As an experienced traveler, I recently had the opportunity to explore the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, and I was thoroughly impressed. One of my favorite aspects of the airport was the overall cleanliness and organization of the facilities. The terminals were spotless, and the restrooms were well-maintained, leading me to believe that the airport management prioritizes sanitation and cleanliness for its guests. Another standout feature of the airport was the wide variety of food options available for travelers. I was particularly fond of the Wendy's restaurant, which served fresh and delicious fast food items. No matter what you're in the mood for, the airport has a plethora of vendors that can cater to your taste buds. The friendliness of airport staff was also noteworthy, with personnel providing assistance and direction to travelers in a welcoming and polite manner. This human touch played a big role in making the airport feel more inviting, and it ensured that my travel experience was more relaxed and enjoyable. The massage chairs located at the various sections of the airport made my travel even more relaxing, as after the longhaul flights, the body is in need of some tlc. Additionally, I appreciated the frequent gate change announcements, as well as updates concerning baggage and terminal changes. Having this information readily available made it much easier to navigate the airport and stay up-to-date with the latest information, eliminating any unnecessary stress or confusion. In summary, the George Bush Intercontinental Airport is a top-notch facility that prioritizes cleanliness, convenience, and customer satisfaction. From the variety of dining options to the friendly and helpful staff, this airport is definitely a prime destination for any traveler seeking a comfortable and seamless air travel experience.

More of a review of UNITED AIRLINES at Houston: Do NOT get a connecting flight from United here if you can avoid it at a bit more cost. The only times I have been stranded was at this airport. Absolutely no help or support in any form if your flight has been cancelled. Stranded once with 300 other people due to apparent traffic control AC smoke failure in Chicago. Also lost my luggage after being awake for 2 days unable to sleep or stay warm on the airport floor with no hotel or food comp at all. Particularly awful and inexcusable was an international flight to Japan through AMA, (organized by United but the international flight Japan's, not theirs.) Literally 10 mins after boarding time, 200 people, mostly Japanese, and no exaggeration at least 15 elderly Japanese people in wheelchairs were all suddenly told the flight was cancelled due to crew Covid. No way. If so, the ANA plane wouldn't have never left the country, or upon getting to America would have had several hours warning. and 24 hours "delay" is no longer a "delay". My company payed to re-book on another flight at cost because otherwise I would have missed a significant meeting and investment. I tried going to customer service on my own, but I was in line for 45 mins and it literally didn't move. One of the wheelchair bound Japanese elders was crying. I didn't blame her. Service is non existant and all those people are stuck in an airport no one speaks the language. And I doubt many of them had a room covered. And aside from personal experience: I live several states away where United Houston is a very common port, and i have had 3 other people tell me horror stories of being stranded at this airport with United too.

We went through this airport as a connecting flight from our vacation. Every single TSA agent that worked on 12/16 at night should be contacted about their behavior. Our flight was delayed to the point where the entire flight was rushing to get to their connecting flight. Families were separated in the chaos of security and baggage check. They were pleading to reconnect with their families to not miss their flights and were told quote “It’s not about you. The world does not revolve around you.” When we got to TSA, there was no pre-check. There was an elderly woman traveling alone in front of us, and she was yelled at to get back in line (which she did immediately). Then the TSA agent continued to yell at the woman by saying that she’s here for a reason and to not ignore her. When the TSA agents were supposed to be off, they closed down their lane, only leaving two lines for boarding for about 200 people. If people tried to talk to them, there was no explanation, they were just ignored. If people tried to rush in the boarding process to get to their flights on time, or basically asked the TSA agents to try and hurry; the agents were flagging the bags of those who were in rush and said something. Then they were taken back to the back room for interviews. We had all just come from another airport so I don’t understand why this was happening to 1/4 of us. We were not treated like human beings which was the most humiliating experience. This was the most horrific, disgusting, and unpleasant experience. I’ve been squished on time for other connecting flights, but these people were horrendous to their customers.

George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is one of the busiest airports in the United States, and it has played a vital role in the growth and development of Houston for over 50 years. Since IAH first opened its doors in 1969, it has undergone a number of transformations, both in size and scope. The airport has expanded to accommodate millions more passengers each year, and it now offers direct flights to destinations all over the world. IAH is also home to a number of innovative features and amenities, including a state-of-the-art international terminal and a variety of dining and shopping options. Despite its many challenges, IAH has remained a world-class airport, and it is a source of pride for Houstonians everywhere. The airport is a vital economic engine for the region, and it helps to connect Houston to the rest of the world. As a Houston resident for over 30 years, I have witnessed firsthand the evolution of IAH. I have seen the airport grow from a regional hub to a global gateway. I have also seen the airport adapt to changing needs and technologies. The airport is a testament to the resilience and ingenuity of the Houston community. It is a place where people from all over the world come together to experience the best that Houston has to offer. Ever-proud of our beloved airport and proud to be a Houstonian.

It is not my major hob . My trip took me form Tokyo to this airport and I had connection. There is enough good signage in the airport. It would have been better if not only directs to wherever you want to go like gates. But also gives you walk time. My Gate was 45 and I was getting read to run when I saw Gates 1-45, but in fact the first gate was 45, the reverse can happen to another passenger and can be painful.the choices for food and drinks are good. Bathrooms are kept clean. The line for #Customs and Border Control (CBA) was not long for a Christmas Eve, I guess 10-15 minutes. I have MPC App that is digital entry form filled. It’s free. Your line will be separate and you get cleared clearly. If you are standing in one of those long lines you think this line is for special people wrong we just have the App. You can fill the info as soon as the plane lands and gives you QR code. Anyways that could mean that you may not miss your next connecting flight if time is short. IAH is a large airport and I see many U items flights. Overall my experience for connection was avoid. See my photos and give a thumbs up if you find them and or the review helpful.

I’m a big fan of IAH. Nice and clean facilities, food is solid. Really easy to move between terminals. United staff are particularly accommodating. HOWEVER The construction (specifically at the international arrival pick up area) is causing constant and EXTREME delays. Add 100+ degree heat and angry passengers, then the situation becomes practically dangerous - particularly for the elderly or families with small children / lots of baggage. If you have to arrive internationally through IAH, make sure that your ride parks and walks over or take the underground tram to terminal C passenger pick up (good Uber facility there). DO NOT use the terminal E passenger pick up area. PS - shout out to the police officers for trying to wrangle that zoo. It’s not their fault - please be courteous. Follow up. The toilet situation is nasty. It’s essentially a fancy porta-potty sitting outside in 100+ heat. If you can walk 2-3 minutes, go through the tunnel (ocean themed?) over to the real restrooms in terminal D.

This airport has a lot of features! Unfortunately, I'm unable to leave a detailed review because I had a somewhat tight connection and had to make it from gate B to gate c. What I can say is, if you have a tight connection then be prepared to jog a little bit, and wait for the train because you'll have to board a shuttle train to get from gate B to gate a, c, D and I think there was a gate e. The train shuttle runs about every minute, but, as you can imagine if you're in a hurry a minute feels like an hour. It is nice that the bathrooms are actually accommodating of luggage in depth, but not too wide and the airport is generally relatively modern. You can come here to shop you can have a sit-down restaurant meal or fast food. Coming from the Pacific northwest, there are lots of food options that I have not seen. Unfortunately, not many plant-based options from what I saw running through the airport. I'll update this review on my next Excursion.

It used to be a great super easygoing and simple to navigate leaving or coming back but unfortunately it’s been a while where everything is messy and so unorganized! I understand the urgency and complexity of construction, new addition or remodeling but what is not acceptable is the poor operation and unorganized functions outside and inside! Not sure if it’s the overall airport operations or construction management but overall it’s still a terrible experience until they finish this mess. In addition to the previous review this airport police that control traffic on terminal E arrival is so corrupted and unprofessional. I never faced such a rude attitude! Public servant should be polite and respect people! We should be humiliated coming back home and in addition you cannot pull cars in to the handicapped area as you pleased or if you know someone! I have everything on tape and shame shame city of Houston, shame Sheriff department!

  • John D Robledo

IAH was such an utter disappointment as an airport. This was my first time in Texas but holy smokes this was the most disgusting place I have ever flown into. Everything was filthy, the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, my wife and I were so hungry but quickly lost our appetites as we tried to find a table and even though there was a worker cleaning they weren't actually cleaning anything. We quickly decided against getting any food for worry of getting sick. We got to our gate and the floor was sticky like in a bad movie theater, the seats looked like the had never been cleaned and it smelled like someone had relieved themselves into the seats. My wife had to go into the bathroom herself and came out freaked by how awful it was. The only good thing I saw about the airport was the ease of us moving from one terminal to another. We were relieved to get on our plane and out of this airport. This is a major airport. Do better!

Located 23 miles north of downtown Houston, George Bush International Airport is one of the biggest airports in the US and a hub to United Airlines where my partner, his family, our friends and I had a layover to and from Guadalajara. With different terminals A,B,C,D,E, make sure to plan accordingly depending on time if you have a connecting flight as it does take some time between terminals. There is enough good signage in the airport. Had a four hour layover here after an international flight. Returning back to the US from Mexico around 4pm, custom and border (immigration) was long but moving and out of there within 30 minutes with a “Welcome Home.” Overall, it’s a very clean airport. It felt huge but not crazy crowded. Atmosphere was nice and plenty of food choices. We had time so checked a few and decided on Southern Belle for takeout across from our gate. I recommend this airport to fly in and out .

Houston IAH Airport is one of the major international hubs and with this come various pros and cons. It’s a big airport and despite being quite spacious and with plenty of room, the design is not very passenger friendly. Arriving on international flights queues are never ending and way too few immigration officers. We had to wait over 2 hours to go past immigration. Then the transfer to domestic flights is another nightmare. Hundreds of passengers queuing for just 2 very slow security checks. If you are unlucky, you may have to walk 20 minutes from one terminal to another. There is an option to take inter terminal train, but that is also like 10 minutes walk to find, so most of people do t even bother. Otherwise good selection of quality restaurants and bars and fast food, few shops, something to kill time while waiting for flight.

Dropped my honey off here yesterday. Terminal c has some construction but they do it so well we still were able to drive right in and out. We've been here many times over last 2 decades and it's really laid out well with car parks, car cell phone lots, transport shuttles, etc. Once inside there are many restaurants, trams, shops, etc but still some gates can still be a walk. From here for business and pleasure I've been so lucky to travel so many places. Naming what I recall are Paris, Pau, Versailles, London, whales, Aberdeen, The Hague, Amsterdam, Atyrau Kazakhstan, Rome, Venice, Barcelona, Seoul, Busan, Geoji South Korea, Japan, Tapai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brisbane, Melbourne, Dubai, UAE, Abu Dhabi, Rio de Janerio, Macae, Mexico, Calgary, etc

  • Matt Hallett

This is the worst airport I've ever been to. The signage is non-existent to find exists, taxis, or rental cars. If you're from a city with taxis or public transit, forget about those options. It's all Uber and Lyft here. Perhaps renting a car is best, but I couldn't get to the kiosks to ask. The shuttle never arrived to get there so we gave up to get ground transport to the city center. The uber waiting area is a gong show, it's hard to imagine a more ridiculous setup to get people out of an airport and to their final destination. The fact this is all happening under construction of a new terminal is no excuse. Ive been to Santiago Chile after an earthquake, and it was better organized than this airport. The photo is of the uber and taxi pickup area.

  • Gretchen Ament

This airport is huge and a bit confusing. The C gates are not all together and there is a lot of walking involved. I would be a wreck if I had less than an hour to find the gate for a connecting flight. We had a 6 hour layover which was insanely exhausting. Our gate was changed an hour before our flight then we were told it might change again with only 15-20 minutes before boarding. Another plane was over an hour late departing with passengers already on board and the plane was at our gate. I don't know if it was just a rough day or if every day at this airport is chaotic but we were definitely on edge waiting to board our flight. Oh, and Landry's has terrible food.

This review is for terminal A. This airport is the largest one of the two main airports but not my favorite. Restrooms lack attention and personnel not attentive to needs. The lines do go fast during check in but always give yourself travel time. Picking people arriving can be hectic especially weekends and the officers directing traffic are very unpleasant. Picking up at baggage claim is not very organized and have waited for over an hour to get my luggage when arriving on a late flight that had a layover. There is also construction going on around the airport which does not make it easy to drop off or pickup.

  • Dov Chastain

Flew in and out of terminal A. Coming in I got a rental car. To get one, go to baggage claim and exit Door A-115, then you take the shuttle to the rental car center about 5 min away. On my way back, I dropped off the car and took the shuttle back easily. Make sure to take the shuttle to your terminal, as they are far apart. I noticed the security check point line on the north side of terminal A was significantly shorter than the south side and you can get through to either side once you clear security. I also only saw tsa precheck on the north side. I took pics of the shops and gates on the north side. Enjoy.

  • Demental One

It was an average airport. The people there were friendly. The chairs around the terminals are comfortable. They do not have charging stations built in for every other seat, like a lot of other updated airports. There are standing charging kiosks spaced around the waiting areas, though. If you are hungry, the food selection is good with everything from salads to burgers. This was all on the "B" terminal. All the restrooms utilized were clean and kept up with. Every automatic sink, towel dispenser, and soap dispenser appeared to work without any issues. Overall, this was a decent airport to pass through.

  • Sue Gary

The construction at this airport is making it nearly impossible to navigate. To fly out of Terminal E, you have to check bags at Terminal C. But the information to tell you is not obvious. The passenger pick-up lines are ridiculous, and the lane attendants just stand there and yell at people to keep moving. Hard to move and watch for your passenger that needs the pick-up at the same time. And the parking structure has those little red and green lights that show where spaces are available, but they don't work! There were green lights all over that had cars parked in the spaces. It's horrible here.

Location: one of the few places you could put an airport in this car-centric city, ruining convenient access for both residents and tourists. Facilities: no shortage of restaurants, bathrooms, stores, or water fountains. Cleanliness: surprisingly well kept for how large it is. Security: was not an impediment and moved efficiently. Efficiency: except for United bag drop off, very well done from security to boarding. Transportation: better have someone picking you up or have your own vehicle ready. Overall: A surprisingly painless travel experience despite the construction, size, and TSA.

  • Carlos Tigreros

Poor excuse of an airport, specifically the entire United Airlines section. That entire terminal is not even finished, bare floors without carpeting, roofless ceilings, and worse of all no heating. It was freezing in that entire terminal on December 22, 2022. So much so that travelers were forced to use blankets, gloves, and jackets to keep warm as they waited for their flights. Despite these poor conditions of a terminal that is not even completed, United Airlines and the Houston Airport have the gall to get paid by travelers when there is not a suitable terminal for those traveling.

  • Robert P.

I would have given four stars for the departure experience even with the construction. Arrival experience was not good with flight arriving at the F terminal and luggage at C terminal. Lots of walking and poor signage. After leaving, I asked an airport officer when zone 4 was for a parking shuttle. Walked way down to where he said only to find no shuttles. Asked another officer there whete to go and she pointed me back to where I just was. I also got to see my shuttle stop and almost leave before I could get back up there. Resolved not to use that airport again.

  • Ovidio Echeverria

When you travel, expect to get lost. (If you know how to not get lost here, then good.) The place is very big, and that's the problem if you're not familiar with the airport like me, but with the helpful employees, they will guide you (or those travel cars). There are lots of stores for snacks or basic necessities for your flight or restaurants to choose from, like Wendy's, STARBUCKS, or Panda Express. There are many gates to different places. (Also, sometimes the gates will be packed with people, or people will not line up like the employees are.)

  • Samone Jones

I enjoyed this airport, it’s top tier airport experience. First it beautiful. As you are walking through you feel as though you’ve happened upon - one after the other high class exhibits or museums, which I appreciate. It speaks of how they understand the large amount of time people spend in the airport but they are making it a quality and enriching experience. Excellent and even occasional legit healthy food choices as well. These are great cuisine restaurants you would have visited even if you weren’t in the airport. Great job Houston!

  • Richard Cortez

Had a bit of confusion navigating due to ongoing construction, with minimal instructions provided. Suggest adding signs inside the airport clarifying that Terminals E and C are the same, avoiding unnecessary train rides. On the positive side, the Houston Airport (IAH) staff were incredibly helpful and polite. They assisted me with directions throughout, and even when I faced issues exiting the parking lot, the staff went above and beyond to resolve the situation. Overall, a good experience with excellent staff support.

  • erick lopez

This airport is huge to the point that you have to take the train between terminals or walk very quickly since the gates can be a 30-minute walk away. It is a combination between the oldest and the newest, it shows when changing from one terminal to another, I liked it because for the elderly or with disabilities there are carts that transport them through the airport since, as I said, it is very large. Many airlines operate, however it is noticeable that it is an airport that almost all belongs to United

  • Karen Stalbow

This airport is chaos if you have a connecting flight. Not only do you need to go through immigration, you also have to go back through security. This is despite not having left the airport at any point after landing at it. So many people missed flights because of the chaos and the long, long immigration and security queues. Staff didn’t care and did nothing to help people through. I’ve travelled the world and for the first time, I’m unwilling pass or travel through this airport AGAIN..

  • Aasim Waheed

Normally an okay airport compared with most other international airports. I would normally have given it a 3 or 4 star rating. Right now it gets a 2-star due to the poor passenger pickup management at international arrivals, and also because of the hassle the construction has created in and around the airport. I really hope the airport managememt completes the construction quickly and even in the meantime find a better way to manage traffic, specially at passenger pickup at terminal E

  • Jeremy Hanna

No dedicated TSA in terminal d. Only two lanes open and VERY SLOW. Terrible IE no organization. Peak hours are insanely congested with both people and vehicle traffic. The rental car center shuttle bus driver didn't take us to terminal C just said to get off and take the train unless we wanted a long wait. Toilets are nasty in terminal D KLM lounge and the AC in half the C and D building doesn't work well. Feels like a 3rd world airport aka the old la Guardia

  • Marjiya Musa

My arrival experience at Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Terminal E was overall positive. While there was construction and expansion work in progress, the wait for personal car pick-up was quite long. However, I was impressed by the excellent wheelchair facilities and the high level of care and support provided by the airport's dedicated team. This made my experience at George Bush Airport stand out compared to other international airports.

  • Nikolai Mannsfeld

I really love this airport. Airport clean, very nice staff, very organized security at each concourse, and awesome selection of food at the United club, and inside the airport. And very easy to get to the rental car shuttle. I flown here since 2016 and especially with the road work, I have 0 complaints. The elevators are in an EXCELLENT condition as well. So, all in all, AWESOME airport. My #1 favorite airport out of all the rest. Solid 5 stars.

  • Richard Ribicki

Been through here a lot of late. It's quite manageable to transfer to gates between terminals on foot without much effort. There are many F&B outlets, should you not have access to an airline lounge. The smoky BBQ aroma can be quite inviting. Some gates are compact and offer little seating, but many are a bit more commodious. I really don't mind connecting here at all. The Amex Centurion and UA Polaris lounges are great for longer layovers.

  • Shar Aubrey

A bit inconvenient due to the renovations; the gate I boarded from had very limited seating due to the reconstruction. So prepare that you may have to stand waiting for flight depending on which gate you board from. But otherwise it was okay. I did enjoy looking at the various artifacts displayed throughout the terminal. As I walked to gate to catch my flight, the most beautiful sunset captivated me. I had to stop to capture that moment.

  • Heather Enayat

This strictly applies to dining experience. They have a new system that forces you to scan a QR code. You have to use that app to order. Hard to find good service and then put in all your information to pay. They probably sell the info too. Extremely disappointing to the point I will do my best to avoid transits through here. Anyone not fluent in English or tech savvy would not be able to eat. The practice seems highly discriminatory.

  • Sophia N

09/16/2023: IAH’s international arrival area is a joke. It’s such a hot mess, since this is not my home airport. I get construction, but making it very unclear where to pick up international passengers is completely unclear. There is zero temporary road signage telling where to go. I had to ask an employee since I was at the wrong terminal. There is no parking to get passengers except for blocking a partially blocked off 3 lane road.

  • Stephen Cann

IAH is a very large, somewhat confusing but clean airport. Due to construction, some areas are inaccessible or only accessible from other terminals. For example, for all flights departing from E gates, you need to enter through Terminal D. The rental car center is about 2 miles from the terminals and the only way to get there is on a shuttle bus that runs every 6-7 minutes. There is a good selection of nice restaurants and bars.

  • M M

Horrible service with united airlines at houston Delayed, delayed and cancelled our flight. Spent the whole night standing in line with customer service, which couldn't help me. My 5 yo daughter slept on the floor of the dirty airport, was not even offered a cot. Then, I got on another line to claim my baggage, only to find out they are not retrieving any baggage for 24 hours. Best thing I did was drive out of there

  • Sundra Deleon

Parking is fantastic and very simple. Only suggest that would make it dummy proof is arrows on the floor how to get to an elevator. The airport itself is great and friendly. TSA is also friendly. They felt me up for free. No lunch or dinner on them, but I did get a "random" pat down after my screen was green and said clear. They get 5 stars for going above and beyond. Can't be too careful these days right.

  • Elma Imamovic

Flew in to drive to Galveston and my goodness did I fall in love with this airport! This airport made me feel like I was in a park! It’s so lush and green, very well taken care of, and super easy to navigate. I had no issues getting to my rental or getting back later at the end of my trip. Big airport with friendly staff! There is some construction going on too so check your flight status and set up alerts!

  • Fred Valov

Airport was terrible! This was my layover coming from an international trip. Their Global entry was down so I had to go through regular customs, then no TSA Pre in the screening area to get to my connecting flight. I spent the whole two hours of my layover in lines. I finally got to my gate as they were calling the last group to bored. Place is a joke. LAX is far better, as hard as that is to say, than IAH!

  • mallesh satti

It's a big airport n has different terminals like A,B,C,D,E. The idea is to reduce the crowd, once checked in all the same places, well maintained Airport n very strict security check, very spacious, all basic amenities well maintained...many duty free shops available. Well many hotels n shopping things are there. Well free wifi also available. Toilets are well maintained...Overall a good airport...

  • Valen del Blanco

It was not a satisfactory experience. Most of the airport was dirty and in repairs, which generated a rather unpleasant visual appearance. Beyond that, in some areas the air conditioning was so cold that you couldn't stay in it, while in others there was no air conditioning and you couldn't stay in the heat. And the televisions that detailed the information did not show all the flights.

  • Aquila Insurance

Airport construction has made it nearly impossible to get around the airport. You can't park in the terminal your flight arrives / departures so you have to give 2 1/2 hrs at the airport to ensure you find a spot and get to your gate on time. Which they are MORE than happy because I heard statistics show the longer you're at the airport, the more money you spend at the shops and food

  • Samson Williams

Could not figure out how to get to the Uber / baggage claim. There is construction going on amd zero thought has been given to signage and UX while construction is going on. Took me 35 minutes to figure out how to get out the airport to order an Uber. I fly about once a month so I'm assuming other people get lost in this maze of non-signage. Hopefully they finish construction soon.

  • عبدالله ABDULLAH

A big airport , train system connect thep terminals . Nice architecture, clean, bright, good ambience. Smooth process through security and immigration. TSA check in one terminal only. Clear signs everywhere. Good variety of products, services and facilities. Restaurants and Cafe's, lounges, children play areas, gift and souvenir shops, travel accessories and much more.

  • Jenie Priyanka

Very nice and clean airport. It’s very big very good staffs work here. Make sure to reach the airport two hours earlier because they will not let you go in. I had to reach one hour earlier, but they did not let me check in so I basically missed my flight and lost $2000.. it’s a very busy airport. The baggage collection is a bit far from where the flight lands.

  • Alex

I've flown all over the world, and the George Bush Intercontinental airport I n houston is top tier. Everything from the cleanliness to the food options and the NASA paraphernalia littered throughout the terminals is amazing. Security checkpoints were handled in a professional and timely matter, and being able to see the historical displays was an added bonus

  • Mike Schramm

Well laid out airport. Customs & Immigration efficient. No TSA Pre line clearing Customs and bag recheck. Pro tip, hustle 10 min walk to Terminal D, no lines, no waiting. Lots of terminal construction, looks like a big, well run project. No impact to travel experience for us. United Club in Terminal E continues to provide high-level of service.

  • Frank

Coming from Philly, this is a real beautiful airport. We arrived from Galveston five hours early as we disembarked from our cruise early in the morning. There was much to do here in terms of food options, places to sit comfortably and charge electronics. The whole family boys and girls ages 8, 12, 18 and 40 didn’t complain about the wait once

  • Sthef

This airport is huge!! There are 5 terminals from A to E. Many restaurants for any type of food, and inside the airport there is a Marriott Hotel. You can use the shuttle system to move between each terminal. Air Canada is in Terminal A, while United Airlines is in B&E. There is a special Uber pickup area at each terminal. Enjoy your flight!

  • Jason Goh

At its currrent state, leaves little to be desired. No floors, no ceilings - see photos We were here for a transit. We were impressed with the speed of customs and baggage claims and tsa checks. However very little restaurants once you are passed the tsa checks. For us transiting, there was very little restaurant choice. Toilets are clean.

  • josefina duende

Arrival: Seamless, quick arrival. Staff helped me to order a taxi after asking for help. Bathrooms could be updated. Departure: They say they are under renovations and so it's hard to judge how terrible the wait in a terminal can be when it's old, falling apart, there nowhere to charge or eat food... but! The seats were new and comfy.

  • Digital Sparks

Embarking on a tranquil journey, George Bush Intercontinental Airport offers a quiet and seamless experience. The facility's excellence resonates, providing travelers with a haven of efficiency and comfort. From its well-designed terminals to efficient services, it stands as a testament to the epitome of air travel convenience.

  • Tina G

Clean, near, easy to get around. Lots of restaurants and places to spend time while you wait for your flight. We had a first class United lounge access which was great. They kept a huge crowd fed with lots of meal items (sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts, tea, coffee) All airport staff was helpful and accommodating.

This is not a very nice airport. Everything is outdated, especially the restrooms. I don’t like the way the A3E gate is set up. You go down into what is a hole full of people. There is barely enough room to line up. Two positives- the tsa pre check went fast and the Jack In The Box has good breakfast sandwiches.

  • Colin

I use this airport frequently any usually get through customs quickly. Unfortunately, it seems every restaurant is owned by the same company and there is not much variation between restaurants and choices of food or drinks. It is ocr scan and it takes you to same order page regardless of restaurant.

It's the biggest out of 2 Houston major commercial Airports. So you really have no options. You are either departing or arriving from here! Expect some traffic as construction is in full swing! The great news, we are building you more parking spaces in the domestic side of the airport. Your welcome.

  • Adam T

This is a BIG airport with several terminals. The negative points are crowded security checkpoints and construction activity in the airport. Positive points are that the airport is organized very well, it is clean, and has lots of upscale restaurants. This airport is one of the best in the world.

  • Begum Saygecitli

Texas airports are always big and not packed. Passengers have enough space to wait, dine and shop. Variety of stores and restaurants to choose. You feel you are in America when you wander around in the airport. Waiting areas for the planes are not crowded as well and well organized. …

  • Camila

Terminal E Arrivals the Passenger Pick up HORRIBLE!!! 45+ min on a night that was not even busy for arrivals, customs was swift. Still waiting…these traffic control personnel need some serious training or whoever designed the shuttle pick up to be near the passenger pick up sucks.

  • Willie Mac

It's September, and the temperature was 100 degrees.. lol.. I think the Houston Airport has the best food spots.. Just my opinion.. lol, shout out to the good, hard-working people and those who get up every day and bust their Tails to provide a safe traveling experience for us ..

  • Young Juhn

Always in construction, therefore very confusing. baggage claim not by flight numbet but by airline. Completely separate Exit area for pickup, shuttle, taxi etc. so be careful. I think once the construction is over it will be nicer just like LAX that took years of construction.

  • AC Liles III

Airport is undersized for the amount of flight traffic. Concourse was very crowded. Limited seating while waiting for your flight to board. Some boarding lines were lined out into the main aisle of the concourse. The furniture was worn and dated. Some seats had visible cracks.

  • Beau Brant Piano

Great airport to connect the world- beautiful renovations and very modern. Can connect to most places in South America, Europe Asia and Middle East- Train is fantastic inside of security to connect to all the terminals. A fantastic airport for the US and global travel markets!

  • Judith Pavon

This airport is very unorganized. Employees are rude and unprofessional. The restrooms are very dirty and smell bad. Not enough seating in gate areas. Food and beverages are overpriced. Parking is a mess and not enough. I will probably avoid this airport if possible

  • Laura Cooley

Feels homey and isn't too crowded. You can always find a place to chill. Lots of restaurants. Coffee shops always available. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Tons of natural light. Interesting art exhibits. Sometimes birds get in, but most airports have that issue.

  • J STEPHEN WILLIAMS

Nice airport with plenty of dining options. Easy to navigate with the tram or walk between terminals. Plan accordingly depending on layover time to connecting flight as it does take some time between terminals depending on whether you're walking or riding the tram.

  • Raúl Ortiz

Beautiful and modern airport. The only bad thing is that the security checkpoint is so slow , maybe needs more lanes for the quantity of people in this airport. So if you gonna travel here, consider the time in the security checkpoint for avoid delays in your trip

  • Vlad Tanieiev

I had it in my head that in Texas everyone wore hats and shoes with spurs. Well, either the locals don’t support their history, or it’s the fault that the airport is national. So: I found only one person at the airport who looked a little like a guy from Texas))

  • Jonathan Rascoe

For one of the largest, busiest, and under co struction airports, travel in and out was not bad during this trip. Be sure to leave a little early for the journey between terminals that you may have to take. There are also numerous restaurants in the terminals.

  • Thomas Walker

Bush Airport never fails me, it’s always clean and has a lot of options for food. Whenever I have a connecting flight everything always goes smooth and the airport staff are helpful and friendly. Definitely one of the better airports I’ve been in.

  • waran dv

IAH has improved significantly in the last 5 years. I am amazed to see nice restobars, self ordering kiosks, workstations, and several other features in the airport. The connection between terminals has also vastly improved with a lot of signage.

  • Christian Heyward

The enterprise crew was nice. The restaurant near terminal A26 was great! Good food and customer service. The airport transporter, Manuel, ‍♂️. Efficient but I had to ask him several times to stop hitting people. Overall, nice airport. …

  • Alton Ng

Horrible traffic due to construction. There is no room for traffic at all. Waited 30 mins to get to the terminal only to be whisked away because the passenger was a minute away from the door. Now I am forced to circle the entire complex again.

  • Joseph Nguyen

I went here as a layover on Christmas 2022. The transfer was very satisfying and the airport was very neat and stylish. I really liked the restrooms. They were clean. Would not mind coming here again. (these photos were taken Christmas 2022)

  • K M

The absolute WORST airport experience. How many lines and security checks are necessary for a connecting flight? Customs before arriving, customs after arriving, 2 additional security checks and another 2 screenings before you can even get

  • Austin Yochus

Apparently TSA is only in terminal A. Service was pretty fast and friendly. Whole airport is under construction and some gates are removed, messing up the number system. The lounges have been affected/move but they are still available. The

  • Stephanie S.

Hands down my favorite layover for United flights. All concourses can be walked to, or, there are trains. Both options are a must for any major airport. Plenty of dining, shops, including Pappadeux in the E gates. If Houston is your final

  • Dennis Draeger

They aren't exactly fond of international travelers. However, there are lots of restaurants to choose from once you get through all of the necessities. There are also loads of shops to help pass the time. Apart from that, keep your head

  • Javier Venci Gonzalez

This is probably the worst administered airport in the world. Construction has been ongoing for years with no end in sight. The roads would benefit from a fresh coat of paint and better locations for airport signs. There is no point in

  • Andy W.

Most disgusting airport I have visited. Had a layover here from Tokyo. It's insane how Tokyo, the biggest city in the world, has pristine airports, and then you come back to Houston and there's trash all over, gold fish crumbs in the

  • David Gibson

The airport was outdated but listening to Eddie Akhmetchine while waiting made my visit to the airport an easy 5 star trip. If you live in the Houston area and get a chance to see or book Eddie for an event, do it. Great performance.

  • Diane Harris

We transited here from New Zealand back to the UK and our experience of the security process both entering and leaving the US was awful, mainly due to the security personnel and what a poor advert for the USA they are. There is no

  • Karnika Tripathi

IAH is one of the major airports in the US. But it's not very vibrant or passenger friendly. Very few options for shopping and eating too. During entry, the customs and immigration is a huge issue with wait time of 2.5-3 hours.

  • Jeff Axup

All amenities such as restaurants and bars shut down at about 9:30 pm even though flights continue to depart until 2am. Restaurants and bars in airports should be open 24 hrs. Even Bogota airport does better than George Bush.

  • Annette Goh

The airport is undergoing extensive renovations, and the glimpse of its potential magnificence is already evident. Eagerly anticipating the completion of the expansion and the incorporation of the exciting new changes.

  • Sonia Orellana Loustalet

I like this airport, and the food court for their variety. We were coming from El Salvador, and to transfer the bags was quick. A long wait on the immigration process, they need more people to have a faster service.

  • mohina kulkarni

Excellent airport...but too many Terminal seeing construction work. Would have preferred the 22 minutes walk for all Terminals...but got impressed by the subway...which is not easy. Lot of shopping..eating..lounges

  • Sultan alnawmasi

A huge airport, costumer service very helpful. Too many people, restaurants, coffees(not that much good )… else. Even parcels of the area is under renovation, but they are still serving people in their departure.

  • Justin Villa

Massive airport. Lots to see an do, we got here early and explored. Definitely got our steps in. I'd eat at the more affordable food places like panda express. Since it can be pricey at other restaurants.

  • Christal Jones

I have lived in Houston for 18 years now. We have two airports (George Bush Airport and Hobby Airport). We fly outta both! Christmas time at IAH and no lines in security That never happens! …

  • Deva Eloquentdeva

Not the easiest and the seating is limited in your area. I did not like the boarding process in terminal C, kind of chaotic. Good food places was a plus. The lighting in the skyline area was nice.

  • Shadowlexx McRocklin

Like anywhere you go, If you never been there get ready to lost. Some assoc are happy to help, a lot are annoyed to even speak. TSA personal were great though. Our Sun Country assoc were great.

  • M.G

It's a great airport the reason for my 1 star is the food court tables they needed cleaning and my wife ended up cleaning it because the lady was to busy on her phone, please see picture.

  • Diego Rodriguez

Huge well organized airport. Flying from terminal E was surprisingly easy and fast. Security was almost empty. There is no need to take liquids out. Enough food choices after security.

  • Lorena Gaytán

My experience started from rental car return to terminal D, and they have a good transportation good attention from personnel, and when I arrived to terminal D it was clean and neat.

  • Jerri

So first time ever flying into IAH. Heard horror stories about the foot traffic. Let me say everything was so accessible. Fast in and out. For a major city I was definitely impressed

  • Shem Ishler

TSA lines are goofy. Luggage takes a long time to hit. Rental car center is a ways out and slow getting out of. Plenty of services inside. Lots of connections and direct flights.

  • Khalid Khan (Kingkhan)

Traveling from Houston to Doha went through the D terminal. Very pleasing experience. Lots of improvements and additions. Nice restaurants and shops with interesting products.

  • J W

Enjoyed flying out of this airport while vacationing in Houston. All signage is clearly visible and all the staff that I encountered during my visit were friendly and helpful.

  • Joshua James

This place is a super busy airport so brace yourself and be sure to look at the airport map before you pass through so you know where you are going and don't miss your flight
