I don't write reviews very often at all, but wanted to take a moment and share my experience with this company. I have been dropping of clothing here for over 10 years, they have done alterations for me, and gotten suits pressed and ready for big events. What has particularly impressed me however, is their ability to save some of my favorite clothing from what I believed were irreversible stains and soiling. I can, sometimes, when overindulgence get a tad sloppy, and its a horrible feeling thinking you have ruined one of your favorite shirts, or an expensive sweater. I promise you, their crew has never let me down. They have always given me back my clothing looking like brand new, magically. Of course, the staff is always super friendly, taking the time to make suggestions and go over options for removing some of the toughest blemishes. Great people, and overall one of the most satisfying businesses I've ever dealt with. I really can't say enough about them. 5 Stars.

Fantastic service and very reasonable pricing! The owner, Charles, is very hands on in his business and the few times I've called he was the one to answer my questions and provide me with quotes. I have also had great service (and fun conversation) from his son at the Riverside location. I recently dropped off 9 different pieces for drycleaning, all of which turned out fantastic and perfectly pressed. They even attempted to clean an old felt marker stain from one of my items a second time around at no charge. When I accidentally left a piece behind on my pick up, the waisted no time in making sure it was put back in the system for when I had time to come back and pick it up. It is always appreciated when a business takes pride in doing the best they can and paying attention to all the small details. This has provided me with an amazing and personable service.

I have used 4 different dry cleaners over the past few years. I would need to change to a new one almost once a year as each one let me down, usually with the quality of their work. I am a perfectionist and my standards are high. I have gone to Goodfellow Cleaners for the past year and they have been the best Dry Cleaner to deal with by far, especially due to their great quality work, their professionalism and their knowledge. I mostly deal with Nick and it is always a pleasure, he treats you like your business really matters to them and he is very knowledgeable. From accident to never happened: So three weeks ago, I had an accident where my clothes and my favourite coat where all drenched in gasoline (long story short, the unexpected happened. The gas pump was locked, I took it out of the car tank, and the gas station turned into an all-inclusive gasoline park and resort). I looked up dry cleaners online, and Goodfellow Cleaners came up as one of the best dry cleaning stores in Ottawa. I dropped off my smelly clothes, and one week later, they look and smell much better than brand new! Thank you Goodfellow Cleaners for your above and beyond service and for saving my favourite coat!

I have been going to Goodfellow Cleaners for a number of years now first at the Billings Bridge location and then the Riverside South location and always had great service. Recently went back to the Billings Bridge location as its closer to where I now live and after a bit of confusion, mostly on my part over what phone number my account was under, a new account was created very quickly by a very well mannered and professional staff member. I recently brought to your Billings Bridge location my high school prom dress to be cleaned. This long dress dates back 50 years. My dress was bought in Montreal and my mother had hand stitched white and green flowers of lovely Belgian lace on the bust and at the helm. I admit that I was very hesitant to have it dry cleaned. It was not a matter of price, but of the challenge at hand. I am delighted by the excellent work you did. It looks brand new. It is a unique vintage piece. Thank you very much for your terrific work. Truly excellent service and customer service! I had three somewhat difficult pieces I dropped off about a week ago. Nick carefully inquired about each piece and explained what could feasibly be done for all. Nick followed up with explanations and updates and went above and beyond! The service was incredibly reasonable and my pieces all turned out beautifully. There was also a lot of transparency with pricing and this was all communicated beforehand. I am so pleased! I also spoke to Caleb and he was helpful and friendly. Don’t hesitate to give them a try!

These guys are great, service is quick affordable and friendly. What puts them over the top is the tailor. She is remarkable. I brought her an old Peacoat that is my favourite coat of all time. After last winter I had just shredded the pockets, there were 4. Not only did she do an incredible job (Like the coat wasn't this good new) but because it's winter she told me I'd get it in 6 days and then she turned it around in 2. Winter is better because of Goodfellow Cleaners and if any of you say anything bad about the tailor, I will fight you. James

Came in to get a small tear in my black peacoat. The tailor really talked down their own ability, but it came out great! Very pleased with the fix. It'd be a shame to have to toss a good coat. The cute girl at the front desk was super polite and professional. Whether on the phone or in person, every person that I interacted with gave me exceptional service even though I wasn't spending very much. Nowhere in the city can you find this sort of well-meaning and courteous service at such an affordable price. Thanks!

Brought a jacket and shirt here largely on the basis of the glowing reviews and the convenient location. Took the plastic off and was immediately hit with the strong odour of obnoxious perfume. Hung the items outside for 2 days to try and get rid of the smell. Nope, won't go back. Edit: Several days ago I was contacted by the owner who was very sympathetic and offered me redress, so perhaps I will return.

Our whole family's formal clothes, including the bride's Indian gown which was brought in a bag from Los Angeles was given to Goodfellow Cleaners in a short notice to get drycleaned/steamed. They not only did an amazing job and completed the dry cleaning/steaming in time, they also helped deliver it to our hotel and helped hang it properly. Just an AMAZING service throughout. The service is okay and the staff is friendly, however they took 6 months to get my wedding gown back to me from a cleaning when they had initially stated that it would taken 2-4 months. I had to call multiple times to get updates as I felt they had forgotten about me over the months. Just beware it could take a long time.

The drycleaning services I have used many times and I have nothing but good things to say. Super heavy duty stains came out with ease. However, the tailor is useless. Taken many simple tailoring jobs to this location and each time told she cannot fix it. Capital Tailors at 1500 Bank St. Is much better for tailoring.

Friendly, fast and convenient. The young man who serves me every Saturday is polite, efficient and has my clean shirts ready to go before I walk through the door. I have been coming here for several years now and never had an issue. Totally recommend.

Good service and decent turnaround time. They also alter clothes. On occassion, I have had to return dry cleaned clothes cause of collar marks or smell in dresses but they usually reclean free of charge. [Like if you found the review helpful]

The service was excellent and on time, I had to dry iron my long veil, and it was all lace. My veil came on time and it looked just great after drying it. I definetly recommend this place. Also the staff was very friendly and understanding.
