I have been going to Gustos for several years now and finally decided I should do a review. Usually I leave my reviews for higher end or spectacular location type places, but i realized it's the day in and day out places we go to on a regular basis that we should be sharing the love with. I mean, if the food, service or something else was that bad, would we going back on a regular basis? Gustos is located in the heart of the Foothills Industrial Park in Calgary. Its in a little Industrial area with other industrial shops that surround it. From the outside its very non descript and the inside is clean but not fancy. But what it does offer is excellent food, great service at a fair price. At the end of the day, isn't that what we all look for in a place we can go back to again and again? Ninety percent of the time I pick up a pizza on the way home, the Gustos special. Like a lot of mom and pop type places, they don't skimp on the toppings and their signature pizza is amazing! The other 10% of the time I stop in for lunch and either have their special or choose one of the many delicious and decent sized meals they offer at a reasonable price. Like all places its not just the food but the people that bring you back. The owner is just such one of of those people. She is hard working, generous and always remembers your name and what you like to eat. I can't help but to recommend this little hole in the wall as we say. Great food, great slection great service and good prices are what mske this a place that I will always come back to and recommend.

I've eaten here, and drank here, countless times over the past few decades. Due to circumstances and covid I haven't been around for a long time but grabbed a friend and said" I know this place " I would say my go-to in the past almost always was the lasagna with pepperoni, but we fancied pizza today and it didn't disappoint. This is what I call Calgary pizza, good old steak and spaghetti houses with Greek families running the joints. There is no other pizza for me and whenever people come from all over the world to visit me here, they always leave in awe of how amazing our pizza is here. I've said in the past in other reviews you can keep that fancy 'true' garbage that gets passed off as extra expensive pizza or any of the chains, for me it has to be Greek style Calgary pizza. Even though I haven't been here in years, I recognized our waitress which tells you something, lots of the regulars at lunch time, this is deep in the foothills industrial area and all of the locals in this neck of the woods know this place from back when there was no other restaurants around except for the subs and such. It just feels kind of like home in here.

A cozy Italian restaurant in a rather industrial area of Calgary! It's a slightly tucked away restaurant serving an assortment of Italian dishes like pastas, steaks, and much more. The service is great, friendly and relatively fast. Unfortunately, the food was a bit underwhelming for me and my friends. This was especially true for the steaks, as they all seemed to be overcooked. Medium rares were nearly well done, and rares were about medium rare. Besides that, the food was good. I highly recommend the PEI mussels starter, and the garlic bread that comes standard with many dishes is excellent as well! Parking is limited during peak hours. Still a recommendation from me.

This place is amazing from when I called to make a reservation. Walking in was clean and has a really nice atmosphere. The food was outstanding from steak to the pizza and other foods we ordered. Drinks were made well just the way I'd want it fresh and in a chilled glass. The waitress and cook were so impressive as well. (KATRINA) went above and beyond and made my Birthday extra special felt like the best day ever!!! Thanks again for everything ❤️

I went here after the reviews but highly regret it. The location is super dusty due to the construction and commercial area but this place seemed cheap, old and the food is average. May have to try again but my first impressions are opposite of most reviews I read. The table and restaurant felt pretty dirty due to atmosphere, the staff were good to be fair. The food was a little too expensive and the simple items like chicken fingers... hard pass. We had pizza and chicken fingers and the pizza was alright but honestly this place was average at best but I hope you find it better then I did.

A little gem of a place in a section of the city that I would have never expected, Gusto's food punches you in the mouth with flavour. The front of house is a passionate lady, and the food is all fresh, no pre made garbage. I had baked fettuccine alfredo, and I'd get it again and again. The people I was with had amazing looking food, and I was kind of jealous that I didn't try some of the other stuff. I'm definitely going back, because that was top notch.

I have been wanting to try Gusto’s for such a long time and finally made it there tonight. It is a cool, old-school spot tucked in the industrial park off Glenmore & Barlow. When you walk in you are warmly greeted by the lovely proprietor, Katerina. She is a very nice lady and it is obvious why this place is loved by her regulars. I had her pizza and it was excellent. It is pan style Greek pizza but it is also very light and is not greasy which is unique for Greek style pan pizzas. Come here for the pizza and come back again and again for the warm hospitality.

Great little family owned restaurant. Food was real homemade and delicious. Ordered Veal Parm and schnitzel with a calamari starter. All real good. In fact ordered a pizza to go cause good Greek pizza is hard to find. This was excellent and Katrina was wonderful, owner and server!

Ever find a place so good that you want to keep it a secret ? That is Gusto's ! We happened to find this lovely little place quite randomly and may I say- what a happy find it turned out to me. Katrina and Shannon- please know that you are both the definition of hospitality and kindness. Such a pleasure chatting to you both. The food was AMAZING I highly recommend the spicy chicken fettuccine and everything else on the menu- you can't go wrong! Their apple crumble - divine! Thank you for a wonderful lunch and I'll see you very soon !

I found a great little gem. Started working in the area and stumbled on Gustos. The very next day I decided that I would take some pizza home for supper. We loved it. The fresh made pizza dough is just the way we like it, nice and thick. The sauce is really good. Generous amount of toppings and cheese. Husband said that we have found a new pizza place. And to top it all off, the staff and owner are so very nice. Will definitely make it a go to place.

I was at this restaurant for lunch. The food was good, but the service was one of the poorest I ever received. We came for our lunch break and the waitress did not bring even water or the menu for the first 10 minutes. I had to get up and go ask her for the menu. The food arrived 30 minutes later. The waitress was so not personable nor welcoming.. We still left a tip which was actually unnecessary for the poor service.

amazing experience here last night, every dish we had ordered exceeded our expectations. Large portions & fresh ingredients. Service was lovely as well. Will be back!

I can’t recommend this place enough. I will crave the Greek salad everyday now, incredible calamari and the Tzatziki was to die for. Some of the best food I have had in long time..The service was also amazing, you can tell how much love is put into everything.

I have to say, I was so impressed with the food and service. We have never been to this restaurant and I wanted to support local. Katrina was an excellent host and made my birthday extra special! My steak sandwich had such flavor with the delicious garlic bread. We read and heard good reviews about the pizza that we will try it next! We will definitely be back and try more on the menu.

Ok so a hidden gem for sure. Met some friends here for lunch today. The food is fresh, tasty, delicious, I licked up all the meat sauce from the plate. The staff are so friendly. Will for sure be going back, had the chicken parmesan today next time it will be the lasagna.

I ordered 8 large pizzas for a work function and was absolutely thrilled with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff at Gusto's. Not only did the pizzas arrive exactly on time (and piping hot), they were absolutely delicious. Thanks to the staff for thinking of paper plates and napkins as an "extra" :) We will definitely be ordering from here again.

I enjoyed the atmosphere the most because I felt like I was listening to important conversations. The food was good and the service was good, nothing wrong but nothing exemplary. Pretty good choice if you're working in the area nearby.

First time going to Gustos tonight. Katrina treated us like family right away. The food is absolutely amazing! We had the steak sandwich, triple Decker Turkey club, chicken quesadilla and the beef and onion pizza. Everyone loved their food. We will definitely be back.

The food was great. There soup each day is the best I've had in a reastraunt in a long time. I was there twice in the week, as I was travelling on business. There Daly special on reasonable price and good choices. I had there 7 oz. Steak and it was done just the way I ordered it. Excellent service by there serving staff.

Was in the area late afternoon so decided to drop by after reading this place on a Reddit post. The decor is a little outdated but the food is legit. Pizza was delicious. The toppings are plentiful and stacked below the cheese so the photo does little justice. The steak sandwich deal is a bargain and was also delicious.

Worst quality of food you can imagine. They are racist and ageism’s. Stay away. Management is a joke and there’s a reason they close on weekends they have no staff to pay.

Industrial area eating place. Good food friendly sevices staff..food is reasonably price...however the kitchen is slow getting the orders out....takes over half an hour to get your meal...my customers don't have that time for a working lunch.

Gusto's Restaurant and Lounge is iconic for their long presence in serving great food in the area. The food and service are always great. For lunch, get there early because there is limited parking in the area.

Went for a friend's birthday gathering and the service was friendly with an unique menu that felt home cooked or even small town. Simple and effective lil place including the decor and vibes. Had a nice time!

Thought it was a dive bar, turned out to be a hidden gem. Food was AMAZING!
