Gallery 1957 has been a great place to visit even after having been there twice , I'm still amazed as if it was love at first sight. Where to start from, the location ? Yes. Well located in the beautiful kempinski hotel,there are so many levels of art/crafts you may found during your visit , we even got overwhelmed of pleasure by them. Well preserved, cleanliness on point and on top of that , it is totally free of charges. for such incredible place it is very magical and kudos to the management team and staff behind that. I am very appreciative and lucky to have visit and why not continue to visit such a great place. I did add it to my favourite activities to do whilst in Accra.

Walked in with 12 children this afternoon and attendants were not child-friendly; though we didn’t ‘book’ in advance. We passed through on our way back to Tema from the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. We went in anyway. Current artworks on display are a bit of ‘adult content’, depicting romantic scenes so it would be good to confirm what’s on display before walking in, especially when with children.

I come them from time to time with my friends, and I always find it refreshing that pieces are cycled out and unique to one another. It’s quite nice that some pieces have QR-coded (or physical) press releases as it can make you really understand the work that may have gone into an installation. I would recommend this gallery if you’re in the Ridge area.

This was an interesting art gallery. We went into one room on the second floor thinking that was all. If the person at the front desk of the first exhibit didn’t say anything, we would have walked out after spending only 20 minutes, not knowing there was another exhibit on the next floor above. Also, it was all free.

One of the most popular Art gallery open to public in Ghana. Unfortunately during my visit only a limited number of art were on display. The display area wasn’t as huge as I anticipated given the two others were being remodeled. But definitely a beautiful place to visit. Don’t forget to scan the QR codes at the entrances for more details on the artist.

I like the layout of this gallery and the collection of art is impressive! They have a gallery within the hotel and another one in The Galleria, Accra which is opposite the hotel. I viewed Rita Mawuena Benissan’s exhibition when I visited.

It is inside the Kempinski Hotel. They have about three floors dedicated to the gallery. It is also free. Just ask for directions once you enter the gate. There are some nice arts there.

This exhibition is everything. Contemporary selection of artists, set in a beautiful hotel. Serene setting that truly enables you to get to study each piece of art. Press releases on offer give you a good understanding of the artist, their modalities and inspiration.

A very chill and creative place. Went there with some friends to check out the exhibitions that was going on. Customer service was excellent. You can even take your date there if you want to spark a creative and intellectual connection . Thank me later …

Gorgeous art gallery with 3 spaces. 1 within the kempinski hotel, and the other 2 in the galleria nearby. Make sure to scan the QR codes at the entrance of each gallery to learn about the artists and their work being displayed.
