Here’s why I gave Hotel du College de France FIVE stars. LOCATION: The RER-B train from CDG airport drops you off less than a 5 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to numerous restaurants, from casual (sometimes touristy) side-walk cafes to high end French cuisine. The hotel near the Seine and is walkable to several tourist attractions like Notre Dame, The Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, and if you have good walking shoes, the Arc de Triumph and Champs-Élysées. HOSPITALITY: We were greeted upon arrival by Jean Marc and Yana. We arrived early and while we waited for our room to be ready, we were offered a delicious double expresso. The entire staff went out of their way to offer us a very pleasant experience. Breakfast was a very reasonable 10 Euros per person per day and served in a very quaint breakfast room. Made to order eggs were offered (scrambled, boiled, etc) and there were a variety of meats, cheeses, pastries, and breads. Everyone who worked the breakfast shift was delightful, but Melanie in particular was amazing. THE ROOM: The room was small (it’s Paris!) and basic but served its purpose. A clean comfortable bed, a shower with excellent water pressure and abundant hot water, and our particular room had a nice view with two Juliet balconies (one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom.) Our room also had enough power outlets for all our devices (this is a pet peeve of mine at some European hotels.) There was also a mini fridge with two complimentary bottles of water in it, which was greatly appreciated. IN SUMMARY: This hotel wildly exceeded my expectations. I’ve stayed at several small independent hotels in Paris and have often been disappointed. From the very beginning to the very end we were beyond satisfied. The check out process was also a breeze. I received an email the morning of checkout where I was able to review my folio, pay, and select my preferred check out time. All I needed to do on my way out was hand the key to the reception desk attendant, who also had reserved a taxi for us.

We had a fantastic stay for four nights for the Paris Marathon. The room was bigger than we expected, clean and modern. And we couldn’t believe how quiet it was. Even with a window open, there was no noise from traffic. The hotel is in a great location, not far from the pantheon, the Seine and a stones throw from Metro stations. The hotel is styled beautifully, and the hosts, Jean-Marc and Marianne were very friendly, helpful and engaging. We will definitely stay again next time we are in Paris!

The room was much bigger than we expected, very clean, and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom clean and well appointed. The room had a good sized tv, with BBC world news which we appreciated as English speakers. The room was really really quiet. We heard no traffic noise whatsoever.

We felt very safe throughout our stay. the area is well lit, and well frequented. At no point did we see anything that was concerning.

We were able to walk to a lot of the key tourism sites, including Notre Dame, Place Vendome, the Louvre, Musee Dorsay, and Pompidou Centre. The Eiffel Tower, Trocadero and Sacre couer were easy to get to from the metro station 200 metres from the hotel.

The continental breakfast had a good selection and was very reasonably priced.

What a wonderful and charming Parisian hotel. This was my first time visiting Paris and I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel manager, Mr. Taltavull (who has an excellent sense of humor) was very accommodating when my partner and I arrived early for check-in. He introduced us to Yana, at the front desk, who is a new employee (but you wouldn’t know it). Yana’s professionalism and very pleasant disposition were a joy to experience. Note-She also makes great scrambled eggs. Most mornings we were assisted by Melonie during our delicious and generous petit dejeuner. Melonie was so kind. She even helped me with my french! We were a little disappointed that we didn’t get to say goodbye to Melonie before we left, but I guess we will just have to come back sometime! If we could give more than 5 stars, we would.

The Hotel du College de France made our time in Paris that much better. It is a truly charming hotel. Our room, the Superior Balcony with an Eiffel Tower view, was everything we could have hoped for. The receptionist joked that the tower was far off, but we found ourselves sitting on the balcony each night until 12:05 to appreciate the view. It was also an excellent place to sit and enjoy our coffee before heading into the city. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel’s location was perfect. It’s only a block from busy streets with bakeries, cafes, and Notre Dame, but was somehow calm and peaceful all day. Getting around the city could not have been more simple using metro stops just a few minutes away. The staff at the hotel was truly exceptional. They sent several emails checking in before we arrived, and were truly accommodating while we were there. They happily answered questions, gave recommendations, and were eager to provide anything we might need to improve our stay. We adored our time at the Hotel du College de France and would not hesitate to stay here again

Small hotel. Lift only goes to the fifth floor. Need to walk to the sixth floor. Not that many stairs.The room was very small. We did get some more hangers for our clothes. No draws. The staff were lovely. Especially Eric he seemed to be always working. Eric started off doing breakfasts. Also saw him in the evening when checking in and out. Eric and another lovely man, helped with sorting out the hangers and taking away a foldable bed. The bed was amazing really comfortable. The aircon in the room was amazing too. Kept lovely and cool. Definitely would go again

We were on the 6th floor and had a good size room, in European standards. The elevator went to 5th floor and we carried our luggage one floor up to our room. We were emailed before our stay to make sure that we were capable of negotiating stairs which was very respectful.

It has been a month and my feelings haven't changed about this place. The lasting impression above all is the beautiful people that work in this place. Every. Single. One. So, thank you for making us feel at home. There was 5 of us. The kids got a bigger room and toilet. Their room had a bath; a bidet and normal toilet. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Ample food for breakfast. I requested almond milk and it wasn't a problem. They remembered it for the rest of my stay. I love the scrambled eggs. Very helpful reception. Great location. Beautiful and clean interior. Will stay there again.

The rooms are fairly small (typical of Paris hotels) but very comfortable and clean. The breakfast is very good and costs only 10 euros per person. What sets this hotel apart is the top-notch service. I want to give a special shout-out to Sebastien who went above and beyond to make my daughter’s birthday more special. We had a great stay at the Hotel du College de France. The location is very convenient to metro, restaurants, sites, etc. The room is compact and the bed a little harder than I like, but overall very well appointed and clean. Nice desk area with mini fridge and large bathroom. Breakfast was tasty and the woman who worked in the breakfast room was wonderful. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, whether it be helping us find a list key or fixing us a breakfast to go to the airport. Thank you to Jacque(?), Nils, and Sebastian at the front for helping us out. Great place to stay. Hope you come back.

We travelled to Paris for a sightseeing trip and booked this hotel several weeks in advance. The location is amazing, it's very close to great bars, restaurants, the Notre Dame, and much more. It also felt very safe at night in this area. The hotel rooms are ok in size for Paris, and they were clean. The only thing I was not so happy about was the room service - for example, they did not clean the mugs properly when we arrived, so we had mugs that still had stains on them from the previous guests. Other than that it was definitely a good hotel and the reception had very kind hosts.

The staff and owner were so much more than accommodating. The room was fantastic and Jean Marc the owner upgraded our room because there was a cancelation without us knowing until we arrived. We were shocked and pleasantly surprised. The view from the room was phenomenal as were able to see the eiffel tower from our balcony. We thank them for everything especially Jean Marc. We hope to visit again when we can. Thank you again for everything. To end my review the front desk staff was absolutely amazing and helpful with all of our questions and you really don't want to hesitate staying here!

We had the best stay! We came to Paris for a few nights with our three children aged 6,10 &12 and the staff were so wonderful and helpful. We were put in a wing where we all had our own space comfortably.The hotel is very sweet, warm and we even used the Nanny service so my husband and I could go out to the Moulin Rouge for the night! The nanny was so kind and the children loved her. I would love to come back and visit again another time soon! Thank you Yana and team - you made our trip so comfortable and easy.

This is our first trip to Paris and we couldn't have been happier with the hotel. We booked the balcony room as it was our honeymoon. Before we arrived, we had plenty of communication from the hotel. The reception team were great and helped us navigate to the best pastries and meals out in the area. The location was perfect for getting around the sights and for local food in the evening. Our room and balcony were perfect. We even spent an evening on the balcony. We're already planning our next trip and know exactly where we'll be staying!

I wish I could give ten stars as a review. This hotel was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Their hotel desk service was absolutely above and beyond the call of duty.I want to throw out a special call to Majid who was always so welcoming and helpful. The night manager was going off duty and took time to stop by our breakfast table to introduce himself. The bed was slightly hard for us and when I expressed my concern they placed an extra mattress which fixed the problem immediately. Breakfast was perfect. The location was perfect. In short, please do not hesitate to book your stay. It’s truly a fabulous hotel.

This Hotel was perfectly located within walking distance of all the wonderful sites we had in our list. If we couldn’t walk the Metro was steps away. It was perfect. All our luggage fit great in their cozy little room. The room did exactly what it should, provided a very comfortable bed with fluffy feather pillows. A perfect size bathroom for both shower and bath. We were able to watch Netflix at night too. The staff was amazing and friendly and always helpful. I would return to this Hotel in second. Highly recommend.

Really cozy hotel in a quiet area. Walking distance from all the main attractions. Surrounded by tons of good restaurants and a vibrant life. The rooms are small but very clean and very comfortable. We stayed three nights at the hotel and our experience was really great! Our room on the sixth floor was really nice and with a pretty view. The room was clean, spacious, recently renovated and the bathroom was clean and comfortable. The staff was great, always available and nice to us. Located not far from the Seine in the Latin Quarter of Paris. The rooms are comfy and spotless. Making a great base for a city break. Yesterday we walked over the Ile de Citi and onto the Louvre just soaking up the atmosphere of Paris. After queueing to go up the Arc de Triomph we headed for the Eiffel Tower before working our way along the Left Bank. I cannot sing the praises of the hotel staff enough, very cheerful and responsive. A real great stay.

The only problem with the room was it was smaller than we expected and there was no drawer space to store our clothes other than in our suitcases, but, I guess most rooms in European hotels are small due to lack of accommodation space generally! Stayed there for seven nights and had the most wonderful time. Rooms are nice and clean with air conditioners and excellent service. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We used their laundry service several times and were very satisfied with it. Also, the location is superb! This is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Paris with tons of restaurants and a metro station is less than 10 min walk away from the hotel.

A fabulous find. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. My husband learns French and the receptionist and the breakfast lady were happy to speak French with him. The breakfast was so good we will definitely have it here every morning of our stay. I will stay here next time we are in Paris.

Tremendous front office service. This is by far the reason that you guys get a 5-star. Also a nice touch to be welcomed by the owner. However, amenities could be a bit "wealthier" (a pair of slippers and a hygiene box/day would be nice). All in all, I would totally recommend it. Especially if you want a balcony, go for the best room this hotel has to offer. It is worth it.

Great place to stay in Paris in the heart of everything you would want to see. Paris is very walkable/metro if you stay in the right areas and this is one of them. The rooms are small but comfortable & so convenient to food, shopping and public transportation. All of the staff were so very courteous, helpful and friendly. I would absolutely stay here again. Receptionist Anderson was our favorite, he gave us some great tips & made our stay extra special! We will miss Paris and our little home away from home.

Ideal location for the Latin Quarter. Rooms are compact but everything you need, very clean and cool in the heat of August. Madjid on reception made our stay though. He was wonderful... helpful, attentive, informative. Would definitely recommend.

Probably the kindest hotel staff I have ever met in Paris. I had to come here for one night after my reservation was messed up at a previous hotel during a work trip. It was easy to get in for one night and I enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

Our family of five had an exquisite experience here. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They arranged a large suv to the airport for us as well. The building is so beautiful and comfortable. Just loved everything! Will definitely return!

The outstanding staff were excellent guides to the city. The location is close to everything, but also quiet at night. The hotel had everything we needed for a family of five and adjoining rooms. Would highly recommend!

Great hotel, very quaint. Room were small, but have a lovely little balcony, allowing you a view of the sky lines. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all welcoming and helpful. It’s central to metro and bus services to allow you all round the city. I would definitely return. Plus

This hotel honestly made our trip to Paris. It was so lovely and the staff were beyond friendly and accommodating - a great representation for France. Specific points to note: Laundry service was great at €10 for a bag, the wifi was very fast, and the TV allowed chrome cast and YouTube.

The rooms were nicely renovated and the hotel was adorable. The location was great close to some touristy stuff. The staff were lovely and were able to help us with laundry late in the afternoon l. The breakfast is great!

It was Amazing! I Stayed 3 days here. Rooms are nice and clean and all the people working here are very kind! It’s only 8 minutes walking from Notre Dame. Very good place to stay if you want to visit Paris :)

Great very central hotel. Awesome staff. Earlier reviews that said no air con are not correct. They added aircon during hotel upgrade recently. Rooms a bit small but that’s pretty much every room JJ central Paris. Highly recommended and would stay again Plus

Comfortable and clean rooms. The area is quiet at night. The laundry place is just a few steps away. But you can have them do your laundry for 10 Euro per bag. The staff were super friendly.

Excellent boutique hotel. Why this hotel? The manager really cares! The team takes pride, the rooms are nice, well cared for. I have stayed in hotels in this area for the same price, with the same "rating". But this is the place to stay.
