Came by French Truck while waiting for brunch reservations down the street. Really chill and relaxed coffee shop that met our needs. Here some thoughts Environment Really nice bright place in the french quarters Plenty of seating for catching up with friends or reading a good book or people watching in the wuarters. Service The service was good - nothing out of the ordinary. Operates like your normal coffee shop. You order at the counter, they make your order and call your name when it's ready. The baristas were friendly and accomodating. Food and Drinks I ordered a mocha that got the job done. It was made pretty well. Overall This was a great place to stop by while we were waiting to go to brunch. Great space to catch up with a friend and enjoy a good coffee. Plenty of space and was an pleasant calm to what can be a busy french quarter. Will have no problem stopping by this place again.

A lovely coffee shop with even lovelier customer service. Friends and I were visiting NOLA prior to COVID and found French Truck Coffee after walking around for a bit. I’ll admit that I’m not a huge coffee person, however I found their coffee to be absolutely delicious. It had a great flavor and was super smooth. I was so excited by it that I wanted to buy a bag for a friend and mail it to them once I got home for their birthday. I bought a small bag and packed it up in my suitcase for my flight home a day later. However, TSA said that they wouldn’t let me take it on the plane...um okay? I emailed French Truck about it to let them know and to inform other customers that it might happen to them. They quickly responded back saying that they had never of this problem before and thought it was super odd. Without me even prompting them, they gave me a discount code to order some new coffee online! I was so pleased with how they handled it. Some of the nicest coffee and people here! A must stop at any of their locations!

Coffee is pretty good, only reason for giving 4 vs 5 stars was due to logistics. I wanted an iced latte but they only come in 1 size, Large, and I didn’t want or need that much coffee at this time. They do however have smaller cups (medium/ regular sized) but only offer certain coffees, not sure why. Also as far as milk options, there is Whole milk, Almond and Oat, glad they have those options but a bit disappointed there was no Soy or Lower fat milk (like 2% or skim). I ended up getting a cappuccino with whole milk and it was pretty good. They also have flavors that you can add to your coffee so that’s always a plus. The spot can be a bit loud (there was a large group there) not sure if that’s usually the case, but it definitely wasn’t a quiet coffee spot, at least not when I went.

Ethiopian coffee, when medium roasted and brewed properly, has a distinct flavour of chocolate. So that was my choice: "pour over, Ethiopean". In 15 minutes or so, I grabbed my cup and was disappointed: unimpressive acid taste spread in my mouth. Was it Brasilian or dark roasted, I hardly knew. A delicious chocolate croissant almost eliminated the feeling of utter disappointment: 3 for coffee and 4 stars for the pastry. I doubt, I'll give another try to pour over coffee there. Perhaps, americano or cafe au lait, if I dare. Except for the surprisingly long wait time, the service was excellent.

I made the right decision by stopping at the almost always reliable Starbucks. My wife wanted to be fancy because we were in New Orleans, so she stopped here. She ordered the pumpkin praline iced coffee, and absolutely hated it. It was like a cup of milk. She said, she couldn’t even taste the espresso. It didn’t have much flavor at all, there just wasn’t an underlying espresso taste to it. The service was good, you just walk up and order and they call your name out. The atmosphere was nice, lots of sun light in the middle of muggy down town New Orleans. I wouldn’t come back here.

I'm really pleased with French Truck's approach to specialty and single origin coffee. Where I'm from in the Pacific Northwest, all the specialty shops are in a battle for who can serve the lightest roast, focusing entirely on the maximization of origin characteristics at the expense of roast imparted flavors. This spot is doing something very different. Their medium roast is a true medium roast, balancing origin and roast flavors expertly. The result is a delicious cup of coffee in a pleasant, bright atmosphere.

Cute spot! I preemptively scoped out their 10th anniversary cup and made it a point to come snag one. I enjoyed the atmosphere - many Britney Spears songs, which is always welcome. Service was good, and while I’m glad I tried the New Orleans iced coffee, I think I’d like to try some of their cold brew next time. My only major critique is the place was a bit unkempt, with dirty tables and pieces of trash littering the floor. Overall, a fun little spot that I think would appeal to most.

So happy I got in this am before work lol. The staff is so polite you’d think you are in Disney World. Very popular coffee spot & the line moves quick! I ordered the Oji Iced Coffee, Ham & Cheese Croissant, a Chocolate Croissant & couldn’t pass up an opportunity for a little swag so I grabbed a pin for my back pack. In & out in 5 minutes just in time to enjoy a calm walk to work so I really appreciate y’all for keeping my morning caffeinated & pleasant! #FrenchTruckPerfecrion #CoffeeLoverOasis

Although I explained what I wanted they decided to disregards completely what I said and gave me what they wanted. I returned immediately returned that watery shameless americano, and settled for a double espresso that tasted still quite weak. I stayed there for a bit and left. I have to say that I had a double espresso using their coffee at some other location and was absolutely remarkable. Also I love the logo, but the people that actually did not take care of me last Saturday determine the result for me.

A pour over with a cup of ice is my standard go-to, added a chocolate croissant (which was awesome). The Peru roast was recommend by one of the three, friendly baristas; as a long time fan of darker roasts I have found myself at the crossroads of breaking the habit. Much like steaks, true flavor profiles take the stage at light-medium coffee roasts, not to mention higher caffeine levels. I will definitely be coming back tomorrow to try another roast, however a cornerstone of a true coffee roaster is the attention to detail which is something these guys have.

This is a great spot to stop in for either a quick hit of caffeine on the run or to sit and enjoy the street views and people watching. Smaller place but just comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The staff is great, approachable and helpful in providing info on the various drink options. On top of all that, they make really good coffee. I am in New Orleans for a week vacation and after the our first stop here on our first day we have made the walk everyday to come get coffee from here. I highly recommend the French Truck if you are in New Orleans.

  • Anna Suki

Such a cute, modern looking coffee shop! From the decors, merch to the coffee, I loved everything about French Truck. The friendly staff greeted us and even told us to take some stickers home knowing that we were visiting New Orleans. What a warm welcome. The coffee tasted amazing! It was 35 degrees outdoor and we really needed an ice coffee and FT’s really hit the spot. For any coffee connoisseurs out there, I highly recommend this spot. They got some good coffee here.

Was thinking of 4 stars, but remembered how quick the service was and just couldn’t. The latte was great too! With a nice creaminess to the latte and no lingering after taste. I think it could have been a bit stronger, but nonetheless still a great brew! Love the logo with the yellow truck and almost tempted to buy some merch, just because! Unfortunate I only got to go once in my 5 days in nola, but still so glad I did! Great job overall! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!

We had the Cafe Au Lait and honestly it wasn't up to the mark. It was a bit too watered down and tasted extremely milky ( I know that Cafe Au Lait means milk coffee, but this one was devoid of coffee). So if you one of those folks who love coffee without too much milk, or maybe just like black coffee, then don't go for the Cafe Au Lait. The ambience of the place was good and so were the staff. Points for that but not for the coffee.

Got the new orleans iced coffee and paid the upcharge for light ice. It was clearly not light ice, I had half a mug of ice, after some have melted and we have eaten along the way. The flavor is also a bit lacking (the only other place we tried was Cafe Beignet and it was so much better). After spending $6+ cup of coffee, every sip felt like disappointment.

I wanted only a muffin. I paid and was asked to wait in the back of the line. The muffin was 18” away from the person who took my order, but it could not be retrieved and handed over. I understand the misunderstood bohemian types need a place to work that expresses their free spirit or whatever, but ffs just hand me the muffin!

The staff were very friendly, I appreciate good customer service when I get it. I got an iced americano, half decaf + 1 pump caramel syrup and added my own half and half + stevia I usually get sugar free flavors, unfortunately they don’t have any (which is the reason for one missing star) otherwise it was a great coffee and cute shop! Plenty of seating inside & its clean

Very cool, little place. I purchased the Oji (Japanese-style) Iced coffee and it was perfect. Smooth flavor and perfect for a warm day walking around the French Quarter. Edit: After a bit of research, found out that French Truck Coffee is a local chain. That doesn’t diminish how good it was. Plus, some other local places, like the Ruby Slipper Cafe, use their coffee. It’s great to see local businesses supporting one another.

  • Stephanie Polakowski

You have to stop here! I recommend the iced NOLA coffee: it’s shaken, just the perfect touch of sweetness and cream with delicious rich coffee. So refreshing on a hot steamy day in the French Quarter.

This is the highest quality coffee in the quarter! When the doors are open this place has a great energy. When the doors are closed, it feels cozy. NOTE: no outlets for charging computers, but they do have great Wi-Fi. Try a pourover, but the drip coffee is really good on its own. Also they serve Richards Rainwater.

Stopped in mid-afternoon on a weekday, so it wasn’t crowded at all. The location is clean, the baristas friendly and knowledgeable, and the coffee delicious. If you’re looking for a different iced coffee option in the summer heat, the Oji (Japanese style slow-drip) has complex flavor with floral notes. The New Orleans Iced coffee has bold nutty chicory flavor, as you’d expect.

  • Sarah Mathre

I had their New Orleans Iced Coffee with almond milk. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cashier helped me to pick out the coffee. I was pleasantly surprised that they had non-dairy milk options, which were almond milk and oat milk. The atmosphere was interesting and well decorated. I’m not sure that it’s easily accessible by car though cuz they don’t have a parking lot.

  • Chelsea Hopkins

Came here to beat the heat for a bit and recharge while on the more western side of the French Quarter. Very friendly staff and good atmosphere. I could camp here and read a bit during the hottest part of the day. Great service and friendly staff. I had an everything bagel, a lemonade iced tea, and iced latte - all great!

Nice atmosphere and helpful staff. I had some time to kill so I didn't get it to go. Seating in the cafe you have a great view of the world move by. I like just plan black coffee, espresso and pour over. I purchased the large medium roast for just over $3 with tax. Very good coffee not over roasted and clean mouth feel. Next time I will try the pour over.

Fast service and friendly staff. Usually when a place has the baked goods off to the side, they are subpar....NOT here! The jalapeno sausage roll and the ham and cheese croissant were fresh, delicious, and quality made. I planned to only stop by once during my trip and ended up going for coffee and breakfast for 4 days straight!! More

Really nice coffee place with very helpful and pleasant staff. We tried their cappuccino and it was really good and very strong. The location is perfect for people strolling around French Quarters and looking for decent coffee options with some sandwiches and other stuff to eat. Would definitely visit again and recommend it to others!

We recently had the pleasure of visiting French Truck Coffee in New Orleans and were extremely impressed. The coffee was amazing, with a great variety of flavors to choose from. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was laid-back and relaxing, and the products offered were of excellent quality.

Such a charming place! Delicious coffee and baked goods. You can sit in side or get it to go. You can also place an online order if you want to run in and out. Love the decor. They have "Oji" which is an old Japanese method of brewing coffee. Amazingly delicious! Staff was also fantastic and very friendly and helpful.

This place was great. I really liked both the coffee and the chocolate chip cookie. The people were very nice and the vibe of the shop is great. Not all stuck up and stuffy like a lot of place. The young man that helped me is named Joseph and he was both kind and helpful. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Great little outpost for French truck coffee in the French Quarter. Fantastic latte - both hot and iced. Oji coffee was strong and a tough bitter. They have a decent amount of seating for the small space! Pastries looked delicious, too. Lots of options for whole beans.
