where do I begin about how horrible this place is! They have the fog machine shooting in your face all night long so you can't even see and it's probably giving you a respiratory infection breathing all that propylene glychol in. The strobe lights are going constantly to the point that you can't even see where the people are around you and I got knocked in the head by someone and had to get ice. The strobe lights were going so constantly right in your face you couldn't make eye contact with anyone or meet anyone. Someone give the lighting designer a clue! What are they thinking?! We came to dance with and meet each other - not dance completely enveloped in a fog cloud by ourselves! When I asked an employee of they could chill out the fog machines, since people can't see each other and I got hit in the head, he very rudely said this is just what a club is like. The music was the worst I've ever heard in my life, so repetitive, and I couldn't hardly make myself stand up to it much less dance. Drinks or $15 so I just refused. Wow how much worse can you possibly get. I feel sorry for anybody who goes there and thinks that this is a good place to go. you know nothing.

My coat and several of my items were stolen from the employees of this venue. I paid to check my stuff in and they provided a ticket and instructed me to take a picture of the ticket in case something happens to the ticket. When I tried to retrieve my belongings, they couldn’t find my items and my stuff was gone. I got really upset and the manager, check-in guys, and security took no responsibility and had absolutely no empathy for my stuff getting stolen. They pretty much said it was my fault because I didn’t have my ticket... but I provided the picture that THEY instructed me to take. And I wasn’t the only one that this happened to. A couple of other people had their stuff missing as well. I will never go to this venue again and whatever you do, DO NOT support this establishment whose employees straight up rob you!!!

Overall great venue, has a LOT of potential if: 1. Earplugs are free (pls n ty, or at least not as inaccessible as “cash only, no atms inside”) 2. In the main room, why is everyone in the booth constantly filming the crowd? If ur gonna be filming to promote, you should AT LEAST have some disclaimer. The literal CONSTANT filming from ppl not even dancing for the entire time i was there for, felt very intrusive towards fostering that “safe and inclusive” space. It’s a diff story if people in the crowd are filming-because that is (more so) out of ur control, but the ppl behind the booth? Otherwise, loved the space, lighting and soundsystem. I really did overall love my time here, just those couple points would’ve made it even btr :) (Not complaining, just a genuine piece of constructive feedback)!

Everything inside was great. Your man checking tickets was on a power trip and killed the vibe. Very aggressive. Then person working the coat check took our tickets and never gave us our coats. Man at the door outrightly targeted my friend for doing nothing while waiting to get our coats. Told us we needed to leave because he didn’t think we were waiting for our coats. After yelling at him that were not leaving until we get our coats he backed off. Then of course, the man at the coat check took our ticket and never gave back a $400 coat. When trying let him know he said it wasn’t his problem. Ya’ll crooks and can’t wait till you close down.

The door staff here are not friendly. A couple get on major power trips. I get it - your job sucks, but you are really killing the vibe at feel-good parties like 718 Sessions. It’s 2024 no need to treat people like cattle. Bathroom situation is untenable. If you get a drink just get in line because by the time you get to the front you’ll have to pee. Coat check leads to 2 hour lines. They oversell tickets so there’s no room to dance. No one goes here any more for these reasons and more.

Unsafe venue. There were no metal detectors at security. I went on Sat night at 12am, they indicated coat check was full. To me, this signaled the venue was overcapacity. Upstairs, there was no room to move in either room. Management most certainly sold more tickets than alloted by FDNY fire code regulations. All you need is one altercation in this venue (i.e. someone with a weapon) and this is a stampede waiting to happen. Never going back.

Dark. Crowded. Always a fun time if thats tbe vibe youre looking for. It was almost like dueling djs in there. Music was on point. 30$ cover is rough but I guess that's the going rate these days. The bad room didn't smell nearly as sweaty as other times I've been there. I wonder if they've changed the ventilation because that's how noticeable the change was. Maybe it was just coincidence .

i love good room so much, but they need to get it together. the line is always such a disaster, even for people with tickets. also, coat check, what is the point of having a coat check if you are just going to close it one hour after opening? it makes me sad to say this, but the process it takes to get inside is almost not worth going. the people at the door are so insanely condescending and rude. bathrooms are always absolutely disgusting, but this is how it’s always been.

Lots of fun, except *HOLD ON TO YOUR PHONE TIGHTLY*! A bunch of phones get stolen from here basically every night, apparently, including mine recently. Taken right out of my (zipped!) bag while I was dancing. Obviously not the venue’s fault, but maybe they could have better security/deterrents. Something to be wary of, regardless. The police told me it’s becoming more and more of an issue and that it happens all the time there (as well as other nearby venues), so watch out.

went to the good room for the first time yesterday, and i had a lot of fun! djs were great, it was crowded but i wasn’t uncomfortable, and i like that the bar is separate from the dance floors. the only thing i wish was slightly different is the fog. i love the look a fog machine provides, and obviously they’re common at clubs, but sometimes it can be too much. i wish they would tone it down here just a bit, because it was a bit hard to breathe at times.

It's a pretty nice spot. You can sit, get on the dance floor, the bar is isolated from the dance floor which I always like, the sound quality is dope and so are the lights, atmosphere felt dark at first and then chill (which I want some nights), the place feels like a cool private party that's not too crowded... Drinks could be cheaper so that's the only negative I encountered. Worthy place to keeping in mind

Waited in line in the cold for 20 minutes, had our IDs checked, no problem. Once inside, a lady basically hustled us $30 immediate cash no exception per person ($150) to go up inside the bar, realized they were hosting a pride event, came back down, would not refund us when we explained we were just going to head out and the security literally physically threw us out on the street and refused to refund us.

  • nomie2g

This spot is damn near perfect. We came two hours after the event started. Found street parking a block away. The door staff were friendly. There was plenty of cozy seating available. Loved the lights and the dance floor. Also, loved that most people actually came to dance. The djs played a mixture of deep and soulful house music which I can appreciate. Drinks were good. Unisex bathroom was clean.

Good Room is my new favorite club in NY. It’s not so big that it’s overwhelming and not so small that you cannot lose your self. The sound system is top notch. There is a main room and a smaller dance floor as well in the “Bad Room” as well as a roomy bar. Drinks are well made and not overpriced. If you are looking for a great night out and the music is what drives you, Good Room is the real deal

The best night out I've had in a while was here. One of the most painful days I've had in a while followed. We caught Ten Snake for his set on a Friday night. The place was crowded, but not painfully so. The crowd was respectful and the vibe was good. The drinks were strong. The lighting was dark in the best way. The sound was impressive. Not much more you can ask for. Will definitely be back!

I went to this spot alone 7/21/18 and it was one of the best nights of my life. The crowd is lively (and abundant), the music was great all around - and if you’re not feeling the vibe in the good room, then buckle up for the bad room. Bar drinks are slightly on the pricey side, but they’re strong and the bartenders are very attentive. I will definitely be coming back soon!

Great place. Staff was friendly, pretty laid back. The atmosphere is one of my favorites. Disco ball is gorgeous with the lights and lasers bouncing off. The Bad Room is a nice place to cool off and relax for a bit. I'd say the icon is the sound system. Phenomenal sound here. Tight space, so it gets quite packed, but it's a good place to escape reality for a bit!

Classic Brooklyn EDM club. Loud, dark, full of fog and flashing lights, and a mesmerizing mess. DJ was awesome. Extremely unpretentious. Basically the opposite of meatpacking: no one is here to see / be seen, and it’s all about getting down with the weird techno vibes. Don’t expect top 40 here… and that’s not a bad thing. It’s a shame it’s closing forever soon.

20.00 entry fee An atm from TD bank is usually used. LED lighting and smoke makes the place seem like it's coming straight out of a movie. ✨ But the music on a Saturday night could be way better, especially for the cover. Might as well just take a trip to the city to be charged the same at the door, but have better music. Drinks are okay, nothing crazy.

One of the hand full of places I check out if I want to have a full NYC experience. Coat check, strong drinks (water station for the non drinkers), two dance rooms (Good Room/Bad Room) and AMAZING DJ’S that close out the night, well into the morning. For those that need to lose themselves to dance

The place is awesome with great DJs spinning and the sound system is amazing! But what got me really annoyed, is that I ordered shots titos for my friends and I yesterday and I took the shot of titos, and it tasted like some cheap vodka they poured in the titos bottle because it definitely DID NOT TASTE LILE TITOS. Fix this

It’s an amazing space for people who enjoy EDM and it’s a very safe place as well. The people there were super nice and it wasn’t that crowded. It’s a mustttt if you really like EDM and just wanna get lost in the moment!

1 star for no reentry after 3am. No warning either. I paid money to be here and if I have to get some fresh air I shouldn't not be allowed back in. Guard didn't care and it was just really poor and rude customer service.

One of the best dance spots in the city. If you don’t like the tunes in one of the rooms, then just go to the other one: guaranteed loveliness. The staff all embody the “built by music lovers for music lovers” mantra. Also, there’s a Chihuly. What??!!!!!! So beautiful.

  • Avi Bortnick

Great sound, good layout, unpretentious vibe, good DJs. Wish they had ac in the vinyl room, though. And men's bathroom...well you want to get out as fast as possible.

Carry nation night had a great disco/house vibe. If you’re from LA, it’s similar to RHONDA when it first started out. I would recommend, but it does get hot and sweaty (in a good way).

GREAT MUSIC $30 cover- worth it. Started to get packed around 11/11:30. Good drinks! 2 different rooms with different dj’s, both were great. Loved how Smokey and foggy the atmosphere was- would definitely come back!!!

  • Billy Gray

Friendly vibe, good music, prices aren't obscene by NYC standards. But it can get seriously overcrowded during certain parties (eg Carry Nation) and sauna-level hot. An investment in decent AC is desperately needed.

  • Zoe Scourtes

Good club with good sound system. If you buy on the RA app, it is cheaper, which I recommend. The two rooms really make a difference and make it such a great club, you get some variety and the DJS are always solid

  • Fabian Förster

Way too crowded, can't do coat check so you are running around with jacket and can't have fun. Queue for bathroom takes ages and feels like you're getting crunched all the time. Definitely not recommended

  • Elise C.

One of my favorite club in New York! If you love house / EDM, you will love it too. Cool people, not too pricey, 2 rooms to change the vibe if needed. Always the best DJs.

  • Morgan Lindsey

Music was too loud, crowd control wasn’t good. Place deff needs more AC it was so stuffy/steamy. The bartenders are great tho and made my experience more enjoyable.

I like going to the gold room , every time Reese I think that’s her name makes sure we good when we in there

Great artist selection, perfectly done lights most nights, fun vibes. Best club in nyc for dancing and seeing any electronic/house/techno/disco music!

  • Caitlin Walter

If I could give place this a zero I would. Please do not go before 11 pm. Waste of money was dead and vibe was giving hell.

  • Ethan Schultz

Wonderful spot, so much fun, but the music is dangerously loud. Bring earplugs or you will get hearing damage.

  • Michael Jaemin Kim

Wonderful place; music was great, the lighting and the fog was also great, and the bartenders were awesome.

  • Kyler Ramsey

Good music, good environment, maybe just a little too trendy for my taste.
