I’m very annoyed and upset with the customer service we have been receiving for the past 3 weeks. They have made an error from their side and got the wrong part to my house and couldn’t fit it in. The guys that was suppose to fit it took off. And then customer service lying about how long it will take to get our part to our house. 2-3 weeks then said we will make it faster. Then they say 6 weeks but they give attitude to us on the phone as if we are in the wrong, when we are the one that paid for this product(ottobed) and we are sleeping uncomfortably because of a mistake that the delivery guys made. We deserve compensation for the time for the wait and the uncomfortable sleep we are having to endure during this time waiting. Also the lack of respect on the phone when calling up and asking for help. Even asking to forward it onto management they make it difficult. I told them they won’t be able to help as they never do so give the call to someone higher up but I never get on the phone call with them. I will be personally coming into the store to speak to the management as on the phone they show no respect or care about how we feel or how uncomfortable we are. The bed like this I be hitting the metal parts and I’ve hurt my arm, my face my leg. But that doesn’t matter a lot. All I hear is I’m sorry and that’s about it. No resolution. Even had the audacity to say we will refund the bed back and take it… so what.. I threw my old bed and mattress to now be left without a bed or mattress in this house ? I wasted 3 months for a bed that I’ve paid for then 3-4 weeks in a unfixed bed and sleeping uncomfortably and getting hurt to get just my money back ? And not have a bed at all? Compensation will make me feel better. But that they say isn’t on the table and I don’t accept that so I’ll come into the store and talk directly.

Avoid this shop at any cost. They take money but they don't deliver. I ordered over £7300 of furniture ( bed, sofa and dining chairs) in November 2022. My order number is 0391B8852. The person who dealt with the order was Shante who was friendly but as soon as a deposit was taken, there is minimal service. This shop has the worst customer service I have ever experinced in my life and I am so angry and disapointed with over promising and under delivering. Imagine my joy when I found all 3 items of furniture I was looking for in one shop (bed, sofa, dining chairs) but soon I was disappointed for waiting 6 months and still no signs of delivery except part of the dining chairs. I was told I should get all my furniture in Feb this year, ie within 12 weeks but may go into 15-17 weeks! Part of the dining chairs were delivered and then I was called in March for delivery for sofas, then a day before they called back to cancel and they said they will call back in a week to rearrange when the order is received from warehouse. 10 weeks later, I am still waiting. No one seems to have any idea what's going on. Part of my dining chairs are missing too. This shop took the joy out of our life for over 6 months for waiting for their delivery. They are quick in selling you the furnitures but they actually have no furniture to deliver to customers!!! We have been lied to about the service and I absolutely feel cheated. I am so angry with Furniture Village for treating me like this. Anywhere else people would receive refunds and compensations for being mis sold on information and for paying for items they never receive on time!

I ordered a dining table and 6 chairs in October and have waited 10 weeks for the delivery. The delivery was to happen on 27th November. On 27th morning at 7:20 the delivery guys called me to say we are coming in 20 minutes. I told them I have gone to drop my daughter to school and you’ll have to wait 20 minutes. The fellow said I will not wait and you contact furniture village. Things would have been simpler if only they had sent me a delivery window the night before. (Like everyone else does) My delivery has not come till date. I have left two voicemails and emailed thrice to furniture village Croydon. They have not responded. It’s a surprise given that on 10th November they were very prompt with email responses when they wanted the balance of the remaining payment before delivery. Arvind was very quick to take payment but after that when I have emailed asking about the delivery of my order. She has decided to just ignore. Waiting four days for an email response but have not got one yet Out of frustration I visited the Croydon store yesterday evening asking for my chairs. (I received the dining table on 27th which was from another supplier). Furniture Village is clueless about my order. They only take the initial order and the payment.The onus of the actual order and delivery is on the supplier but I as a customer don’t know what to do. I ordered my dining chairs from Furniture Village and I not sure how to contact the supplier. Furniture Village Croydon has to do it . It’s such a disappointment. I want my 6 chairs for which I have made full payment.

I would like to share a terrible experience I recently had with the Croydon Furniture Village store. My sister ordered a dining table that we both had selected from the showroom, but when the table was delivered, it was a wobbly, cheap, and poorly made model that my sister wouldn't buy from a charity shop. My sister's old table was much stronger and better than the one delivered by furniture village. When we both went to the shop to address the mistake, we were met with unhelpful and rude staff who wrongly accused us of ordering the wrong table. The manager was particularly arrogant and unprofessional, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable and undervalued as a customer. Their lack of customer service skills and inability to resolve the situation left us feeling frustrated and out of respect. Overall, the experience we both encountered was incredibly frustrating and hostile . We would not recommend this store to anyone, as their customer service is severely lacking respect and problem-solving and their products are of poor quality. Instead of spending your money at this furniture Village store, go to Fishpool and DFS instead since their helpful staff and first-rate customer service make you feel heard and respected.

AVOID! It's all cups of coffee and smiles until you've paid the deposit then the customer service ends. I wouldn't spend another penny with Furniture Village, in fact I cancelled an outstanding order that I had with them due to the lack of customer service I was enduring. I have since found that Bentalls in Kingston have furniture that is equally as good, offer a quick delivery and offer excellent customer service with no nonsense. My advice is that if you do buy anything from this lot then thoroughly inspect your order completely at point of delivery whilst the delivery guys are still with you and should there be anything damaged or not correct then refuse it and send it back because if you accept it and there is a problem then you will not get that problem resolved. The after sales I experienced from Furniture Village is THE worst I have ever experienced bar none. I even emailed the CEO - Peter Harrison and still my issues went unresolved. Ignore the response to my comment below from Sherice or is it Shanice?? It’s a lame attempt at concern which I’ve responded to on numerous occasions with absolutely no resolution. I’ll continue sending my emails to Peter Harrison.

Initially a mixed experience, staff ranged from almost oblivious to alert and helpful. Finally asked by Kerry if we needed some help as we were looking for someone to assist us. She was a great salesperson, never giving the impression that she was selling to us but rather she was attentive and informative. She was able to provide us with all the information we needed and then provided a hot drink and cookies whilst made our decisions. As a result we walked away feeling that we had a good quality product at a good price. Delivery time is excessive, currently 3 months, but for the right product it is worth the wait. Interest-free credit took the sting out of buying more than we were shopping for - as well as the fact that delivery = having the furniture installed in our room and packing removed. Would not hesitate to return for furniture in the future - and would certainly ask for Kerry to assist. Her knowledge, experience and good nature made the purchase a pleasant experience. As to the actual quality of the furniture... excellent for the price but we await final delivery to verify what we receive is as good as what we saw in the showroom.

We had visited many sofa shops in the Croydon area over the course of the day looking to replace an armchair. On our visit to Furniture Village, we were greeted with a friendly and genuine welcome. The gentleman introduced himself as Ahmed, he checked back in with us a few times, to offer coffee & biscuits, nice little touch. When we were ready to ask some questions, Ahmed was an absolute star, with great customer service he showed genuine interest in our needs and advised us accordingly with no hard sell! We went away to think over our many choices ,but we kept coming back to Furniture Village and Ahmed. As soon as Ahmed saw us on our second visit to the store, he welcomed us with the big smile and no added stress or pressure. Ahmed came across attentive and courteous, without being overbearing. Ahmed knew exactly what we wanted, and he helped us make a great choice and he also threw in a few extras, happy days! Ahmed was an absolute delight to talk to and even made my partner rethink his fantasy football team. Thanks, Ahmed, for all your help, you're a true legend! We left the store very happy and satisficed.

Overall very disappointed on the customer service and wouldn't recommend buying from this shop. Maybe the experience would be different at another store. We bought a bed in february and on the day it was supposed to be mounted turned out it came with the side parts of different color. We waited around 4 months for the right parts to be ordered and mounted but turned out that the color of the bed that we bought was discontinued. We were offered the posibility to choose another color and waited for the new bed a couple of months. When it finally arrived the headboard of the bed couldn't fit the door of the bedroom so the team was wondering how did the first team managed to bring inside the first bed. After checking the bed I was shocked to find out that the team that came the first time and mounted the bed forced the the headrest and caused damage by breaking the frame inside. Now I am still waiting for my new bed to be mounted and we are in August so it s been around six months since this is going.

Steve & Brad Are Ambassadors for Furniture Village Croydon! As a disenfranchised JLP customer - (they've lost it!) - we discovered Furniture Village as a very equitable replacement! On the day of delivery of a large corner sofa bed. the delivery men - Steve and Brad - couldn't have been more accommodating. Steve is a 'can do' delivery man and both are ambassadors for FV. They inspected the delivery 'route' and afterwards promptly and carefully assembled it and placed it in position. Steve demonstrated the 'conversion' into a bed. They took all the packaging and left behind a very contented customer. (A previous experience with JLP involved their delivery men dumping an oven in the middle of the hall - and one of them standing on it to get out - even ignoring a round sign with a foot crossed out on the very place he stood on it!). So well done chaps - I was worried! And you came up trumps. Well done and many many thanks.

We have been buying sofas, beds, wall art, lamps ect from furniture village since they opened their first store many many years ago in Croydon. The quality of every item we’ve ever purchased is excellent quality and so is the customer service. Although we no longer live in the area we travel to the Purley Way store Purley because of the friendliness of the staff there. Will (Wilfred) what a very very nice salesman and so helpful. We were in furniture village this weekend and he was a pleasure to talk to and helping up with measurements, colour and different options. Will has worked at this store several years and recognised us when we see him in store which was nice. We have purchased a new Sofa and looking forward to delivery and knowing everything right up to delivery we will be kept informed. Placed order on 1st May for a sofa that I was told was in stock and would be delivered in 7 working days only to learn it wasn't in stock. Eventually, it was delivered on 25th May. After the delivery, I noticed one of the seats on the 3 seater sofa didn't align with the rest. Called up after care number, was told, because the sofas are hand crafted, there's no guarantee of them being 100% perfect. I filed a complaint online with my order number that was written on the receipt to be told that the order number doesn't exist. When I move the sofa, the one piece looks like it's going to come apart. Now I have to go visit in store and file a complaint. Update: Just learnt that the order number they give you on the hand written paperwork isn't the actual order number. The real order number is sent in an email

I went to the store looking for sofa and the store manager, Armir attended to me, he was very helpful and took his time to show me round the store and offers available. I ended up buying bed and mattress and sofas. It was my lucky day as I got some managers' discounts and some freebies. I found favour going to the store and served by Amir. Talk about good customer service, Amir have it all. It felt like I have known him before and he understood what I wanted. He explained the quality of the goods I ordered to me and the payment options available. He made sure I was comfortable about the offer and payment I can't wait for my goods to be delivered. I have recently bought this sofa at Christmas and it took 2 months and when I got it i wasn't satisfied with the quality. The back of it isn't even fully filled which makes it look really bad and old. The seats move right out of place when you sit on the sofa. I tried talking to the customer service 3 times and the manager to fix the sofas or to get a refund but i would lose 50% of what I paid and they would charge me £45 to come and check the sofa's . I bought this for £2800 and now its half price at they're store and they didn't even give me the discount. A very very bad customer service and experience.

I went to furniture village after having a disappointing experience with Dunelm. A sofa arrived but couldn't fit into my house as it couldnt be split. I found the most amazing Brianna 4-seater sofa in Furniture Village the same day as the Dunelm delivery. It was a showroom sofa which meant it could be sent to my home within a week and had a fantastic discount. It's now arrived, looks perfect and was delivered in two parts for easy installation. A huge thank you to the staff in store and the delivery drivers who were very kind and helpful!

Bipin is the main man. He sold me my wardrobe and I came back to get one thing and left with 6 different furniture pieaces. The reason I come back is because I know I will get the full package for the customer service I didn’t know I wanted or needed. He takes his time and gives me space to decided without huffing or puffing. He allows me to choose and gives me the options on different selections. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Spoke to Sean Duplessis who was great friendly & helped me understand what sort of bed & mattress i wanted. Had to wait a little while as they’re short staffed but they had a hot drinks machine for customers to use which was nice. Also there was a lift to all the floors which was great cause i’m disabled.

The staff and management were fantastic. We were able to find the the sofas we wanted, the colours and the service was 5 star. Ahmed & Ali were our go to people for the deal and we left with a full set for our home. Would recommend Croydon as a place to visit, as the store is much bigger than our local and you won’t be disappointed.
