Me and my friends have been supporting the club for years but on Friday had a bad experience with the staff, in particular owner Eugene and his barman. We were firstly cross questioned multiple times around the number of people who were actually bowling. When we gave the number we were still questioned like we were some dishonest scum and will be trying to scam him out of R80's Secondly, we had some foreign visitors who arrived late, We informed them that they could bring their own wine and unfortunately they took this as being alcohol and brought beer, which we knew was not allowed. As they arrived late and there were tons of people, we did not notice this. The barman and Eugene (who was clearly very intoxicated) swore was very aggressive and threw the people out and didn't want them back in, this when all their belongings were still inside The beer situation is so bizarre in the manner it was handled as the establishment before we started bowling actually informed us that we are allowed to smoke cannabis in the corner in a space called "The greenhouse". None of us smoke and to allow an illegal substance to be smoked rather than allowing a six pack of beer is just extremely bizarre The manner in which they handled the situation was rude, unprofessional and I will not be back nor will I recommend this place to anyone. They clearly got a chip on their shoulder now that they are more "famous"

We had our year end staff function at the club yesterday and what an awful experience. We were assured we'd have the venue all to ourselves for the entire day. By 6pm some external guests joined us... whatever keeps the bar till ticking it seems. Our biggest staff attendance ever and by 4pm the crowd started thinning out as the music could not be heard. Music makes the party but we couldnt turn up the volume because of a complaining resident. Festive season, broad daylight and the manager of the club kept turning the volume down. Benches all around the green but no music could be heard from that far out. Venue hire included cleaning. Caterers returned for their hired goods this morning and maggots could be seen around the items so exactly how much cleaning took place? What a disappointing experience. If I could rate half a star I would.

The individual facilitating the games and attending to our staff function was incredibly unprofessional and abrupt. Continuously asked guests when we were leaving and rushed us through our games so that we could get done sooner. I would have given a zero rating but google only allows a one at a minimum. I will never return or make any recommendation as a result of this individual's behaviour. If you enjoy bowls, this is NOT the place to be!

Lovely little spot in the heart of Gardens. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the drinks are affordable. You can book to play on the greens (free-of-charge) fret not if you don't know how to play, as there will be a staff member available to give you an introduction. Be sure to wear sunblock on the sunny days. Outdoor shaded seating is available

Wholesome pleasant experience! Eugene and his team are nothing short of phenomenal. I had my birthday bring and braai there. Eugene is extremely professional and helpful. From the first contact all the way to the end of the event. The whole event went off without any problems. Would definitely recommended as a chill place to invite close friends to.

We had such an amazing time! Never played before, but Eugene showed us everything we needed to know with a big smile and a few jokes. They showed the Springbok rugby match inside, had a quick and efficient bar and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Well groomed lawn and a very experienced bowling staff who take huge pride in their grounds. They have a small intimate bar with limited variety but just enough to quench your thirst. There are enough parking available under beautiful rubber tree canopies.

Absolutely exquisite! The best view of Table Mountain you can wish for, beautifully kept facilities, including bowling greens and braai areas and very friendly staff, thank you Eugene. Perfect for team building, parties, get togethers or sundowners.

Epic views and a relaxed afternoon of bowls and a braai. We enjoyed the spacious braai area with a nice big table for a group of about 16 of us. The team was friendly, the bar service great, and we got some helpful hints and tips on how to play.

Well maintained greens, lovely staff and Covid friendly. I am ashamed to say that this was my first time here and first time bowling, with a year end company event. Expertly shown how. Will most definitely not be my last! What fun!

We had a private event hosted here. Quite a nice venue with stunning views of table mountain. Can buy drinks at the bar, they have nice specials on some drinks. Parking can be a problem since the parking spots are limited.

3rd oldest bowling club in SA. More a social club with a bowling problem. Greens are well on their way to top shape. Great atmosphere. With the innovative leadership this lub will grow and bring more people to bowls.

Was okay, bar counter a bit small with people sitting around it making it hard to order. Only 2 lanes were open to use. Has a good vibe though and still enjoyed myself.

I loved the experience. It's so peaceful and serene, looking up at the mountain. Would definitely recommend for a fun day out. They were accommodating and friendly.

We used them for a work function and it was enjoyed by all. Drinks are reasonable and we were able to use their braai facilities. The staff are extremely friendly.
