I visited with my brother, who was in the market for a new luxury car. He initially dealt with Manny, who was a lovely gentleman. Unfortunately, he was unavailable the day my brother visited again, so we dealt with Anthony, the manager. From the get-go, Anthony was cold, unfriendly, and bordering on hostile. He did nothing to persuade us to buy a Genesis over a Lexus, instead saying that Genesis products are a "different class" to Lexus. This is a laughable statement, given they are equivalent brands in ways too numerous to outline for a Google Maps review. All of that is beside the point, as he showed he was disinterested in making a deal and refused to court our business. We have visited all the luxury dealerships along Nepean Hwy, and none of them made us feel as unwelcome and disregarded as Anthony and his other colleagues – on the contrary, in fact. The entire luxury car experience – from sale through to service – is meant to be punctuated with respect and proper treatment. For an upmarket brand to treat potential customers this way is deplorable, much less a fledgling one. Reading through the other reviews, it became clear our experience is not an outlier (except for all the clearly fake reviews they have since procured). Manny's colleague ended up stealing the car sale from under him while he was away, which meant my brother was unable to return to him with a final decision following a test drive with a rival brand. It is clear the entire dealership does not deal in respect. This is in stark contrast with my experience dealing with the former manager, Sean Myers, back in 2020, when I was in the market for my car. Sean was the utmost gentleman. He provided personable, courteous service and was one of those proper old-fashioned salesman. We ended up buying the car from him. Unfortunately, this latest experience has left us questioning the newfound brand loyalty that Genesis had fostered.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting the Genesis dealership, and I must say it was extremely disappointing. The manager, Anthony, made the entire ordeal incredibly unpleasant. From the moment I set foot into the showroom, Anthony's combative tone and disrespectful language left me feeling disgusted. Instead of welcoming me as a potential customer, Anthony immediately dismissed my negotiation points without even considering them. He seemed more interested in belittling me and encouraging me to go to a rival brand, rather than engaging in a productive conversation. It was clear that he had no interest in understanding my needs or providing a satisfactory solution. What made matters worse was the behavior of Anthony's two other coworkers. Instead of tending to other customers, they crowded around me as I had the unpleasant experience of talking to Anthony. It felt as though they were more interested in indulging in their sparkling water than attending to potential customers. After enduring such appalling treatment, I made the wise decision to look elsewhere for my automotive needs. I ended up purchasing a brand new Lexus ES300h, and I can confidently say that I have absolutely no regrets. The experience at Lexus of Brighton was exceptional, and their sales manager, Dion, treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism. If you are looking for a dealership that values its customers and provides a respectful, delightful pre- and post-purchase experience, I strongly urge you to avoid the Genesis dealership, particularly the manager Anthony. Save yourself the disappointment and head straight to Lexus of Brighton, where Dion will ensure that you are treated with the respect and dignity that every customer deserves. EDIT: Thanks for your reply to my review. We contacted the managing director for Genesis Australia in June and received no response.

Walked into the dealership yesterday since I’m interested in purchasing an electric vehicle and I’ve heard good things about the quality of Genesis. There was a certain car that peaked my interest however the door was locked and I couldn’t get a proper look inside. One of the sales men there noticed me and introduced himself, I then asked if he was able to open the car so I could have a proper look inside. He replied with saying “No” with the reason being “It’s a white interior”. I used to work as a Sales person and the absolute judgment I got from this man was disgusting, all I wanted to do was have a look inside of a car as a potential purchase. I’m not sure how these sales men are trained however I suggest that you should also teach them how to serve without judgment! He is basically suggesting that I look dirty or that I don’t look mature enough to sit inside of a car properly. I walked away from the dealership and walked back through that area about 20 minutes later, to my surprise I saw the same car door being open for a gentlemen in a suit. I wasn’t sure that I needed to look like a Businessman to sit inside of a car. This interaction was unacceptable and I will NOT be shopping at Genesis!

Had an incredible experience with Anthony!! I was previously pretty intimidated of car salesman, and referred to entering a car dealership as diving into a shark tank. Absolutely not the vibe down at Genesis and I’m seriously surprised by some of these other reviews that seem like phoney baloney. Anthony made the whole process super comfortable. He is extremely welcoming and customer service oriented. I didn’t want to buy a new car, I was forced to because mine was devastatingly written off when some idiot sped through a red light. After a whole lot of inconvenience to obtain CCTV footage and defend my innocence to insurance companies, the very last thing I was looking forward to was walking into a dealership. However, I unexpectedly got to thoroughly enjoy the process of finding my new baby with wheels. Anthony is so knowledgeable and completely took the stress out of the equation. He negotiated fairly and I felt like my needs were put at the forefront of every option I was presented with. You will definitely not regret engaging with Anthony and his team at Genesis. I can confidently say my perspective of car salesmen has been greatly improved. Top genuine bloke.

I had a really great experience at the professional Melbourne Studio. I flew down last week to test drive the GV70 and the studio team were wonderful and friendly. LISA the online sales consultant was very helpful in arranging the test drive and follow-up was much appreciated. The sales consultant/product specialist AKHIL made sure the test drive was safe and went well. I enjoyed driving the GV70 in the city tour. AKHIL has such a friendly demeanour and passionate about Genesis vehicles - he certainly has done his homework. The follow-up from the studio manager ANTHONY after the test drive, was also much appreciated and very helpful. Thank you Anthony and your professional Genesis champion team, it was a memorable Genesis experience. We are now dealing with the Brisbane Studio to continue with the delivery of our GV70.

We purchased a GV80 from Genesis Studio last week. Great family car ! Manny (Manpreet Singh) and Anthony were really helpful from the moment we stepped in the showroom until the delivery of the car. Their service was excellent, and delivered the car two weeks earlier than promised ! Manny was in regular contact with me giving all updates from the day of order till delivery. He arranged a test drive closer to my home (Mount Waverley) and assisted us responding to all our queries. Highly satisfied!!! Also, I highly recommend GV80 for someone looking for a great family car with latest technology and comfort. Decided ti buy this having tested several other cars including GLE300, RX350 and X5. My personal opinion is that GV80 offers a lot compared to its rivals.

So happy we made the decision to contact Genesis Studio Melbourne while searching for our dream car, a White G80 to be used as a Chauffeur vehicle in Adelaide. It was our lucky day as Luca took our call and through his eagerness and willingness to provide the best service possible, today we are full of excitement as we have collected the G80 that was presented immaculately. Both Anthony and Luca provided an exceptionally high level of service making the purchase of the Genesis from another State a smooth transaction. We were so impressed with the Melbourne Genesis Studio which matches the prestigious image that the vehicle portrays. Can't thank them both enough for caring for us. Highly recommend. I recently bought a new GV70, and I must say it's an excellent car, the best in its class. It outperforms German brands in every aspect, and its road presence is impeccable. This Korean brand truly understands the market and knows what customers want. However, when it comes to the Australian market, I felt they are not up to the mark due to high demand and limited staff, which affects their service quality. Genesis should recruit more talented people and provide a one-stop solution. Other reviews clearly indicate this issue. Additionally, some items and furniture in their studio have become old and dirty, which they should consider replacing to maintain their brand image.

I’m looking to purchase a vehicle in mid Luxury market. I was not familiar with Genesis brand, however by accident I walked in to the emporium dealership. The minute I stepped in I was greeted with such a pleasant and warm welcome. The level of knowledge about Genesis cars and the level of professionalism was so impressive, especially the manager Anthony it was incredibly impressive and so welcoming, and it’s amazing to see the customer service in that level still exist, and makes me proud to say I’m a Melbourenain, as this Showcases us nationally and internationally. Recently I took my partner into the wonderfully appointed emporium and fell in love with the G80 luxury model and after being a euro driver my whole life walked out with a signed contract of sale. Aaron and Anthony are the cornerstones of customer service and have given amazing after sales-support and have answered every question I’ve had, I’ve had plenty of after hours phone calls organising the logistics of new car buying and as a very particular buyer myself they’ve really given me a first class experience. Last week I went into the store at emporium. My cousin was looking for a car and we just had stumbled across genesis. There we were graciously greeted by Jackson. I must say, I have been to many car dealerships and spoken to many sales staff, but none like Jackson. I purchased a GV70 3.5T Lux Sport . The car is fantastic , interior , controls, power , brakes , steering . Extremely quiet smooth ride and my wife loves it . I can only say it is nicer to drive than my previous X6. Everything at Genesis Studio Melbourne went totally smoothly , ordering was efficient and continual communication is great. I totally recommend my Genesis vehicle . Go ask for Aaron Harris, he will make certain everything works smoothly

Went in and had no intention of buying a car but was very well looked after by Anthony who I was surprised was the manager as he was very down to earth and friendly, not like most managers I've interacted with. He was very knowledgeable and we had a great talk. His team were top notch and I've never been to a better place. 10 out of 10 if I'm ever looking for another car I'll be coming to see Anthony! Top bloke! Would highly recommend to anyone!

I found the staff very rude and discourteous. The cars and the showroom looks amazing but when I was approached by this tall white salesman, I was immediately turned off by his demeanor. There was an air of arrogance and unfriendliness. I don't care if he is the manager, the owner, or the CEO, there is no excuse. It looks like my experience isn't isolated based on the reviews. If management cares, please look into this.

After visiting the dealership on several occasions with my partner and looking at the vehicles on display not once has a staff member offered to help me or my partner out. It’s a huge disappointment from a brand that’s trying to push itself as premium product BMW, Audi and Mercedes dealerships have far better service you pay a bit more but receive a far better service. I’d suggest avoiding this dealership.

Don’t sit in a car for longer then 3-5 mins to explore the features even if there isn’t a queue waiting because you’ll be rudely told to get out by the salesperson having a power trip. We were considering buying, but partner and I will take our business to BMW or Mercedes instead now! You lost a sale and we will never buy a Genesis with that kind of service.
