I went for the first time in November, then went back three days later to order the exact same meal because I could NOT stop thinking about how delicious it was. Everything I’ve tried since has been incredible! The staff I’ve engaged with have all been so lovely and friendly, even when they’re incredibly busy. The sweets and pastries are fantastic and it’s so fun to look at them all in the display at the counter! I love the variety of art that’s on display, and for sale!! It’s very fun to look at the pieces while enjoying your meal, it all felt creative and interesting. Lots of good conversation pieces, I really loved that aspect of the physical space itself. They also collect donations for local women’s centres (or possibly women’s shelters specifically, I can’t remember). I asked someone behind the counter about where the donations go since they didn’t have a specific location listed, and they explained that they distribute donations to several resources in the area. It’s great to see a local business taking that initiative and very cool that staff are engaged with it enough that they can answer questions and have a conversation about it, I really appreciated that. Can’t wait to go back again soon!

A little frustrated that the menu on their website isn't the same as in restaurant - different eggs benedict options and prices have increased - 17.95 for their cheapest benedict option instead of 14.95. Coffee was super hot, but food was only lukewarm when it came. Taste was ok, but nothing special. Hollandaise sauce seemed kind of flavorless unfortunately. Not badly priced with how inflations brought everything up, but for over $20 for breakfast (eggs benedict+coffee), definitely not as good as I'd expected. Friendly staff, quick service, and beautiful presentation though. On crutches for a knee injury and the setup of the location wasn't very accessible (no ramp, only stairs and kind of narrow walkways inside), which was a bit disappointing.

Everything I had was so good with good price. I had Pharaoh's Vacation and Opera cake. The plate is so filling and filled with loads of veggies! Hummus was little bit salty but it perfectly matched with eggs and garlic bread. Opera cake was beyond my expectations! I thought it would be too sweet to me but it had perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. And it was so creamy! I got raspberry cheese brownie for my kids, they loved it too. I would definitely go back again as I would love to try out crepes, croissant and more. Staff are so friendly and approachable :)

Vegetarian options
They have lots of options that do not contain meat.
Kid-friendliness
They have kids chair. I believe little kids can enjoy crepes.

Came with a friend for breakfast since she had an apt near this place. Nice little place, the food was good, I had the turkey brie crepes, I could only ate one of them it is so filling. When you arrived it says to wait to be seated but you actually seat yourself, the wait staff is so so, not that friendly. We came in the middle of the week by 830ish and by the time we left by 10am there was a line up at the door so very popular place, however, not once we felt rushed to leave. The dessert display looked great and brought a massive bread pudding and chocolate croissant. The bread pudding was moist and lots of fruits in it. The coffee was okay. Overall good experience, the crepes price was onpar with other restaurants prices.

Was there for the first time and had brunch with a friend, I ordered an omelet with bacon, ham and some veggies, and cheddar cheese, the taste was good but I could not find the ham and there was only one slice of bacon! My friend had the Mediterranean breakfast and she liked her food but she found the quantity very small. Now their baked good was a big disappointment! I had a chocolate cherry flan that tasted sour and the crust was so dry that I had to remove it by hand so I could eat it! My friend had the pear tart and it was not tasty and same dry crust! I ordered some Cinnamon buns and chocolate croissants to go, the buns were overly sweet and dry but the croissant was good!

We got to the Cafe around an hour until close, with sitting in to enjoy our drink and a dessert. When we ordered, we were not asked if we were dining in, only given our drinks and desserts in to-go containers and never offered a utensil. I asked for cutlery, then we proceeded to sit down inside, only to be made to feel like even more of a nuissance to the staff as they began to stack chairs on tables all around us. Maybe this is common practice, but making your guests feel unwelcome isn't very good customer service. Thanks for the terrible service, and we greatly appreciated being made to feel like a complete inconvenience. We will not be a waste of your time again. Cheers.

Often visit this bakery cafe as it is nearby my place. Fresh loaf of bread is awesome. Daily theme bread. Yesterday's bread sell off. Dine-in breaky and lunch good. Many dessert choices to enjoy - not too sweet and great texture fillings and crunchiness. Coffee / Tea and biscuit/pastry a must. Many street and free parking available. Super lovely place to consider for a nice light breakfast or a coffee and snack to relax.

Cute little cafe just off Corydon. There was lots of seating and parking right beside the building. I tried the Spec-taco-lar burger (bean burger) which was really good. The combination of flavors worked well. I also tried the fruit tart which was okay, but the tart shell was overcooked and hard. Definitely would come back here to grab a bite and coffee with a friend.

Turkey club was delicious and very flavourful got the mushroom garlic soup of the day as the side, didn’t have much flavour, wouldn’t get again. Eggs Benedict special was good, not a huge fan of the mint they put on top, the hash browns that come with it are bomb! Service was a little slow, had to ask a few times for coffee refills and took almost 45 minutes for the food, seemed they were short staffed. The patio was a cute little spot to enjoy our breakfast. We’ll be back.

Really amazing cute, little place off on Lilac!! Its got that cafe atmosphere but with a baked goods store vibe to it anyways the servers are so nice and helpful!! The food is really great as well! The French is good but the BELT that was served was freaking amazing! Last thing I had from there was the Easter egg tart and it was very delicious as well. The base wasnt as heavy as I thought it would be like other tarts I've had and the contents within combined to form a very delicious baked treat so definitely a place worth checking out!! Totally going to get the chicken burger next time though!

This is a real hidden gem near Corydon! I was walking around Corydon looking for a cool place to eat and was drawn here. Atmosphere is phenomenal…one of those places you see from the outside and then when you’re inside you are transported to another place. Service was spectacular! Everything looked awesome…and prices are very very reasonable. If you want to forget about life for a moment and get transported to another place, have lunch here! I’ll be back for brunch this weekend!

Found this in Google maps when looking for brunch in the River Heights area. The Frenchway is just off Corydon Ave on Lilac St. Small & relaxed atmosphere café/restaurant with it’s own bakery and seating areas. The original paintings on the wall which are for sale is a neat idea. We didn’t feel rushed…we enjoyed the cappuccino and coffee while checking the menu and chatting. Food presentation and service was spot on. They checked on us a few times and offered coffee refills. We bought cinnamon buns and macaroons from the bakery to take home; prices in the bakery are not displayed.

We visited 1,5h before closing and the kitchen was already closed - that's not a problem, though as there is still plenty of ready options. The coffee was great and the sweets all very good (the mille fouille? was awesome!), the staff really nice and the place itself is pretty cozy and peaceful with nice paintings all over the walls.

Edit. We come often and we love getting some treats. The breads are amazing . The strawberry whipped cake is so good and different tarts. The apple strudel is huge. The breakfast is amazing. Everything they serve is real food. We come back often. Probably my go to place for brekkie. This place is the perfect place to meet friends for a quick coffee and scone. Love the vibe and great service. One minus is the coffee is just OK, wish it was great.

We went out for breakfast. Two people had eggs Benedict, one had crepes, one had Pharoah, and one omelet. Everything was perfect and we all enjoyed our meals. We have several food allergies in our family and they were accommodated without issues. The dessert display case looked beautiful so we bought a few to take home and they were great too. We will definitely be back!

Great food, fast friendly service and very reasonable prices. I loved that the benedict came with mushrooms! The beer cheese soup was phenomenal. I would definitely come back just for this soup. My company said the strawberry crepes were also amazing. I've enjoyed some sandwiches from here as well and have never been disappointed with the food or service.

We come here regularly and the food is consistently delicious. I think they also have the best croissants in town. The staff is wonderful. There is something special about this place. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out!

Service was great and fast despite being very busy. Our server was lovely and the pastries are amazing. Also one of the best Benedict's I've ever had! We had the salmon one.
