DO NOT RECOMMEND. I walked into this salon with a very creamy blonde balayage. I booked in for a toner (as I couldn’t get into my usual salon) for my ends as tape in extensions were very light and I wanted them toned down slightly. The owner who consulted me was very rude, she didn’t greet or introduce herself to me nor actually try to understand what I was wanting even though this was a new client for them. When explaining what I wanted, she was very arrogant and would not take what I was saying for an answer, even though I repeated myself so many times. I even tried to show photo examples and she dismissed it. I was very clear at the start of my appointment that what I was wanting is for my ends to be slightly darker, as in not such a white blonde but not as dark as my roots (as I have a balayage). After the toner was put in my hair was a severely over toned to a grey/silver, my creamy blonde hair was completely changed to a different colour. When I raised this, the owner’s first reaction was to put the blame, advising that she matched the ends to my roots like I wanted when that’s not what I ever requested. She also try to argue saying that I never said I wanted my ends slightly darker, when this is what I had been saying the whole time. However, said it could be fixed and it’s not irreversible. Another toner was put on resulting in my hair being even darker, it was closer to brown than blonde at this point. I expressed again that this is not what I wanted and I’d rather just have what I walked in with. This is when I was told that they wouldn’t be able to get my hair back to what it was unless they use bleach as toner over toner darkens hair colour. Even though I was told it wasn’t ‘irreversible’ prior to the second toner. This resulted with me in tears and them having to use a clarifying shampoo to try and get the toner out of my hair which completely dried out my hair. My appointment was booked for 6pm and I walked out at 10pm. I sat in the salon for 4 hours, all for a toner! If a salon can’t get a simple toner right than I am completely concerned by any knowledge this salon has. The owner of the salon, didn’t bother to see me before I left or apologise for her poor direction. Unless you want to walk out with severely over toned hair / dull hair and someone else’s idea of what your hair should be than I would not recommend. For a first time client, this experience was so horrific and unprofessional! In addition, I’ve found similar reviews to mine in regards to the owners argumentative behaviour and it’s so appalling to hear that several people have experienced this!

I used to come here often but the last two times I came here (not long before they changed their name from Hairhouse Warehouse) I was really disappointed with the staff. The lady that usually did my hair, Drew, was still doing a good job with my hair but she started making me feel uncomfortable. On my last visit there, she barely said a word to me and when I tried talking to her, a each time she would interrupt me to talk to one of the other workers or clients. Right near the end of my appointment, I watched her in the mirror pulling faces to a man who was occasionally walking in and out of the store gossiping (he had been staring at me the whole time for this particular visit) and nodded her head downwards towards me. Obviously the scrunched up face was about me! I have no idea what I've done as before this guy started visiting, Drew used to be really lovely and caring. Another weird thing is I had a friend suggestion on Facebook and the picture caught my attention as somebody I vaguely recognized.. Next time I went to the store and put two and two together. After asking Drew who the lady was, I was told it was the store owner Kerrie. (She's the one that looks and acts like Tabatha) She had been stalking me on Facebook!!! I've since changed my social media names as the whole thing left me feeling creeped out big time! It's certainly made me hesitant in leaving my real name with places like this! Note the other 3 reviewers are all Drew's friends... What does that say.

I called to book a hair color to have streaks done to cover my greys. All the lady must have heard is cover the greys . She booked me for 330 pm and when I arrived I was told they can’t do streaks but can just overall color as it would take 3-4 hours and they closed at5 . Next appointment available would be 1 week later. I said I had explained same the way I did just now and the lady on the phone said I would be done by 5. They were not impolite I would give them that. I have two young kids and I had to move mountains to get to this appointment and did not know how I would book next. I cried on the spot.. knowing they would not do anything . I had a concert I was going to after a good 12 years for which I wanted the hair, but no thanks to them that excitement was all ruined. Called them 3 times after I left to explain why I cried but they did not pick my phone. I don’t recommend them … they need to understand customers won’t use their exact hairdresser terminology to book appointments and the customers are busy … so when they turn down someone it is a big deal !

Walked out in tears! Horrible service by the owner “Lise”. I was bullied and belittled about the condition of my hair, even though when booking I was 100% honest with how my hair condition was, too which the salon still accepted the booking. Although now reading all the reviews, I’m not surprised that I was also treated in such a disrespectful way by Lise… seems I’m not the only one. And I’m sure I’ll too get a respond back to my review blaming me? Cause it seems that all bad reviews the customers are getting blamed and no accountability is being taken by the alone. I will NEVER step foot in this salon again. No one should EVER be bullied or made to feel belittled or ashamed about their hair, especially by a hairdresser. All the young apprenticeship in the salon were warm & welcoming, so Thankyou to those 3 girls for being genuinely kind.

We were charged $280.00 for half a head of foils and took over four hours . No cut, no blow dry nothing. Very unprofessional and aggressive owner spoke to me on the phone trying to justify the cost whilst yelling. I took my teen into 5 salons that night afterwards and all varying in price and the most expensive one quoted $180.00 and the others $120.00. Due to the time , she left with wet hair because we had to leave . Extremely unhappy, appalled at such behaviour and that cost was not justified any way look at it , according to several professionals who know the business. May I also add that a first year apprentice did it and regardless of instructions from owner I would also expect to be cheaper. She has light brown /dark blond and hair length to her armpits.

Very unprofessional- had a hair treatment and trim. The girl didn’t try to chat to me at all, but did chat to the staff near us about her holiday.. the worst part was when she put the treatment in she left me with my head in the basin for over 20 minutes for the treatment to sit. I was fighting myself whether I should get up and leave with the treatment in my hair because it hurt my neck so much. I was too embarrassed to say anything or leave, so I persevered through. I left with my hair looking terrible and me feeling terrible which has never happened before when I’ve left a hairdressing salon. I would never go, which is unfortunate as it’s walking distance to my house, so could have been super convenient.

I needed a rush job and appreciated them fitting me in. What a mistake! The hairdresser, turned out to be a 3rd year apprentice, had no idea how to blowdry hair. She did the motions but failed to create what I wanted. My hair turned out flat when I had said that I didn't want flat, wanted some bounce. I decided to make do and said, oh that's not bad. She then brought out the straightener that I had already said no to until I stopped her. She had another go at using a round brush but gave up. Forgot to mention that I had to change the direction of her conversation as she was moaning about her family non stop. I got charged $50 for flat hair and will never go back.

Asked for Balayage hair colour (blonde highlights over my natural black hair), cut, wash, toner and blow-dry, spent 5 hours there and got a totally different result (melt with reddish brown colours) than what I asked for, I was quoted $350 online and over the phone and the manager was gonna charge me $460 at the counter. Unfriendly and rude customer service from the manager in store. Blocked the page and will never go back again or recommend their service. On top of that, my hair has been completely damaged, it's become extremely dry and frizzy after the 5-hour treatment from Hair Tribe. Absolutely disappointing, I paid to have my time wasted and hair destroyed.

These girls are amazing ! Such a pleasure to find a salon with such friendly connected team members all invested in working as a team. As a hair stylist myself, I have not had better service. Brookes attention to detail applying bleach is outstanding. Colour match is even and no scalp irritation and my hair feels amazing, toner is perfect. Blow dry was quick , smooth and full of body, Lisa , the head Queen of this space is lovely, interested and caring of her staff, Yas, is a dynamo , full of energy , keen and is going rock as a stylist. Love the banter in this shop , where everyone is helping each other and great comaraderie.

My 7 month old daughter had her first hair cut here, and the service was fantastic! I had to bring my 3 year old with me, and they gave her a packet of biscuits and allowed her to sit on the seat next to us. The hairdresser who cut my 7 month olds hair was excellent, she gave me good guidance re the best way to cut for her age, and took the time to make it look nice and natural. I forgot the locket of hair I wanted to keep, and the hairdresser managed to find me in the shopping centre to give back to me, which was really appreciated! Highly recommend this hairdresser if you have babies/children as they are very accommodating!

Drew has been my hair dresser for years and I have always gotten to best service . Always love coming in to see her, so lovely and chatty, and recommends treatments to keep my hair in good nick. Got my hair from bright red to platinum blonde without any damage and every step of the way did everything she could to keep it strong. Not only is her colour the best but she styles and cuts my hair so perfectly. Never had any issues, I would only ever trust her with my hair and will continue seeing her always.

Highly disappointed. The girl who washed my hair, told the hair stylist my choice of haircut. The hair stylist didn’t even tried to understand what I actually wanted and did the haircut. On finishing she didn’t even spent a minute to take my review or showing me my hairstyle from backside. She left to attend her friend in a hurry. There was one long hair left uncut which other hairstylist helped me to manage with. And they charged me a bomb for this pathetic service

Fantastic experience at this salon. Got amazing results and all the ladies were so friendly. I was a bit nervous after they washed out what I had originally asked for and the hairdresser made a few suggestions and adjustments and it made a world of a difference and I left feeling very confident. Sometimes what we envision in our head doesn't always suit and the fact the hairdresser fixed my mess up and was so polite and reassuring, shows how professional this salon is.

I’ll always go out of my way to get my hair done at this salon. A little pricey for a trim and a wash, but well worth it for the quality and time the girls spend on my hair. I’ve come 4 times in the last year and have always felt well looked after. The head massage is always deep and relaxing, and they show genuine care in all they do. My hair looks a million bucks and lasts for about a week after a wash, massage, cut and style.

I came in super nervous and honestly a bit scared to do something entirely new to my hair having never done anything too different before, and Mia was an absolute dream. She put up with my nerves, reassured me and I’m in love with the result. I felt so looked after, educated and genuinely cared for. Safe to say I will keep coming back, and can put my full trust in this team ☺️

I've been to many hair dressers in mawson lakes, I must say, Hair tribe is the best one so far. This was my second time, The staff is lovely. I got some suggestions from the lady who did my hair and it turned out perfectly. She knew what she was doing, truly professional. I highly recommend them. I will be back with a friend of mine who was looking for a hair stylist.

A real find! Recent arrival from Melbourne and had searched for a salon, First time attending, had roots retouched, foils, and significant cut and restyle. Done by Nicole who was ready for me, fully attentive and more especially an excellent colourist. Not cheap but definitely value for money and worth the search. Highly recommend this salon.

Awesome cut and colour. I always leave feeling gorgeous on the outside, but also happy from being in a fun and warm environment. I love that the whole team works together to make sure the younger stylists are learning the trade - it might take a bit longer, but you can see how passionate they all are. Highly recommended.

Hair tribe is great! I’ve seen a few of the girls for different reasons and they’ve all done a fantastic job but Amber is undeniably the best hairdresser I’ve gone to. I recently had amber colour and style my hair before attending a wedding and I received so many compliments which made me feel amazing.

The staff are all SUPER lovely and very welcoming. It's a very warm atmosphere with amazing attention to detail and care for all their clients. Go in for a hair cut, colour etc and leave with a fresh cut and a smile. I 100% Recommend Lisa and her team.

First time at this salon recently, and had a great initial consult. Had a picture of what I wanted, which they achieved perfectly… the girls showed a lot of care for what my hair looked like during the process and really looked after it.

Professional salon with personality. The hairdresser who cut my hair was friendly, timely and gave me a great cut. Would easily recommend to anyone in the area. Price was not too expensive and they even gave my hair a wash afterwards.
