wide selection but almost nothing has prices on it—even the things on shelves with prices on the shelves, if you look… they all go to different products than what they have on the shelves. so if you go to ring up something that said it was $3, don’t be surprised when it’s $9. adds up quick if you’re getting more than one thing. oh, and don’t bother asking. four separate employees told me either “i don’t know” offering no solution or “you have to buy it to find out”. i’ve been here dozens of times and staff always talks to people like they’re an inconvenience, rather than the reason they’re in business. if you don’t expect to be treated kindly when you’re supporting a business, and it doesn’t matter how much anything costs to you, then it’s a great place to shop! just don’t buy any pastries or frozen breads—i tried for the third time today, and once again, my cream cake was filled with mold. their frozen bakery section looks wonderful, but—it’s in a refrigerator, and all the packages say KEEP FROZEN. so, if you care about food safety, i wouldn’t shop here either. especially since you won’t know if you’re spending $10 on a cake just to bite into mold.

I usually come to this location to do some groceries, and it’s usually pretty great. I can find the bare necessities. You have to be careful when the employees weigh your produce/fruits because they don’t charge correctly. Usually I let it go, but today, I was overcharged by $20 on 3 Asian pears. I thought it was odd seeing that I was charged $11 per Asian pear and it looks like the employee just weighed it completely wrong and multiplied it three times on my receipt. He is an older gentleman who spoke Korean and likely managed the store. I usually don’t have any issues with the kind folks that work there, but the guy had quite a nasty attitude after I had paid and stayed to ask him a question about the charges. Anyways, just make sure you’re double checking your produce charges, especially if that older man checks you out.

This place is a SCAM!!!! Beware shoppers! They are using classic highway robbery sales tactics here. I was frequently shopping here until I noticed how much they lie about their prices. I got overcharged on 4 separated occasions maybe more. I had to correct the cashiers multiple times about me being overcharged (overcharged $10) and when I asked them to check it turned out every time i was right..They stopped putting price tags on a lot of items and when I was told that my kevita kombucha was almost $8 and my 12 pack of beer was almost $35 I had to investigate. What they are doing im pretty sure is illegal.

Stay away! Many items in this store are without price labels or the price labels have “outdated” prices, according to the cashiers. The weight is rarely accurate. It seems like they are always trying to squeeze a little extra money out of every transaction. I have personally caught them in the act multiple times and have confronted management about it, but the management couldn’t care less. It seems like nothing is being done to change this unacceptable behavior. I would advise anyone looking for a fair and trustworthy grocery shopping experience to steer clear of this establishment.

It's really great to find a grocery store with this kind of selection in the middle of a metropolitan city. We were staying at a nearby hotel and found it very convenient to pick up groceries from here. Good selection of Asian goods. On our stay of 6 days we went there 3, so we must have liked it a lot. Their Soju and sake selection is pretty big, so if you want to drink for less in your hotel room, this is a great place to go. They are open until 930pm Tried the fried chicken. The flavor is great but we didn't get it fresh.

I like this place. It has the stuff I need like cilantro, curry leaves, shredded coconut and some really good instant ramen. The only problem is the vague pricing. At the cash counter, the cashier tries their best to identify what the produce is and then charges you according to a price sheet. For example, I bought coconut with the brown shell and they thought it was young coconut and charged me for that. Same with the potatoes, they identified white potatoes as yellow and charged me for that.

Attended opening day and found the store to be well stocked and clean with a nice selection of fresh produce, ready to eat foods, frozen foods, and pantry necessities. This is a small, basement location and has limited shelf space so the inventory is not as extensive as Uwajimaya but this H Mart definitely carries all the basics plus really popular specialty items. There's also a deli and hot food item area for grab & go food with a small seating area that's very convenient.

This is a mini H Mart located in downtown Seattle by Pike Place market. Space is at a premium at this location but they seem to fill it with a huge amount of Asian grocery goods. After you come down the escalator, the deli and quick food options are on your right side. Throughout the rest of the space, they have a huge assortment of groceries that you take your time and check out. They have everything a typical H Mart has just minus the fresh fish section.

JC One Liner Review: Adequately maintained and stocked! The cleaned H Mart location I have ever visited in Washington or any other state. It almost seemed they hired an employee with OCD - all items are organized very nicely, and they stocked it that the brand names are facing you. The store is not small, either. It surely looked like they stepped up their game. I hope they keep this up. This location will be a massive plus for the downtowners.

  • Jonathan Mcfall

Super cool Asian focused market with a ready to eat bistro with variations of fried chicken marinated pork and beef seafood Rice all ready to go and the best part it's self serve. It's kind of more expensive to buy certain stuff here. Ice cream for instance will run you 3 dollars more than what you could pay at a gas station. All in all way better than the target on the next street and about 30 times more safe

  • Wm “Ben” Chitwood

I've been coming to this location since it opened. I've watched the prices steadily go up since it has been open, and the service steadily decline. There is no reason this store should be 30% more expensive in less than 5 years after opening. There's no reason any store should cost more than Whole Foods. Being greedy during a time of inflation and recession is a bad business choice, but what's new in Seattle?

  • Danny Tram

I was on my way to the Pike Place Market and had a chance to stop by H Mart. It seems like this location is smaller but cleaner and neater than others. All food items are stocked and diversified but quite expensive than other nearby stores’. Sometimes, I do come to buy anything but just so satisfy my eyes with colorful, beautiful, and unique items listed in the store. I highly recommend this store to anyone

  • Random Kid

don’t eat here. do not buy hot food because they are all rotten. I am visiting from the Bay Area near another h mart. the price seems like a good deal but it’s bc the quality is very bad. eat at your own risk! please do not eat the "Secret Sauce" chicken wings, coated in red. it straight up tasted like barf. the bean sprouts taste like plastic. the pork with rice was hard and tasted old. beware of the food.

  • Rachel P

We were visiting Mo pop and rode the Monorail over to Pike Place market. As we were walking to we saw this H mart. We've been to quite a few H marts and this one is really well stocked. They had a hot case with wings, they have Cold Case sashimi, they had a huge selection of ramen. Nice music playing. We really enjoyed going and looking at this H mart. We found our fave unagi kikkoman sauce.

  • bew

They had food on display in the middle of an non-frigerated aisle that was supposed to be refrigerated. Even 30 minutes after I told the cashier, pointed out exactly where the issue was, and some guy came to look at it, nothing happened so I'm posting this review. I go to Hmart in Lynnwood and Federal Way, and this was a first. Disappointed.

  • Dani Tran

Very convenient and prices are reasonable considering the location. There's not many Asian markets downtown so this is a good option. I normally purchase frozen meat and the cost is not far off compared other Hmarts. As others say, just be sure to check the freshness of some of their meals and fruits but other than that it's a solid store.

  • Jay Sungvorn

Small but clean HMart, I was walking to Pikeplace market so decided to check it out. To go food, u can pick up bucket of chicken with Korean seasoning, hot food options: Korean pancakes, chef special, rice bowls. Cold to go food like sushi, poke bowl, and many more options. It can be pricy than other Asian markets that is not in downtown.

  • Jessica cho

I was their last week and bought half zar of kimchi and it says $14.99 and I got charged $16.99 and most of the prices are different from the rack and it's on going problem, stop ripping low income people that is buying food with EBTWe are not buying there no more because prices are way way too high compared to other Asian Market..

  • John Kim

Pacific Northwest's premium K-grocery chain; convenient downtown location a block from Pike Place Market; take the escalator down to underground shopping for all of your Korean/Asian produce, meats, seafood, ingredients, snacks, gifts, alcohol, etc. + K-style fried chicken baskets, Mama's bowls, kimbop, etc. to-go …

  • Mike Sampson

Excellent Asian supermarket in downtown Seattle with good selection, reasonable prices and service that was clean. They also have a prepared foods section with discounts on items near the end of the day. Decent produce section with some non Asian food items as well. Excellent option for groceries if you are in downtown.

  • Susan Space

This place has a lot more options with Korean groceries than District H. Both awesome places but I probably will not go to District H unless I am in the neighborhood and need something quick. So glad an H mart opened up in this part of Seattle. I wish their meat selection was better and they had more meat options.

  • Henry Chin

Found this by accident. This HMart is smaller than most HMart. I was surprised to find Ginger Beer from Australia. If you’re staying at a near by hotel, can stop by here to pickup some bottle water, soda, and snacks. If you’re working in the area, can pick up some groceries. The kimchi looks very fresh.

  • Brad2112Rush

Good to have something other then Target to buy food downtown prices were good isles are narrow and well let's say they make the most out of the minimal space they have didn't like being followed around by the workers but can you blame them downtown is horrible...good store good prices wide selection

  • josh brzoznowski

this place is super shady recently. e.g., they're selling Kroger brand products at a huge markup... and my card was charged as "Goowha Market" which is apparently in Flushing, NY. also, there was a giant, heavy jalapeno hidden under the label in my package of more expensive peppers. what a scam.

  • Evan Prusynski

I used to love this place. It was my go to. But this is the third time where I have gotten food from their hot bar that has gone bad. I won't be going back for the hot bar food for a while, which is a shame-When it was hot and fresh, it was a fantastic deal. Now it's more likely to be rotten.

  • G Frye

We got all we needed there during our week long trip near Pike Place Market. To take advantage of the Seattle experience, I recommend getting milk, eggs, bananas, bread, fruits that you like, and bacons for breakfast while staying in a place that you can cook near Pike Place Market.

  • Shawn Clifford

“Feels like a secret location.” Down the escalators you’ll find a wide variety of Asian Foods, Produce, Drinks, Snacks and even Hot Meals. Location is very clean and up to date with jazzy music. Friendly atmosphere and great locate to check things out. Located close to Pikes Place.

  • Warren Trout

Good for Asian groceries. High prices. Last time I was in, the music was blasting. It's a grocery store, not a nightclub. I asked to turn it down. No change. Maybe it makes the employees happy. Good for them, but this customer will now be shopping at Uwajimaya. It's cheaper anyway

  • Vera Grey

I always love H Mart. I feel like they have the best food and it's always unique. I especially love their Kimchee and I always get the thinly sliced beef so I can (try to) make bulgogi at home. This one has a nice selection of unique beverages and I always try a different one!

  • Hamster Gaming

I was on my senior trip and was walking around and decided to come to this store. It was great, from the kind staff to the variety of different foods and snacks. I live far from Seattle but if I were to come visit again, I would for sure come back to this store. I love it.

  • Debbie Oreiro

I just bought me a fried rice on the hot food section and it turned out spoiled...doesn't smell right. 5 bucks down the draine. I notice some of the fruits aren't taken care off too. Hopefully whoever in charge will act upon it or maybe the DOH will all visit your stores.

  • Bruce Bailey

I lived in Virginia and love hmart. They're none where I live. This is a very nice and well stocked store. It's a great place for a visitor to buy snacks and stuff in a big urban city. If you like to cook Asian food and lived in Seattle, this would be a weekly stop.

  • Daniel

This place goes hard. Deceptively small appearance opens up to a full store underneath. Only complaint is the design limits the cashiers to about 4 - and only 2 were working at 6 on a Sunday. Caters to a younger crowd. Plays rap from east Asia which is pretty cool.

  • Jessica Baker

Their grab-&-go always has something tasty for a good price. Enormous selection of kimchi, ramen, wine, snacks, & produce. Also quite a few options for dishware & housewares. Little cafe area downstairs with a microwave so you can eat there, or at tables upstairs.

  • Jose Rodriguez

I bought food of the hot bar this is my 3rd time and it seems like every time find myself disappointed the food tastes old I will never go there for anything ever again I bought some fried chicken and the chicken skin had pieces of bones fried on to the fried skin

  • Thomas C

This specific store is nice. The location is super convenient, and the store was also clean and well-stocked. One drawdown was that the store front has many shady people. I didn't feel super safe and I also witnessed a thief being driven out by the store workers.

  • RYH K

Well stocked Korean centered Asian grocery. Selection is not nearly as expansive as the larger Federal Way or Shoreline locations, but clean, well organized and tidy. Knowledgeable and helpful employees. Will shop here until the Capitol Hill location opens.

  • Eugene Suh

Unbelievable! They sell the beef that already out of date!! I purchased the beef on 10/30 and I found it was sell by 10/28 Under the two-hour refund policy, it can only be thought that it is intentional to refrigerate meat that has expired two days.

  • Paulinette

Be careful! Spoiled food! Mold on vegetables, mushrooms etc!! Third time buying "Cheese Cake with poppy seeds" and the third time it has blue mold! I also bought cottage cheese and it was also spoiled! You can get poisoned in this store! Be careful!

  • Ruth RH

I'm so excited to find another Asian grocer even closer to my home. I had not seen it earlier, because it's in the basement of its building, but it's a great little find. The vegetable and fruit selection is fresh and varied. Like District

  • Septiana Wulandari

It the best place to shop for Asian snacks especially Korean snacks and korean instant 3 in 1 coffee. Also their ready to cook meal were decent. And their banchan/side dishes are great! And they're price is okay. Becareful with their fresh

  • mercy brown

great selection of grapes! tons of variety you can't get elsewhere. nice selection of hot meals for reasonable prices, especially considering the overpriced downtown area it's in. lots of good snacks and drinks here as well. the staff are

  • B M

Good store but no toilet for customers? The employees couldn’t tell me that the bathroom in this store was closed and couldn’t even tell me where the closest bathroom was. Even the security guard couldn’t explain the closest bathroom. I

  • Patty R

During my stay in Seattle, H-Mart has become my happy place. I've been going nearly every day for almost two weeks. Why? Because...there is deli-fresh Korean fried chicken, Pocky of many flavors, a variety of cold coffee and tea drinks,

  • Eugene Lin

Great place to pick up tasty snacks. Their marinated beef bulgogi and spicy pork are great for cooking. At lunch they have a bunch of ready-to-eat to go meals. Parking can be challenging downtown. The staff there are always super nice.

  • Carl Joslin

They have a great Deli with hot food. Many different lunch options. Great selection of noodles, ice cream and candies. I couldn't believe I found Mars candy bars there. The checkout staff is always very friendly too. Great store.

  • Isabel

Awesome new location! I'm used to the University Way location, which is more cramped but still nice. The hot food bar and seating area for eating seems really really nice! Can't wait to try the fried chicken and ddukbokki …

  • Ralph Caffery

This might be the best place in downtown Seattle to eat out. You get a lot for your money, it’s already hot, and it’s really tasty. The grocery store has a lot of options. The store was clean, and the checkout counter was fast.

  • Jack Strubbe

An amazing abundance of dry goods and fresh produce, all, of course, with a focus on difficult to find Asian varieties. Generally good prices. I love this place. Well lit, which for an older customer like myself, is important.

  • Atari Betamax

Great little store in the heart of downtown. Plenty of great food offerings. They have kimchi! Huzzah! Prepared food, produce, staple goods. Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean. I'll add more pictures later. Am too hungry!

  • easylifesniper “easylifesniper” iam

This Korean grocery store is ideal for those seeking grab-and-go hot meals, offering a wide range of Asian snacks and meal plates. It’s also a convenient spot for a variety of unique Asian ingredients and condiments.

  • Carol Mackin

Has a lot packed in small store. Variety selection of cuisine (meals, produce, meat, frozen items, drinks, noodles, etc.). Staff moves checkout lines quickly. Have shopped there many times when near downtown.

  • Charles Tay

So glad that this opened up in downtown Seattle. Pretty decent space with great selection of Asian food. From vegetables, meat, to frozen stuff, snacks, drinks, it’s a great place to do grocery shopping!

  • Kai Dwd

It's a very well-organized and neat shop and the location is so good that I buy food for lunch here and eat at the fish market. The disadvantage is that there are few items on sale than other H marts.

  • Tommy Lee

You guys are cheating the consumers and you guys are price gauging and prices are different from the posted on the rack, we the Seattle downtown low income people are getting ripped off by your greed.

  • Sameha Morgan

Had us waiting outside the store in 9F weather, while employees were locked in the store on their phones right in front of us! so yeah probably my least favorite H-mart in all of Washington state…

  • Bao Vang

I thought this place was dope! We bought the ready to eat bbq chicken with cucumber kimchi and chicken Katsu Curry but I forgot to snap any photos. The only photos I have are these two …

  • Natallia Kazheunikava

Be very careful. They sell expired products. Some of them (like cheesecake bars) do not have an expiration date on them and you can only tell by the taste that those bars are expired.

  • Sophia Garoutte

They have Beaver brand Dijon Mustard and I couldn’t find it anywhere else! Also lots of well stocked aisles and cheap produce! The grab and go food is also nice. I like the onigiri.

  • H. Becker

Not many grocery type stores are available in downtown area. Impressed with size of store & the number of grocery items there are within. Just walk in & proceed to lower level.

  • Oliver Queen

Great for folk in the city. Hard to shop there with a car seeing how no parking till after 7. Store is great, products are great, hot food is great, customer service is great.

  • Clayton Blythe

I have a feeling this is going to be my go-to grocery spot downtown now. No shady characters loitering outside, great produce prices, and plenty of exotic fruits and spices

  • Eric Bacon

Love this hmart. It's bigger and nicer than the others I've been to. But some stuff definitely reflects downtown pricing. Premade food is great. Get some BBQ chicken.

  • josh kim

Surprised there in one in downtown Seattle. Smaller in size but has a lot of the Korean items I can't get back home. Just some random items I found in h Mart.

  • Andrew Guss

Nice scaled down version of H-mart. The full version in federal way is still the best, but it was nice to pick up things for dinner here before heading home.

  • Jackie Carpenter

A must stop for an affordable meal and tasty treats! The best to go dinner as pikes market closes around 5:30/6. A to go meal is only 9.99! What a steal!

  • KaileySky Sky

A bit pricy. The shop is located underground close to Pike Place Market and has some basic Asian stuff. The deli zone doesn't have much food to offer.

  • Deka Ditya

They have freshly made Asian dishes Grab n Go. My favourite is the Chicken Katsu Mayo. Various brands of Asian products are available in this store.

  • Moonbeam009

Small but cute! Clean, lots of hot food to choose from. No clearance section, but they have the staples of any Asian grocery store. Typical pricing

  • Stephanie Lucas

I love H Mart! This was the perfect spot to pickup snacks, some prepared meals and drinks on my visit to Seattle. They had everything I wanted.

Great store - but watch out if you're buying mochi's. I unknowingly bought moldy ones three times in the past couple of months. ☹️

Our goto place for veggies and peppers. They have a wonderful selection and everything is very fresh. Friendly service too!
