A couple of months ago, I hired Green Sky to replace the shingles on my roof, mostly because of all of the positive reviews I had read. However, the experience I had with this company--Jeff in particular--was pretty terrible. First off, *after* receiving my quote, just when I was about to sign the contract for the job, Jeff told me that the initial quote did not include GST, and that it would need to be tacked on. Sure, that's not the end of the world, but I do think that kind of detail should have been communicated earlier. It seems a bit dishonest not to do so. Then, two incidences with the job itself in particular frustrated me: 1) Jeff told me, verbally and in an email, that even though it wasn't part of the quote, he would gladly fix my downspouts. He did not follow through with this. I asked him about this twice thereafter and heard absolutely nothing. 2) After my roof was fixed, he left roofing materials left behind. So I contacted him about removing these on three separate occasions and, again, nothing. What especially bothers me is that after I made my payment, I sent yet another text to him, and it was complete radio silence. Nice--now that you have my money, I guess this means you don't have to deal with these unresolved issues. As such now, because of a major hail storm that caused some significant damage to my home, I have another job that needs to be completed, one that costs three times as much as the roofing job of which Jeff was in charge. However, I am definitely NOT going back to Green Sky because of this recent negative experience. I would not recommend this company. EDITED (RESPONSE TO GREEN SKY): 1) Please note that I have no issues with paying GST for a product or service. However, in my particular case, the (non-itemized) quote Jeff provided should have communicated the cost inclusive of GST--not minutes before you are about to sign the contract. In my opinion, that is honest and upfront business practise; 2) You are correct in stating that the repair of my downspouts was not included in the contract. However, I reiterate that Jeff agreed to fix them for me on more than one occasion (verbally and via email) outside of the official agreement. "I can fix those for you myself" were his words, verbatim. I guess I was mistaken in believing that I could trust him to keep his word; 3) Indeed, your crew retrieved the majority of the building materials and waste remaining from the roofing job. Thank you. However, as of the writing of this response, I STILL have the long, unwieldy roofing pieces that in no way will fit in my garbage bin (to which I was referring in my review) on my property which Jeff failed to remove, despite multiple attempts to communicate this to him. Now, I will have to go out of my way to drive these to the dump, at my expense--something that is Green Sky's responsibility; 4) Perhaps I should have contacted your office after the many attempts to contact Jeff went unanswered. Or perhaps you ought to have a conversation with your employees about the importance of maintaining lines of communication with your clients--even after payment has been received--as a basic expectation of customer service. Finally, I see that last week both you and Jeff have tried to contact me three times since I posted the original review. Thank you for your attempts, but that ship has long sailed--my experience with Green Sky is officially soured and over at this point. Perhaps if Jeff had responded with that kind of persistence to the multiple texts/emails that I had originally sent regarding the above issues, I would be far more willing to continue that conversation with Green Sky.

Last fall, it became clear that the shingles on our house needed to be replaced. After having the roof of a vacation home redone with steel roofing, that seemed like the most reasonable, long-term solution. Several quotes were solicited, and Green Sky, with Eric Vezina were among the lower quotes. After a long discussion with Eric, the decision was made to also look at rubber roofing as a possibility. In pursuing the matter, I phoned my home insurance agent, and was told that the annual insurance premium would lower by about $100 with steel; the premium would lower by about $300 with recycled rubber. I looked at this difference as an endorsement for rubber roofing by the insurance business. When Eric dropped off samples, it became apparent that rubber was more resistant to hail and wind damage than steel. Added to that fact was that installation required full coverage of a polymer underlay over the entire roof before the rubber shingles were applied and the material was guaranteed for 50 years with a possible life of a century, rather than the 15 to 20 of asphalt shingles. We settled on Green Sky as the installer because their pricing was the lowest of all the quotes, and over the course of our discussions, I became very confident that Eric and his company would provide expert installation. On the first day of removal of the old asphalt shingles, a mistake was made. The installers mistakenly removed shingles that were only a couple of years old on a smaller upper storey. Eric and I had discussed leaving that particular area for several years, but with the intention of using the same rubber for that later installation. Unfortunately, that information was not communicated to the installation crew, and they removed the upper level shingles as well. Eric agreed that it was Green Sky’s mistake, and offered to replace the asphalt shingles with asphalt shingles of the same quality, and just charge for the installation. After discussion with he rubber roofing supplier’s sales people, Eric said that they could alternatively, use the same rubber roofing as the main roof, and he would charge the materials at their wholesale value, as well as a discounted installation charge. I agreed, and the rest of the installation proceeded without a problem. Eric also agreed to remove a steel chimney for an unused fireplace, and did not charge us. I am very pleased with the new rubber shingled roof and confident of its quality. The installation crew cleaned up after installation and left an immaculate yard! I would recommend Green Sky Roofing without reservation. You could not ask for a better company than Green Sky, for home maintenance and roof installation. Give Eric a call!

After the June 13th Hail Storm, we had chosen a contractor whom we felt was going to be able to complete the repairs to the exterior of our home. Unfortunately after several months of no communication, I had to go on the search for a new contractor. Eric, Shawn the whole team where very responsive from initial contact, and to our first meeting and inspection of the home. It was here where they really started to shine, all the other contractors where saying material could not be obtained to start repairs on my house using the same materials. Green Sky suggested using a similar product, but more local, and available locally, all with in our budget. Once we signed our contract with Green Sky, before I could even get the deposit to them for the work, materials where being delivered, and workers setting up. Green Sky was able to start the project ahead of schedule to get ahead of some bad weather coming in, and completed the whole project 4 weeks before they promised it would be completed. As a tradesman myself, in a very different field, I had a high level of expectations from Eric, and the whole Green Sky Team. At no point did they let me down. The finished product is amazing, the time line was completed weeks early, and came in at the price quoted. To top it all off, Eric and Shawn where very personable people that made my whole family feel comfortable, They helped us take a huge load off our shoulders during the most stressful time of the year, and gained a level of trust that I have for only a few people in this world. Thank you to everyone at Green Sky for helping us make our home safe, while looking good again.

Green Sky Roofing is much more than roofing! We were looking for someone to do repairs to our home after the hail storm in July 2021. With the usual delays waiting for an insurance adjuster appointment & then a contractor date we saw Green Sky working on a neighbor's home and went over and talked to them. They came over that day and looked at our house then set up an appointment to have someone come meet with us right away. We ended up choosing Green Sky Roofing over the insurance recommended company (we were only given one name and they were very booked up). We are so happy we chose to go with Green Sky Roofing. Throughout the entire job they all were very good at explaining things to us, going over options with us and even had samples for us to see. They even contacted our insurance company and had our claim adjusted when they found damage missed by the first inspector the insurance company sent out. Every person that worked on our home was very pleasant and efficient. They all worked well together, had very positive attitudes, were easy to talk to and they cleaned up the yard afterward. We've had very bad experiences in the past with our previous builder & contractors so we were very apprehensive. We needed our roof repaired, our vinyl siding and all trims replaced with Hardie Board, fascia & eavestrough replaced and a new garage door installed. This turned out to be a very positive experience for us! We are very happy and we highly recommend Green Sky Roofing.

Response to owner: Your response is bunk because you're completely ignoring the biggest facts about your questionable business practice - the fact your door-to-door guy claims these are NO OBLIGATION QUOTES (or whatever you want to call them) yet in the small print it clearly says you will CHARGE US, THE HOMEOWNER, 10% OF THE QUOTE IF WE/THEY DON'T USE YOUR COMPANY. Since your guy came to our house, we've engaged several other companies for hail damage inspection and not a single one of them required us to sign any forms that allowed them to charge us 10% of the quote if we don't use them - only your company does that (and the worst part is you lie about it!). These storm chasers rely on shock and awe tactics by coming to your front door after a big storm to try to be the first to get you to sign up for their *no obligation* quote. They promise to do all the work in contacting your insurance company, ask you to sign their *no obligation* form (the guy at our door confirmed this multiple times!) but then try to walk away without giving you a copy of it...that's because in the small print it says if you don't end up choosing them YOU HAVE TO PAY THEM 10% of the quote for their inspection. Every other roofing company in Calgary does this for free.

Our 10 year old roof needed replacing, after having 2 other companies come out to take a look (neither of which returned calls or followed up on quotes) we then found Eric working hard in our area to get business. From the day he first came out to meet with us until the finishing of our roof project he was very professional and always ready to answer our questions. He worked with our insurance company and we received a claim for wind and hail damage (almost $18,000) that helped to cover the cost of replacement and allowed us to upgrade the roofing materials to a hail resistant shingle. The roofing team was also excellent, arriving on time, cleaning up after everyday of work and finishing the job on time. Our planning and project happened just as the first wave of Covid 19 was hitting but what was amazing was to see how little it affected the project. Eric was extremely flexible going to an on line consulting forum and when the roof was being done, the roofers immediately set up extra sanitizing measures but we were never in need of being in close contact with them. We are very happy with the finished project and are now working with Eric Green Sky on exterior renovations for our home.

We had a great experience working with Eric and his team. Our greatest challenge was we didn't realize the house roof had hail damage and were only getting an inspection done for the workshop roof. Eric's team did a complete inspection of our house roof at the same time, and helped us with an insurance claim that saved us thousands of dollars. We were not thinking about an insurance claim for having the workshop roof done, so the cost of that, alone saved a lot of money. In addition to that, we had just listed our house for sale, had an offer, and with the home inspection going to be done within a week, we were able to say the new owners would have a new roof, new gutters and downspouts, and the damaged siding replaced. They were happy, and we were happy. Selling a house is stressful enough, but add that the roof and siding needed repair, and all of this took place during the first week of the Covid lockdown, and the stress level intensified immensely. Eric and his team did everything they could to make this go very smoothly, and were very considerate of our situation. I would definitely recommend them for your roofing needs.

We had a non-opening skylight that was about 20 years old. Green Sky replaced it with a Velux opening skylight with a blind. The install was amazing and seamless. Two guys came, removed out skylight, replaced with new one, and replaced all the shingles. The install crew took DETAILED photos of every step they took, which was emailed to us at the end of the job. The crew did all their work from the outside, so we didn't need to be at home. The whole job was done in a matter of hours. The old skylight was leaking a bit, but the way the new velux is installed prevents that leakage. We LOVE our new opening skylight. Right now, we can vent the heat from our entire house in a matter of minutes. Plus the blind keeps the hot sun out during the summer. No need for an AC unit with the opening skylight. The skylight has a sensor and automatically closes when it rains. We've tried it out a few times and it's perfect. If you have an old skylight, do yourself a massive favour and replace it with a velux. It's a bit more money but holy! It pays for itself in comfort alone.

Our house got a lot of damage from the July 2' 21 hailstorm. I contacted our Insurance company the next day (Travelers Insurance, a really great company to deal with) I asked if they could recommend a good contractor. They suggested Green Sky Roofing, after checking out their reviews I contacted Tom Bailey who started the ball rolling. Green Sky took care of organizing all the trades, The roof was stripped and relayed in 1 day, eaves, fascia, down spouts done in 1 day, siding done in 5 days (Elliott and his partner did an amazing job, very detailed and not rushed). There were a few minor blips (which is expected on such a big job) but they were dealt with quickly. The owner of the Company Eric showed up a few times to do inspections and was always happy to have a chat. My wife and I are more than happy with all the work done. As a result 3 of our neighbours and our own son have signed up with Green Sky to have work done by them. I highly recommend asking for Brad Llewellyn at Green Sky Roofing. I “met” him randomly in a Facebook neighborhood group chat where I was looking for advice on roofing & siding replacement after a damaging hailstorm. Brad wasn’t pushy and didn’t immediately try to sell to me, rather he provided friendly advice about the replacement process until I asked him directly for a quote. He gave us a very fair quote, and made the roofing and siding replacement process very smooth and pleasant. The men who came to do the work were professional, efficient, and cleaned up well after the project. I had looked into a couple other roofing and siding companies to do the work we needed, but Green Sky’s quote was better and their operation was more organized and professional. We will definitely use Green Sky again in future when we need them!

We had roofing & skylight installed by Green Sky roofing ( Eric Vezina). Eric was the first one to respond to my request for an estimate within half an hour. Eric was friendly , professional and knowledgeable. He was very patient in explaining all the details. His quote was competitively priced. His crew completed the project on time & clean up after completion was very thorough. Eric went out of his way to help me replace new flashing even though this was not part of the roofing agreement. We had shakes before and replacing it with shingles made flashing aesthetically unappealing. He bought new flashing and actually came out on to work on Sunday and did not charge me for the materials or labour. Thank you Eric!! In the process of buying a house we needed a quote to figure out possible repair costs. Eric came within a few hours and took his time to inspect the house very thoroughly, pointing out issues the home inspector missed. We had the quote next day. Everything done for free so far in a very respectful and knowledgeable way. Once we had the house we asked Eric to send his crews in for repairs. They worked on the roof, the windows, the eaves troughs and deck, Eric inspected the work once it was done and did not shy away from letting a trade come back to finish up a job in a better way. Everything was done in a day with no interruption to our life. The crews cleaned up after themselves and were all very friendly. Communication with Eric was always easy and timely.

We submitted an insurance claim for our roof shingles. The insurance company agreed to repair part of it. Eric from GreenSky arranged a full inspection of our roof and soft metals. As a result of his teams thorough inspection of our roof, our insurance company changed their their initial acceptance for part of our claim, from $3000.00 cash settlement to $22,900.00. Without Eric's help we would have been on the hook for the remaining $20,000.00 GreenSky's team were fast and clean in their work. It took two guys about 4 days to complete 3100Sq feet of roof. I cannot thank them enough for the help with my claim and the quality of the work carried out. I highly recommend GreenSky before you accept any offer for an insurance claim for roof repairs.

The people at Green Sky Roofing have been awesome. The main contact for my work was Jaime, and he was most professional, down to earth, and fair. David was the main guy for installation of my siding. He is friendly, professional, and his quality of work is impeccable. Because of Dave and his awesome work ethic, I'm already in discussions with Green Sky for future work on my home. Nothing but good things to say all round. Also important to note, I had 3 quotes done before I decided to go with Green Sky, and not only is their workmanship done to the highest standard, but their prices beat out the competition by a decent and noticeable amount. I'm very happy with them.

The hail storm last summer in June 2020 damaged houses in our community. The roof, sidings and windows of our house needed repair so I started looking for a contractor who could help me restore our house to its original condition. I came across Green Sky and read the reviews and thought I should try their services. Jeff and his team responded quickly and did an assessment of the scope of the damage and submitted an estimate. Green Sky also helped us with our insurance claim. The rest is history. Jeff and his team did an excellent job in the repair process. I am confident that our house is back to it's safe and stable condition as before the hail storm.

The work done by Green Sky was on time and efficient. Their pricing was competitive and they did a wonderful job keeping the property clean and free of debris and nails. The inspection at the end of the installation was appreciated and any questions were answered. They missed the 5 star because of the promises made by the sales person's as to how the process would work with a project manager. I don't believe it made a difference to the quality of the work but, expectations were set that weren't realized. I would recommend and I wouldn't hesitate to have Green Sky back to do work.

I contacted Green Sky roofing to fix our hail damage. I am glad that they found all the damages that the previous contractor did not notice. They are easy to deal with. However, the only thing I would like to bring to your attention is they put all the sidings and all parts needed in front of our garage door, so when we came from work, we can't park our car in the garage. By law, you cannot block the garage, and I was not pleased. My husband, who had surgery with lifting limitations, and I need to move everything to use our garage. This is not satisfactory.

The roof installation (shingle replacement) was performed professionally. Green Sky gave me a very competitive rate and worked with me to find a payment plan that fit my budget. The crew worked around a few bad days of weather and was still able to complete the work in a reasonable amount of time. The clean up was quite thorough despite a fair amount of snow on the ground. They found that the siding around the fireplace chimney needed to be replaced and promptly completed that repair as well. The work was very good value for the cost.

Jeff with Green Sky was highly professional throughout the start and completion of this project. He was instrumental to getting me a better payout from the insurance company, my insurance had initiation estimated that just a portion of the roof will be replaced., after the hailstorm that ravaged Calgary last year. He did a thorough and careful investigation and discovered that the entire roof should be replaced. Moreover, he and his crew did an excellent replacement job, very neat and well completed. I highly recommend this company.

Eric came out immediately to do a roof inspection and said he would have a quote to us in 3 to 4 days. After 6 days of not hearing from him I contacted him and was told that we have a complex project, it was installing a new roof thought that's what this company specialized in, wrong. I think there was something else going and just didn't want to be honest. In an economy that has gone into a recession one wouldn't think you would throw a $12k+ job away. But who am I, other than another small business trying to make ends meet.

Eric and the Green Sky crew did a great job on our roof and we are very pleased with it. The project was completed on-time with no mess or disruption and for a fair and competitive price. Other roofing companies I have used in the past left old shingle nails scattered on the ground here and there but Eric's crew was very careful and there was absolutely no sign they had been there (except for the new roof). I would highly recommend Eric and his company to anyone requiring renovations or construction. Thanks for a great job!

I spent over a month searching for a reliable roofing company. I am so glad that I found Greensky. We had a 40k worth of repairing done that caused by the hail damage. My neighbor referred me to GreenSky after a shitpile of problems he had after using a smaller outfit. The product advisor at greensky explained the whole process and all products that need to be used when installing a roof system. They back their work with a 10 year warranty and my roof was finished the day they started work! Friendly guys, cleaned up everything and my roof looks great. Couldn't be happier. We have an older 50's bungalow in North Glenmore with original gutters that had seen better days. They were leaking at the corners and weren't sloped to the downpipes properly. We had Green Sky come out to inspect them and determine that that best course of action was to install new gutters. They were able to do the work within a week and we were very happy with the results. Communication was good and they left the home as clean as when they found it. Gutters are now draining properly with no leaks.

I am shocked after seeing the 4.7 stars on google because I do not recommend or trust them! They messed up the valley on my roof and would not fix it, even after contacting them about it. They are not professional and would come to my house without contacting me beforehand, causing everyone in the house to wake up early in the morning. Lastly, they messed up my chimney cap and took a long time to come and fix it after reaching out to them. Definitely do not recommend them to anyone in Calgary!

I decided to list my home and had hail damage, took insurance money and got 4 quotes. David the sales person to start was very professional, responsive. Quotes were professional, fair with full warranty. All work was completed within a timely manner that was important due to my house sale. Green Sky replaced my old skylight with a new one. Eric came and examined the existing skylight, prepared the scope of work and provided a competitive quote. Eric was very honest and reliable. He was fast and efficient in completing the work. He also carried out minor fixes as he saw necessary. He also pointed out potential issues that might be of concern on the roof in the future. I will not hesitate to recommend Green Sky to anyone. Excellent job Eric.

We had Greensky Roofing complete replacement of siding from the Hail storm of July 2021. The only contractor that was responsive and able to perform work before winter arrives. The team of installers (2) were very professional and respectful to our property. Completed in 3 days and looks great. The eavestrough was also replaced in 1 day. Would recommend Greensky Roofing for exterior repairs. They are a local Calgary company and that was important to us.

We had hail damage in the summer of 2020. Green Sky was one of the only companies that got us a quote in a timely manner. They worked with my insurance company and caught damage the adjuster never mentioned. The roofing, siding, and gutter crews were professional and very efficient. Eric was able to import siding from another province to get the project complete when there was a siding shortage in the province. I highly recommend Green Sky Roofing.

We loved the hard work put in by the crew! Love to had the heads up for days when I didn’t know if the crew was coming or not. They met the agreement as talked about and agreed to. Last item installed was done quickly and looked messy. If asked for someone to come and fix it up but no further contact. Once the job was done, communication ceased so I don’t know if someone will come to fix the messiness. Final product overall was nicely done!

Eric and his team took care of us from start to finish. He was very attentive to our goals and the timelines were very close to what was promised. Hardy Board, all soft metal a garage door and the installation of gemstone lights, we look brand new and couldn't be happier! Don't hesitate to get Eric and his crews involved. His prices were far and away the best, don't spend too much time looking for a better deal, use the pros!

Greensky was awesome to deal with for our hail claim. We had the whole exterior of the house replaced. Hardie Board, roof, soffits etc. Greensky was very helpful with the insurance company and came in at a competitive price. Some of my neighbours used other companies and regretted not going with Greensky as they have had nothing but problems. I would defiantly recommend Greensky for any exterior house repairs or replacement!

It was a great pleasure and honour to have met Eric personally. I had issues with my house and the entire team at Green Sky were suuuuper fast. They were on time, efficient and was right on schedule. The work was 100% SOLID! I'd highly recommend Green Sky and when Eric speaks - you better listen. He's kind but firm and will never sugar coat the problem but will absolutely fix it! Eric and team did a great job. Easy to work with up-front on working out scope and materials. Great quality work and attention to detail. Nice job on the clean-up. There were a couple small problems with one of the subcontractors. These things happen. Eric was very quick to address the issues though and went the extra lengths to ensure we were happy. I would be very happy to recommend Green Sky to friends and neighbors.

Greensky was a fantastic company to have do the work on my house, my insurance company recommended them. Greensky managed all the different Trades well, with quality work being done quickly (shingles, siding repair, eaves, downspouts). Greensky was extremely accommodating to any additions and changes I made and I will definitely use Greensky again for any work I need done on my house. I absolutely recommend Greensky!

Amazing experience working with the whole team at Green Sky Roofing. They did wonders, getting me a new roof. I recently bought a house in rough shape, especially the roof, with missing vents and everything. Green sky roofing were very quick to get me a fair quote, schedule me a time to get the job done and finish it! Extremely happy with all that was done, my house looks brand new from the exterior!

Green sky was recommended by my insurance company inspector and upon a few reviews of different companies, Trevor was great to work with and help me through the process from start to finish on my siding repairs after a major hail storm. Some repairs were needed after the crew was completed and he stepped up to get it done. When the time comes to repair the roof, I will be reach out for a quote.

Impressed. Gutter was fixed when it was cold. When temperatures began rising, and the snow started to melt, i noticed a little dripping of water from the corner of the roof to our deck (very slippery). I texted green sky about my concern and immediately the very next day, someone came to fix it up. I was pleasantly surprised as i had thought it will be fixed “eventually”. Would recommend!

Our house got damaged from the hail storm in July 2021 and we chose Green Sky for the repairs. The company was able to replace more then just our roof that was damaged but also the siding, rain gutters and our garage door. The company was very professional about their work and was easy to communicate to. I will for sure use Green Sky again for any future restoration. Wonderful company!

A very good friend of mine worked for this company. He is an extremely hard worker, Honest and Generous person. He has done lots of Charity work and is a very big part of the community. Greensky has failed to pay him for his work since December making things very stressful and extra hard on his mental health in these times.
