The thing about Goodlife is they've become too large for their own good. There is a disconnect between corporate and the front line staff and that disconnect leaves customers feeling like it's a little too clinical now. Where did the warm friendly empowered staff go? Why so much turnover and pressure to sell sell sell? Honeslty I've been a member for 13 years and am now leaving in disappointment. The rates continue to climb packaged with so called benefits we don't even want! Just let me pay for what I want! This isnt cable television, which not surprisingly isnt popular anymore. Take a hint. Disconnecting the real in person EMPOWERED customer service to a cold impersonal 1-800 line is NOT the answer! They aren't empowered either! You've become greedy Goodlife and frankly I'm encouraged to see all the lower priced gyms take a chunk of your business. The market always proves who is right and you failed to listen. Why are you then last longer rid of contractual obligations. I guess big ships take longer to turn around. Anyway no effort was made to save my business whatsoever, even after a talk with one of the managers. I was promised a follow up call which never happened. Try talking to a minimum wage paid customer sales rep in between her texting. Shaking my head here. I tried, I really tried and gave you a lot of money over 13 years. C'est la vie.

I joined this Goodlife a week ago and so far I've been pleasantly surprised. It's a bit expensive, but you do get quite a bit of equipment, service, and facilities. The sign up process is fairly straightforward, you walk in, talk to one of the desk people and they'll sort you out. The layout of the space is not quite as logical as it could be, and they do have a lot going on, but it's not bad. The only thing that would make it better for me is having a pool but they have a sauna, hot yoga, and cycling rooms, as well as regular classes and a dedicated area for PTs and their clients. The weight rack is extensive and has increments of half weights so not only are there enough weights for everybody, there are enough variations that you should be able to find something you can lift. There also a lot of benches, although their benches are weird and not what I'm used to at all. There is also only one Smith machine, which I don't think is enough at all. There are a lot of power racks though. I also like that they're open 24hrs, and there's a car park outside. Definitely check it out.

I’ll say definitely I like GoodLife in other areas but never in this area. I purchased my 7 sessions personal training classes in February and no one never tell me I can only get the refund in 10 days, what they say is if you don’t use any sessions I can get my refund anytime. Today the fitness manager called me and I was just discussing this with her, she is the rudest person I ever seen my life she just said it is rules and when I’m talking, she hang out the phone and said goodbye immediately totally ignoring what I said. The other manager is pretty rude as well as I explain the whole thing to her. I have never seen any service who treat customers like this in my whole life. I’ll say I really like GoodLife in other areas but except this one. I hope these d**kh**d managers can know what they are doing, which really ruin my good impression for the good employees. I would rather run 1000 meters in the winter rather tha going to this gym again.

We had an extremely POOR experience at Goodlife. I am a member in Alberta and there is an active policy that allows members to bring in a guest for the first time for free. We went to Goodlife and were told conflicting details by the front staff. They asked us to wait for 2 minutes until the sales manager could have a chat with us to decide if he would waive the drop in fee. We waited for more than 20 minutes before getting upset and leaving. The staff did not give a clear timeline of how long we would have to wait. We found out the Sales Manager was sitting right beside us giving a sales pitch. I highly suggest the front staff is better trained on the policies of the company to clear and decisive decision on drop-ins in order to not waist paying members time as we drove 20 minutes out of our way to get there. The policies of the company should be aligned as I am a paying member in AB.

The friendly service keeps me coming back. Their staff is always ready to help (I've locked myself out of my locker 2X now). They are willing to answer any questions you may have about the gym, equipment, classes and instructors. Incredible staff! This is definitely the cleanest Goodlife I've been to in Winnipeg. The womens washroom is stocked up at all times. Kleenex, q-tips, hair elastics are always available for us at no cost. I do hope they get new hair dryers (they're on the weaker side). But then again I've got long thick hair so it could just be me. My routine is workout, shower up and get a free massage on the massage chairs that are provided for all members to use. Hopefully the 3rd chair gets repaired soon as it's a great way to end your time at the gym. Favorite classes: Body Combat, Body Pump, RPM and Cx Worx.

  • Ashley Cole

Good location and clean. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Special shout out to personal trainer, Tyler, for being so helpful, understanding and encouraging! The women's locker room is nice and spacious and there are always lockers available. I appreciate the two private change rooms as well. For anyone wondering, this location has a sauna, multiple individual shower stalls, hair dryers, and massage chairs out on the floor. The only downside is the free-weights area can be quite busy and getting a bench can prove difficult during busier hours. Some may also find their hours of operation less ideal. They are 24/4, not 24/7. Thankfully it doesn't affect me personally, but throwing it out there for whoever may find the info useful.

I came to Grant Park as it is closest to where I live as I moved in March. I spent the past year going to the facilities at Leila and on McPhillips, occasionally Kenaston. I was planning to cancel my membership but I squarely put the blame on my not having gone as much as I could have for the duration. I spoke to a fabulous personal trainer who set up an appointment with me regarding nutrition as well as finding ways to motivate me to work out more! The front desk staff and the associate who walked me through the cancellation were all so friendly and helpful. I'm really planning to make the most of my renewal as I think there is so much more that I could be doing to improve my health.

Don’t recommend this gym, inconsistent communication & service We’ve been members back jn Calgary, and unfortunately the service is far from that. Tried signing up for the membership 3 times, and each time heard a different response and policies. At first, we couldn’t get in because of system issues, we came back the second time and purchased the membership for 77$, monthly payment (not the subscription). Today we received a different information that it is actually 97$+taxes, eventually we cancelled, because the communication was off, and it is frustrating to experience that approach. My feeling is if we come back tomorrow, it is going to be 130$. Don’t recommend

Mind blown! I’ve been to many goodlifes all over Canada but this one is the best of them all. Brand new. The locker rooms feel like 5 start hotels change rooms with sauna and showers and a personal change room (never seen this before). Spacious with high ceilings and the workout area is huge. Almost like half the size of a football field (maybe a bit less) lol Separate group fitness classes and vending machines that actually have protein shakes and not coke and Pepsi in them I’m so impressed. I go to the garden city one but I’ll be sure to travel an extra 10 mins to get to this location regularly. Good job staff! Keep it up!

  • Viktoria

I have been going to this gym on and off for about a year, and I have to say that facility cleanliness has improved immensely. A few months ago I would find dirty change rooms, floors, and exercise areas. Weights would be spread all across the weight room, bands, and barbells impossible to locate. It got bad enough that I started avoiding this location and choose the Grant facility although it meant a longer drive. A month ago I decided to give it one last chance and I was impressed. The place is tidy, equipment maintained, and weights are in their right places. Whatever brought about the change, keep it up

  • Sean Scollin

Awesome facility! Great staff! Greeting is on point and staff always seem to display a positive attitude and are willing to help in any way they can. Take advantage of that free personal training session, it gives you a great idea of where you're really at and how to go about acheiving your goals in a much more efficient way. I reccomend Travis for sure. Great energy from that guy and tons of knowledge to share. Can't go wrong! Check this place out either way!

  • Amir T (Amikosik)

Very nice place to work out in. There is many machines and free weights to work with. The space for free weights is too small and there is not enough benches for everyone even though there is small amounts of people working out. Also this place has two rows of different machines to have a quick run through them and call it a day, very nice. The cleaning there is very nice too. Over all I would recommend it to my friends because you get benefits from that.

  • Mykola Kaluzny

Had great experience in Goodlife Grant. I sign up my wife previous week. We have come from Ukraine 2 months ago and we still don't have good English. The Fitness Advisor Lina help us out signing a membership to my wife as she speaks Ukrainian/Russian, good experience and understanding. The manager Lee was also very friendly and answered all our questions. We would strongly recommend this gym to any new comers! Very welcoming and friendly!

  • Erin McIntosh

I have been going to this Goodlife location for almost a year now, and I recently had the opportunity to go to a different Goodlife location. It made me realize just how great Goodlife Grant is! Fantastic layout, it's not hard to find anything because it's all in one big open room. Lots of options for classes, cardio and weights. Also the staff is always super friendly and welcoming. It's a great choice for a gym!

  • Yahya Benzzine

The reason I’m writing this because I was discriminated and treated by an employee who workers at this location with the name of Stacy “manager”, Due to an error on the last transactions made by the stuff, my membership was inactive, after gettin into the gym I was asked by her to grab my stuff and leave or she will call for me people and then she came with 4 and tried to scare me, ....

  • Mikayla Wiens

Lots of equipment, usually very clean and, overall, a welcoming gym experience. I signed up for a personal trainer to help Kickstart my fitness journey. I was paired with Taylor, and he has been extremely helpful! He is very knowledgeable and great at teaching newbies like me about weights. If you're looking for a trainer, Taylor is an excellent choice!

  • John Smith

Staff could care less, other than selling training packages. Not clean in the change area or the workout area. (Broken cleaning bottles for days, floors covered in hair in the change area, bathrooms are gross but that's the customers being as gross) Vastly over priced (70 monthly). I can't think of any reasons to stay other than I'm fat and it's close

  • Ji Hun Han

Beginners or advanced lifters could benefit from personal training with Taylor. He is extremely knowledgeable and goes above and beyond for his clients. Whether you’re looking for one session to correct a specific problem you have, or a well-rounded program, you will be hard pressed to find someone who provides this much value for the price.

  • Rachel

Got to try hot yoga the first time. It was an awesome experience. The room is very warm which I like and the yoga instructor thought us basic to intermediate yoga poses. Started sweating after 15mins of session. Able to stayed the full hour of hot yoga class. Will definitely do it again. Felt good after. Good detox.

  • Daljit Kainth

It is good facilities, but make sure you read contract details don’t trust the agent wording. I cancel my membership and they charge 2 month fee instead of one week after a one year membership and I talked with the front desk and she said it is out system. So I end up paying for 2 month instead of one.

  • Laura Lynne

Friendly staff, always kept clean and functioning. The hot yoga fans are a little rattl-y and distracting. Wish they would ditch the tanning beds and invest in private infared saunas or private water massage beds (yasssss). Something a bit more modern GoodLife! But a good location overall.

  • B.L Cumberbatch

Saturday yoga with Michelle is worth the price of membership alone. Facility is cool, pretty similar wherever you go for a GoodLife. If you can't make yoga with Michelle S, check out Julia J's class. She ain't no Michelle by a country mile but her class is aight! …

  • Eleyas Btseamlak

They were offering free freezes due to covid, but as soon as the vaccine passport came and I wasnt allowed to enter anymore. They still charge me, they dont care about their clients, just money and themselves. I would have cancelled the membership if the gym wasnt 100 steps from my house.

  • Devon

Very nice gym. Clean, friendly staff, has lots of amenities. The massage chairs and sauna are nice after a long workout. I do wish that the gym was 24/7 instead of just 4. I do my workouts in the early morning and it wrecks my day on day off thing that I enjoyed prior. Overall great gym.

  • Jerod Rathbone

Great multipurpose gym. Always clean. Brand new equipment (lots of it), multiple training areas from cardio, free weights, cable machines, racks/benches, iso machines, turf area, padded area for core/stretching, and more. Only potential downside is it can be very busy at peak times.

  • Tom T

Really great space to work out, tons of cardio and strength training equipment plus nice studio spaces. Change rooms and showers are also kept really clean. Friendly, competent staff. I've been a member at other gyms in the past, but this one is definitely my favourite!

  • Gurpreet Singh

Very friendly staff. It’s a huge facility. Easier to find parking. The equipment is new and a plenty of free weights available. Their personal training area is separate and a separate cycling room as well. Variety of equipment for cardio and variety of classes offered.

  • Chad Posthumus

Solid goodlife location. Always lots of room on the equipment. Could definitely use more adjustable benches and a larger free weight section as that area is full and has a wait 90% of the time. Maybe add some along the wall by the handicap washroom with more mirrors.

  • kevin manansala

Relaxing environment with excellent customer service. plenty of room to work out, just be careful of busy hours, this place gets a lot of customers from all over the city. This is would you expect at a great gym and location. Overall my go to place for working out.

  • Mandeep Sodhi

The guys and girls on the front desk are amazing! Really helpful and always smiling. The trainers here are also very helpful. I especially like seeing Avontay, Paige and Sami! It's worth a visit here just because of this besides the equipment is really nice. …

  • Ash J. D. Braun

Went to signup for a membership because my partner told me about a promo. Was ignored by several staff that available, and then was helped by someone that used high pressure sales tactics. Great gym otherwise, but not everyone is interested in being sold things.

  • Josh Lawson

great gym but you guys should mayyybe look into having a shoes policy on the gym floor or at the very least socks. seeing people barefoot on the mat area is just not a vibe when people are laying there afterwards and what not. seems unnecessarily unsanitary

  • Sydnye Berard

Really large and spacious with various options for working out such as their hot yoga studio. Located inside Grant Park shopping mall so close to several amenities and great for if you want to get some shopping/ movie watching done after a workout!

  • George Toonstra

Broken machines since 2021, out of commission water fountain for about a month now. Just 1 working water station for the entire gym facility. Friendly staff except one lady who works at the front desk and always gives every gym patron a hard time.

  • Informed Consent

Went from paying $50 a month to getting a email that I will be charged $75 a month going forward and have to pay for towel service going forward. Pretty cool that they went to change terms when they can’t even change a water filter ‍♂️ …

  • CR

Time to keep your out of commission equipment and water fountain- in commission, instead of them being left there for weeks to months on end with signs saying out of service. Time to get a local service maintenance worker to fix the problems!

  • Adit Patel

Grant park gym is one of the well maintained gym out of any GoodLife gym I have been to in Winnipeg. It's washrooms and overall floor area is always cleaned and never smelly. Staff is nice and equipmens are well maintaine. Highly recommended

  • jorel baylon

I was just there yesterday night, when a very embarrassing and horrible experience occurred. Basically I was just about to wrap up my visit finished working out, went to the changing room and just about to head out. The guy who cleans the

  • Mackenzie Kyryluk

I used to come here all the time last year until i went travelling for half a year. Now I’m back and the place is always a mess, i.e. towels all on the floor in the men’s change room, no soap in the majority of the showers, towels there

  • Vimi Mutalik

I recently joined GoodLife on grant. It has been a great experience. The advisor Lina has been very helpful in discussing all my options and patient in answering all my questions. The space is clean and well maintained. Highly recommend.

  • Jane Bates

Been a member for 7 years now! I've tried a few other gyms in the city and GoodLife is by far the cleanest. Sometimes it's a little busy but there's always a machine or weight available, and the classes they offer are always fantastic.

  • Nick Bergmann

I love this gym and come here all the time but can someone pls explain the wifi situation? Tell me why I can get significantly better wifi at a McDonald’s than here when I’m paying more than 60 bucks a month for this gym. Thanks.

  • Sahil Sharma

This location is my best location in Winnipeg because of the fact that they have some cool staff, very respective and professional. Moreover you will not encounter parking issue as you may get in some downtown locations. 5 ⭐️

  • Robert Jacksteit

In Winnipeg for business and had time for workout. I have been to gyms across the country and this may be the best I've seen. Members all put their weights away and seem to care for their club. Spacious and well designed.

  • Ryan Jensen

A gym that really lifts you up! Front staff remember my name and help motivate me for the day, they seem to remember everyone! I routinely see staff cleaning equipment and they continue to motivate us as they clean!

  • Phoebe

Joined a month ago and I’m loving it. My only complain would be the weekend hours (F -S). It would be nice if the gym actually opened 24/7. Probably the only big gym in the city that closes 8PM on weekends. …

  • Clement Banjo

Thoroughly enjoying the facilities and atmosphere. Lina was my first point of contact when I signed up, she is very knowledgeable, professional and enthusiastic. A month after, I am still loving my new home

  • Jugraj Singh

Everything is good just if any equipment breaks or need any repairs they just put tag on them of maintenance and then you forget that machine for at least 3 months. Other than that staff is really good

  • D D

The grant park location has been a home for me for many years. Sadly have to say goodbye as relocating, but super helpful staff, clean amenities, and most importantly, good, well maintained equipment.

  • Courtney Ohh

The GM Brad has been amazing in helping me with my personal training payments, any time there is an issue he has fixed it right away. GoodLife is an amazing gym.

  • Sean Holloway

Finally a goodlife where they dont cram all the weights into a 200 square foot area and fill the rest of the place with treadmills and "personal trainer" zones

  • Black Label Builds

Good gym, great staff but stupid hours. The gym says it’s open till 10 every and “24” but in a hand written sign at the desk it says closes at 8, annoying.

This is my favourite GoodLife in the city. Would be even better if it was 24/7 instead of 24/4. But it’s still amazing none the less.

  • Grizzly Glizzy (Grizzly Glizzy)

Friendly environment plenty of workout equipment friendly staff over all just a great place to work out and have a good time

  • Adam Slovinsky (Gaff3r)

Honestly they keep the gym too cold.... goodlife responder a B.S. political answer saying it’s what’s “best” for everyone...

  • Devan Hughes

Seated military press rack is absolute garbage, full 24/7 would also be nice. Aside from that no complaints, great gym.

  • Jazmyn Daiva

Just started up with Good Life Grant and absolutely love it. Its a great environment and the staff is very helpful

  • David Johnson

Good for workouts, 4 squat rack platforms plus another rack. Lots of area for stretching, turf could be bigger

I would rate the service here zero stars if I could. Least friendly staff in a gym I’ve ever interacted with.
