good customer support thats about it. At the end of the day I should of testified this ticket in court but it's just not worth my time and its a lesson learned to never park at frankston bayside ever again.

Highly appreciating the possibility of the community meeting today with Melissa Horne, Minister for Road Safety for Victoria, hosted by FCC. Andrew Peterson (Safer Communities Engagement Officer) and James from Communication team were really helpful. Hope to see some options for public opinion collection in short and useful format. Please let the broader community decide on the essential future cycling routes or hazard crossings and littering by using some modern technology on your website, instead of writing a long letters. Let us make the city for cyclists, healthy and environmentally friendly, let our kids ride to local schools. Let us make further actions, not just talking. Thank you for the invitation.

Provided information Surveyors for commercial building code enquiries presented, I had to visit the office and also call 3 times to eventually find the information I was seeking that was time sensitive based on a property purchase. I was told I would have my call returned and did not recieve any calls 48 hours later and I was not provided the information directly by the building department whom have this information on hand, but I was able to source what I needed by the information provided, via a 3rd party. I was expecting building department to provide this information directly to save me considerable time and hassle as I believe this is part of their service requirements to the public.

Frankston Council don't care about residents, only businesses, especially their own. Complaints about PARCfit disturbing the peace and taking over Frankston beach have been ignored. I've been handballed to several different people regarding this. Finally, I decide to contact CEO but he won't contact back so it really lets you know where you stand with these people. They don't put Frankston residents first. Looks like I'll have to go through the Ombudsman to get anywhere. Sad that it's taking such a long time (nearly 2 years) to deal with something that should be easy to deal with. PARCfit don't need to be at the beach. They have a gym that you built for them Frankston Council.

Seems to do the bare minimum for it's residents, example parks go ages not being maintained, after recent storms zero cleanup done and no support for residents with lots of green waste from fallen trees/branches just have to sort out youself and branches that fell on council land still waiting for cleanup. Other councils do free green waste day at tips for example. Simple things like the food scraps at home system the degradable bags don't fit the bin properly so suggests poor management of projects internally. Interesting that they seem to manage to get their rate notices out on time and reliably every time though....

  • Gillian Nunn

Very disappointed in council....emailed on Sunday night, 2 photos of a bag of medical waste which included, drips, full of blood, syringes, gauze full of blood, and IV lines with old blood in them in a plastic shopping bag, dumped in an alley way, next to a playground. Rang Tuesday morning to ask if they had seen the email & to let them know what I had emailed and could they look at it ASAP. Was told how disgusting and dangerous it was and we will be on it straight away and guess what, tonight Tuesday evening......it is still there!!! Really thought this would be a number one priority......but I guess that's just me??

Really good services and a good system to report issues. Reported several stormwater issues in the footpath/street outside our house, and communication was good until it was fixed. Great Libaries in convenient locations. Seaford doesn't have a great selection of books but the reservation system is easy and you can pick up when it suits you, locally. Recently was charged a dishonour fee by Council as my bank account didn't have enough funds for my rates direct debit. I emailed them to request it to be reviewed and they offered to waive the fee due to our good payment record in the past. Thanks City of Frankston!

It’s a real shame that the Frankston council workers are very productive and great at their job, only to be let down by the upper management. The Frankston council rates are the highest and don’t even provide the annual hard rubbish collection. Perhaps it’s time to remove the upper management and put someone in charge that serves its overcharged rates payers. A message to the upper management pull your finger out and do something for your rate payers and stop wasting our money on stupid items as 30k seats Rang council 8 different times to empty my rubbish bin Really good management team

  • S D

As a rate payer, I want to congratulate Frankston City Council for their exceptional customer service - from quickly taking my calls on a Monday, to the very friendly and personable girls on reception (Caitlin was one of them), to the drainage team attending to my non-urgent job request within hours and to Sam the drainage supervisor then providing me an update immediately afterwards! Credit to them all, particularly in the current climate! Believe me, I didn’t think I’d be singing the praises of a council, but this one deserves it, unlike others.

  • jason Hodson

Every time my family parks their cars on our street with parking permit clearly displayed we receive a fine. Then we have to go through the motion of apparently proving ourselves innocent and wasting hours of work time to rectify a problem not of our making. The council then says they can do nothing about it. I will be withholding rate payments(which have increased against a dropping house price market?)until this latest one is rectified. I should also penalise for lost work time that I have to invest.

  • Lucy

called council 4 times also emailed which they never responded - requesting my foreshore parking stickers to be sent to a different postal address. 3 calls different people giving me different answers and didnt bother looking into my account... until 4th time lucky a lady named Selina was very nice and helpful she looked into it for me and did help me to resolve the matter in 2 days time. Very good customer service from Selina but inconsistent as others there didnt seem to care...

  • Barry Hibble

Buyer beware The Frankston Council has taken Buyer Beware to a new level and made it more perilous to purchase a newly built property in their domain. You can no longer rely on the section 32-vendor statement to provide critical information such as a copy of the building permits with associated critical information. The council advises prospective buyers that they are not entitled to a copy of the building Permits and demands fees up to $140.00 for copies of unspecified documents.

  • John Burnell

I am a 74 year old pensioner. I just phoned the council reception and spoke to kaitland. Told her that I had just had a large limb break off from a big tree in my front yard blocking my house entrance. Enquired if the council could assist me by any means. Kaitland explained that no , no help available to me. As I was feeling a bit concerned, I said thanks. Kaitland finished off by saying Have A Great Day. I ask who employed these uneducated people.

  • Alan Inchley

Website clearly states that the Council Offices close at 5pm. I ring at 4:05pm and am told they are closed and I need to ring in office hours. Press 1 for after hours assistance. The fellow there has no way of contacting the council and only deals in emergencies. Got in the car and drove down to the Council Offices. Also closed, but no note on the door explaining why. Don’t get caught doing actual work at the council - a rare occurrence.

  • Glen Tolhurst

You pay $2200 in rates basically for rubbish removal. Today I wanted direct debit set up to pay those rates but Frankston Council is so behind the times they can't do this over the phone like every other organisation i deal with. Of course it is more cost effective for them to have me do that over the internet but they need to realise they are the ones providing the service and should back this up.

  • CH MW

Rubbish collection is a joke. 99 out of a 100 bins that are “overfull” get emptied, including my neighbours. But when our is overfull we get a sticker and our bin not collected. Then call the customer device and speak to extremely rude people who if you point out your neighbour’s bin was emptied tell you it isn’t about theirs it is about yours. Yeah no joke BUT BE CONSISTENT not rude. Wow.

  • Bonnie P

Absolute filthy grubs. Issues parking fines but fails to send them so you have no knowledge of the fine until letters from civic compliance arrive. Trying to speak with local laws is akin to trying to speak with comatose neanderthals. Thanks to Scott, your rude obnoxious behaviour on the phone today was astonishing. We look forward to seeing you in court.

  • Danny Barnett

i feel this council only cares about money. this council definitely Favours dogs because it shows on registration papers or registration renewal papers because it says if a dog should be collected by council, office will to deliver the dog home if the dog is registered and no previous escape history. definitely unfair on good cats and good cat owns.

  • Jay Schutt

Building Dept get a fat thumbs down from me. I applied for shed to be built on new slab in the corner of my block (with 2 neighbouring sheds) and was told to survey the boundaries, Geo sample the slab and provide an environmental impact on surrounding trees. Opportunistic money hungry scabs! Oh, and there used to be a shed already there...

  • Krylo22

Can't contact them at 11:30am, they're supposed to open at 8:30am. It's a weekday and not a public holiday... Edit: I'm almost certain the time I contacted was not in the Christmas period. If you're not open, please change your online communications to reflect that so people don't end up wasting time trying to contact you.

  • slice of life

Oliver's Hill BOAT RAMP IS JUST THAT . PARKING FOR CARS WITH TRAILERS ITS CLEARLY MARKED YET ON SUNDAY THE 12 /12/21 EVERY MAN AND HIS DOG WAS PARKING IN THE BOAT TRAILER PARKING WITH NO TRAILERS . • chuan kao

had a wonderful experience on my first visit to frankston council nothing was to difficult for reception staff to make my move to frankston find my way through changeing my dog registration, bin collection days printing of previous rate notices and many other questions I had all in all fantastic

  • Gojko Banija

Arrogant thieves. Sent me a parking fine (stopped in a no stopping area). When i requested evidence, as i know i didn't do it, they just said our records show that you did, but no evidence provided. If i only had time, I'd take them to court and demolish the whole council gang over there.

  • Martin Bankier

95% of the roads in the Frankston Council area are rough. On some roads you can't drive straight because there are potholes in the road and some roads are rough all the way across the road. So fix the roads in the Frankston Council area because it is getting bad

  • Gareth Evans

Rude and incompetent council. Never respond to any emails I've sent in 10 years yet feel privileged enough to give themselves pay rises through Covid All they've successfully manage to do is turn the municipality into a drug effected wasteland ➰️ …

  • Kyle Gascoigne

The worst council going round, incompetent planning staff thatvdont even know their own regulations. Over 1 year to get a planning permit for a single dwelling that already had a building envelope. If only we could use a different council.

  • Pringle Cat

Welcome to Frankston. This is the standard council keeps it's streets to. Absolutlely shameful disgrace when they have already investigated the problem. How many weeks is it necessary to let rubbish blow down the street and block drains.

  • Jack

Frankston city council have always answered my requests, no issues with contacting them to have issues fixed. There shouldn’t be so many people providing the 1 star reviews when half the time the issue isn’t even council responsibility.

  • A L

Disgraceful & incompetent. Service is appalling. They charge residents & property owners fees left right & centre. Continually hold up development applications instead of supporting Government’s objective to create affordable housing.

  • Phebe Zhao

Unbelievable high rates(more than $2600) for such a low property price! Council only knows how to waste our money! Spent hundreds million dollars to remove a statue. How stupid are they! What did they do with our money?!!!!!!

  • G Zundža

Useless , we applied for liquor licence permit and employee in charge just replied that he is not there to assist us and that we have to work it out ourselves. Normally if you can't do your job, you have to be sacked.

  • Leigh Panebianco

Great on line services. Have always had my issues resolved via phone also. Snap-Send-Solve is awesome! All my requests (graffiti and dumped rubbish) have bee taken care of by the next week. Thanks

  • the_different_dad

Worst council in Australia. They are happy to bend the rules if it means more rates for them. But If something doesn't make them more money. Forget about any compromise on anything.

  • Luke Laricchia

They won't even bother giving a neighbor a warning due to cutting trees down in his backyard and as power tools are allowed from 7am aparently and his within his right to use them

  • Kerry Schoormans

Sharon from Frankston Council is absolutely amazing at answering my questions and pointing me in the right direction. Thank you so much for amazing customer service

  • Amy Woods

Rang the council to report street lights that are out. Was told it was my responsibility to contact the power company. Utterly ridiculous and I'm very unimpressed.

  • Stephen James Black

I applied for a busking permit here a while back, the process was pretty straightforward. the staff were friendly and were able to answer any questions i had.

  • M C

Very bad service. You paid for the expensive council fee but in return is you got these staff unreasonable fine you and they used their power to penalty you.

  • Dave M

We've had two dealings with the council recently, one with the ranger and one with local planning. Both were fantastic. Easy to deal with and great service.

  • Brett clark Clark

Frankston city council abused my elderly mum when she wondered in there lost. They are not friendly and in have moved as a result of there harassment

  • RELAXING MUSIC

We called and the lady answering was very nice. Next lady we talked to get information reg a property, service was great as well. Great service

  • azztek

Communication poor, resolving issues poor, most expensive rates in VIC, don’t look after local business… all about the $ with this council.

  • Matthew Vincent

Calling for 1 week to have hard waste removed after it was dumped in front of my house. Now I might get a fine because of it. Not happy!!

  • Jane Sew

Helpful if you wait long enough for them to answer their phone and persist in solving a problem then get to speak to the right person..

  • Benjamin Odewahn

Fast, friendly & easy to deal with. Have called them about several different topics and they have always gotten back to us quickly.

  • julius zuben

I think the foreshore 4 hour paid parking sign is probably illegal as as it doesn't state times which is paid only 9 am to 6 pm

  • Peter Christopher

Amazing that you can ring both Frankston and Langwarrin shop, the phones ring for a while then disconnect, pretty ordinary.

  • Dianne Mckay

Bad service put in complaint at 1.06pm heard nothing rang again at 4.30pm they had no record of my complaint. Hi …

  • Andrew Liya

I agree with the previous review of Frankston council increasing their rates quite heavily. Its just a money grab.

  • Sharon

Our Rates Pay your wages I have disabilities on a Pension I'd like to know what you actually do ?

  • Min

You have to call multiple times to get even the simplest of issues resolved, highly frustrating.

  • Denis Frolow

They don't care about people's needs. Perhaps they just play solitaire at work

  • steven Philip

Worst council ever. Can we transfer to the Mornington peninsula shire banner?

  • Ali Demirci

Small business, don't even bother; if I could I would give them 0 stars

  • Michelle Trewartha

Never had a problem, in fact the council has always been very helpful.

  • Mason Jam

I'm ok with your service but your direct debit process is a disaster.

  • Steve R

The best council I have ever lived in or contacted.

  • Matt Wacker

Just so helpful I could not believe it Thanks
