Jose Minan (Jose) of Great Works Painting did a superb job painting our daughter’s apartment in Austin recently. We needed a relatively quick turnaround and someone who could do an excellent job for us. Mr. Minan’s work far exceeded our expectations. He got in touch with us promptly to come over to give us an estimate, which turned out to be the most reasonable of everyone we had spoken to; and it was easy for us to work with him to find a window of time to do the work. Mr. Minan was the consummate professional – punctual; communicating clearly and quickly, friendly, and very helpful. He accurately estimated the time it would take to do the work, as well as the amount of paint I needed to buy. When it came to choosing the paint grade, I felt that he offered me excellent advice so that we bought good quality without overspending or purchasing more than we needed. He did a meticulous job in preparation, including cleaning, taping and protecting surfaces; and the results were beautiful. He was very careful with his equipment and left the premises spotless and completely transformed since we lightened the apartment walls from what had been almost chocolate beige to a warm off white. Most important, I had complete trust and confidence in Mr. Minan and was comfortable leaving the apartment in his good hands as we continued to go back and forth and prepare for the movers. We could not have been more pleased with the result or our interactions with Mr. Minan. My husband and I live out of state and are considering relocating to Austin permanently ourselves. It is good to know that we may be able to count on Mr. Minan for all of our future painting needs in our own home some day. I recommend him highly!

Jose did an AMAZING job painting an interior wall in my apartment for me! Whoever had previously painted the wall was obviously in a hurry and not very detailed as they left paint on the ceiling and a couple of sprinkler heads. Jose helped clean up the past painters mess and delivered a truly beautiful end product. He was extremely responsive during our communication prior to the job day - I had a lot of questions and he was able to answer them all. The day-of he showed up right on time and was even able to help me move my fridge...which was against the wall to be painted and I couldn't move on my own. I would highly recommend Jose and would definitely hire him again for future projects!

This is the first review I have ever left-- José was that good! He painted the ceilings of my entire house plus the walls in two bedrooms. His price was competitive and fair. He is super trustworthy. I left him alone in my house every day while I went to work and never once thought twice about it. The paint job he did is amazing, it made such a huge difference. If I need anything painted again, I will only use José, and have already recommended him to all of my friends.

Jose was painting ceiling in my living room. A complicated case since a lot of light was coming from different directions. With that, Jose did a wonderful job - a neat even finish with no streaks or lap marks... Smooth estimation process. Then, Jose came at the appointed time in the morning and by lunch time the job was done. Jose was explaining each step he was doing and cleaned all the area after the job was completed... A great professional!

Everything about this experience was easy and enjoyable! From the initial outreach to scheduling to the actual work itself, Jose was friendly, punctual, communicative, and thorough. I'm very happy with how the walls turned out (a dark blue accent wall and lighter walls in my living room)! He explained his process and what he would do each day, and he even finished a bit earlier than we had planned for. I highly recommend!

Jose at Great Works is a true artist--he has an amazing understanding of color and will work with you to make sure the end result complements your space. He is also a perfectionist with an eye for detail, yet still manages to work efficiently. Not to mention that his rates are extremely affordable! This is our second time using Great Works Painting and we could not be more happy. Jose does such a great job, at a very fair price. His work is precise and looks great every time. Jose did a fantastic job, it was very fast to respond when we were coordinating time, show up on time, let the place completely clean and the paint was flawless.
