હાઇવે પર જમવાનું ક્યાં સારું મળે? મારા અનુભવે જે જગ્યા એ ટ્રક ડ્રાઇવર હોંશે હોંશે જમતા હોય તે જગ્યા જમવા માટે ઉત્તમ છે. કારણ કે ડ્રાઇવરો એ રોજ બહાર જમવાનું હોય તેઓ ને તાજુ સારુ જમવાનું જોઈએ અને તે પણ યોગ્ય કિંમતે. પણ ફેમીલી સાથે ગયા હોય ત્યારે આ ડ્રાઇવરો ની પ્રિય હોટેલ આપણને માફક નથી આવતી તેનું કારણ સુવિદ્યાઓ નો અભાવ હોય છે. આજ વિરમગામ થી અમદાવાદ આવતા સોંખડી ગામે ગુરુકૃપા હોટેલ માં જમવાનું થયું. આ હોટેલ પર અસંખ્ય ટ્રક અને કાર પાર્ક થયેલી હતી. કારણ કે અહી ફેમિલી માટે AC રૂમ્સ પણ ઉપલબ્ધ છે. અમે કાઠીયાવાડી ખોરાક જેવું કે દહી તિખારી, લસનીયા બટેટા, દાલ મખની, જીરા રાઈસ, રોટલી પરોઠા અને છાશ મંગાવી. દહી તીખારી અને લસણિયું બટેટા ખૂબ સ્વાદિષ્ટ હતા. પરોઠા ભરેલ તાવડે તળેલા હતા. દાલ મખની મને પસંદ ના આવી. તેને બનાવવામાં ખુબ ભૂલો થયેલી હતી.. પણ દહી તિખરી સહેજ ખાટા દહી માં લસણ ડુંગળી જીરું અને લાલ મરચા નો અદભુત વઘાર આમતો જો આવી સ્વાદિષ્ટ દહી તિખારિ ઉપલબ્ધ હોઈ તો બીજા કોઈ શાક ની જરૂર જ રહેતી નથી. લસણિ યા બટેટા પણ ખૂબ સારા હતા . સાદુ, સ્વાદિષ્ટ અને ખિસ્સા પર બોજ ન બને તેવું યાદગાર ખાણું જો વિરમગામ ની આસપાસ ખાવું હોઈ તો મારી દ્રષ્ટિએ ગુરુકૃપા હોટેલ શ્રેષ્ઠ જગ્યા છે. એકવાર મુલાકાત જરૂર લેજો.
