My only experience with Game Republik is this one interaction, in a repair capacity. Originally, I tried doing a case swap on an OG NDS. I couldn't get the top part of the clamshell on, plus, when I turned it on, it would short out, turn on, then immediately turn off. I'd interacted with Game Republik on Twitter, so I decided to try them out. I dropped off my NDS on March 6, 2019. They told me it would take some time to diagnose and had no idea of cost. "It depends on the diagnosis." After hearing nothing, I decided to buy another working (cheap) OG NDS off of eBay and asked them to simply put the new shell on the working NDS. No diagnosis, just a straight shell swap. After hearing nothing, I continued to reach out to them on Twitter and Facebook Messenger, called twice, then finally heard back. "With third-party shells, they don't always fit, so I'm working on making it fit." I get it - the AliExpress sellers make inconsistent stuff. Still, it took me almost two months to get my NDS back. They called me right at the end of April (remember, I dropped it off in early March) and told me it was ready. I finally picked it up today. Pros: the shell fits. Cons: they broke the hinge on the NEW shell I bought, the top screen doesn't line up with the bezel, the L trigger and B buttons feel super gummy, and they didn't even bother to clean off the top LCD before putting it back in the shell. You HAVE to take the entire thing apart in a shell swap - why not clean it when you have the opportunity? I know I was dealing with an old console and I know that the third party shell might be a (small) pain, but I expected better for $44 and waiting almost two months. At this point, I wish I'd saved my money, never bothered trying a shell swap, and just kept a fully functional, clean, snappy button'd OG NDS. Your mileage may vary but I am not impressed. RESPONSE (5/4/2019): Yes, I freely admit I gave you a shorted out system and a completely working system. If you ignore the shorted out one and look at only the working hardware and the shell, it's a shell swap, simple as that. Yes, I posted a review based off of my experience. I'm not going to apologize for being less than enthused with waiting two months. Reading other people's reviews about your repairs, it seems like I'm not in the minority regarding my experience. It's also okay to be done doing shell swaps. Post a sign on your door or your website. There wasn't one when I dropped off my hardware. I am more than happy to talk about it on the phone. I was busy when you called and my phone is on silent. I can also only assume that you are the number that called me after the actual Game Republik number called and said 'Wow thanks"? Finally, if this many people (especially within a few months time span) all have similar criticism of your repair process, maybe that's worth examining?

I brought my ps5 over here to get fixed about a month ago for over heating they fixed that problem but when I got my ps5 back it wasn’t letting me do a system software update I had to take apart my whole ps5 myself to find out they forgot to plug in the blue ribbon cord to the mother board once that was fixed I started having over heating problems again so I brought it to get fixed again about 3 days after I previously got it fixed for the same exact reason I brought it on a Sunday the girl at the front table told me it would take about 3-4 days so I called 3-4 days later and Chris answered the phone with a crazy attitude asking me why It was broke I told him the reason and he didn’t believe me and kept saying I ripped out the fan cord. All I asked was when my ps5 would be done and he kept asking why it was broke like fixing a ps5 isn’t his job that’s the whole reason why I brought it to get fixed not be questioned why it was broke not believing what I’m telling him horrible customer service had a attitude the whole time while I was on the phone with him kept telling me unnecessary stuff that I never asked about if you don’t wanna deal with ignorant people with attitudes who don’t enjoy there jobs I recommend not coming here

This place is AWESOME!!! I dropped my PS4 off about 21 days ago. They quoted me 100-125 for the issue. Said it'd take 7-10 days. I know it ended up taking longer a bit but that was only because they had to fix something that I messed up myself when I opened up my ps4 myself(I'll never do that again), so totally made sense and they told me of this issue during the process. Ended up costing me the higher end of the quote but that was perfectly acceptable to me because not only did they repair the damage I had done on top of what i needed fixed, they also cleaned out all of the dust from it as well free of charge!! Making my PS4 quieter to boot!!!

Wonderful place for the whole family. Safe secure welcome non discriminatory. they always have some kind of event going on. You can also do party's for family & friends. A bonus thier can also be event's for your occasion. Though you need enough people in your group on most occasions to do the lock ins those where very fun. In addition to set up appointment in advance is recommended their is allot of people that come here daily. This place is always welcoming to go. I brought in an Xbox One S with a cooling fan issue, broken pieces moving around inside, etc. Tyler explained everything going on with the system and reassured me that it will be fixed and running just fine within no-time, and for a reasonable price. My son has been without his game (PS5) for months now. We had to let him be without it a bit to learn to cherish things a little more. However, yesterday we dropped off his game later in the night and it was fixed like nothing ever happened within an hour. Our son literally woke up, saw it at about 1 am and snuck on it until about 3 am on a school night. I know that's bad but he has a half day today and we know what he will be doing after school today. We appreciate you all and the great service.

What a great place to get consoles fixed! Chris can fix anything and does so at a great price. Our Switch was all wonkey and he cleaned it up, replaced the rails and put a new screen protector on it for about 100 bucks. He did say we were going to need new joy-cons but didn’t spend a lot of time trying to fix them and then bill us for them. I would have bought them from him but he didn’t have any in stock at the time. Friendly, knowledgeable, fast and great prices! We will defines be back!

I had an amazing experience. The prices matched the other gaming lounge in the area, but here the hours are longer. Elaine and Lance killed me with great customer service, and made sure my stay was pleasurable. I love coming here because I sold my laptop, and won’t have a gaming rig for awhile. Game Republik was able to fix my broken Xbox Series X after I dropped it. The HDMI port was destroyed and they swapped it out for me, along with other cleaning and maintenance. After the HDMI port was swapped, there was additional damage that was not obvious. They took it back to fix it again, and made sure the job was complete. I highly recommend this store if you have any broken electronics, specifically consoles and PCs. Old and new. They also fix controllers.

Great place! I'm really impressed with the customer service! Really made me and my son feel welcome. We brought in our PS4 that got fried in a thunderstorm, yes I left it plugged in my bad... The Game Republik staff are all so courteous and helpful. My champagne logged (don’t ask) Switch OLED was unfortunately beyond saving but they were so nice and communicative with me about my repair the whole time. They even offered to recycle my old handheld for me! I hope to not need their services anytime soon, but I will certainly let them take a crack at any of my misbehaving consoles.

Great gaming location for many services. I had an issue with my elite v2 controller and it was fixed initially, but returned with secondary problems. I brought the controller back and Lance was very helpful working to get this resolved. Good service and very knowledgeable staff. I went to another place that advertised video console repair, but once I got there, they told me they would have to send it out to be repaired, which would take a couple of weeks! I called Game Republik and was told they could repair my HDMI Port on my Xbox Series X in a couple of hours, and they did exactly that. If I ever need help in the future I know where I am going.

Went in for HDMI fix for Xbox series X. They toke care of it in the time they advertised. Highly recommend going here for any of your Console needs. They know their stuff about hardware, but the owner's employees seem a bit disorganized. Very friendly though, and fun to chat with. Also, their gpu deals are well priced and a hell of a lot more reasonable than most other places. Overall it was a fun experience and a good deal, and I would return if I need to.

Recently had a PS5 in for repair that got zapped by lightning. Everyone was nice and professional, explaining what was needed to repair and counseled me on supply chain issues affecting parts.
