Every-time I come to this location and use the self checkout I experience terrible customer service from your employee Woody. Under no circumstances should an employee treat a Customer like a burden. Unfortunately self checkout from time to time prompts team members to assist customers. Woody should be understanding if this instead of being so unenthusiastic and annoyed. After all I am already checking myself out which is reducing your company payroll cost. If woody does not want to assist guest with self checkout situations then maybe he should be moved to a different department. I’m sorry if I had 5 items over 10 as woody mentioned. If this is an unwelcome situation then id suggest having more then 2 lanes open to assist your guest. We don’t have to use self checkout. I understand staffing is low hence why I do not mind using the self checkout. I just do not appreciate the way Woody treats customers. Maybe it’s been a rough month for the guy or maybe he just needs a refreshing course on quality customer service. None the less I am grateful for the ones that do work and provide superior service at this location.

Very clean store. The staff are usually very friendly. My complaint is directed at their deli area and the team that oversees the section where the Meal Simple meals are kept. There was a time when this section was fully stocked with a huge variety. I visit this location approximately 4-5 times a week and always visit the Meal Simple section. Lately, the section is half full, with a cart holding trays full of meals waiting to be put out to be sold. The cart is usually unattended. Today, I once again visited the section where there were meals with red stickers that read, "FEATURED DISH" on them. There was a sign indicating that any dish with this sticker would be discounted $2 at the checkout register. When I went to check out today, not only did the cashier not know how to properly apply the discount, the Deli Manager didn't know as well. Very unprofessional, as I had to wait 10 minutes for them to figure it out. Will go to another HEB next time.

I've been shopping here for years. It's not the biggest store but it will most likely have what you need or want. I use the pharmacy here which also has a drive up. Recently, an eyebrow/eyelash kiosk opened and I've heard good things about it. Even though this store is at a busy intersection it's never really crowded. The store has had some upgrades. The makeup aisle is much better selection now. They now have permanent plexiglass dividers at each register. Although at 8p only one register was open. Self check out is definitely preferred at most stores nowadays. ***Update ***6/23/22 Not only did they have everything on my list but I also saved over $15! They also had 3 registers open besides self check out. This was a good visit. May 2023 Still shopping here as my main store. They definitely have some steady business. Although I would like to see some other name brand products and a bigger selection of cookies would be nice.

Love this HEB everyone is friendly and kind and willing to help. Your parking lot is awesome I always see Woody outside working hard and keeping it clean I also see him hard at work in self checkout running around helping everyone. I feel bad when people give him grief because the guy does work super hard and he does try to help everyone. I know that customer Kevin he is always a grumpy guy and I know he was giving Woody a hard time. But HEB your awesome and let Woody know he is an awesome guy and a very hard worker!!!! You also have a girl called Destiny working as a cashier and she is such a great person she is always smiling and I enjoy talking to her very much and there is a manager called Katie I always see her smiling and laughing I enjoy her very much she has the best personality yall have a lot of great people working here I love this HEB!!$

H-E-B is the place for me !!! Love the variety of foods and fair prices at H-E-B. The store is clean, and the employees are courteous to a fault. I am still in shock at the low prices for food compared to the last city I lived in. This store is an adult amusement park for stocking up on items for the larder to have for those days on which you want to cook from scratch. The Beef. The Pork. The Pollo. Superb. The Sauces. Cholula. Sriracha. Tabasco. Sublime. The Bakery. Wife says to close it because I spend too much time there ! The Deli. Wunderbar! ALWAYS good stuff there. The Employees. They always treat customers like family. The Prices! Can't be beat.

I like this HEB a lot. It is conveniently located and a manageably sized, easy to shop store. Generally, it is well stocked and the produce department offers excellent, fresh choices. If you are a shopper like me that often runs in for what I will eat today, I go in with an open mind, as there are great manager specials to be found in produce and the meat department! You can make a great, organic meal for half the price and spread budget for other full priced. Lastly, the managers and partners are super helpful and friendly, but if you would rather check out yourself, there are plenty of stations to do that too. This is truly my HEB!

Someone in my group was buying alcohol for themselves (purchase completely theirs) and the cashier would not sell it to him because she said it was policy for everyone in the group to show their ID’s and not the person who’s paying like it’s always been. Today an older man at self checkout was watching me the entire time as if i was stealing, asking me if i had scanned everything & then proceeded to remind me self checkout was only for 10 items when i had about 12 and there was about one other person in the entire self checkout area. Idk just my two cents. Employees could definitely be nicer in some instances.

Worst experience with the "sushi cook" one day i asked for something with no avocado because I'm allergic, he say all of them had avocado, i checked and saw a couple with no avocado in it... Asked if he could make one without it then, he refused... Ok so no sushi for me, next visit same guy, i got a spring roll because i know this guy was not going to do anything for me, so i asked if he can give me a soy sauce packet for it, he just laughed at me and said "no soy sauce no no no" like dude that's how I like it Zero customer service skills, and besides that insults your client? No thank you

Tobi was the best cashier I have ever seen in the entire HEB corporation. He not only said hello he asked how my day was. He actually cared about me. No one has ever asked me how my day was. So I vented about my entire day and he stared into my eyes as he scanned each item not blinking once. He even gave me not one but three buddy bucks. BEST DAY EVER. When I found out he was hearing impaired I asked if he knew braile and he just nodded his head. 10/10 what an experience I will be coming back every single day!! Thank you so much Tobi you are a legend.

This is the best HEB that I have ever shopped at! Not only do they have an outstanding staff and a variety of delicious products, but they're open 24/7 as well which catapults them far above the rest! The night crew is outstanding stalking the shelves and cleaning the store while assisting the customers that prefer shopping when there's less people around (like me!). I had an amazingly wonderful experience with an employee named Gina and that's what prompted this review. Give them a try if you get the chance! Ask for Gina! You won't regret it!

I like how clean this store is... Unlike walmart where the items get mixed together and thrown on the floor because of these dimwitted lazy parents ignoring their bratty kids as they throw temper tantrums and no employee cares enough or has enough store pride to pick up and organize things... I can always walk into an HEB and know that everything is organized and prices correctly! The employees are always super friendly and helpful as well! Oh and I love the yellow coupons! I wish they would stack them with manufacture coupons, though!

A good HEB that meets their customers needs in the neighborhood. A bit limited in their selection. A few exits away is the HEB at 1604 and Blanco Rd where the options are greater. More square footage means more options. Both have great staff and very willing to help you find or request something. HEB, another awesome Texas company of San Antonio. HEB does a great job making their customers happy with items that fit the neighborhood and where you can always find a great deal or price on your favorite items.

This HEB has the most helpful employees. The store seems to always be clean and the isles are spacious. Prices are reasonable especially the HEB brands. The bakery has a humungous assortment of fresh treats for the entire family. Fruits and vegetables are always fresh and deliciously displayed. There's also a convenient location to pay utility bills, take care of County and State bills. If you can't find it at HEB, you probably didn't need anyway. 1604 and 281. Very popular place. Handicap friendly.

I'm not sure if this is on a bus route but the homeless here is a mess. The staff here is without compassion for anyone in need of any service. I needed someone to check on some meat that they should have plenty on hand but the clerk said "Some one will restock it at 4AM". Are they open at 4AM? I think not. Do not wander the parking lot at night. I found the security guard in the store chatting up a cute clerk and not at all concerned about doing his job. This place needs some serious re-training.

This was my first time here. I go to another HEB closer to my home. I have to say this one's okay, I like another one better the produce section is bigger their deli section is a little bigger and better. But everybody was super friendly and the store was clean. Can't say that I'll be back, I like the Superstores better more options a little more fun to shopping when you're dropping a couple hundred bucks LOL I guess I'm getting Fancy Pants in my old age. Love the HEB brand though

Update: BEWARE of store coupons...I had approximately $10 savings that did NOT register at check out and most worthy sale items not in-stock and cashier informed me it has been that way for a while Regional and corporate supers in town, so everyone was on top of their game (department). We even received person greetings and compliments from all workers that we encountered. Including personalized assistance on picking out specialty wine in Spirts section.

Poor customer service by store manager & manager over healthy food & bulk dept. 5 expired kombucha items on shelf & 2 that were going to expire next day. Would not mark it down like the man did last time as they were going to expire & were rude about it.They would rather through it in the trash than mark it down like all the other depts. & other stores do. Poor, ignorant business management. I love HEB but I hate this store.

I like the quality of the place it's always clean and good quality store brands that are normally higher quality. The fresh food is really good. The customer service is pretty good and even the smaller stores inside like the phone shop seems better then most stand alone locations. Really good prices and they show you the price per weight or volume which is really appreciated.

I love shopping in this H‑E‑B. The staff is superior to any other store I have visited. They are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and work hard. They remember their customers and treat me as if they are so glad for me to be there. I feel welcomed in all departments. Thank you for such a great staff and family atmosphere. Been shopping here for 20 years at least weekly.

H-E-B is our go-to place for most groceries. They have just about anything you could want from a grocery store and are well-organized with good signage. They have a helpful app when you are not sure where to find stuff. This location doesn’t have much in terms of organic, gluten-free or healthier foods, so try H-E-B Alon Market for that stuff. Convenient location.

I was approached by a woman and young daughter. They asked for money, said it was kids b-day. I gave $50 to pay for the groceries ( cake, chicken, sides) They say "please, and God bless you" a lot. The girl is well coached. I get suspicious and follow, they approached another man before exiting the store. I chased her down and gave her a piece of my mind. Beware.

I go to this H-E-B quite frequently, and the portioning for the premade sandwiches has gone down exponentially since moving here two years ago. There’s twice as much bread as there is sandwich ingredients in the sandwiches and it is not worth five dollars. It’s not even worth two to be honest. Severely disappointed. They used to fill the sandwiches up like crazy

Products and store in general is good, but the management is inefficient, the machine that gives the coupons for the bottles of water has not been working since almost have year ago, I know is an external provider, but everytime I complain about that all they say is; "is not in our hands". Then do not sell 5 gallon water. UPDATE: Two days in a row with no water

Love self pickup. I work long shifts so being able to get my items dropped off at my vehicle is Fantastic. John helped me with pickup on the the 13th around 630pm. He was very kind and sweet and even handed me my frozen ice cream so I could keep it inside the front so that it didn't melt from the heat. Thank You to John and the rest of your staff.

The manager Katie seems to be so caring to the employees. 3 years of observing her interactions during my check out is wonderful. She really does seem to care about her employees wellbeing. She is always pleasant and patient. I swear, through the pandemic, she must have been your only manager cuz she was ALWAYS there. That lady deserves a raise.

This stores employees are not the best. *Poor bagging. Everhing haphazardly bagged. *Cahier's greeting was more of a grun than a hello. *Store was slow. Guess management was bored. One does not like to be followed around as he shops. Everything is definitely not better here. Guess I'll say adios to his heb because there are better HEB stores.

They still don't carry the Cafe Ole bottled coffe - Mocha Lite or any other flavor. Barely can stock Starbucks bottles and no lite offered on those either. Seems to be more and more HEB products and less name brands. Greed over selection. Not good. Not my HEB. They have failed. But hey, let's just keep blaming Covid and distribution.........

The most friendly and helpful staff of any establishment I have been in since relocating here 6 months ago! Every employee I crossed paths with asked if I needed help and had a huge welcoming smile! My cashier even used a coupon for me to save me some money during these rough times. I love this store! Keep up the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER CARE!!!

HEB is an amazing grocery store with a lot of heart and amazing employees. Their food prices and selection are great and they always have great sales. I've been around the country and haven't seen anything quite like HEB. They consistently list at the top of customer and employee satisfaction in Texas and the country.

I love HEB, don't get me wrong. This one is hard to get to since the addition of the 281 fly over. The one at 1604 and Bulverde is better but I think it has been overwhelmed due to demand. I would rather take a sharp stick in the eye than go to the one at 281 and Evans. Through no fault of HEB, it's the customer base.

This Heb is bigger than the closet one to us, but they carry the peanut butter mini milkbones that I cannot find at some other Hebs. I've had couple of occasions where I could not find a product. Finally asked an employee that was very helpful each time with a smile on thier face. Good customer service is priceless!

Really good H-E-B they always have a clean store. Helpful staff and great deals. Sometimes they have free samples. That’s always a pleasant surprise. They are well run and the employees seem happy. That always influences my shopping choices. The store brand stuff here is really good. Everything is easy to find.

I genuinely live this grocery store. HEB has a place in my heart and their grocery stores never disappoint. This store in particular has pretty friendly produce employees who will go out of their way to ensure you get the freshest produce. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, pretty much everyone here is friendly.

I really enjoyed shopping at this HEB because despite the situation that was going on due to the local Snow Storm, I was able to find food for my family! I was able to see the employees diligently restocking the shelves to help the families in need have the high demand products available to meet their needs.

I love the staff here. Even when I show up at the last minute me and my family are always greeted with a smile. I've been coming here since when it was a 24hr store and the night supervisor has always been one of my favorite people. She pays attention to her customers and is always a joy to visit.

There is a Cash Register woman named Agnes who was very rude to me and my friends - Not only was she Unhappy but very condescending - I suggest having her work the back because clearly customer service does not come natural for her. Definitely not a good representation of the company.

Absolutely love curbside at this H‑E‑B. They are so fast and courteous. I wish all H‑E‑Bs were like this one. I even saw them load up a truck with a hugeeeee order. Like three of those tall stack rolling shelves things into that truck and they got it done in less than 10 minutes.

I love My HEB. Helpful staff, always great prices, selection, and fresh picks. I love the way it is setup. Easy to find what you need, and always a friendly HEB member to help if you need. They do a great job keeping checkout lines speedy and the parking lot is spacious.

I go to this HEB regularly. They usually have everything in stock that I want, with the exception of sometimes being very under-stocked in canned cat food and in some bath products. The people who attend the self checkout are very nice, and I enjoy talking with them.

I've visited this HEB twice and my experience for both times was great. The first time I went there I couldn't find what I was looking for and a customer service representative helped me . He was very attentive and he made sure I got what I wanted.

The interior is a bit tight and can often times feel crowded but other than that, HEB does it best when it comes to grocery stores. Never have an issue finding what I need, prices are always fair/competitive and the HEB branded items are top notch!

Shout out to HEB, that I shop when visiting family in San Antonio. I just shopped our local Kroger here in Ohio, and what a mess. Low stock, low staff, 1 full service check out only, no baggers. Don’t know why, only know HEB does it better!

I use the self checkout most of the time. I love that when lines are long, a manager will tell you to go to 15 items or less since no one is there. H.E.B. is always helping their customers. I am not sure how San Antonio did without H.E.B.

I asked for a discount on some badly packaged food items and they told me they couldn't help me. Kind of sad if you ask me. It seems like as HEB gets more of a monopoly on groceries they get less and less customer friendly.

HEB was great . I don't know why I forgot there was one at this location.layout was so convenient. I was able to get milk and stuff and pick up sinus meds in the same side. Thank goodness. Great specials, lirs of coupons

They stock the burritos that my son and I really enjoy. Plus, Ritter Marzipan can be found here. They also carry a wide variety of other inconsequential foods for mere mortals who have not found heaven in marzipan.

Its HEB, it's what you expect, it's great. We primarily do curbside now just because but, when we do have to go in it doesn't feel like a chore. Nice and clean with a good selection and hard working staff.

Home H‑E‑B store. Every visit is good. Always stocked and has a nice flow on the floor. All workers are always willing to help and carts are cleaned and sanitized. Always happy when I need to shop.

Love HEB. This location had a lot of new people who messed up our order and took FOREVER to figure it out. Update, customer service was backed up, but it moved smoothly. Found everything I needed.

The lady watching the self check out cancels my order because she didn't believe we scanned a cake. Then after she saw it on the monitor she left really quick without saying anything.

Good grocery for a quick stop, but since they are smaller (good to go in and out faster) they don’t always have every need. Also feel the store could use a little lift.

The Parmasian chicken was good but a little dry. My husband had the spaghetti with meatballs, and he loved it. Salad and bread sticks are always excellent!

HEB needs to make an effort to keep their bathrooms cleaner, knowing that some people are disgusting and don't care about leaving a mess.
