My grandfather passed away recently. We have used Greenwood for most of our family members in the area. When we were preparing for everything, they were very helpful. The lady that helped us, I believe named Stephanie (but it had been a couple months) was amazing! She was such a blessing. My family did have an issue with one of the older gentleman that worked there being very rude to them when telling them where to park to follow the Hurst. They talked to the lady helping us and she fixed everything. The funeral was great and we were very appreciative for all their support. My grandparents had picked packages long ago for their funeral expenses and my grandfather, having previously worked at a funeral home in his younger days, didn't believe in spending much on a coffin. He wrote a little note to let everyone know that he intentionally chose the cheapest one. He was a very tall and large guy, so it ended up that what he chose, he was just to tall for. They were so kind and ended up finding a way for him to get something nicer at no extra charge. We didn't get to use his note, but in his memory, this is what he wrote: "My family is not cheap. This is what I picked out. If you think I would object, ask me. If I say something, get me out of here 'cause I ain't dead yet. Thanks for coming to my going away party."

Not only did our funeral director put the wrong name on my mother's death certificate, she then forgot to have her grave marker engraved. I called several times, on the death certificate but my director was not responsive. My husband had to go Greenwood and speak to other people there to get a change on the death certificate submitted. I called several times on the marker ( it has been almost 3 months), leaving messages, and again my director did not return my calls. I reached the individual who was in charge of scheduling the engraving today (September 7th) and he had just received the order to engrave my mother's marker. Today - just received - almost 3 months. I am giving two stars because other individuals at Greenwood were helpful, and kind, and appear efficient. I give two stars for this funeral director's incompetence in completing her tasks, then being unresponsive to the family when we call for help, and for Greenwood's enabling her to stay in that position when she is obviously lacking the skills needed.

Thank you Reginald Murray, Funeral Director, for spending so much time with my family, you were so kind and caring, you made this difficult time bearable. We also Thank Al Munger, who presided over her service, you hit all the marks right on target, my mother loved to laugh and she would have loved her service, you're the best. I made pre arranged plans for my father to be cremated and his urn to be placed in a vault along with his parents. They initially said they could fit his name on the plaque that already contained his parents names. A few weeks go by and now they can't fit his name and there's an additional $600 fee to rearrange all the names so that his will fit. Then they said the urn I ordered may not fit and they'll have to place his remains in a cardboard temporary box so it fits in the vault. I get a call today that I have to re sign some documents because they wrote down the wrong vault number he was to be placed in. I don't know what else could possibly go wrong, but I'm sure something will come up. You'd think they'd double or even triple check these kinds of things by now.

Our family (which is a lot) have been at Greenwood for many years now & the service used to always be Excellent along with the ground care but over the last few years the grounds have become unkept. Today we visited some of the family at 3 different locations & 2of the locations were filled with Ant Mounds so high we could even get the vases out of the ground until we got a shovel to shovel the ant mounds off, one of the graves markers was covered you could not even see my sisters name. It really makes you sad when you see that your family is not being cared for. People need to know when they use Greenwood that the aftercare is less than desirable. You can’t blame this on Covid because this strayed happening several years before . SHAME on GREENWOOD!

You would think that people staffed at a funeral home would have some tact and be more respectful. The front desk woman was incredibly rude and annoyed (god forbid people die unexpectedly and interrupt your coffee break). The funeral director Ron also made a point to let us know how busy he was (I don’t really care) and that there was a cheaper place in Arlington we could go to if price was an issue. I guess we looked poor or something? Sorry we couldn’t get it together enough for you after our moms unexpected death, Ron. Also, WOMEN can serve in the military as well. Insinuating that she must be using her husbands military burial benefit is frankly disgusting. We will not ever step foot in this funeral home again.

We believe that God sends special people into our lives at specific times as blessings. When Our mother passed on November 17th, we had never planned a funeral. Mr. Sullivan gently and patiently guided us through the process. When we were lost and completely overwhelmed, Mr. Sullivan took the reigns, until we could gather ourselves, and gave us the compassionate direction and guidance we needed to get through the process. In the end, our mother's service was beautiful. Thanks to Mr. Sullivan, we were able to give our mother a Home Going Celebration we believe would have made her proud. Thank you Mr. Sullivan. My communication with the Greenwood representative, Sara Dixon, was accomplished primarily via phone. Due to my circumstances at the time, it was difficult to be able to speak, but she was understanding and patient with me and my family. The process was handled with great professionalism and empathy and I greatly appreciated this during a most difficult time in life. I would recommend to all who are seeking such services to do so at Greenwood Funeral Home, because all of the representives my family and I came into contact with held the same standard of professionalism

Very disappointed. My husband passed away in November 2021 We were not able to have an appointment to make funeral plans for twelve days. We were not able to view body before visitation time. His hair was not trimmed as requested. Framed pictures were not set out for visitation or funeral until we asked where they were. It has been nearly nine months and still do not have grave marker. Every time we have called about it we are told a latter date. Unfortunately since we have prepaid arrangements my family will have to go through this again when I pass.

Our adult daughter passed away two years ago. We had to purchase a plot and make arrangements for the burial. I found a wonderful plot(s) in the historic section of the cemetery, which I purchased from a broker. The people at Greenwood were wonderful, accommodating and took care of all the arrangements for the burial. The burial site is beneath tall oak trees and is so peaceful! Many of the graves are from the 1800’s and early 1900’s - all over 100 years old. It is a peaceful, beautiful place for our daughter to lie in rest.

A few communication issues at first and a bad experience with one coordinator cost a star. After a supervisor took control all was well with my mother's prepaid arrangements. We had a graveside private visitation and service. After having had severe dementia and in memory care for 2 years her appearance had deteriorated severely. They took 10 years off her, restoring her to what we remembered. This was the single best contribution to our closure being able to see her as she once was. Great job and thank you

Everything has been handled so beautifully by Greenwood, from pre-planning of my aunt's services to handling things upon her death to the actual services themselves. Everyone I have dealt with at Greenwood is very caring and professional, and the facilities and cemetery are beautiful and well-maintained. It is so nice to be able to do absolutely everything at one location. I will definitely recommend them and plan to use them again in the future.

Greenwood was easy to work with. The funeral director was empathetic and thorough in leading us through the necessary steps related to our loved one's death. He was accessible after our initial meeting and responsive. There is an online form that leads you through needed information, and filling this out at home before our meeting was very beneficial in gathering the information. It was a reassuring experience.

During this heart felt time, I was so happy that I dealt with Reggie. He was so very sweet, and answered all of my questions...even the crazy ones. He really went above and beyond to help me make a final decision for my mother. He did not try to upsell me on anything. He was very. Considerate and empathetic to my situation. Beautiful area, I have many family members burried in different locations of theirs. However their customers service is not the best when dealing with payment policies. I made a payment early and I was still taken another auto draft payment from my account. Edit: I have been contacted by Mr. Underwood and they have taken measures to correct this. So glad to have received a call back regarding this.

Just the messenger here. They wrote my mother a check for 9600 and the check should of been 6900. I had to drive to get the check replaced. I think honest people should be appreciated. I tried to talk the ladie who gave me the new check if I was them I would've gave something for appreciation. a letter small amount of money. she was rude and said didn't care and walked off on me and no thank you.

I just wanted to Thank Elizabeth Fernandez and Pastor Al Munger for everything. They worked very hard and went above and beyond and they were very Professional and thoughtful! I felt like they were family and they treated us as such. They helped us get through the hardest day of our lives and I feel as if we would have been anywhere else...It wouldn't have been as comforting. Thank you again.

This place is a joke. They make you feel like your at a used car lot. Can’t tell me when my wife will be returned so my kids and I can have service but they can give me a bill quick fast and in a hurry. Sarah Dixens is so rude and dismissive it’s beyond comprehension. Lucas funeral home treat my family with great respect and provided a beautiful service for my father. This place is horrible.

Our experience with Greenwood in preparing for my mom's visitation and funeral was wonderful. The Staff was very professional but so empathic to all of our needs. Our Funeral Director was Karla Deibert and she could not have been more wonderful! Karla and the staff at Greenwood took care of everything for us so we could concentrate on my dad and the rest of our large family.

The lady that helped us her name was Maryann , heaven sent she was very knowledgeable of her job she was sweet explained everything where it made sense in everything we were choosing and planning durning this hard time. It was my first time having to deal with a funeral home for the death of a loved one. They knew everything to do which made the whole process easier on me and my family. Sparks Assisted Living made one call to Greenwood and everything was taken care of. Greenwood called me and explained what they were allowed to do during Covid 19 and helped my family thru this difficult time.

Our experience with Greenwoods was amazing, considering the reason we were there. They were beyond professional, compassionate, and timely with everything. When we had a small glitch with getting my mother transported, they fought to get it resolved quickly. We especially loved working with Cheyenne…she was the best fit for us.

Very elegant place. I have played music for many funerals over the years and Greenwood has by far been the most warm and inviting. It's also the largest facility I have seen. Even though it's large, every area has a homey charm and displays sheer class.
