Diese Grachtenfahrt mit dem Boot Undine war wirklich unvergesslich und sehr schön! Ich habe diese Bootstour (2h) ausgewählt um meiner Partnerin ein unvergesslichen Moment zu bieten und Ihr einen Antrag auf dem Boot in den Grachten von Amsterdam zu machen. Vorab bei Buchung habe ich eine wirklich perfekte Beratung bekommen und auf meine Wünsche wurde umfänglich eingegangen. Die Fahrt selber im Sonnenuntergang und später im Dunkeln war echt mega schön und einzigartig. Zum Beginn der Fahrt gab es jeweils ein Stück Kuchen und Wein. Die Fahrt selber war sehr angenehm und dank des Elektromotors war das Boot auch super leise. Unser Kapitän war auch der perfekte Tour-Guide, der uns viele tolle Insider-Infos und Empfehlungen zu Hot-Spots in Amsterdam für unseren Besuch gegeben hat. Auch zum Zeitpunkt des Antrags hatten wir unseren privaten Moment. Danach haben wir gemütlich mit Sekt angestoßen. Es war einfach ein unbeschreibliches Erlebnis und ich kann jedem diese Tour durch die Grachten in Amsterdam empfehlen. Das Boot ist super gemütlich, und bietet auch für ein paar mehr Personen Platz. Diese Tour durch die Grachten mit der Undine würde ich bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Amsterdam jederzeit wieder machen.

This excursion was uniquely special! We opted for a two-hour tour with dinner and drinks for just the two of us. The boat itself was a marvel...beautifully restored, cozy, comfortable, incredibly clean and it provided a romantic and fun ambiance for my husband and me. It was a version of a canal "progressive dinner". On our tour, we pre-ordered an outstanding meal and very nice wines. We would pull up to the different restaurant docks and waitresses were right there to hand us our foie gras, and then our piping hot and perfectly cooked filet of beef. The quality, flavor and presentation were outstanding. Our guide provided us with an interesting, detailed and upbeat commentary throughout the tour. And we still can't get over how beautiful the saloon boat itself was. Good fun, good food and wonderful memories are what we took away from this canal boat excursion.

The boat tour was wonderful! The boat itself is very nice and cosy - suitable for any weather. It was heated, and if it had been sunny, the cover at the rear could have been removed as well. The route we took was perfectly chosen. We were told a lot about the buildings along the route (we booked the German-language tour), and I have to say: I have rarely met such friendly people as the Boatboys. The coffee we had was extremely tasty. A minibar would have been available on board for any needs. The boat rode very smoothly (I went with my mother, who was a bit scared of the boat ride beforehand. But the ride was totally comfortable.). I can wholeheartedly recommend a boat tour with the Boatboys! Thank you for this wonderful memory!

We had a spectacular night on the Boat Boys’ beautiful old timber boat seeing the Light Festival. Their knowledge of each art piece and history of the surrounding area was great. We were two adults and four kids (8-12) and we all loved it. The boys were engaging with the kids which is always appreciated. As we boarded they asked if we wanted to change it up a little as the Amsterdam fireworks show, which was cancelled over New Years, was rescheduled for during our tour. With an excited yes from us they showed us not only all of the lights but took us to the firework show too. An extra special bonus since half of our party were flying from Australia over New Years so hadn’t seen any fireworks at all. Thanks for a great night!

We took a private boat with Boatboys. Our driver/guide is Nickle (sorry if we mis-spelled your name). The boat is unique, classic, comfortable and beautiful. We, a family of three really like our boat trip. Nickle is knowledgeable. He told us the story in each place we passed by. Very enjoyable coming with someone we could ask questions and communicate with very well. We took a 90 minutes trip. Nickle brought along the canals seeing many nice places such as slim bridges, Hermitage, Heineken brewery, dancing house, Jordaan, Rijksmuseum, etc. It was a sunny day but we didn’t feel hot on the boat. He served us some drinks with Almonds. We three enjoy this boat trip very much. Highly recommend !! Thank again, Nickle.

If you can only do one thing in Amsterdam, this is it! I have cruised with Carl on his lovely salon boat twice now, and I will be back again, for sure. Each tour was different and tailored to what we were interested in -- the first time I was with family so it was a lot more history and getting acquainted to the city. The second time it was a birthday trip with my friend and Carl shared all kinds of cool insight into the Dutch people and culture. Both cruises were filled with easy conversation, incredible food, and nothing can beat seeing the city from the canals. Try to get the late/last cruise so you can enjoy the sunset and the canals when the lights come on. There is nothing like it!

We spent two wonderful hours with Karl, our boat captain and tour guide. The boat was perfectly comfortable for the four of us and I think could have reasonably accommodated 2-4 more people depending on size. The boat seating area was entirely enclosed, which is great for rain though we had a sunny day. The front glass pane opens up for great photos, but only worked well for us because we didn't have someone seated there. Karl was a huge part of the success of this voyage. He knew a lot of history and current issues in Amsterdam and also didn't take himself or us too seriously. It was terrific. It is not a budget tour, but I found it well worth the expense. Very strong recommendation!

I may be a little biased (since I got engaged on this boat tour!!) but this was my favorite experience in Amsterdam. The Boatboys were very knowledgeable about the city and its history and landmarks. The tour was very laid back and conversational, allowing us to ask questions along the way. They suggested great places to eat, drink, and visit during our remaining days (many of which we tried and loved!). The atmosphere was intimate and there was soft music playing, which added to the ambiance of an already perfect sunset boat cruise. 10/10 would recommend!

This was an amazing experience for me and my partner that we loved every second of! Customer service was top-notch to help me figure out problems I was having with booking and finding a way to help us have an incredible dinner. Fantastic that there are different options for food (vegetarian/vegan) and different cuisines too. Carl our captain was very sweet and even went as far as dropping us off slightly closer to our house so we could walk home easier. Will definitely keep this in mind for special occasions in the future. Highly recommend!

We haven't stopped talking about our boat trip with the best guys! Seriously the best experience we have had in Amsterdam after visiting for many years. Birthday treat on the 2 hours champagne trip. Amazingly beautiful and cared for boat, super knowledgeable and kind hosts. Seeing Amsterdam from the water is a must do, and you cannot choose a better, well run company than the Boat Boys. Just make sure to get the 2 hours trip, the time goes by so quickly, 90 mins cannot be enough. In short, book it, you so deserve it!

We had the first tour of the year after long lock-down. Following our special wishes, Carl picked us up directly at the marina of the Apollo-Hotel with his fantastic restored german Salonboat and gave us a wonderful tour through the canals of Amsterdam. We appreciate this special service of an individual tour and had a good time with Carl. Coffee, Tea, Drinks... you name it, everything was on board - for free! Take a little bit more cash and book a tour with Carl! It´s way better than driving with the "busses" ;-)

The Boatboys couldn’t have provided a better experience, beginning with their historic, perfectly maintained saloon boat, through their wonderful tour of the city and wrapped in their welcoming and friendly manner. I wanted to introduce a friend to the magic of Amsterdam - the Boatboys made it more fun and informative than we could have expected. Great thing to do whether rain or shine. We were two but 4-6 also just perfect. We are telling our friends NOT to miss a canal cruise in Amsterdam with the Boatboys.

We all loved our canal cruise. Carl took us through some beautiful residential areas we would never have seen otherwise. The Undine is such an exquisite boat! Boat Boys does an excellent job of making a memorable experience. The beauty of our cruise was equally matched by our pleasant conversations with Carl. If anyone reading this is considering a canal cruise in Amsterdam, we highly recommend booking with the “BoatBoys” - but make sure you book with the one that advertises their boat the Undine.

We enjoyed a wonderful two hour ride through Amsterdam and with the two course dinner served right to the Boat! Carl was wonderful to talk to throughout the trip and even gave us more ideas of fun things to do in Amsterdam with our children. The meal was wonderful! We were able to order just what we wanted and even have some modifications for our children's meals without any issue. Our only wish was that we booked a longer ride! Highly suggest this experience during your stay in Amsterdam!

We Had the most amazing boat trip with Carl yesterday. Beautiful boat stocked with nice wines and cold beers . Carl talked us through the canals while taking the time to tell us about the buildings as we passed. He had also organised a lobster lunch which was delicious . Carl is very knowledgable about his city but also a great guy , we has lots of laughs . I can’t recommend this enough ….a great experience . We had a wonderful time on our dinner cruise. The boat is the perfect size for our family of four. The ability to completely enclose the cabin made the cruise enjoyable on a cool evening. The food and wine were both excellent. Most important of all is that the captain balanced being a very informative tour guide and giving us the space for family time. And, or course, we got to see the wonderful city of Amsterdam from its beautiful canals. Thank you for having us in your “living room”.

We really enjoyed the canal tour with Carl! It was the perfect blend of historical knowledge, cultural insights, recommendations for places to visit and things to do, and conversation. Eine kanaltour mit den Boat Boys kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Wir haben uns direkt willkommen und gut umsorgt gefühlt. Für viele von uns war es das erste Mal in Amsterdam und so konnten wir die Stadt direkt aus einem anderen Blickwinkel kennenlernen und bei einem oder mehreren Gläsern Wein genießen. My parents were visiting for the holidays and we wanted to do something special for them so we reserved a private boat tour for the Light Festival. Carl was a perfect, engaging guide, who knew about all the wonderful light installations as well as interesting historical facts about Amsterdam and it's rich history. His electric powered vintage boat was lovingly restored and fun to spend time on. We will definitely book with them again!

Ich hatte eine private Tour mit meiner Freundin. Es war sehr gepflegt und sauber in dem Boot. Getränke waren genug vorhanden und die Auswahl auch völlig ausreichend. Der Fahrer hatte unglaublich viel Wissen über Amsterdam und hat uns sehr viel erklärt/gezeigt. Super freundlich und sehr sympathisch gewesen. Together with three friends we had an amazing private two-course dinner with captain Carl! We had a starter from de Struisvogel and our maincourse from Hemelse Modder. Both dishes were delicious. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the hospitality and positive vibe of Carl while sailing on the canals. This was a unique experience and every other night out for dinner seems boring after this exerpience.

Die Grachtenfahrt hat uns sehr gut gefallen; der Kapitän spricht sehr gut Deutsch und hat uns während der 2-stündigen Fahrt viele interessante Dinge über Amsterdam und die Grachten erzählt. Auch wenn es deutlich mehr kostet als eine Tour mit den großen Kanalbooten, so ist dieses Erlebnis in entspannter und persönlicher Atmosphäre so beeindruckend, dass ich diese Tour wieder buchen würde. We booked an evening 90 minute cruise with Carl. We were visiting during the Festival of Lights. Carl was very knowledgeable and made our cruise so much fun. A wonderful tour on a wonderful boat. It is beautifully restored, and because it is electric, utterly silent. You relax, glide through the water and enjoy the sights. The captain and guide knows his stuff and points out the sights without being obtrusive. If you can afford it, do it!
