Rude receptionist !! 0 empthay and horrible manner. Was attached for not wearing a mask (offed to show medical exemption). Then asked to wait outside in the cold/rain, when I tired to explain, I got a called back from pathology, she continued to make it difficult, already having answers to the questions she was asking me. It's not what she said but how she said it with anger/ aggression/loud tone. Nobody deserves to be disrespected in that way. Especially first thing in the morning, in doctors consulting suite of all places! Very disappointing from a health care clinic. An other patient asked if I was okay. Her behaviour was unprofessional and a little narcissistic. A little sympathy goes along way. I asked to speak to the practice manage and she heard and came out for round 2!! I politely said to her, I did not want to speak with her, (understandably) and she turned in a huff walked back into the staff only room and closing the door making sure I heard her say: "I was rude". LUCKY ALL OFF THIS WAS CAUGHT ON THE CLINICS CAMERAS!!!! We are all in this hard time together and this is life now! That behaviour from a clinical/ individual is poor form. I have called head office to hopefully assist in the matter.

Firstly, everyone must accept the risk associated with medical treatment. Nothing and no one is perfect. Medicine is not perfect or always an exact science. Please do not Dr Google. You're not a doctor. Leave your treatment and diagnosis to the experts. I've done it a few times. It was a mistake. After the diagnosis, feel free to Dr Google to better understand your condition. Of course, feel free to get a second opinion as you see fit. Please don't be angry if the doctor doesn't prescribe the medication you want or disagrees with your self-diagnosis. Again, they're the experts, you're not. If they don't give you what you want it's probably because it would be professionally negligent if they did. I've attended the clinic for around 8 years on an unfortunately regular basis. The staff have always been helpful and attentive despite some reviews to the contrary. I'm not a doctor. I'm not qualified to judge medical competency, neither are the other reviewers. The doctors have been professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. I've trusted my treatment to them. I don't think you could expect to find better elsewhere.

I’ve been a patient here for over 5 years and the doctors and nurses have always been great. The reception staff, however, are incredibly rude and unkind. I was yelled at today by a lady with a blonde bob because my doctor had accidentally forgotten to order my blood test and was asking if anything could be done (understandably upset when I’d travelled in for the test which I need to start taking medication). This situation could have been handled with some empathy (e.g. very sorry, let me see what I can do) instead of yelling at me that I am “frustrated” and that nothing can be done. Turns out that it took 1 minute for another doctor to very kindly print the slip for me. For a place that is offering medical care to patients, it’s pretty unacceptable to have staff this rude and unkind. I’d give 5 starts if it wasn’t for the reception staff.

After a number of visits I decided this centre was not for me. A number of the receptionists have been blatantly rude and inconsiderate of patients illnesses and/or mental health.. My husband was turned away with severe lacerations due to a dog bite, even though he was bleeding quite heavily, the reason being "we are due to close in ten minutes". It is often impossible to book an appointment for a number of days due to Doctors being on leave or otherwise unavailable. I have met a number of the Doctors and have noticed they will often disregard my opinions and personal choices, including mental health medical history dating back over 25 years. Many of these Doctors have refused to prescribe certain medications that I have been taking for many years, even those prescribed by the hospital and psych Doctors. I do not recommend this practice.

Nurse/s overdosed my Mounjaro jab. Would complain to the health commissioner, but going by their pathetic 1.2 rating, what would be the point? I am definitely not going back to Guardian Medical. Also, was told by the nurse, Angela on the first attendance that I would be sent a YouTube link, a good source to look at so that I could self-administer dose. Plus, be shown hands-on how to self-administer the dose on the second visit. I never received an email or other communication about this. On the second visit Angela contradicted herself, and said she would not feel comfortable doing it that way. So, I would have to come back once a week to have the jabs. This is just another tactic they use to create revenue through the Medicare system. I would give a negative star amount, but the system does not allow for this. Not impressed!

I got an appointment with Dr. Victoria in this clinic after two days. So today just a while ago I met to this arrogant receptionist, OMG I can't believe how impolite and rude is she. I couldn't stand her anymore so I just walked away to see another clinic. It's my first time in Melbourne I been to this first clinic but not a really good experience. As far as I know the cilinic's receptionists in Sydney are more professional and welcoming. No comments for the doctor as I couldn't see any. I'll never ever like to come back to this clinic at all anymore. Just checked other reviews and not really good comments to this receptionist as well. I hope management should go through and place a decent person there. Good Luck.

The receptionist with the red bob needs a lesson in customer service. I am a patient at this clinic and encouraged my mum to book an appt for podiatry since the Physio’s here are so nice. We walked in the door to make the appt and she was rude from the start, took about 5 minutes to book an appt which should of taken 1 minute and about halfway through looked at us with a disgusted look on her face and asked if we had masks, then proceeded to say it’s ‘very awkward’ we aren’t wearing them. Wasn’t aware you needed a mask to make an appointment and had she been quicker then we would have been in and out in 30 seconds. She brings the clinic reputation down with her unnecessary rude attitude especially to new patients

There are several wonderful GPs at this clinic who are consistently empathetic, thorough and professional. For this reason, I have overlooked the impolite and disrespectful reception staff, and have been somewhat empathetic to them given the high stress job they perform daily. However, I recently attended the clinic for my daughter’s scheduled appointment, heavily-pregnant with a sick and crying toddler in my arms. The reception lady verbally abused and humiliated me for several minutes in front of onlooking patients with no provocation until I was in tears. I am very disappointed to move on from our family GP after several years, but I can’t subject myself or my children to this level of violence and abuse.

Venue is clean and light. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Melbourne pathologist is kind and caring. The GP I saw today was abrupt, rude and made me “sit in the corner” like I was a child, it wasn’t a nice experience and then proceeded to unprofessionally put down another (my) GP who had recently left the clinic but I got the referral I needed and didn’t have to wait long. Also, on a side note, at a previous appointment for my child Dr Mark Kearns advised that I try giving a medication again to my child despite having had an allergic reaction to it but, he says, don’t give it in peak hour in case he has a bad reaction and needs an ambulance.

I came in supporting my client who doesn’t have a lot of money and has a concession card. We have been bounced back and forth to Centrelink multiple times and every time she is asked to pay more and more money even though Centrelink have resolved the issue. When we speak to reception they are impolite, rude, and repeat themselves in a condescending way. I felt that she talked down to us and made us feel uncomfortable even though it was an admin issue between their clinic and Medicare. If you are a concession card holder, DONT GO HERE, SAVE YOURSELF THE PAIN AND HUMILATION. Hoping this review helps someone else as how they treat people is disgraceful.

Receptionists are unprofessional, unfriendly and poor at their jobs. 27th of April morning 2 women on were unhelpful to all customers and were too busy talking about barbecues and were exasperated whenever they had to talk to a customer. They were so rude and ableist to some old lady who was having trouble hearing them speak and were making fun of her with each other in my short time in the waiting room, hate to think about how they’d be throughout an entire shift. I was looking to find a doctor locally and reviews of doctors in the area were not flattering. I tried the Guardian Medical Centre and was glad I did. From receptionists to Doctor, all were polite, helpful, pleasant and efficient. Maybe it's a Victorian thing to complain and give poor reviews then maybe you don't need a medical doctor for your problem but they do their job well. If you have a problem with them, tell them rather than posting here as poor reviews can deter people from seeking help, as I nearly did. Fortunately I bit the bullet and I will have no problems with coming back if I need to.

In my 31 years i have spent far too much time in the dreaded Doctors. But recently i stumbled across Guardian Medical in Flemington. This is a pleasure to have on my doorstep, with helpful receptionists and a clean calm environment. Doctor Mark Kearns has been my Doctor at this facility for around a year now and in this time has been nothing but a professional.He has supported me through what has been a very tough year. His speedy and accurate diagnosis literally saved my life for which i will always be grateful. To summarise i highly recommend this establishment as a great family Health centre.

Rules for telehealth is clinic needs to have seen a face to face for Medicare covered telehealth appointments otherwise they only offer private appointment. Didn't bother to contact me to mention it as my son had visited for a consult earlier in the year for covid vaccination. They conveniently do not count this. Didnt bother to ring and i had to call them 1.5 hours later after the scheduled appointment. Disgusting lack of communication and attitude to patient care. Zero professionalism shown in this regard. Will be making a complaint to health complaints commissioner.

I am terribly disappointed in this clinic who have refused to see my 16 month old girl, despite having appointments available on their online system. Administration stated to me over the phone that these would be reserved for existing customers only. As a registered nurse myself, I understand the demands on the healthcare system wholeheartedly. However, the hospitals are currently inundated and families are being encouraged to attend GP services to reduce strain. This becomes impossible when you are refused an appointment in the first instance.

I’ve been a patient here for years and I’ve always overlooked the rude reception staff as the GPs have always been good. Just had an awful interaction with one of the receptionists when I rang to ask about X-ray results for my little girl who has a suspected fracture. She was incredibly dismissive and told me they were busy and there’s nothing they can do until next week. She just wanted me off the phone and appeared to have no empathy towards our situation. My family won’t be going back.

I went this morning to see Dr. Victoria Worgan and she told me I had to book in another appointment to do the pap smear test because her next patient was already waiting for her. She received me 10 minutes later and pretty much kicked me out. She also said that general check-ups are not done in Australia, that those are a Europe thing, that you only go to the Dr. if you have any symptoms, since when is that preventative medicine? I don't trust her AT ALL. Money making industry hey!

I’m writing the review that I wish someone had submitted for me. My wife came in this morning, only to be told she didn’t have an appointment, despite having TWO email confirmations (request and approval). The staff were incredibly rude, shouted and humiliated her in front of many onlookers until she cried. It’s hard to believe, but here we are. My advice is to avoid this place, or similar to us, you may plan your entire day to attend this clinic only to be turned around.

My little family were at the clinic at 9:15 this morning and saw two reception staff verbally attacking and humiliating a poor woman. I was so disgusted that I just had to post a review as soon as we left our appointment. I've never seen something so aggressive or unprofessional in my life and we simply cannot come back and expose our family to this. This incident should be reviewed as it reached such a level that laws may have been broken. For shame Guardian!

I went to see the doctor here for the first time. One of the receptionists (short hair) was very disrespectful to me, she raised her voice at different times while I was asking questions about the payment. If you work with people everyday, YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT, that's common sense. I'm not from Australia and she knew that, still she made me feel awful about not knowing the payment procedure. INCREDIBLE RUDE! such an awful place, not recommended at all!!!

The system in Australia is definitely broken, my GP is overwhelmed at my normal clinic so I cannot even get a Telehealth appointment to obtain a script for a antidepressant. So I go to this sister clinic where I was last over 12 months ago, am not eligible for Telehealth, not being face to face in the recon 12 months, and need to come in and pay $85 for a script for medication I’ve been on for several years.

Hayley was super helpful in getting me a covid 19 vaccination appointment after I had spent the entire afternoon searching the city for vaccination centres, to no avail. She was bright, bubbly and understanding. The doctor was also very thorough and helped me understand the risks involved in getting the Astra Zeneca vaccine. My family and l have been attending ‘Showgrounds Guardian Medical Centre’ since opening. During this period we’ve had 100’s appointments (some ongoing acute issues) and on ‘every’ occasion; the reception staff, Doctors (particularly Worgan & Kearns) and Pathology have shown considerable skill, knowledge and professionalism. I have recommended this Centre to friends.

He never dismisses any of my concerns no matter how small. Great customer service and medical advice every time. And they are usually pretty close to running on time which is awesome.
