We purchased through a brokerage agent a bond issued by a public traded company which paid 7% interest for seven years. A few years later the company stopped paying the interest and filed bankruptcy protection. The agent told us funds will be available and to ignore several letters we received from law firms requesting to represent us to pursue claims against the brokerage firm that sold the bond. We were doubtful if the law firms could recover any losses from the brokerage firm. Out of curiosity, I decided to call Mr. Adam Gana, the lawyer in the first letter received( from Kurta law & Gana Weinstein LLP). Among others, he explained clearly and orderly how they will pursue and how successful they were in the past. He impressed me the most was that he said that they can win the case and that the only concern was to hope the brokerage firm has sufficient fund to compensate us at settlement. We decided to go ahead and they formed a team of three to move the case fast to be the first one to sue the brokerage firm. At the zoom mediation meeting with the lawyer of the brokerage firm, I saw how much work our lawyers had put in preparing tons of well and convincing documents in their power point presentation at the meeting. I learned from the mediator that many other law sues were forth coming. Mr. Gana successfully settled for us shortly after the mediation meeting without going through the court proceeding. They did and accomplished exactly as we were told at the beginning. I would therefore most highly recommend Kurta law & Gana Weinstein LLP without any hesitation.
