I've been to the old location many times. This new location has better parking, more seating, and is cleaner and newer. However, it still has the same small time locals bar charm. The burgers are still delicious (smaller than a regular burger, larger than a slider) with their signature Billy Geez sauce or hot sauce. They now offer a choice of cheese curds and/or shredded mozzarella for their poutines. Don't expect gourmet or healthy food. This isn't the spot for that. The bar tender is always friendly and there's always a sporting event playing on the TV.

I’ve been to their previous location many many times. This was my first time at the new location. For years I’ve heard about their legendary burgers but I never tried one until yesterday. My life changed, this was by far the best cheese burger I’ve tried in my entire existence. When I finished my first one, the chef asked me if I liked it, I nodded and he asked if I wanted another one, I nodded. I had two burgers in a row, I couldn’t just have one. I have no idea what sorcery they use, but these are by far the best. If you haven’t tried one of their burgers, you’ve never experience culinary extase. 100% Eric approved!!!!!!

My friend and I sat next to a table of big, burly men playing cards. Friend and I really tend to queen it up when we get together, yet the men had no problem with us. In fact, by the meal's end, we were all laughing and joking together. Only in Montreal, eh? As for the food, yes; absolutely the best burger in town! Onion rings delish too. Fries were too ordinary though. Next time I'll try the sweet potato fries and someday the steak! Staff are so much fun, I'm sure it's a great bar to go to at night. I shall tell all my friends about this friendly spot.

I had heard great things about Geez, but had not gone in. Today I walked in and from the moment I did, I was floored! From Lisa the barmaid, to Gord the cook, to Bob sitting at the bar, all made my stay very memorable! Lisa served me real nice cold Coors Lights - something I had missed as most bars around only carry Labatt products, Gord cooked me up a really great cheeseburger and fries, with cheese on the bottom and I was amazed to see some really great Canadiens memorabilia adorning the walls, including several really great pic of my uncle Doug, CH #2! Withing minutes of being there I knew I had found a new home!

Great local friendly pub! Well worth the travel to NDG, great steaks and burgers at reasonable prices. Everything served fresh! And a great selection of Scotch's and Bourbon Whiskeys!

Great place, local sports resto-bar. The food is great. Try the Frasburger and the sweet potato fries. Happy hour will find the very charming Cinnamon behind the bar adding spice to the atmosphere. Live music on the weekends tòo.

I have been in Montreal 4 weeks now but only discovered Geez bar . On my first visit I was greeted by a lovely blonde waitress my name escapes me but she was ever so helpful. I had such a good time here I decided to return many times more. All the staff here are welcoming and the locals are great .. Mark is a great guy who is very proud of his business. If you visit Montreal give this place a try you won't regret. Also great bar food

Amazing spot!! The owners, Steve and Deb, are an absolute TIME. We stopped in on a whim and had so much fun with them. Their hospitality and service was off the charts. The arancini balls are authentically Italian and the beef poutine was bomb, too. We are so happy to have stumbled across this gem and will definitely be back!

So happy to have found this hidden NDG gem. The Geez burger certainly lives up to its "best burger" reputation! And heir sweet potato fries & spicy mayo are delish. My husband loved their Bacon Poutine (me too). The ambience is very chill & friendly. Another big bonus is all the free parking!! A total rarity in NDG!

In response to @John Travis, if Harvey’s is your example of a good “poutine” then no one should take your opinion seriously as that is one of the worst fast food poutines. Maybe you should go back to Ontario and their pretend poutine and leave the real thing along. I will come to Geez solely for the poutine.

Absolutely the best! Despite the good food (not only good, but amazing!), staff are super friendly! I love to sit at the bar and just drink some beer and talk to people!
